Jun 27, 2019Nothing fancy but You get what you pay for here plus genuine hospitality near by the lava flows and unique dining experiences at Uncles Plus close to Hilo for tsunami museum and Waterfront Parks.
Jun 27, 2019If you‘re looking for a place to stay on a budget i‘d definitely recommend this place! It‘s a sweet little room which was very clean and had the most comfortable bed in it. There‘s a coffee machine, shampoo/ conditioner and even mosquito nets! Communication was very easy and fast, and we had really good WiFi! Just remember you‘re kind of in the rainforest so bring earplugs if needed cause you‘re gonna hear the crickets :)
Jun 27, 2019We spent one week in this very comfortable room and we recommend this host. Dani and her husband were very welcoming and made sure everything was ok. There is no kitchen but they lent us a cooler to keep drinks and some food fresh, and a fan as well. The room and the bathroom was very clean and the bed very comfortable. They have a daughter so sometimes she can make some noise because she's still a baby (one year and a half ), but Sofia is so cute, very friendly and sociable with guests. We had a cute hug from her when we left. For sure it is a very good place to stay in Pahoa for a very cheap price :)
Jun 27, 2019We were pleased with this comfortable and clean room with private bathroom and separate entrance! We had everything that was necessary even coffee-maker and cups! We also got extra warm welcome from the lovely dog :) We would recommend this place to everybody. Thanks again!!!

Jun 27, 2019Caio really extended much Aloha!! I arrived late and she made the late checkin easy and that was so pleasing. For a nomadic traveler , the accommodations were perfect for me and any person that wants a cozy place to rest, shower, have a cup of coffee and get outside and see the Island!! Wonderful location !! Mahalo !!
Jun 27, 2019Great place to stay for such a low price. We were about a half hour away from Hilo, but close to the town we wanted to stay in, making it easy to grab dinners and do other fun things!

Jun 27, 2019Quiet and Isolated area with easy access by road. The room is affordable and convenient. One must expect early wake up due to the light and the presence of 2 leached dogs in the front porch.

Jun 27, 2019The place is just like in the pictures and wery clean. It's a bargain if you want to explore the vulcano and the black beaches. Pahoa is very close too. Don't be afraid of the dogs. Just open the gate and go to your room in the bag of the building. You have your own intrance. The owner is friendly too. :-)

Jun 27, 2019A great place if you want to visit both the East and South side of the Island. The host was very friendly. FYI there were two dogs; I didn't have any issues for me. Overall it was a great stay.

Jun 27, 2019If you’re a light sleeper you will lack some sleep. The wall is shared with the main house with a closed connecting door and a child who sleeps past 10 pm ( you can hear every conversation through the door/wall). A neighboring rooster wakes you up around 4-5 am. You get what you pay for and for the price the place is good. Danielle was quick with response and a great host.
Jun 27, 2019The Rocha family was wonderful and the for the price the space was great as well. Short drive to Hilo and other amenities. Neighbours were pretty noisy (especially the roosters) just make sure to bring ear plugs and it won't be a problem.
