This nice bright apartment is located in the modernist district "Eixample " near the most famous building of Antonio Gaudi: the Sagrada Familia and 5 minutes walking from Paseo Sant Joan and 15 min. from Paseo de Gracia, well known for his luxury stores. Located in a residential building, the apartment consists of two large bedrooms with double beds, one extra bed room with a sofa bed, a bathroom with shower and WC, a separate WC, a kitchen and a bright living room faced to the typical courtyard of Eixample, with a balcony along the flat. It is in the 2d floor with lift. We keep trying to be as much as possible “eco friendly”, so please help us to take care of the environment.

Open window means no air condition switched on ;-) Because we respect our neighbors, no parties are allowed and we expect a responsible behavior especially on arrival and departure, lift use, staircase and public areas. Just the reserved number of people is allowed to sleep in flat.

Appartement conforme aux photos, situé dans un quartier calme et proche de tous les sites touristiques (Sagrada familia, Ramblas, etc...). Station de metro à 5 min à pied. Magui a été ponctuelle et très aimable. Appartement à recommander !!!! ;)
Jun 27, 2019Une arrivée un peu tardive, mais nous étions attendus. Karen a été parfaite et d'une grande patience avec ses explications. Le logement correspond bien aux photographies, avec une petite odeur de peinture en plus... il vient d'être refait et c'est parfait. Avant d'aller dîner dans le quartier gothique, un verre de vin rouge car les courses commandées étaient livrées... et une bonne douche bien chaude... encore parfait. Dans les chambres, des lits confortables, une literie neuve. Rien à dire que ce n'est que la couette de ma chambre a du disparaître avant notre arrivée. Mais il faisait chaud. Quand à l'aménagement de la cuisine, il manque un peu de petite vaisselle (des bols pour manger les céréales du matin...) et quelques bricoles toutes simples (quelques pastilles pour la lave vaisselle, un peu de sel et de poivre, du vinaigre - Tout cela n'a pas grande importance. Tout y était. Nous étions 4 - et c'était parfait. L'emplacement est central. L'appartement au second étage - avec ascenseur - donne sur l'arrière avec un petit balcon. Pas de bruit la nuit, nous avons peu laisser les portes fenêtres ouvertes. La couleur blanche des murs se marrie bien avec les gris des faïences murales. Les plafonds sont magnifiques. L'aménagement du salon, dans sa simplicité est confortable et convivial. Il donne sur un petit balcon ou il fait bon prendre l'air. Merci pour avoir contribué à rendre notre séjour à Barcelone agréable avec un havre de repos bien mérité après des journées bien remplies. Si vous aimez la netteté, la simplicité de très bon goût, je vous recommande cet appartement.
Jun 27, 2019Beside the host coming 1 hour later for the checkin everything was great at the apartment. It was a really nice apartment, which had everything, and okay location, we nearby Metro stations.
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed this aparts. Great location- close to metro stations, 25 min to Gothic district, 10 min. to Sagrada. Aparts are new, with stylish design and full equipment. Eberhard and Aurelie are helpful and friendly hosts.
Jun 27, 2019We had a nice week in Barcelona here. The apartment is spacious and well kept, clean on arrival, with a complete kitchen, washing machine, 2 bedrooms + room with sofa bed, WC, bathroom (with additional WC) and living room with TV. One bedroom and the living room have more light from large windows which open out to a small balcony. We slept in that bedroom and the bed is comfortable. The location is adequate: if fit, one can walk to/from the main areas (Passeig de Gracía or Placa Catalunya are 15-20 minutes), if not, metro stations are all about 10 minutes away or bus 5 minutes (on Gran Via). Unfortunately in our week Eberhard & Aurelie were not in town so we did not meet them. A colleague handled check in/out professionally but we missed a bit the expected "personal stay" feeling of using AirBnB.
Jun 27, 2019Eberhard & Aurelie are very nice hosts. The apartment is very spatial and clean with nice design (especially the traditional ceiling). The location is also very convenient to traveller which you can reach Sagrada Família within 10mins walk and very easy to get any place in Barcelona with Metro. Internet, TV, Coffee Machine...everything worked very well and I had a great time during my stay. I would like to recommend this flat to everyone who is planning to stay in Barcelona for holiday.
Jun 27, 2019Margui greeted me upon arrival and was really friendly, welcoming and flexible. She provided some information on the beaches and where to rent a bike. The flat is clean, elegant, well designed, comforting and a calm oasis in the middle of the city. Everything in the pictures is accurately depicted. The whole place is fully renovated with interesting lighting details. The bathrooms are immaculate. The architectural ceilings and exposed brick wall really bring an Architectural Digest feel to the place. The French door spill wonderful light into the apartment filling it with natural sunlight all day. The air conditioning does a great job of keeping up with the heat. All the appliances worked well. It's a great place to stay and when I return to BCN, I most definitely will check here first.

