It just a flat walk 100 meters to Newport Beach. This is just perfect for the guests to leave the car and enjoy a walk to the beach and village eateries ! Newport Beach is a patrolled beach during summer and has excellent beachside facilities. Newport Village has all variety of shops, supermarkets and over twelve good quality restaurant choices from a beach breakfast to elegant dining daily. Take a bottle of wine and walk to the village, chose somewhere different to eat,just like the locals do ! We offer home cooked treats to welcome you, and begin your stay at Nieafu. When its, winter the gas fire is on, but the beach is just as beautiful for you to wander along

If your looking for a place to fully relax, hear the sea from the comfort of your bed or get up early and see the sunrise on the beach. Then this is the place for you. We had a lovely couple of days and Anne was a great host and gave us loads of lovely treats for our stay. My little boy loved playing with the toys and we loved the peace and quite.
Jun 27, 2019Anne was extremely generous and helpful, and a wonderful host. The apartment is lovely, light and bright with everything I needed, and more, such as a very comfortable bed and a great shower. Lots of morning sunshine and night-time ocean waves - my favourite go-to-sleep sound! And exactly as the description says, it's just a few minutes easy stroll to the beach which is fabulous, even in the middle of winter. The neighbourhood was peaceful with cafes and shops only 5 minutes away. I absolutely loved my time at Neiafu and Newport, and can't wait to return. Thank you so much Anne.
Jun 27, 2019Neiafu is an excellent choice! In a wonderful location, a minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes to great cafes, restaurants and shops. Close to transport, yet very quiet. We had a fabulous time there. Everything we needed was all there. Delicious treats, the Sunday paper, great shower, comfy bed and beautiful Italian sheets. Anne is a lovely, welcoming and helpful host. Not one complaint!
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed our stay at Neiafu, it was a great weekend... Anne was very helpful and lovely, with the smallest of touches that made our stay even more memorable, like cookies and chocolate when we arrived, breakfast cereal and snacks left out and having an early/late check in/check out. Her place had a real homely feel, very comfortable and the bed was soft and gave us a good night sleep! This was our first airbnb experience and we would highly recommend her place for everyone to stay at... We only live in Neutral Bay so not far from Newport, but coming just for the night felt like we had got away from the hustle and bustle and we found it so relaxing, peaceful and quiet! We went on a little adventure on Sunday and found an amazing beach to just chill out at, so topped the weekend off nicely! We will definitely go back in the future ;)

Jun 27, 2019Wonderful 10 days in Newport! Thanks Ann and Ron for a warm welcome in their cozy house. They are very friendly and easygoing people. Their place really became my home during my vacation. It was so comfortable and easy. Newport beach is 5 minutes away. There are so many beautiful places around as well. In their house I found everything I needed to spend my time comfortably. I hope to spend my next vacation there as well.

Jun 27, 2019We were very happy with the location of Neiafu and loved being so close to restaurants, shops and the beach. The apartment was clean and bed comfortable; Andi had left lots of provisions for our stay, including a Xmas gift under a tree! Beach towels were a welcome touch too. Unfortunately, Andi and Ron were away when we arrived leaving us unsure of access areas.
Jun 27, 2019Leider war unsere Erfahrung im Neiafu nicht so erfreulich. Der von der Gastgeberin per E-Mail (nicht aber über Airbnb !) stornierte 3. Tag unserer Buchung wurde bei Ankunft nicht komplett von ihr erstattet, obwohl ich sie im Vorfeld mehrfach darum gebeten hatte, über das Airbnb-System zu stornieren, damit alles seine Ordnung hat. Als ich sie um die korrekte Erstattung bat, sagte sie, wir könnten auch gleich wieder gehen, sie habe die Preise erhöht und wir könnten froh sein, es zu dem Airbnb-Preis bekommen zu haben. Nach dieser Diskussion war die Atmosphäre für uns so unerträglich, dass wir keinesfalls Sylvester dort verbringen wollten (abgesehen davon, dass die Wohnung nicht besonders sauber war) und am nächsten Tag das Zimmer wieder geräumt haben, natürlich ohne eine Erstattung ihrerseits. Wir hatten durch diese Buchung leider nur Ärger und doppelte Kosten. Zur Unterkunft: Küche m. kleiner Lounge im Erdgeschoss, recht dunkel und m. Tür zur Gemeinschaftsterrasse. Küche voll eingerichtet, Kochutensilien und Geschirr vorhanden. Müsli, Milch, Butter, Marmelade und Croissants standen auch bereit. Oben sind Bad und Schlafzimmer m. Tür zur Terrasse der Gastgeberin. Wenn man keine großen Ansprüche an Sauberkeit und Privatsphäre hat, ist es durchaus passabel und nicht weit zum Strand und in den Ort.

