We were really happy with Alex's apartment, it was very clean and apart from a hairdryer and iron, it had everything we needed. Alex did offer to reimburse me if I bought a hairdryer but as the apartment was warm, wet hair dried fairly fast on it's own! Regarding the location, the area was nice and felt safe to walk at night. Theaters are very close by, as are many restaurants and convenience shops. Time Square is about a 10 min walk. Alex was a helpful host and was always extremely responsive to questions asked both before and during our stay. Although he was away the weekend we stayed, the key collection was straight forward and I felt I could contact him at any time. He also left some restaurant recommendations which made our first night quite easy and it was tasty. I would definitely recommend Alex's apartment as a great place for staying in NY.
Jun 27, 2019Great experience at Alex's place. It was very much as advertised. I loved that it was close by to all the action yet far enough away from the crowds. The comfort of the bed was important to me having done so much flying..... it was first rate. Its obvious that Alex cares for his space and wants those who stay there to enjoy it also. I would stay here again without hesitation Matt

Jun 27, 2019Alex's apartment was in a great spot with short walking distance taking you to many restaurants, bars and Times Square. The street was quite and seemed safe. Safe enough that I would walk home most nights. The apartment has everything you might need. It was clean and comfortable. I would recommend anyone stay at Alex's apartment.
Jun 27, 2019We stayed in Alex's apt for 10 days and had an amazing time! We felt like we were coming home at the end of each day. The home is clean, very quiet and very comfortable. Having AC was a plus as it got hot and muggy in the middle of August. The neighborhood is awesome, we loved all the nearby restaurants (especially Anejo) and the bars (especially The Pony Bar and On The Rocks). There are a couple deli/convenience stores that stay open 24 hours very close by as well. We felt very safe walking home, often in the middle of the night. It's nice having doormen in the building as well. Times Square is a short 10 min walk. The subway stations are the same. Alex was very communicative and available for any questions. We appreciated his recommendations and he made us feel welcomed. Would recommend Alex's apt highly! Wish we were still there!
Jun 27, 2019We didn't meet Alex but communicating with him was easy, he responded immediately before our stay and sent text messages every couple of days to check all was well. Collecting the keys from the doorman worked perfectly and Alex had left useful information in the flat. The area is busy and there is a lot of construction work going on but the building itself is lovely, doormen are always there so it is safe and secure. We were never disturbed by noise from outside or inside the apartment, it is moments away from the hustle and bustle of 10th Avenue but it was very peaceful once inside the building. The apartment is lovely too, very spacious well furnished and equipped- it was just like home which was wonderful when returning from a busy sightseeing day! The location is great, not pretty exactly but so interesting and safe, near to many restaurants and bars and only 10 minutes away from subways. Some places we enjoyed are: Bubby's at the Meatpacking end of the High Line, The Jolly Monk ( a Belgian Bar and Grill) on the corner of 47th and 9th, Times Square Diner (great for breakfast- they will swap potatoes for a bowl of berries!) it's not actually on Times Square, it's between 48th and 49th on 8th Ave. We had a wonderful stay in Alex's delightful apartment, the photos and description don't fully do it justice, we would definitely stay again if he'd have us!
Jun 27, 2019We could not have picked a better place to stay on our first visit to New York. Alex was a fantastic host and was very easy to contact. The apartment looks exactly as pictured. It is clean, spacious, comfortable, and very convenient to subway lines and Times Square. We would definitely stay here again!

Jun 27, 2019We had an amazing stay at Alex's. He communicated w/us via email, text & telephone, fast responses and super nice! We didn't get to meet him, but the doorman gave us a key. 5th floor apartment, looked exactly like the pictures. It was very comfortable, clean and homey. The queen size bed was comfortable and bathroom shower was awesome, super hot water, great water pressure (that's important to me lol) the doormen were very polite. It was a safe area. About 11 minutes away from time square (walking) and we hopped on the trains for everything! (I suggest getting an unlimited train and bus pass for however long you're in the city.) Some great restaurants we really enjoyed in the area were pio pio (Spanish food), becco (Italian) & a small deli called skyline gourmet deli. Overall great place, safe area, close to everything and great communication with Alex.
Jun 27, 2019I have used airbnb numerous times and this was the best experience, by far. Al was the greatest host, calling to make sure all was well, etc and my only disappointment was not meeting him personally. Picking up the key was a breeze and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Apartment is much bigger then pictured and I appreciated the coffee maker and toaster for breakfast. Can*t say enough good things.

