We'll pick you up in Taksim and bring you to the apartment in Osmanbey (just one metro stop) which is 110 square meters with a huge terrace and living room. T The Master Bedroom has a comfy queen size bed and new soft sheets. Kids room - bunk beds with futon style mattresses, toys, Legos, games and books if you are travelling with children. The sofa also opens to accommodate one more person. Two 'akbill' travel cards are provided for your use during your stay. Free wireless internet. Washing machine/drying rack and laundry soap. Fully equipped kitchen: gas stove, oven, pots & pans, French press, kettle, toaster, plates, glasses and cutlery, olive oil and spices. Fresh mint, basil, rosemary and oregano growing on the terrace (seasonal). Herbal teas and coffee provided as well as a complimentary bottle of Turkish wine. City guide books and maps provided. Neighborhood Overview
Osmanbey is very central, located between Taksim and Sisli with many restaurants, cafes and bakeries and is one of the main shopping districts of Istanbul. Enjoy the organic market on Saturdays, the flea market on Sundays and the regular fresh fruit and vegetable market every Monday and Thursday. Macka Park is just a ten-minute walk away as well as Nisantasi with its upscale shops and restaurants. Lutfi Kidar - Istanbul Conference Center and American Hospital are also only ten minutes from our front door. Taksim can be reached by foot in 20 minutes. The main tourist sites are easily reached by taking one bus to Eminonu.

April ist eine sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Die Wohnung ist ideal für eine Familie mit Kindern. Unsere Kinder sind 4+1 Jahr und haben sich dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Terrasse ist das Highlight, wir haben sehr schöne Abende dort verbracht. Die Wohnung liegt sehr Zentral, Metro & Bus ca. 300m, Geschäfte ca. 100m.
Jun 27, 2019April is the perfect host, and her flat is the perfect flat for a holiday in Istanbul. Beautiful rooms, beautiful terrace, great kitchen with all you'll need for a little home cooking, tons of maps and guides waiting for you on the living room table. This has been my best AirBnB experience so far, no contest! You cannot find a better home away from home in this amazing city!
Jun 27, 2019We loved staying in April's lovely, spacious home! She made us feel very welcome and was on hand with lots of advice and useful tips about the local area. Having the terrace was such a bonus and we spent many hours out there when not exploring the city. The central location was perfect, making it easy to get just about anywhere that we wanted to go. Overall, an A+ Airbnb experience. Thanks April, and we'll see you next time we are in town.
Jun 27, 2019We had a very enjoyable stay at April's apartment. It was clean and spacious and the pictures reflect the reality. She had plenty of guidebooks and maps of Istanbul which were very useful. The neighbourhood is safe and very easy access to busses and the underground.
Jun 27, 2019We have just come back from Istanbul where we had a fabulous time. Such a wonderful time was largely due to the kindness and good will of April Chapple and her husband Ufuk. They helped us to find transport from the airport, met us at the end of the bus journey from the airport, organized transport cards which were brilliant and booked us a taxi to go to the airport at the end of our journey. Their flat is situated in a good, genuine area where we felt safe and from where we found easy and quick transport. The flat itself is very clean, comfortable and artistically decorated. I was a bit worried when I saw that the flat was on the 4th floor, but this was not a problem for us at all. At the end of our stay we all felt rested, fit and happy! I highly recommend this lovely place.
Jun 27, 2019April's apartment is just as pictured if not better. It felt as a home away from home; even the pantry was filled with food for us to use. April's husband was gracious and helpful. The apartment is clean, functional, cozy and very convenient to the Metro station, bakeries, cafés, local restaurants and the fabulous Bomonti organic farmers market on Saturdays where we had the freshest fruits and snacked on Local Turkish delicacies, all washed down with tea. On Sunday the Bomonti flea market made for a wonderful shopping experience and some unique souvenir to take back home. The terrace was without a doubt our favorite place for breakfasts and dinners, while our girls thought the kids bedroom was the best thing about Istanbul! :) Thank you April and Ufuk for opening your home to us and for your help in making our stay a memorable one.
Jun 27, 2019We really liked it very much to stay at April's flat. The flat is a perfect place also for a longer stay in Istanbul. It is located in a central but silent little street in Sisli. It is very large, spacious and cozily furnitured. If you like to cook on your own you find everything you need in the kitchen. We loved to sit on the roof-terrace in the early morning and in the evening, especially on the very hot days in August. We did not meet April personally because she were on a journey, but everything was prepared just perfectly and welcomingly. April's husband allowed us in and introduced us very friendly to everything which was necessary. The house is an older one and for this it has some little patina. But we didn't miss anything and we were perfectly satisfied. The flat is nicely decorated, you can really relax after an exhausting day in the city. I can really recommend April's place, also for a little family.
Jun 27, 2019We have just arrived in London. In the last two weeks, we felt in April's flat like "Home away Home". Specially our two boys enjoyed in the kid's room with lots of toys that much that they didn't want to go out. On our arrival in Istanbul, April and her husband with their son Devrim waited for us in the bus station. We will never forget the warmest welcome we have received from them. They organised our travel card, and accompanied us to the apartment. They provided us with all the information, so that we could enjoy our trips to Istanbul. The house was in excellent condition, nice and clean, exactly (even more than accurately) in the pictures and descriptions. She looked after us all the time. We got everything that we needed. Even she was so kind with our very late check out time, let our kids to have rest until 22:00pm though the checkout time was 12:00pm. We just can say our staying in April's house will be always an unforgettable experience in the memory. If we go to Istanbul again in the future, definitely we will choose her house again. As a host, she is highly recommendable. Specially someone/couple with kids should not look further, just choose her house straight way. In German: April ist eine unvergleichbare Gastgeberin, sehr emfehlenswert besonders fuer familie mit kindern. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Jun 27, 2019April was incredibly nice, friendly and dedicated. She welcomed my parents, my sister and I as we were old friends and we felt at ease very quickly. Furthermore, she was available and answered quickly when we send a message to her. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very convenient, perfect for a four persons family ! April terrace is just the best place in Istanbul, sooo cosy ! Finally, the apartment is located next to Osmanbey station, which is very convenient ! I highly recommend this apartment for those who have the chance to travel to Istanbul !
Jun 27, 2019What a cosy and quiet apartment! We felt at home immediately. The numerous travel guides on the table helped us to plan our days in Istanbul. And April's 'welcome-wine' helped us relax after a full day of sight seeing.
Jun 27, 2019This was an amazing stay. April is the most helpful host, she met us at bus stop, guided to her home, and even provided with two Istanbulcards for public transport. She and her son Devrim are just great. Apartment is very close to Osmanbey metro station. It looks totally like shown on pictures. It has everything you may need and even more. Kitchen tongs? - yep! A screwdriver? - here it is! Adorable kids room, full of toys, is a lifesaver. Our toddler loved it. I appreciated it most, when we overslept and I had only one hour to pack, and really needed that kid to be busy :) Neighborhood is great. Clean and comfortable, with lots of places to eat and shop. Far enough from tourist catwalks, but they're still easy reachable by foot. Our favorite spot was the War Museum, within a five-minute-walk from apartment. Biggest collection of weapons and arms in a historical building, and hardly any visitors, so you can enjoy it all for yourself. I should mention that there is no elevator in the building, but it may only be a problem for elderly or handicapped people. We got stroller and toddler up and down with no effort.

