Neighborhood Overview
Chelsea is a unique neighborhood filled with many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and galleries (see the map for recommended ones). Chelsea is on the border of the trendy Meatpacking District and West Village neighborhoods, the Flatiron district, and the shopping-filled Herald Square. The neighborhood is also a convenient walk, bike or subway ride, or taxi trip to Times Square, Brooklyn, Museum Mile and more - just ask for recommendations!

Transit
3 minute walk from the C/E and 1 trains. 5-8 minute walk to the L, A, 2/3 trains. 15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride to Penn Station. There are also many bus stops and Citibike stations nearby.

Guests will have private access to the studio. The entrance is up the stoop and the 2nd door as you enter the front door.

We absolutely loved this studio! The location is perfect - very convenient to the 23rd Street subway station which will take you pretty much anywhere you need to go in Manhattan. The studio is at street level on a surprisingly quiet street (at least at night) which makes getting in/out much easier than a place with an elevator or tons of stairs. The studio is small (hence the name), but doesn't fall short on the essentials - spacious bathroom with a HUGE shower and a smart kitchen in case you want to dine in (several grocery stores are nearby). The sofa bed was nice and firm which felt great after a long day. We didn't manage to turn on the TV, but it seemed as though it would have everything you want if you're into that. Overall one of the best airbnb properties we've stayed in - clean, convenient, and a modernized interior with all the big city charm you could wish for. We will definitely stay again when we come back and highly recommend Isabelle's studio to friends and family visiting the "big apple"!
Jun 27, 2019Good location for Chelsea, Meatpacking areas and downtown Manhattan as a whole. Studio was clean and well looked after, and the host was prompt and friendly. My only issue was the studio is direcltly adjacent to the entrance for the building, so I was awakened several times by other people entering or leaving the building. (Doors slamming and motion sensitive lights coming on) If you are a light sleeper, this would be a major issue. Other, a nice studio

Jun 27, 2019I loved staying at this studio. It's very conveniently located in Chelsea with lots of great places to eat and drink within walking distance. The space is small, but has everything you need, including a recently renovated kitchen and bathroom. Isabelle was a great host -- very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. I would definitely stay here again!

I stay in AirBNBs about once a month in NYC and this was by far the cleanest place I've stayed in over the past few years. Very clean and comfortable. Jun 27, 2019In preparation, Isabelle was so responsive, informative, and kind to give us lots of recommendations for places to go out for different types of entertainment and dancing. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a nice welcome note, chocolates, and a very clean, decorated, fun place that was every bit of lovely as it is conveyed in the pictures. We certainly didn't mind being able to enjoy the smart TV every morning while sleeping in and listening to the sounds of the city through the front windows. I have already recommended this place to friends!
Jun 27, 2019Wow! Das war eine unvergessliche Zeit in Isabelles Studio. Die Nähe zu all den Hot Spots ist unvergleichbar und Chelsea eine Augenweide. Wer nichts mit der Menschenmenge am Times Square zu tun haben will, MUSS sich diese Gegend ansehen. Freundliche Leute und wenig bis gar keine Touristen sind hier anzutreffen. Das Studio war in einem tadellosem Zustand und ich würde wieder via AirBnb buchen, anstatt in einem Hotelzimmer zu versauern! Die Einkaufmöglichkeiten sind vor der Tür (24/7 shops, Kleider, Sneakers etc.) Isabelle war bestens vorbereitet und gab zu jeder Zeit Feedbacks. Danke Isabelle :) gerne wieder!
Jun 27, 2019My wife and I stayed at Isabelle's unit for two days in June 2015. It was everything that we were expecting. Great location - close to trains and plenty of bars/restaurants. The unit isn't huge but definitely big enough for a couple to spend a few days in without a problem. The studio is VERY clean - a big plus! Overall, we loved staying here and would recommend it to other travelers looking for a nice spot to rest their heads during a trip to Manhattan.
Jun 27, 2019Isabelle was a fabulous host! The check-in/ check-out process was simple, and she was flexible with our times. Her apartment was charming, well-decorated and spotlessly clean. The neighborhood was safe, central, and very easily walkable with public transport nearby. There were also many great shops, restaurants drugstores, etc. very close by. We had a great experience and would surely stay again.