Jun 27, 2019Whilst I have only used accommodation from Airbnb etc. a few times, this was easily the best. The apartment was better than described, probably newly refurbished, well decorated, with a good kitchen and bathrooms. Communication with our host was timely and supportive. (As a example of kindness the housekeeper stayed with us until our taxi arrived to take us to the airport. My Spanish is minimal and she would have phoned the taxi company on our behalf if the ordered taxi had not arrived as required.) Firstly Barcelona is a great city for tourists. This particular area has a number of good restaurants and any number of cafes and shops including excellent bakeries. Think friendly Parisian restaurants and boulangeries and that about sums it up. Secondly the apartment is close to a few must see architectural goodies and two useful underground lines. Thirdly residents in the apartment block are friendly and courteous, though so was everyone in Barcelona.

Jun 27, 2019Wir haben die Wohnung für 7 Tage zu viert gemietet. In der Wohung ist alles vorhanden und sauber sowie schön möbliert. In den Zimmern ist ausreichend Ablagefläche vorhanden. Das eine Zimmer ist sehr lichtdurchflutet und hat einen Zugang zu einem langen Balkon. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist weniger lichtdurchflutet und keinen Balkon. In der Küche ist alles nötige in greifbarer Nähe. Die Lage ist ca. 30 min vom Strand entfernt. Wir empfehlen deshalb Fahrräder zu mieten, womit sich der Weg runter zum Strand auf ca. 15 Min verkürzt. Mit dem Taxi runter bzw, hoch zufahren kostet um die 8Euro, was wirklich akzeptabel ist. Die Wege sind sehr Fahrradfreundlich. Man kommt schnell von A nach B und es macht wirklich Spass die Stadt mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden. Deshalb unbedingt Fahrräder mieten. Wir würden die Wohnung wieder mieten. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett. Barcelona ist eine wunderschöne Stadt !
Jun 27, 2019Nous avons reçu des informations très précises sur l’appartement et nous avons été très gentiment accueillis par Aurélie. Je recommande vivement l’appartement qui est très bien situé à quelques minutes de la « Segrada Familia ». Un petit supermarché situé juste à côté nous a fait gagner un temps fou. L’appartement est calme, très lumineux, élégant et aménagé avec gout. Il est très propre et récemment rénové. Une mention spéciale pour la literie et les oreillers très confortables. Une expérience à renouveler !