Jun 27, 2019Anne's place was perfectly adequate for a one night stay in Newport although the place we stayed in is not the same as the photographs. We were also unsure which of the areas we could access as the flat is attached to the main house. But we appreciated the snacks that were left for us and the apartment was clean and tidy.
Jun 27, 2019My partner and I enjoyed our short stay at Andi's Neiafu unit 2. It was clean, well set-up, comfortable and welcoming unit. Kitchen is fully stocked and lounge area downstairs had all that we needed. The queen size bed was comfortable and bathroom (shower) is located upstairs. The bathroom is on the smaller size but works for the place. Perfect for a couple or a single traveler who wants to chill out. There are also some lovely places to sit outside and it has a tropical beach feel about it. Additionally, it was a pleasant surprise to have little treats and breakfast items left for us in their kitchen area. We wished we had more time to explore the area as our stay was a short one. Bottom line, I recommend this place and hope to stay here in the future again.
Jun 27, 2019My wife and I were met by Ron who showed us the way to the property. It was clean and comfortable with a lounge/kitchen downstairs and the bathroom/bedroom upstairs. The hosts provided us with a range of fruit, cereals, juice, milk and some pastries which was was more than enough for our one night stay. There were plenty of books, DVDs and board games also available which was great! Note that it this is not a separate property, but part of the hosts' house. However, it is reasonably isolated and was fine for my wife and I. The location is very close to Newport Beach and Barrenjoey Road with its bevy of cafés and restaurants. Also, the property we stayed at was different to the photos but we would still recommend it!

Jun 27, 2019We stayed in unit 1 at Neiafu, which is the unit shown in the photos above. The area was quiet and beautiful, and as described it was a very short walk to Newport Beach and to local amenities (cafes, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.). Our hosts were friendly and the food left for us was much appreciated, and saved us buying breakfast items for our 2 night stay. As noted by previous reviewers there are 2 units that are rented out, and the outside areas shown are communal for all guests staying on the property. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Jun 27, 2019We had a lovely stay at Neiafu. The unit is well appointed and provisions including cake on arrival were much appreciated. Location is excellent being quiet yet close to Newport Beach and the Newport shopping area with it's numerous restaurants. The bathroom is quite small and a bit awkwardly arranged but everything else very functional. Hosts were lovely and arrangements went smoothly.

Jun 27, 2019Wow! Talk about a super host... It only begins to describe Andi's hospitality. From the minute I arrived she made me feel like I belonged. The apartment has everything you would ever need plus plus plus! A 2 minute walk to the beach... 5 minute walk to some fabulous cafes and restaurants... you couldn't get more central. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and the pillows were great! I could just have easily stayed in bed all weekend if the weather wasn't so lovely. I will definitely be back!

Jun 27, 2019We stayed in Unit 2, which is a different place to the pictures - it should be noted that this unit has a staircase, in case that may be a problem. Despite it being a different place, we enjoyed our stay and the location is absolutely fantastic - we left our car in the street and just walked around Newport for our 2-night stay. There's a great community feel to the area. Appreciated the fruit and breakfast items left out, as well as some choccy and a couple of beers! :)

Jun 27, 2019Anne is a genuinely lovely lady and a great host. Very generous with her time and local knowledge. We were travelling with our young son and she had a cot and high chair, as well as a basket of toys which made all the difference! The flat is really well located near to Newport Beach and we were able to borrow a sun umbrella and boogie board. It’s quite compact but perfect for one or two people wanting to get away from the city for a few days. We were able to get there by bus directly from Sydney.

Jun 27, 2019A great place to visit for a little beach holiday on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Well away from the City hustle and bustle a short stroll to the beach. Great public transport if you need to get to the City, Manly, or even further North to Palm Beach. Andi is such a wonderful host and the place is so comfortable, quiet and relaxing!
Jun 27, 2019The location of this airbnb is just perfect. You can walk to town, to the beach - the neighbourhood is quiet, and the people are really friendly. Feels like a proper getaway from the busy city life. Perfect space for me, my partner and our little puppy dog. Highly recommend.
Jun 27, 2019This host cancelled same-day of my check in as they wouldn't accept dogs even though their listing I'd pet friendly and instantly bookable. Left stranded in Sydney, she also fraudulently asked me to cancel the booking at my end to appear that the guest cancelled and not the host. Why? Because she would receive the cancellation fees. Even went to the point of telling me she had contacted Airbnb and they advised her I was to cancel! Beware of this dodgy operator. Many others out there who are honest and operate with integrity

Excellent bed and large pleasant bedroom. The food Anne supplied made for a generous breakfast and lovely home baked treats were very welcoming. Thank you for offering a great place to stay.