Jun 27, 2019Al is an amazing host who answers all questions immediately. The apartment could not be any better. Its clean, beautiful, huge for two persons, and features everything you need - maybe even more. Full kitchen, super bathroom, nice TV set, fast Internet, cozy bed, A/C and so much more. All administrative stuff worked perfectly smooth (key from doorman, etc.) and the location is even better than expected. We walked in about 10-15 mins. to the subway, 20 mins. to Times Square, 10-15 mins. to Intrepid, and even locations as Central Park or High Line and Chelsea Market are possible walking distances if you are a little used to moving your legs. Alternatively, you can always get a fast connection to all major spots via subway. We will definitely come back and book with Al's if possible. Thanks a lot Al!!

Jun 27, 2019Al could not have been a better host - he met me for the key handover ceremony and left a welcome pack in the apartment that provided helpful information about the apartment and the area. The apartment itself was as described and was clean, airy, comfortable and well equipped - it really was a home away from home. The location was superb, I've visited NYC many times but hadn't explored Hell's Kitchen much and so this gave me the perfect opportunity - I found the area quiet, safe and convenient. There are so many great bars and restaurants within walking distance and you're only about 10 minutes' walk to the Theatre District and Times Square - very handy! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Al's apartment is exremely spacious for NYC, what you get is exactly as shown in the pictures. Al provided us with all the information we needed and would always reply to messages quickly. Getting access to the property was simple and Al had everything sorted for us when we arrived including fresh towels, toiletries and landry cards. The apartment is in a fantastic location! You can literally walk to times square and the rockerfeller centre in 10mins. If you want (as we did) you can also easily walk to Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Central Park, etc. We only used the metro to go either up or downtown or across to another borough. Great location for people looking to get a real feel for New York, close enough to be part of the action. But also far enough away from tourist central to make it much more enjoyable.

Very responsive with any questions we had while booking etc. Was my first time using Air B and B but won't be my last based on this experience. Thanks again for everything Al.

Jun 27, 2019Great place in Hell's Kitchen! Spacious and clean apartment, safe neighborhood, walking distance to many restaurants. 10 min walk to Times Square and other tourist attractions. Al was easy to work with, great communication and easy pick up/drop off key transfer.

Jun 27, 2019What a lovely apartment; just what me and my girlfriend needed for our 10 day stay in Manhattan! The apartment is brilliant with lots of space, a very comfy living space with a great big TV, good AC, great water temperature/pressure in the bathroom and quite a big kitchen space (which helped us save some money as we had breakfasts in most mornings and dinner in once or twice). The local area (Hell's Kitchen) was great; only 2 blocks from the Hudson River which provided us with a lovely summer walk down past all the piers; a short walk from Midtown; and close to lots of bars/cafes/delis. There is also a laundrette right on the corner which provided a drop-off service that we used one day. Al was very helpful and communicative; check-in and out was very simple and he had left us plenty of info on WiFi, local recommendations etc.

La communication avec al se fait par téléphone et il répond toujours rapidement.super semaine grace à cet appartement.merci al! La casa è esattamente come nelle foto: consiglio ad Al di mettere più immagini perché la sua casa è veramente molto bella ed accogliente. Jun 27, 2019Al’s place was perfect. The two of us that stayed there for the 8 nights couldn’t have complained about a thing. Al was amazing and very easy to communicate with. The apartment was very clean and tidy.. and the doormen to the apartment block added that element of security! Would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to come to NY. The location is so close to everything - close enough to be around the hustle and bustle of Times Square and also far enough away to have some time out! Everything in walking distance. Loved this place!!!!

Everything was exactly as advertised on Airbnb. Al’s response and communication was quick and check in and out was effortless. Don’t snooze on this one if you’re planning a trip to New York

With the 24/7 doorman the building was sure to be safe. Had awesome ten days and hoping to return sometime soon! We can highly recommend!