Great location, amazing equipment in the kitchen, good heating and hot water in the winter (which was truly precious given the weather conditions during our stay) and cosy atmosphere. Once again, the perfect choice for Istanbul!
Jun 27, 2019We had a lovely stay at April's home! The apartment was quiet and comfortable and a super place to come back to after a day of exploring the city. April is a thoughtful and kind host. She was wonderful with communication and she left information and lots of resources about Istanbul that helped us. We arrived while she was away and she arranged for a friend to meet us and guide us to the apt on our arrival . The neighbourhood is close to access all city sights by metro ( maybe a two minute walk away) but far enough to be outside of tourist areas which was great. Small grocery is minutes away, lots of cafés nearby as well. April's son had left some toys and books out which was really appreciated by our two kids! Recommended stay !
Jun 27, 2019The apartment was roomy and well equipped. We had some difficulties in getting connected with April when we arrived as we had not made arrangements to have cell service. April's family was gracious and came and got us in the rain. The location was great once we got our bearing and public transportation was pretty easy. April had left us snacks and coffee. My granddaughter loved the children's room. We would defiantly recommend this apartment to anyone.

Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful, wonderful time is Istanbul, and April and Ufuk's apartment certainly played a part in it. Ufuk was kind enough to welcome us in Taksim Square as soon as we got off the airport shuttle, and to take us to the apartment with his own metro card, which he left for us to reload and use throughout the week. The apartment is ideally located, with a supermarket just a the corner of the street, and less than 3 minutes from Osmanbey metro station. April and Ufuk left us a nice bottle of red wine, and plenty of extras : we had coffee, juice, etc... The apartment is absolutely lovely (I just love the square frame in the bathroom), decorated with charm and great taste. The beds are extremely compfortable, the four of us slept like babies. And my youngest son certainly enjoyed Devrim's toys! We would definitely recommend this charming place to anyone travelling to Istanbul.
Jun 27, 2019We have been welcomed by Ufuk, April's husband, who came to pick us up at the suttle station, and drove us in taxi until the flat. It was so nice from him. We also had the pleasure to drink a good bottle of wine offered by April, a very nice attention ! The flat is really nice and big. The main room is very comfortable. We were 4 people, so 2 of us slept in the kids' room, where the bed are actually not so much comfortable but it was ok. The convertible sofa in the living room is actually not for 2 persons. The only problem we had was the bathroom : very very low pressure (complicated to wash your hair when you are a girl with long hair !) and sometimes some bad smells (but if you keep the window open it is ok). Other than that, we really enjoyed the terrace, which is huge and very nice for a drink outside at night. The flat is located quite at the north, with the Osmanbey metro really close by. It is out of the touristic spots, wich is quite nice when you want to discover something else. We didnt really find places to eat or have a drink in the neighbordhood; but we didnt search so much (i am sure there are some). We really felt good in the flat. Thank you again April !

Jun 27, 2019Das Appartment hat uns alles geboten, was wir als Familie brauchten: Die Kinder konnten spielen, es war genügend Platz für eine Familie und alles vorhanden was wir brauchten. Wir wurden sogar mit einer Flasche Wein und Saft begrüßt. Die Schlüsselübergabe funktionierte problemlos, alles war wunderbar! Zudem liegt die Wohnung otimal für die Erkundung Istanbuls und zugleich ruhig, dadurch, dass sie in einer Nebenstrasse ist. Vielen Dank für alles alles!