Jun 27, 2019We were greeted by Magui, who was really friendly and helpful, and allowed us to check in 30mins early straight from the airport. We chose this area as we were already familiar with it, lots of great cafes nearby and easy to walk into the centre, as well as being close to a few metro stations. The flat was clean and spacious and was just as great in real life as it was in the listing, if not better! Everything worked perfectly - good aircon, great shower etc. Would definitely stay here again!
Jul 27, 2019I was travelling with my mother at the time. We did not meet Eberhard or Aurelie in Barcelona. Instead, they had someone to welcome us at the apartment, her name was Magui. The size of the apartment is larger than that shown on the pictures. I must have misread the description of the apartment as I came to know that there was only one SMALL bathroom with a shower, and the other was just a lavatory. The kitchen was not equipped with basic beverages such as tea and coffee, but it was indeed clean. The closest mode of transport was bus, and the Tetuan metro station. Sagrada Familia is at walking distance! There are some eateries around the area, and a primary school behind the apartment. Overall, worth the price is you are travelling in a group :)
Jun 27, 2019Having arrived at the flat, Magui had already waited for us, we were introduced friendly and welcoming. She showed us the apartment and told us anything to be aware of. The beds were already made and the flat was clean. Actually, everything was set up as it had been described previously. During our stay,the apartment was left to us as it was our own. Nevertheless, Eberhard suggested some interesting places to visit and worth going to. The check out went really quick and without any complications. We have really enjoyed the stay and recommend it to anyone! Barcelona is a beautiful city!
Jun 27, 2019The host made us feel very welcome. Contact prior to our visit was excellent and very helpful. We were able to arrange a family member to pick up keys early and we checked out late too. The flat is immaculate, very clean and exactly as pictured. There were a few helpful extras like cold bottled water in the fridge and plenty of dishwasher tablets which really helped. Communal stairwell was clean and lift made the walk to the 2nd floor acceptable. Next to a well stocked supermarket and about 10 minute to two different metro stops. Would really recommend staying there if you are looking for a quiet and convenient flat for a break to an amazing city.

Jun 27, 2019Très décevant ! Quand la location d'appartement devient uniquement un business sans aucune proximité avec les hôtes. Notre séjour a été gâché par des problèmes électriques (les plombs sautaient toutes les 5 minutes). Difficile donc de vivre dans l'appartement : cuisiner, mettre la climatisation ou tout simplement avoir de la lumière le soir. Une personne assurait la "relation client" mais ne pouvait rien faire pour ce problème. Après échanges avec les propriétaires, ces derniers nous ont dit qu'ils viendraient lors du check out... On les attend toujours... Les clients passent, le business tourne!
Jun 27, 2019The Elegant Flat was perfect for two adults and two teenage sons (17 & 18). The day we arrived, our flight was delayed and the BCN arrival terminal's wifi wasn't working. We finally managed to get in touch with Magui who patiently guided us through the flat and the city maps. The flat was as pictured and Eberhard and Aurelie were great to work with and always quick to respond to any questions. The electricity went out only on our last day but we quickly resolved the problem as Magui had explained to us. We figure that the flat did not want to let us go! We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the neighborhood was and were glad to come home to a clean and roomy flat. We loved the comfort of the foam beds and pillows after a long day of sightseeing! The shower had good pressure and hot water for all of us. The washing machine came in handy, but remember to use the short cycle! It was nice to have dishwashing and washing machine soap already provided. Barcelona had so much to offer: museums, great food and coffee, churches, Gothic architecture, markets, clean beaches, easy metro, and reasonable taxi fare. We took a day tour to Girona and Costa Brava and made our own way to Montserrat. We look forward to coming back to this beautiful city! Thanks for being great hosts!

The property was exactly as described: clean, nicely furnished and spacious. The building is located in a more residential area but is centrally located, just a few blocks away from the Sagrada Familia and in walking distance from a lot of other sights.