Tuvimos una comunicacion muy fluida con Isabelle a traves de mails, ante cualquier duda o consulta su respuesta fue inmediata, el estudio es impecable, ordenado super limpio y comodo. El barrio muy tranquilo con negocios y bares muy cerca, muy cerca del subte y cerca del time square si uno quiere ir a pie, todo espectacular! Gracias Isabelle por todo!

Jun 27, 2019Cozy, charming and in a great location if your travels take you in and around Chelsea. The place was exactly as noted, neat as a pin, and was perfect for my wife and I for the two nights we were there. All fixtures are modern and stylish (except the vintage record player and Madonna album - nice touch!). Isabelle had a nice note waiting for us, and the HVAC, TV, Check In/Out instructions (replete with pictures for the technically challenged) and local recommendations were a great help. Speaking of local rec's, beer, coffee, pizza, and groceries are very, very close - we lacked for nothing. We can easily see ourselves staying here again - thanks for a nice stay Isabelle!

Jun 27, 2019perfect little clean and modern space in one of the best neighborhoods in new york. great location near tons of awesome food, drink and scenery, but even though it's on the ground floor, it's quiet enough to relax and get work done without disruption if need be. no real bed, but the pull out sleeper couch was plenty comfortable (who sleeps in nyc, anyway?). the bathroom was enormous, by new york city standards, and was a very welcomed surprise. isabelle was very accommodating to my schedule and provided excellent communication throughout to help ensure my stay progressed without a hitch. i would absolutely stay here again!

Jun 27, 2019Isabelle was in touch a week prior to check-in and was also very responsive to questions posed right after I booked the studio. She left us a welcome note, candy and breakfast food - which was a nice touch! Isabelle was helpful in letting us check-out on time yet leave our luggage at the studio for a couple hours before we had to leave to catch a flight home. The description and pictures of the studio are spot on - and it is even nicer than it looks when seen in person! It is cozy, yet spacious (especially for two people). The bathroom is gorgeous and Isabelle has it stocked with what you need. The neighborhood is very unique - in artsy Chelsea. It is right near the action, yet tucked away on a quiet street. The Port Authority and Penn Station are walking distance away (about 15-20 min) and several Metro line stations are just a few blocks away. We found it was walking distance to Times Square area, down to the Financial District and to the water in south Manhattan - although we enjoy walking. Great central location in Manhattan to explore the city and visit local universities.

The apartment it self was just like in the pictures and even better in person. Just enough space for 2 people. The welcome note she left for us was a nice touch along with some chocolate. The suggestions were also very helpful and tried almost all of them.

Jun 27, 2019There is a short way to the subway and to lots of shops from Isabelles appartment. We could walk to the Highline in a short time. It is a very nice, bright and clean appartment. Isabelle was very helpfull, and wenn we had questions, she answered very quickly. We can highly recommand the appartment, and if we once again are going to New York, we would love to stay at Isabelles appartment .
Jun 27, 2019We would highly recommend Isabelle's lovely Chelsea studio. It's compact but perfect for a NYC stay. Though it's in a terrific central area, it's quiet, with good stores nearby - Foragers for groceries and lovely sourdough baguettes, and Grumpy cafe for excellent coffee. Thanks Isabelle for these suggestions. The studio was very clean with good reference books on NYC. Our queries were answered promptly. Nice big shower. Would recommend making up the sofa bed daily for more room. It's firm and comfortable, unlike some sofa beds. Thanks for your hospitality, Isabelle. Just sorry we couldn't stay longer as it was booked already.
Jun 27, 2019Me and me wife enjoyed a 5 night stay at Isabelle's place in September 2015 and it was fantastic. Communication with Isabelle was easy and she was always very quick to get back to us regarding any queries. Gaining entry to the apartment upon our arrival was easy and everything went smoothly. The apartment itself was clean, tidy and beautifully furnished. It's also ideally located in Chelsea with lots of bars and restaurants just minutes away. It's also very handy for the Subway, with the closest station being just two blocks away on 23rd Street. We would definitely recommend Isabelle's place to anybody. We ourselves hope to return some time in the future. Thanks again Isabelle.
Jun 27, 2019This is a great little apartment - like a new hotel room - very fresh as newly (and thoughtfully) renovated. Felt secure (two key entries to get in, barred windows), quiet (quiet street, sound proofed windows, super quiet new AC), clean and comfortable. Only criticism (and it's minor) is I was only left one towel and hand towel for a two night stay (for one person). I wrote to Isabel and requested another but didn't hear back, so wonder if the message might have gone astray.
Jun 27, 2019I decided to surprise my boyfriend with a trip to NY for his birthday. I had stayed in Chelsea with my friends last year so I wanted to stick to the same area because I knew my way around and it's easy to get to anywhere from there. Isabelle was a great host! The studio was spotless, cute and cosy. It was perfect for our needs. Everything we needed was there and convenient to use; she made it really easy and it felt like it was our own place. We had a late flight on the day that we were leaving, and she was kind enough to look after our suitcases for the rest of the day. Her communication was great too, quick responses and clearly answered any questions I had. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Isabelle and Gary :)

