The neighborhood is at 1500ft elevation, allows for a bit of a cooler experience in comparison to the downtown area. Quiet, residential neighborhood. Conveniently located within 15 minutes of downtown (Alii Drive), airport, and beaches. 25 minute drive to the town of Waimea. 30 minute drive to the town of Waikoloa. It is an hour and a half drive to Hilo. There is a small koi pond very close to the front door of the rental. If there are small children they will need to be watched closely around this water feature.

This space is absolutely stunning. It’s located about 15-20 minutes from the Kona airport as well as the local downtown area. Ocean views! The unit is brand new with very nice furniture and stylish decor. Beautiful lanai. Great barbecue and wonderful hosts. Full kitchen that’s great if you want to make your own meals. Loved having a separate living room and bedroom. There is a tv in both rooms. One thing I would suggest is having ear plugs because the rooster is up every morning. That’s pretty common all over Hawaii and other islands, so nothing on the guests. It didn’t bother me at all because I had ear plugs and my boyfriend didn’t have any but he still slept through it. My boyfriend and I loved our stay here. So grateful for the basket of tasty goodies, the books, board games, toiletries, and more. We would definitely stay here again!
Jun 27, 2019The space was much larger than anticipated. I thought it looked small online but was very spacious. It was a great place. Clean, great amenities....beach chairs and boogie boards and beach towels. She had marked her favorite spots in a book of the BIG ISLAND. It was wonderful! We would chose this spot again. Thank you Abby for being so caring and so sweet!
Jun 27, 2019Abby was a pleasant host, and the house was great! You're staying under the family (which are early risers), if you're a light sleeper, be aware of that. Abby provided a little welcome basket and Big Island book which was great. She also had boogie boards that we made use of. Nice little place!
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed our stay at Abby's place. It's airy, spacious, and very clean. The huge porch (with ocean views!) was a great place to enjoy meals. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels, and the snacks were a really nice touch (particularly getting in late after a long flight). We also liked being a bit away from the hustle and bustle in a cute neighborhood with lush plants everywhere. Abby was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. You will definitely want a car here. We weren't able to get a rental car until day 2 of our vacation. Uber/Lyft were fine until then, but we learned that Kailua-Kona isn't very pedestrian-friendly. We are very grateful to Abby and her husband for giving us a ride down to the car rental place once our car was finally ready!

Jun 27, 2019Abby was helpful and friendly and offered anything we asked. The place was fantastic, new and clean. It offered all the small touches for our use on the island. It was perfect for our family of 3. While the family lived above the unit, we rarely heard them.
Jun 27, 2019Very clean and a great set-up. Kitchen has everything you will need. No oven but there is a great porch with a barbecue. Open concept 2 rooms with beds on either side. A bed on the kitchen side and 2 beds on the bathroom side. Would work great for a family or two couples.

Jun 27, 2019We were 3 guests, and we all loved Abby's place. I highly recommend it. Lovely place, sparkling clean, very spacious (the pictures don't do it justice!). All the provided toiletries were organic products of high quality which truly exceeded our expectations! Beach gear was super handy as well! To sum it up - paradise in the hills!

Jun 27, 2019I recently stayed at Abby's beautiful home in Kona. It is an oasis. Calm, relaxing, peaceful and serene with a beautiful Lanai with Ocean views. Backyard so tranquil and peaceful with Banana Trees and beautiful professionally done landscape. And, the Koi Pond with beautiful fishes. Very spacious home in a great safe neighborhood. This is the best value for a house. Perfect in every way. location is 10 minutes drive to downtown, shopping, beaches, airport, costco, walmart, target and anything else you can think of. Abby has a beautiful dog name Honey. She is so adorable. I am glad she introduced me to her dog. I couldn't even hear her bark or anything. Very lovely dog. I would definitely recommend anyone traveling to Kona to stay at Abby's place in order to truly experience the best hospitality in Hawaii. Mahalo Abby!
Jun 27, 2019Abby's place has everything you could expect for a Airbnb place. It is in quite neighbor but less than 30 min away from Kona downtown, airport, Costco and quite a lot of famous beaches. There is a gas grill in lanai, bunch of board games, boogie boards and beach chairs. If any supplies are short, just message Abby, she will quietly come down from upstairs and leave new ones in front of your door step. I always thought renting guesthouses sitting near from their owner is not a good idea, but Abby's place changed my point of view. The place is perfectly balanced with privacy, convenience and safety. The best of this place is its size! It's huge and you will really appreciate it. In short, it would be a ideal Airbnb stay for most of the occasions.

Jun 27, 2019Abby’s home is new, clean, extremely spacious and is in a great location to explore the west side of the island. Their garden is beautiful (they landscaped it themselves!) and there’s an ocean view. It felt homey staying in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!