Jun 27, 2019Extremely clean and good value flat. Lots of space. Very professional - run like a hotel (in a good way). Close to many metro stops, but a bit of a walk from the Old City and Waterfront. Also quieter though which was appreciated. Loved that the terrace was a useable depth. Has everything you needed and then some. Thank you!
Jun 27, 2019A very pleasant flat, spotlessly-clean, well equipped and nicely decorated (probably recently). The apartment has good location, not far from central attractions or the public transport system with lots of local shops and cafe/bars though a short hop on the underground may be required to get to higher class restaurants. The flat was very quite and in a nice neighborhood, the entrance was nice with a reliable lift and lighting system. We did not take up the offer of a "welcome pack" but found the host and particularly the host's representative who greeted us very pleasant and helpful. No problems at all, a very pleasant stay. Jun 27, 2019The place is really nice and close to all the scenic spots in Barcelona most especially to the Sagrada. What is posted in the pictures is what you can see in person. Our host is very accomodating and he communicates with us properly. Too bad we only have a few days in Barcelona, but given a chance, i will live in this place again :)
Jun 27, 2019Th apartment was lovely, well spaced, lit, and clean with all amenities my family and I needed including tea! However, our stay was quite stressful. I filled out the arrival form prior to arriving provided by the hosts through email and requested a car that never came. As we were there for the holiday season and the first of the New Year, there was miscommunication with the cleaning services. The cleaning/concierge woman was the one that met us, gave us the keys, cleaned the apartment and such. She was late, there were no maps included, the apartment was dirty when we arrived in the afternoon so we had to leave for a few hours to give her time to clean. For the first night we did not have clean towels or bed sheets. There were not enough pillows. The hosts (we never met) and the concierge woman were very nice and tried to make the best out of the situation. I do believe the miscommunications could have been technological or a language barrier (Although I speak Spanish) however the apartment should not have been open for these dates if the holiday prevented an adequate stay.

Alles war so wie beschrieben, die Wohnung hat einen sehr schönen Charm und ist dezent und geschmackvoll möbliert. Da die Wohnung zum Innenhof liegt, ist sie ruhig und sonnig und man kann seinen Morgencafé auf der Terasse geniesen. Auch die Nachbarschaft ist sehr ruhig. Wir wurden, trotz Flugverspätung mitten in der Nacht willkommen geheißen.
Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed our stay at Eberhard & Aurelie's place! It looks exactly like the pictures - very clean, bright and spacious. We loved sitting on the terrace when the sun was shining. Arriving and departing was trouble free and we found the location really convenient for sightseeing and exploring. There were a couple of minor things that bothered us while we were there... The fitted sheets aren't the right size for the beds so they would pop off during the night and we would end up sleeping directly on the scratchy mattress. The kitchen doesn't have bowls so we ended up eating our cereal out of mugs. We booked and paid for 5 people to stay but on arrival the bed wasn't made up for the 5th person and we couldn't find enough bedding to fully make up his bed - he ended up using a couch cushion for a pillow. Other than those few points, it suited us well!

Situation idéale dans un quartier facile d'accès, très bien desservit en transport public, plein de bons restos pour se reposer après une journée a découvrir la ville. Très bonne literie.

Jun 27, 2019After four days at Eberhard & Aurélies apartment, I have only positive things to say, the location is perfect, It's close to Valguer and Sagrada familia metro, and It's close to cafe's and supermarket's. The apartment is clean, and It has a great balcony. I'm definitely booking this apartment again.
Jun 27, 2019The flat was exactly as pictured on the announce. It is situated at the third floor of a five floor condominium - it is big, bright and modern. There are two bedrooms with a double bed each and another room with a sofa which becomes a third bed - us five had enough room but the flat could be perfect also for six people. There are also two bathrooms, a big living room with a table, chairs and a sofa and a fully equipped kitchen. There is air condition, tv, wifi perfectly working and the host provided maps and useful informations about the area, which is very safe and well served by public transport and stores. The Sagrada Familia, Casa Battló and many other attractions are just few minutes away on foot. We were grated by a colleague of Eberhard and Aurélie who was very kind and helpful. We really recommend this flat and if we'll go back to Barcellona we definitely are going to stay at this place again!
Jun 27, 2019My wife and her parents stayed for four days and had a great experience. The apartment is walking distance to sagrada familia and tetuan metro is only minutes away to zip to any part of the city. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood, we never felt unsafe walking home late at night and its very close to a few restaurants that we walked to in the mornings for coffee. The building was pretty quiet for the most part, we didn't have any problems sleeping at night because of noise. Great place, would definitely stay again if we visit Barcelona again.