Quiet neighborhood with good things to eat nearby, including a french bakery/pastry shop! Check-in and out was easy. Communication with Isabelle was perfect. Couch bed was comfy enough. Thanks!

Location is great; close to subway lines but also comfortable walking distance from Greenwich and West Village. The High Line is a less than a 5 minute walk.Isabelle was very responsive and check in and out very easy. I would recommend this studio unreservedly.

The apartment was very clean and had all the essentials that we needed for our short stay in NYC. The location of the apartment was great, close to the subway so accessing the rest of the city was fast and easy. Isabelle was very easy to communicate with, very prompt replies. Location is perfect, neighbourhood is lovely for morning walks . Isabelle was very kind and was available all the time. Jun 27, 2019What a lovely welcoming studio. Very clear instructions of how to get in, everything was as described and we even got a short personalised welcome note. The studio is superbly located for subway access and a 15 or so minute walk from Penn Station, a great launch pad for all the major attractions. The studio itself is cosy with all of the amenities you'd expect, loved the spacious shower especially. It was a great base for a short NYC anniversary visit for my wife and I.
Jun 27, 2019First off, I want to say that Isabelle was more than accommodating, and the unit was exactly as described (and pictured). It was a nice, small studio on the first floor. The neighborhood was a nice change in pace from the normal NYC, but only a short walk away from the craziness of Times Square, Rockefeller Center, etc., if you want to experience that. Overall, a great alternative to an expensive hotel. The bed (couch) was not too bad, but if you are a light sleeper you might want to bring an extra pillow and some ear plugs. Like most places in NYC (hotels included!) there was a lot of street noise throughout the night. We also had one incident that I can only assume doesn't happen often. At about 1:30AM we had the buzzer for our unit rang by a young woman who had clearly been out having a good time. No big deal, it's NYC so you should have a good time, but after her friend (don't know who she was there to see, I assume there are several units above the first floor but I have no clue) came down to get her and let her in the building, she started opening our door! I wasn't concerned for safety seeing as I could see her on the screen and she was obviously just a drunk girl acting drunk and opening what she thought to be her door, but the concerning thing was that it seemed like her key worked for our door before her friend grabbed her and stopped her. I don't know if there are multiple units, and I am only speculating since the door never opened all the way, but either way it was a frustrating experience to have to deal with at 1:30 in the morning. Back to the unit itself, the bathroom was nice and having a fridge is a nice benefit when in the city. The only real complaint that we had was cleanliness. We would have liked the unit to be a bit cleaner as we did find some hairs in the sheets they provided, but we were an early check-in so they may not have had the normal time to clean. The TV also didn't work while we were there, but you shouldn't be inside watching TV in NYC anyways. Isabelle was really a great host and allowed to to experience the city in a new way. I recommend staying here if you want to experience a different slice of NYC life.

Very clean, neat and resourceful space. Super comfortable bed, which was a pleasant surprise. Side note, the water pressure in the shower was amazing. Like Niagara Falls in there! Definitely will stay here again!

