Sultan's apartment was cozy and clean. The apartment is very centrally located and pefect for a short trip to Istanbul. It is quiet and safe. Sultan has organized airport transfers for us and it worked out fine. On time and friendly. Thank you!
Jun 27, 2019Very nice and cozy room with a terrace at the top floor! The rooms are exactly the ones shown in the photos and there is no disappointment. The friendly host even served us Turkish coffee and biscuits the moment we reached! Room was kept tidy everyday and we had a comfortable stay. The place is easily accessible from sultanahmet station and within walking distance from all the major attractions in sultanahmet area. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable apartment that comes with quality and cleanliness!
Jun 27, 2019This small place is a gem in the old historic part of Istanbul--and for a great price! It was a very clean & well-kept place, in an excellent location in the old city. There were many restaurants & stores within walking distance, and it was a quick 10-minute walk to the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet) area. Ms. Ece, who lives just downstairs, is the Manager of this place, has good English and was very friendly & welcoming. We were served cool juice and cookies upon our arrival and were given a good map of the area. Ms. Ece also did a great job in arranging our late night departure for the airport by a private car. The "apartment" was small, but adequate, with not much room for your luggage, if you are two people like we were. It has a small kitchen area and bathroom, and the roof terrace was a nice touch. This is really not a full apartment, as there was also an open living area and another "apartment" (or room?) on the same floor. But it was private and comfortable. There was also good A/C (split) and internet.
Jun 27, 20193층에 숙소가 있고 주인은 2층에 삽니다. 할머니와 엄마와 딸이 함께 운영하는 숙소여서 안전한 느낌이 들어서 좋았습니다. 생각보다는 방이 작습니다. 싱글침대 2개들어가면 딱 맞는 느낌? 냉장고와 에어컨이 있어서 좋았습니다. 그리고 주인이 지하철역으로 마중을 나와주거나 이런건 없었습니다. 요청을 했는데 안된다고 하더군요^^; 술탄아흐메트역에서 걸어서 찾아갔는데 처음에 찾아가는 것이 몹시 힘들었습니다. 이 숙소 이름이 Bright hotel인가 그런데 아무도 모릅니다. 지도 프린트 잘 해가시고요 Led travel이라는 작은 투어회사 옆에 있고요 근처에 공원이 있으니 이것을 기점으로 찾아가시면 될겁니다. 저는 좁은거랑 3층까지 올라가는 계단이 너무 좁고 가파른것 빼고는 다 괜찮았습니다^^
Jun 27, 2019Even if the room is a bit small, the location is perfect to visit Istanbul, 5 minutes by foot to the historical center in a wonderful and safe part of the city. The appartment is quiet and very clean, and there is a terrace were you can stay in order to appreciate the particular atmosphere of the ancient Costantinople during the morning or in the sunset. Sultan and her family (Ece, her brother and grandma) have been perfect host, extremely kind and helpfull, very reliable and avaible to solve problems and needs. They also organized our transfert to/from the airport by a private car and have created an instant feeling of being at home. The kitchen is well equipped and the price cheaper than every other hotel near Sultan's home: strictly recommended!
Jun 27, 2019I really recommend taking a taxi from the airport. Show the driver your address and ask him how much it will cost. It cost us 50 lira to get there. When we left we took a taxi to the bus station and it cost us 35 lira. Taking the tram for the first time might be a bit too much. The room was clean and big enough for two people. It had a fridge and a hot plate if you choose to cook anything. It had air conditioning which was quite nice to be able to close the window at night to block out the noises. The building was nice as well. We did not go on the terrace, but I'm sure it was lovely. The area is touristy enough that you still feel safe at night and not too secluded. Plenty of restaurant options and little markets to buy snacks are around. My friend and I got lost often, so I highly recommend taking photos of street names and make sure you know where you are. The streets are confusing and sometimes there aren't street names. Sultan was very sweet, as well as her husband, but we mostly dealt with Ece her daughter who spoke English pretty well. She was very sweet and very helpful with setting up a bus ticket for us, calling the taxi, etc. A very smart young lady who has a bright future. I highly recommend staying here and hope maybe someday I can go back.