Jun 27, 2019I arrived a day late so I didn't have contact with the agent who meet the others to let them into the apartment. I would not describe the flat as Elegant but more like Modern. Sparse clean lines, updated kitchen and baths. The A/C worked great and the rooms were charming with balconies that opened for great light in the large bedroom and living area. The kitchen was equipped great and all of our needs were met. We loved the location. Great for walking. Great French bakery across the street with pastries and espresso two or more grocery and fruit stores within a block. Local restaurants nearby.

Jun 27, 2019Eberhard & Aurélie hebben er alles aan gedaan om onze reis naar het appartement zo goed mogelijk te laten verlopen. Ze hebben veel communicatie uitgestuurd met tips, een routebeschrijving, diverse luxe opties (gevulde koelkast, bagage ophalen en naar het vliegveld brengen op de laatste dag,...) en het appartement is precies zoals op de foto's. Alles is keurig verzorgd en het ontbreekt werkelijk aan niets. Bij aankomst waren we in de gelegenheid om vragen te stellen en kregen we een korte uitleg over de voorzieningen in de buurt. Wij raden dit appartement zeker aan en mochten wij Barcelona weer bezoeken, dan hopen we dat we hier weer terecht kunnen.

On top I must add that I have some very irregular scheduele and they could welcome us at late hours. Thank you!

Jul 27, 2019Out stay at Eberhard and Aurelie's flat was great. We were a 10 minute walk to the Sagrada Familia and the neighborhood was very safe and vibrant. The wifi in the flat was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts were very nice and the personal who met us when we checked in (Lizzi) was very nice and extremely informative. We will stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019This was the perfect place to stay during our trip to Barcelona! The location was great, walking distance to the metro and close to a lot of great cafes! Maggie was wonderful and met us for check in and check out. She was very helpful and provided suggestions for various things to do during our stay. I would highly recommend staying here!

Jun 27, 2019Excelente departamento... lo amamos... esta impecable, limpio y tiene todo lo necesario para pasar un tiempo inmejorable en Barcelona... luego de caminar todo el dias y noche...volver a este departamento es lo mejor. Tiene temperatura central, el agua caliente es perfecta, tele, luces, comodidad de camas... es tal cual las fotos. Eramos 3 chicas y si bien una de las habitaciones es interna ... todas todas son fabulosas. Solo falta Micro ondas.... por lo demas 100% recomendable!!!! sin duda alguna volveria a ese departamento... me quedaria a vivir ahi!!!!
Jun 27, 2019Appartement agréable conforme au descriptif. L'immeuble est au calme, et il y a tout plein de petits commerces juste à côté (boulangerie, boucherie, fruits et légumes, superette...). L'appart est à 10 minutes à pied de la sagrada familia, entouré de stations de métro qui sont à environ 10 minutes à pied maximum.

Jun 27, 2019Eberhard and Aurelie were great hosts. Communication prior to coming was easy. They answered every question we had prior and during our stay. They were able to accommodate us when getting in early. They also have their own concierge service that helps you with groceries, babysitting, portable wifi, transportation, etc. The flat is pretty centrally located with public transportation to help you get around or walk by foot. The kitchen is well equipped. The few things I had an issue with were the noise level daily with construction going on to the building, lack of a safe for passports and lack of extra towels. Of course there is a washer where you can wash your own, however, after a long day of touring, you usually don't have the time to do so and wait for another set of towels. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family
Jun 27, 2019Great place and within 10 minutes of walking distance to Sagrada Familia. Metro station is 10 minutes walk in either direction. The only down side was the air conditioning was not working properly and it can be unbearable in summer. The apartment was clean and nice.