Jun 27, 2019My husband and I went to NYC for sight seeing and to celebrate his birthday. We were welcomed with a sweet note, bday wishes and chocolates. The studio was clean and in a perfect location, we truly felt like locals staying there. My husband is 6'4 and we were a little concerned about the pull out bed, but after reading other positive reviews, we decided to give it a try. The reviews were right! It was super comfortable! A perfect place to crash after sight seeing in New York all day. We tried almost all of Isabelle's recommendations for the the area and they were all wonderful! She was a GREAT host and always answered any questions very quickly. We would highly recommend staying in this studio :)
Jun 27, 2019My partner and I travelled to New York to spend both Christmas and New Years in this wonderful city. When we arrived we felt like locals walking up to our Brownstone and then up the stoop to our house. We were greeted by a little note welcoming us as well as a couple of chocolates (which were needed after the long flight). The studio was clean and was in the perfect location to see much of what New York has to offer with the Highline only a couple of blocks away as well as the Flatiron and many great deli’s and grocery stores near by. The Studio was comfortable and was fantastic to rest your tired feet from a day of walking. We also tried Isabelle’s recommendations and loved the coffee at Grumpy Café! We would highly recommenced staying at Isabelle’s studio.
Jun 27, 2019Isabelle's house is a perfect location for both Chelsea bars and restaurants and time square. We walked to most of the main attractions from the apartment. The apartment itself is cosy and stylish. Very clean and checkin and checkout was a breeze. We really enjoyed our time here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Isabelle was very good with communication. The best part (in my opinion) was the neighborhood. Many dining options nearby as well as drug stores and grocery stores. Will definitely stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019Isabelle's apartment was clean and conveniently located in the heart of Chelsea. It's small but exactly as per the photo - toilet was clean and newly renovated with great water pressure. I arrived late at night from my flight and Isabelle was kind enough to pop down to help me find the keys. The downside of the apartment is that it's located on the ground floor so if you're a light sleeper like me - it was quite noisy at night with a lot of street noise. I would bring ear plugs next time.

Unfortunately, everyone that has previously been hosted by Isabelle thought the same thing, apparently and booked all the possible dates that I could've booked in the near future. Need a studio with all the modern amenities and comforts of home? This fits the bill. I had a great stay and couldn't have asked for a better way to end my workday than to come back here and chill. Everything was as listed in the description and exceeded my expectations of what can be possible in a studio space like this. Crisp and comfy to be in and convenient location to so much of what NY has to offer.

Bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Awesome brownstone in a typical Chelsea street - with the stairway up to the apartment to match. Isabelle was very accommodating and helpful.
Jun 27, 2019Wow! Can't say anything negative about the Chelsea apartment!! Location was amazing and very close to the subway. Neighborhood was super safe and lovely with its tree lined streets. The apartment: VERY clean, comfy queen bed, huge bathroom and on the first floor!! Isabelle left fresh flowers and a welcome note also. You truly feel like a New Yorker staying here. A favorite area of the neighborhood is The Highline Park. I would highly recommend this adorable apartment!! Can't wait to come back!!

Jun 27, 2019Isabelle gave us excellent, easy directions to locate her lovely Chelsea apartment. This compact apartment is in a terrific location close to everything, it is stylishly decorated, very clean and tidy. The pull out sofa bed was surprisingly cosy and roomy, with good quality bedding. Instructions for using the air-conditioning would have been great as we had some very hot weather while we were in New York. Also a toaster and kettle would have been useful however we were able to boil water for a cup of tea in the saucepan. So all in all it is a real gem, we had a terrific time in New York. Jun 27, 2019This is a great place in a fantastic part of the city. It's very close to many subway lines and tons of restaurants. The High Line is nearby as well. The apartment is very modern and I was surprised at how large the bathroom was. Check in and out were both simple. If you're looking for a good home base from which to explore the city, this is an excellent choice.
Jul 27, 2019Isabelle was a great host. We were flying in after having spent 2 weeks in Europe and she had the sofa bed all made for us. We needed to talk to her about the AC and she was reachable and very responsive. In fact, it worked perfectly! The compact apt was lovely, the sofa bed was very comfortable for my husband and myself and the small kitchen and lovely bathroom were just right. In addition the location was ideal.

The location is perfect for travelers interested in exploring the city, with three major subway stations (taking you just about anywhere) in close proximity at 6th, 7th, and 8th Avenues. The air conditioning was very nice since I arrived during a heat wave. The convertible sofa bed is surprisingly comfortable. The wifi is strong and steady. And the neighborhood has charm and every convenience you'll need.