Jun 27, 2019Wonderful! Book it, you won't regret it. Perfect room for two people with a giant wardrobe, super comfy beds and a beautiful terrace and roof access in a stellar location in Old Town area. Sultan and her daughter were so kind bringing my sister and I a welcome snack of Turkish coffee and candied almonds. They were perfect hosts and very helpful. It's not very large but it's everything you need to lay your things, sleep well and take a nice shower. Wifi runs very fast, too. So close to Blue Mosque and Hagria Sophia and the Grand Bazaar area. Perfect to explore those sights. Highly recommend! We really enjoyed our time.
Jun 27, 2019Superb! Sultan and her daughter Ece are great hosts. We got a map of Istanbul and also some good tips where to go. They also organized the transfer from and to the airport for us. The room was nice, clean, ideal for two people in a great location really close to the historic center. The kitchen and bathroom are quite well equipped. We had towels,shower gel and shampoo and even slippers at the disposal. We really enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommend! Thank you for nice time.
Jun 27, 2019Very welcoming hosts, Sultan and her daughter. They provided me with a map of the Sultanahmet and recommendations for places to go and things to see. The room was fantastic, the top floor of their building, lots of light, patio overlooking a schoolyard. The apartment is literally a 5 minute walk to the center of the Sultanahmet. You might need a GPS to find it initially, but after that, it's all good. It's close to numerous little eateries and stores, as well as Little Aya Sofia. The people in the neighborhood were very friendly. I got lost looking for the street and a local man kindly used his iPhone to get me there. The wifi worked great, the bathroom was very clean and the hot water came up immediately. The bed was comfy. Sultan was also very accommodating about my early arrival; I was able to check in at 8:30 am. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to my friends.

Jun 27, 2019The location of the hotel is perfect, very central. When we arrived, it appeared that the person who lived in the room before us, stayed for one more night. We haven't been informed about it before and we were very unhappy about this fact. However Sultan and her husband dealt with this problem well. They did the following to make it up to us: for the night of the double booking we have been relocated to a better hotel. The day after when we came back to the hotel they gave us an upgraded room and a bottle of wine. Hence all in all we were satisfied with how they dealt with the issue. Our apartment was very clean and functional. This place can be recommended and we will be back if we are in Istanbul.

Jun 27, 2019The room is as pictured - it is small but comfy! Enough room to walk around if you're a couple and more bedspace if you're on your own. Sultan's family live in the apartment right below, so you will always get assistance should you require it. The apartment is close to all the historical sites in the old city (about 7 minutes walk to the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia). Sultan's family members are warm and welcoming and gives great suggestions on where to eat, what to do and where to go, should you ever need some help. I would totally recommend this place if you want a no-frills kinda place to sleep in for the night. And because it's so close by to great food joints and the historical sites, it's easy to head back to the apartment for a quick cat nap or rest before moving on to other parts of Istanbul. They also do daily clean up of the room, just like hotels, but you can tell them to not disturb the room should you not want the service. If I'm ever back in Istanbul, I'll definitely go back to this apartment. Thank you for a wonderful stay! xx

Jun 27, 2019Yes our hostess made us feel welcome. We were greeted when we arrived around 4:30 and we had not given her a good arrival time. The room was clean and orderly and we had everything we needed. It is a quaint neighborhood with many small reasonable restaurants and shops nearby. It is about a 15 minute walk to the big tourist attractions - the Blue Mosque and the Haya Sofia.

Very good location - close to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia; there are souvenir shops nearby and some nice restaurants and little supermarkets around. The members of Sultan's family were very nice and helpful. I really appreciate their help with organizing a taxi for us at 5 a.m. to the airport. Sultan's daughter Ece Nur was helping with everything we needed. A nice place to stay in Istanbul!