Jun 27, 2019This place is pretty close to the prototypical perfect AirBnB. Spacious, clean, safe, bright, well-located, aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, new appliances, thoughtful lighting, and quiet. I was visiting with my wife and our 4 year old daughter (and my 70 year old mother for the first night. This was our third AirBnB in Spain this trip and it was exactly what we desired. Eberhard&Aurélie are architects and they certainly brought their professional understanding of space and light to the design of the unit. Everything is thoughtful and the lighting allowed us to create a calm, blissful home base. Great daylight during the day, too. The AC worked very well. We did not meet Eberhard&Aurélie as they were out of town but we did meet Jamie, their awesome property manager/host who let us in and showed us how the place works. Jamie was fantastic and a huge help; not only did he arrive exactly as planned but he arranged taxis for us to get back to the airport as well. This place was a great base to visit the Sagrada Familia but also awesome for walking through the Eixample area which is pretty coo; a great 20 minute walk not only passed a subway station but also landed us in the shopping district along Passeig de Gràcia. The neighbourhood around the apartment is quiet and residential but there are still lots of restaurants and bars nearby. This place is highly recommended. Thank you Eberhard&Aurélie for having us!
Jun 27, 2019Wifi doesn't work well, air conditioner is very bad - doesn't work properly. Our flight was delayed and Jaime charged us a very absurd price due to the small delay, also there is a very sketchy "new turist rule" that he also charged per person as soon as we got in the apartment that ended up being more than 60 euros. Our stay ended up getting extremely pricey and was not worth the money, since Jaime was also very rude as a host. He did an unappropriate comentary to me refering at my profile picture when we were getting to see the apartment. Also, the check-out was stated to be at 11:00am and I received a message from him on the day of the checkout at 9am that the check-out would be at 10:30am instead. We were rushing to shower and get our things packed when at 10:00am the woman that was signed up to clean the house entered without ringing the bell and we were covered in towels leaving the shower and it was a very unpleasant moment. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT/HOST.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is basic but very clean and large and quiet. It would suit a group of friends. We arrived early and the host agreed to meet us earlier than normal check in. He arrived exactly on time and was very friendly and helpful. It is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro and close to Sagrada Familia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved that there was an elevator to help with getting luggage up to the apartment and everything was simple but well acquainted and very true to the listing. Wonderful water pressure in the shower and loved having the wash machine (with detergent included :)). Jaime was wonderful - he met us early and explained everything in detail before leaving - he was just perfect. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay at the apartment which was clean and modern. There was the very useful washing machine, a/c and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment was also close to restaurants, shops and public transport. We were met by Jaime who was most helpful and ready with suggestions for great food tips for our stay. I would definitely stay again.
Jun 27, 2019It's a spacious apartment very close to the Sagrada Familia. Not super close to public transit/the center of Barcelona, so there wasn't much to do around there. On a nice day it was a nice walk to the Gothic quarter through Parc de la Ciutadella. Clean apartment with enough for basic cooking. There was a bit of noise from the inner courtyard (smaller room) at night as we had to sleep with the windows open (we didn't test out the A/C, but it was too warm in early November to sleep without the window open). Middle room (with the small pullout couch) is in an awkward place, given the glass-block window facing the shower. Would be pretty awkward to sleep there and have someone else showering (the glass blocks don't block much, to say the least).
Jun 27, 2019The apartment is very nice and clean and big enough to accomodate us (2 families with 4 adults and 3 babies). The area is quite but very well served (including supermarkets within 200 meters from the apartment) and walking distance to the Sagrada Familia. Absolutely recommended.

Jun 27, 2019Great stay! We booked the apartment a day before flying. The host's communication was brilliant & eased any last minute stresses. Apartment was great, ideal for myself, sister & mum with a bedroom each. Bathroom & separate WC, comfortable beds, kitchen with coffee maker, cooker, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine. Apartment was ideally situated for visiting Sagrada de Familia, & with easy acess to the Monumental Metro station to all the other city sights. The hosts kindly recommended a great cocktail & tapas bar - La Fianna - which made our stay even more enjoyable. Could not recommend enough. Thank you.