The studio was beautiful, very clean, and well appointed with a fabulous shower and very comfortablele sofa bed. The Chelsea side street was (mostly) quiet and exactly where we wanted to be! Great walking, restaurants, shops and of course the Highline close by! Can wait to stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019The location of the studio was perfect for us; a short walk to and from the subway; many places to eat nearby; seemed close to many places we wanted to visit. The studios was very comfortable and quiet. Our only suggestion would be to include maybe a notebook where the host and guests could leave suggestions of good places to rent bikes, etc., something visitors could refer to to get their bearings.
Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed our stay at Isabelle's studio. It's such a cool space! The location is perfect. Close enough to Meatpacking and LES, and the neighborhood itself has a lot to offer. Coordinating with Isabelle was effortless. She responds right away and provides meticulous instructions to make the check in process as easy as can be.

Jun 27, 2019Staying at Isabelle's studio was a joy! It was clean, comfortable, and the location was super convenient. Isabelle was very proactive about making sure I had all the information I needed for a smooth stay. I ended up walking to my work in Meatpacking most days and took the subway for more far-flung destinations. MTA has been doing a lot of subway construction on the weekends lately (or maybe I just have bad luck), so having all those stops nearby definitely came in handy. The apartment itself was tastefully decorated and well-lit. You can hear a bit of noise from outside during peak hours, but it's mostly quiet at night. Nice selection of books and records available, too!

Jun 27, 2019Upon my arrival, everything was exactly as pictured/described. I didn't realize how close this listing was to so many cool things (like David Chang's Momofuku and Milk Bar, The Meatball Shop, the Metropolitan Pavilion, the train stop that I needed most frequently, etc.). I actually even ended up getting my dress shoes resoled at the best cobbler in the city, which was a 3 minute walk from here. The pullout bed was arguably the most comfortable one I've slept on, the wifi access was consistent (important for me since this was a work trip), and the place had plenty of space. If you're considering this listing, just go ahead and book it. You won't find a better deal in Chelsea. I'm keeping this one on my list for future travels, for sure.
Jun 27, 2019Isabelle's place is a true gem. It is on a quiet and safe charming street. As soon as I entered the studio I could tell it had been freshly cleaned. The sofa bed as well as the bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom was all marble and the shower has great pressure and stays hot. The kitchen has all the supplies needed if you wish to make your own meals. It was a beautiful studio which I felt at home in and wish I could have stayed longer. I did not meet Isabelle but contacted her to find out how to use the smart tv and received an immediate response. Thank you for opening up your home to me and I hope to stay again next time I am in New York.

Studio was just the right size, very cozy and great value for money for site and size. Amenities were complete. Communication with her was easy. Jun 27, 2019Pros: nice location, fairly quiet street especially in mornings on weekends, close to where I needed to go for business, close to Whole Foods, Foragers, nice juice bar on corner, and a block away from Blossom, my fav restaurant in the area (I am vegan), very walkable area. It was indeed very clean, great water pressure in bath sink and shower, great hot water, but not in early morning (see below). Didn't use the kitchen so can't comment on that. Nice foyer entry, easy key access. Host easily accessible, very nice and responds quickly. Cons: Not a lot of storage/closet space and only about 6 hangers, but it wasn't an issue for me, just an observation. If you use a washcloth for showering you need to bring your own, there are hand towels and bath towels but no wash cloths. I mention it as I've never run across that situation in all my years of travel....and I use a washcloth. There was an issue with the bed sheets which owner tried to resolve but replacement sheets didn't fit so I just did the best I could. Bed may at one time have been really nice, but it's starting to go past it's shelf life. If it's just one person and you sleep on the outside section of the mattress you'll be fine but the bend in the mattress (from being folded into sofa position) is permanent at this point and the mattress sags into the crease which is not comfortable to sleep in. During weekdays at around 8:00 am there is absolutely NO hot water, an hour later there is, and perhaps even earlier, but if you get up at that particular time you might as well forget it being even lukewarm. My biggest disappointment was the TV. It does indeed say it's a smart TV in the listing and it's my fault for not noticing that, but...I really wanted to come back after working and watch the evening news or a fav program or two, but all you can do is a search on past news programs and watch clips....and it took waaay too much time to look around thro the available apps. I really missed just being able to turn on the tv and watch that evenings programming. I really wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked and so probably won't be back, but there are some very nice things about the place and everyone's experience and expectations are different....the things that I had an issue with might not bother someone else.

Isabelle contacted us a couple of days before with step by step instructions on how to get in to the apartment and was easily reached during our stay. The sofa bed was very comfy and the whole apartment very clean. We loved the neighbourhood, great to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Would highly recommend.

