Great place, quite and peaceful.
Jun 27, 2019Maria is a wonderful host, friendly and super accommodating. Communication was a breeze and she’s quick respond always. The place was clean and comfortable, and Maria provided those extra little thoughtful touches that made my stay extra welcoming. The location is central and convenient. Only downside is that I wish I had more time to just sit and chat with Maria!

Jun 27, 2019Maria was very sweet and Christian was knowledgeable and gave great suggestions for places to go. It’s in a great central location where you can easily make it to where you want to go in a short drive. They were flexible with the checkin and checkout which we greatly appreciated. Would recommend and stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Accommodations worked for our 6-night stay! We spent a lot of time away from the house during the day, and parking was never an issue when we returned. We had nice hot showers and cold AC.

Jun 27, 2019May be worth paying a bit more if you can find another place in the area with whole house AC and a private bathroom but if those things aren't important to you this was a great value in a very walkable area.

Jun 27, 2019Our stay at Maria’s place was fine, very quiet and peaceful place to sleep. The room is confortable and the A/C works fine. If you don’t see any problem sharing a bathroom and a kitchen and you are looking for a cheap place to stay, you are at the good place. There was a parking space for our car in the driveway. Her son knows the place very well and he gaves us good advices on the place to visit.

Jun 27, 2019At Maria's you can expect a very clean home but a very small room. Window in the room doesn't open it does have an AC but still feels very claustrophobic.
Jun 27, 2019Maria’s place was perfect for us. We really wanted to stay in Hawaii and feel like a local and her place made it possible. She was so sweet, always taking care of us and making sure we had everything we needed. I would go back for sure! Thank you so much Maria!
Jun 27, 2019We had a good stay at Maria's place. It is not a swanky place but the dollar value is definitely good. The location in Kihei is close to everything from shopping area to the beach. The place is also just as advertised. The room is actually very small, but there was AC in the room and clean sheets. The check in process is smooth. We stayed outside most of the time so we only came back to sleep. The only issue is that from the website it says Maria is the only tenant but I think there's another tenant here as well. There is only one bathroom for the entire house, so if not arranged well, using the bathroom could be a bit of a traffic. Overall, if you are looking for cheap place to spend the night in Kihei, this is acceptable value overall.

Jun 27, 2019Maria's place was great! Extremely convenient location and good neighborhood. Walking distance to beach and lots of restaurants. Maria was very hospitable and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The room is small so it could get a bit crowded and there is only one shared bathroom in the house so sometimes had to wait for a shower. All in all it was a very good experience at her house!
Jun 27, 2019Although very basic, Maria provided everything we needed to enjoy our three days in the Kihei area. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the room very clean on arrival. Check-in is super easy and flexible as Maria provided the combo to a key lock box. The location was perfect for what we needed - supermarket within walking, easy access to beaches and decent restaurants nearby. If you are looking for basic accommodation in the Kihei area, you cannot go wrong here.

Jun 27, 2019Very convenient location - just 20 minutes away from the airport, and not too far from Lahaina or Mt Haleakala. The house is very simple, room is very small but very clean. The bed and pillow are very comfortable and smells like freshly done laundry. There is an AC in the room too which is much appreciated and needed. Maria and her son both live in the house but they’re not home for the most part, but you will be sharing the bathroom with them. Even though the house is clean but it is on a tropical island, so expect some bugs. Check-in and out was super fast and straight forward, and Maria is very responsive. Her and her son also gave great recommendations! Overall if you’re on a budget and will be out exploring the island all day, and just need a clean room and bathroom, I would recommend Maria’s place.

Jun 27, 2019Maria and her son are super welcoming! Place is exactly as described. Great location in Kihei (not right in the centre of all the tourist activity which is just how we like it). Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in Maui again. Thanks again Maria!!

Jun 27, 2019Maria gives you the space you need and it is clean and they are respectful. Please keep in mind the guest bed may have fleas, it was uncomfortable. Other than that I had a wonderful stay.
Jun 27, 2019The place was as described and in a great location to explore Maui. it's a comfortable place to sleep and shower. It's obviously not going to have the top end amenities that others might have but it also is much more affordable. Maria was not around very much as she was working a lot but she communicated well. I recommend the place to anyone looking for an affordable place to rest and clean up in Maui.

Jun 27, 2019Maria’s home is humble and simple. She takes very meticulous care of her home and is so kind and gracious. The house and rooms are very tidy and clean at all times. Her family is very quiet, considerate, and welcoming. Nothing fancy to find here, but so much more if you prefer a local and personal touch. Would stay here again any time!

Jun 27, 2019I'm going to try to be as honest and objective as possible. While Maria was a gracious and welcoming host, her son was not. He made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable and seemed hostile in one situation. He obviously did not want us there and we ended up cutting our stay short (leaving before the midway point of our trip). Whatever you do, DO NOT GO in the backyard.

Jun 27, 2019Maria’s place is at great location, nearby food trucks and supermarket and coffee shop. It’s also close to beaches and the airport. She is very responsive and you get all the needed amenities such as clean towels (both bath and beach towels) and soap/shampoo/conditioner. I got to see her at night and early in the morning and she always greeted us with warm smiles.