Jun 27, 2019The host was SUPER friendly and we really loved the space! It's a cool place for younger, modern people especially but everyone will like it because it's so neat and tidy. It's a really bright space with a lovely ceiling and awesome lights. Close to some interesting attractions and there's a supermarket just next to it which is quite handy. Would book again!
Jun 27, 2019This apartment is beautiful. Probably my favorite airbnb I have ever stayed in. The natural light is gorgeous and the location cannot be beat. We didn't want to leave and had a hard time saying goodbye; even our Barcelona friends that saw the place said, "can we live here when you check out?" The place was delightfully Barcelona; we adored sitting on the balcony in the morning light drinking our coffees and watching the residents of the other buildings hang their clothing out to dry. What an experience! The check-in was easy and our hosts were flexible when we had trouble getting our bags and ended up being late. You will find everything you need in the kitchen to cook, but bring your own food supplies, as this apartment was spotlessly clean without a speck of food, apart from a little sugar, coffee and oil. There's plenty of shops and restaurants in the area to stock up with so there won't be trouble finding what you need. I cannot recommend this place enough. We adored it and have no interest in staying anywhere else in Barcelona.
Jun 27, 2019This apartment was in a great location - a 15 min walk to Sagrada Familia, a 15 min walk to Casa Mila, and a 5-10 min walk to several different Metro lines. The beds were very comfortable, bathrooms nice & clean upon arrival, Wifi and AC both worked well. I have recommended they get a larger coffee pot - the current one only makes enough for 2-3 people. We had an issue with a running toilet and no hot water in the main bathroom on the last day of our stay, but the hot water was fixed within the day. Eberhard responded to all requests & inquiries in a timely manner, which we really appreciated. Be aware that if you want to book the taxi pick-up/drop-off option through the Air BnB link this needs to be completed more than 24 hours in advance of when you need it.

The 'OK' rating is due to that fact that on arrival we were advised that one of the two toilets in the flat was broken and would be fixed the next day. However, the next day (before 8am) we were advised that it would not be fixed until later in the week. This caused some inconvenience and was disappointing. Otherwise, the rating would have been higher.

Stellar communication made us feel attended to, the place was a wonderful location and checking in early was a huge help. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful, well-lit space and felt secure and safe in the flat. It was a perfect spot to walk to whatever we needed. It truly felt like our home away from home!

Jun 27, 2019This is a charming old apartment building in a real neighborhood. It has a skinny elevator, narrow stairs and is dripping with character. Scenes from movies could occur anywhere inside. It was exactly what we were looking for. The apartment looks out on the inside of the block, not to the street. It's quiet but there's no distant views. The people you see on the street live there. The shops and restaurants nearby are genuine neighborhood places. When you go in and out, when you walk around the hood, you're getting a taste of how people live in great cities. Transit is every where and there's lots of famous things in walking distance. We had a great walk to the harbor, stumbled on to two of the three train stations and of course that big famous church is right up the street. Walk ten blocks in any direction and surprise and delight are all about.

Only issue we had is we did not have any AC the entire stay and it was between 26-28 degrees in the loft the entire time, we could not leave windows open as it was very noisy due to hallway construction on the main floor. Other then that the place was a good value and a good location.

The apartment is in great location, only 9 minuets from Sagrada Familia. We can also walk to La Rambla and Cathedral. There are super markets, shops and restaurants nearby. The apartment is very clean. Kitchen has all we need. We will definitely stay in this apartment if we come to Barcelona again.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment was great! It has great lighting, it's quiet and the beds are comfortable. It was a great size for the four of us and we could have easily had another person stay and it would not have been crowded. The location was great. We were close to metro stops and went to the bakery/cafe across the street every morning (Teixidó). We were warmly welcomed and although we never needed to contact Aurélie & Eberhard, we knew they would be responsive. We'd love to stay there again next time we're in Barcelona.

Jun 27, 2019We very much enjoyed our time in Barcelona. The apartment was very comfortable and well located so that we were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the electricity supply throughout our visit which meant that the power went off whenever we tried to use even a small number of electrical appliances. The hosts tell me this problem has now been fixed so it shouldn’t be a problem for future guests.

It’s only a few flights up but also has an elevator for those with bigger bags. Thanks for having us on such short notice!