Jun 27, 2019Isabelle's place is a basic studio in Chelsea, and in a very good location close to restaurants, stores, and public transportation. The unit was clean and exactly as described, and she was a great host with very quick communication and provided all the information we needed. It is on the first floor (but up a small flight of stairs) so there can be a little bit of noise from people walking around at night, but we didn't have any problems with it. The unit is basic, and feels like a hotel room. The bed is a pull-out futon but was fairly comfortable and suited our needs. Overall, I would recommend staying here if traveling for work or just want a simple home base for exploring NYC.

The building and block are quiet, but right next to anything you could need or want. The unit itself is so clean, comfortable, and feels very homey. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone, and I'll definitely try to stay here again when I'm back.
Jun 27, 2019This was the perfect studio to land in for my first trip to New York City. Chelsea is a great neighbourhood and the very central location of this studio makes it easy to walk around. Alternatively, this spot is located very close to two subway stations that service the main routes through the city. As an added surprise, the street is also very quiet for that occasional cheeky sleep-in :) The studio itself is really comfortable with a large fold-out bed a great bathroom/shower and heating/cooling system.

Jun 27, 2019If you are looking for a quiet place in NYC, but also a place where you can enjoy all the touris attractions easily, this is the place for you. The house is clean and Isabelle quickly responses to all requests and always willing to help. There is a E line subway station nearby (3-4 mins walk i think) and so it will only take about 10 mins to Mid Manhattan. Also, Penn Station & Porthauthority Bus Staion is located nearby so if you are planning to go to Woodbury outlet or the suburbs of NYC, it will be comforatble to stay in this apartment. It sure is very close to Chelsea Market, Highline Park, Soho, and Lower Manhattan. You won't regret staying here!

Jun 27, 2019In town for a conference at the Javits a center and the location was perfect just a quick walk to the subway entrance and when the weather was nice a fairly quick walk along the high line dropped me right off at the conference center. Close enough to bars and restaurants but still located on a quiet residential street. The studio was clean and tue perfect size for two people. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back in NYC.

If you're a light sleeper, like me, consider getting some earplugs. You will get some street noise (like just about anywhere in NYC) and there are people coming and going in the building.

Jun 27, 2019Really nice little place, just like the photos. Think nice NY hotel with the added touch of a stove top, real size shampoo, and a nice table to sit at. The neighborhood is great - near grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and MTA. Check-in and check-out were so easy! There was some noise at night from other tennants coming and going. Would not stop me from staying again and in fact I hope to do so. Will just bring my sleeping mask and ear plugs which are NY staples! Absolutely recommend.

Traveling with an infant can be hard so it was nice to stay somewhere with a host that responds very politely and timely to requests! The apartment is as described, very clean, very comfortable. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the standard of the whole apartment, the restroom in particular. The sofa bed was easy to set up, spacious, and comfortable. We didn't use the cooking facilities as there are lots of great restaurant options nearby, but the kitchen was well stocked and clean. The next time we are looking for somewhere to stay in New York, we would love to be able to stay here again!

Prior before arriving, Isabelle sent me the best spots to visit near the apartment and, and during Charles followed up on my stay to see if everything was okay. I would definitely stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Great location. Very quiet street and unit. Very modern clean studio. Bathroom fantastic. Extremely easy check-in/out procedure. Excellent communication with the host. The only minor complaint would be the bed (convertible sofa unit - not a fold out) is a little firm and is pushed up against the wall so you have to roll over the other person in the bed to get in and out during the night. Certainly not enough to reduce from 5* rating but something to be aware of.

The location was also perfect for us as we were able to walk to most places that we needed to get to or quickly jump on the subway which was just a few short blocks away. The location was excellent, in a quieter part of Manhattan, with High Line just down the block and plenty of great cafés and restaurangs around. We never met Charles but he was quick to reply when questions arose, and we felt very secure with everything while staying in the studio.
Jun 27, 2019Charles's place was wonderful. Beautiful, clean space. Bathroom was a great size. Much bigger than expected. Sofa bed was more comfortable than expected. Everything we needed was provided including bathroom essentials like a hair dryer and shampoo/soap/conditioner. He even provided extra blankets for our baby to sleep on the floor. We were very comfortable here. I wouldn't stay here if you have more than 2 adults and 1 small child, but it's a perfect size space for that many people.

Jun 27, 2019Charles’ place was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. It was close to the subway, and some great restaurants/bars. We went to Coopers Craft & Kitchen (recommended by Charles) the night we got there. So good. Yummy craft beers and good. Perfect start to the weekend. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. Also the bed was very comfortable. We loved it! Hopefully we can come stay again when we visit NYC in the future! Thanks again Charles!

Posee todos lo que necesitas si eres un turista que va a pasar la mayor parte del tiempo fuera del apartamento, por lo que no es mu recomendable para gente que quiera pasar parte del dia en él, por lo pequeño que es, pero hay que considerar que la ubicación y cercanía al metro hace que los espacios sean asi. No posee tv por cable, pero si posee servicio por streaming. La cocina es pequeña pero sirve perfecto para preparar desayuno u otra comida que no sea tan elaborada. Charles es muy atento y te da las instrucciones exactas tanto para el check in, las reglas de la casa y el check out. En resumen, un muy buen lugar con una excelente ubicacion para turistas que deseen estar en Manhattan.
Jun 27, 2019This studio is just perfect - perfect location, clean, very nicely decorated with all the essentials and using good quality fixtures, tiles and design. It was great to have the shower essentials too. Basically, just bring toothpaste! And the shower is nice and spacious. The pull out bed is comfortable and easy to make. The studio felt homey right away. The Street is pretty quiet and I had no problem sleeping. The AC was quiet and efficient. Wi-fi nice and fast. Neighbourhood is ace. Basically, super place. Highly recommend.

The check in process was easy and we were so pleasantly surprised at how many neat little places were within walking distance. If you get a chance to stop by the trailer park lounge on 23rd (right off of 8th) you won’t regret it! We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

You are in walking distance of many sights, shops, and stores. The pull-out bed is surprisingly comfy and the bathroom is spacious. Jun 27, 2019Charles' place was super-cute and a great value - particularly for the location which is right in the heart of Chelsea. We were in town to see a Broadway show and to visit our kids who live in Brooklyn and his place was perfectly located for both. This is a New York studio apartment and so you shouldn't expect it to be huge but it was just right for us and very beautifully designed.

Jun 27, 2019Very Clean, modern, located close to everything you might want. It's on the ground floor and is a short walk to both the 7th Ave subway (Red) and the 8th Ave subway (Blue)... Fluffy towels, iron and board, lots of outlets, cable TV (though I didn't turn it on), silverware and dishes, A/C and heat controls, etc. It's a small place and the couch opens to provide the bed burns perfect for a solo or couple. The NYC street noise is as expected. Charles took care of a small issue within minutes and answered the phone immediately when I called. Overall a great experience and I would repeat.
Jun 27, 2019My husband and I stayed at Charles' apartment 3 nights and had a lovely time. It is very clean and the location is great. It's nice to have shampoo and conditioner so as not to have to bring with us. The futon bed is very comfortable and so all good.

Jun 27, 2019We had a lovely stay at Charles' place. He was the perfect host!! The neighborhood was quiet and charming and we even lucked out with on-street parking! The apartment was warm, cozy and meticulously neat. Check In, our stay, the information we were given and check out were all incredibly efficient. I will be checking to see if Charles' place is available for all my future NYC travel.

Jun 27, 2019Charles's place is exactly as shown. The space exceeded our expectations as it was comfortable, extremely clean and had all amenities provided. In the main living space, the pull-out sofa was comfortable and easy to assemble. The coffee table has wheels so it is easily mobile. We really appreciated the coasters provided to keep the table clean throughout our stay. The television has many interesting shows provided. In the bathroom space there were many towels provided and good quality toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, tissue paper). In the kitchen space the fridge was a fair size to store food and drinks. Charles provides basic kitchen tools and tea/coffee supplies. The most striking aspect of this place is the location. My girlfriend and I fell in love with the Chelsea area. The area is safe, the food spots are unique (especially when exploring the Chelsea Market nearby), and the neighbourhood architecture is stunning. We used the subway system heavily with the F, M and 1 trains being two blocks down - connecting us to all major attractions. The only critique of Charles's place is that depending on the day, it can get a bit noisy outside with sirens and pedestrians. However, we took this as part of the New York experience. Overall, we would most definitely stay at Charles's place again. Staying in the neighbourhood itself made us feel like we were integrated into the New York culture and community.
Jun 27, 2019This place is awesome! Check in and check out were ridiculously easy and the place is spotless! It is small but perfect for two people. The couch turns into a bed and it was very comfortable. The bathroom is very spacious by manhattan standards and the water pressure was great. We loved the neighborhood and never felt unsafe. Charles makes sure you have everything you could need, from shampoo and conditioner to an iron and ironing board! We will definitely be back.
Jun 27, 2019Couldn’t have asked for a better stay in New York! The location was central without being too near the congested areas, and a lot of our destinations were walkable. As for the home, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Charles left crystal clear instructions on how to get into the home as well as how to get best situated once inside the home. His place was stylish and neat. The restroom was beautiful, and even the futon bed was extremely comfortable to sleep on. Highly recommend!
Jun 27, 2019This studio apartment is located in an ideal place in Chelsea. Even though ground floor apartment, it was very quiet (for NYC). Easy walk from Penn Station and to lower Manhattan. Fold out couch was surprisingly comfortable and we slept like babes. Good temperature control so could keep unit very comfortable (cool or warm). Felt very safe. Close to LOTS of restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. Kitchen is small, not a place you really want to cook but fine for microwave, coffee, etc. Small frig allows you to keep leftovers, snacks, beverages. Apartment is super clean. Bathroom is comfortable size and shower is roomy. Getting keys was very easy, in a lock box with code that Charles supplies so no need to coordinate exact arrival and departure times. Exactly what we expected. Just remember this is a studio, and although well laid out (moveable coffee table) it is a typical NYC apartment, not super spacious. Worked ideally for us.

Jun 27, 2019Charles was very responsive and didn’t charge us when we accidentally broke a drinking glass. He even offered to clean it up for us! Overall amazing place and amazing location. Would definitely stay here again, but I feel like this place goes pretty fast. I used it for work, and I highly recommend!

Jun 27, 2019Terrific stay! The apartment is just as the photos show. Very clean and the interior decorating is thoughtful, smart and not overdone. The location is terrific....only steps away from several good coffee shops, restaurants and Whole Foods only a 2 blocks away. The studio is small but was perfect for my husband and me. I feel it would be tight for 3 adults. When comparing the rate to that of hotels -which would be as small or smaller I felt the rate was a good value -especially considering the location. We called Charles when we checked in to ask a question and he answered right away and so we were impressed by his attentiveness. I should note that on the Fri night of our visit we woke up to some late night conversation on the sidewalk (the apartment is on the first floor) but we turned on our phone's noise screen app and never was disturbed again so it really was not an issue. Again, overall great stay and would definitely stay again! Thanks Charles!

Jun 27, 2019Charles makes check-in a breeze. The studio was clean and quiet. I stayed here for a weekend and you're not likely to find a better space if you're seeing a show at Madison Square Garden. The location is fantastic! Aside from getting into town and heading home, I didn't need to use public transportation. Everything I wanted to do was within walking distance. The host also provides great recommendations on local spots to visit for food, drinks, entertainment, etc. Highly recommended!

Jun 27, 2019The flat we stayed at for a week in Chelsea was just as described: clean, cozy and convenient to shops, restaurants, and public transport. Most importantly for us, it was a stone's throw from the Joyce Theater, which was our focus for the week. The sofa / bed was surprisingly comfortable and the duvet provided made getting out of bed a hard choice! Access to the studio was easy and the neighborhood felt quite safe, though bustling. Charles was a responsive host and answered immediately when I sent him a message. I would definitely recommend this place to a single person or a couple for a stay in Chelsea.

Close enough to food and only 2 blocks from the metro! Would definitely recommend and stay again the next time we travel to NYC!

The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos. Easy check-in and check-out. I will continue to stay here when I visit.
Jun 27, 2019This is a great place for couples to stay and explore New York. My wife and I stayed here for a week for our first wedding anniversary and loved it! It is in a clean and comfortable part of the city, we never felt scared or uncomfortable walking the streets near the apartment. It is located very close to multiple subway stations, and less than a mile from Penn Station. The apartment is a great value and the perfect place to stay for exploring New York.

He gave us a real good tip about parking. The instructions to get into the studio were clear. The studio was sparkling clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely want to stay there again !