They also provided a book which is very useful. And the location is good. It's not far away from the historical interest. And also good restaurant nearby. :)
Jun 27, 2019Sultan organised transport from the airport and that worked fine. When we arrived he came to our room and he and his daughter made us feel welcome with suggestions and a map. If you have read the other revues you will know that the room is quite small. However it is well equipped with everything you could need. It has a large window with door leading to a small balcony so it does not seem claustrophobic in any way. One evening we took our drinks up to the roof terrace which was fascinating. The view is not beautiful but very interesting. When the call to prayer comes it is an amazing sound with so many mosques nearby. The location of the hotel is excellent with lots going on nearby. We loved the fish restaurant area in Sultanahmet.
Jun 27, 2019My experience at Sultan's place was very pleasant. We were received by Sultan's daughter Ece who was super helpful and gave us a lot of tips about the city. Location: very well located within the Sultanahmet area, minutes away from the main landmarks. Room: the room is super clean and comfy and has everything you may need. Only comment is that it's quite small, so you won't want to spend a lot of time in there. Hosts: super nice. They even gave us a public transportation card that allows you to use the tram at half the price. In summary, we had a great Istanbul experience.

The view from the rooftop terrace was unforgettable, and it we will never forget having Turkish coffee and sweets, made by our host, sitting up on the roof with them and watching the sunset! The location is perfect for seeing the sights, and there are many great food options in the area. Thanks so much for being so generous and kind during the entire trip. We would love to see you again if we come back to istanbul someday!
Jun 27, 2019Sultan and her family were wonderful hosts -helped us with airport transfers, gave us a map and some tips where to go and made us feel at home. Room itself is as shown and very, very clean - they even cleaned and tided for us when we were out. Location is perfect - a five minute walk from Sultanahment but far enough away to be outside of the mega tourist zone and in an authentic Turkish neighbourhood where you can dig out some great places to eat.

Excellent location with access to the Blue Mosque within 10-min walking and tons of restaurants & shops nearby. Sultan and her families were very friendly. Her brother welcomed us in and gave us lots of good travel advice. Our three-day itinerary was pretty much based on the route he suggested. We also had wonderful chats with Sultan's daughter at nights. Btw the view from the roof top is absolutely AMAZING!!! You have to see it to believe it! I highly recommend Sultan's place!

Right from the moment we had made the booking, Ece reached out to help us organise our arrival as well as proposing some options for getting to the apartment from the airport. We arrived quite late and Ece was nonetheless there to offer a warm welcome, get us settled. Throughout our stay, we received tips and recommendations about what to see and where to eat. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Blue Mosque and other attractions. The apartment was super clean and comfortable and on a calm street considering the central location. Towels, sheets and even a travel guide were provided! Great value accommodation and very friendly hosts.
Jun 27, 2019We found this apartment to be very clean and comfortable, and the owners were very professional about everything, providing a book about Istanbul and a map. The room had means for cooking, good clean shower, cosy, etc.. It's in a great location, one way going up to the Blue mosque, the other going into some interesting local streets. There are some decent looking bars and restaurants within a minutes walk. The tram line is 5-10mins walk away (near Blue Mosque), which makes everything fairly accessible. We enjoyed walking the mile or so to the ferry and crossing over to the asian side for food and a walk about. The family owners are friendly and helpful. We had a nice stay in Istanbul.

Jun 27, 2019Acceuil très professionnel et cordial par Ece, cependant elle ne cherche pas à échanger davantage, et accueil très sympatique par son frère qui nous a donné quelques bons plans pour nos visites. l'appartement est petit mais confortable et équipé. il ets situé dans une rue vers la mosque petite STe Sophie, à minutes de la mosquée bleue. Le quartier est toujours bien animé et les gens y sont très sympatiques. Il nous a paru surprenant pour un Airbnb que quelqu'un rentre dans notre chambre pendant notre absence. Bon rapport qualité prix, dommage que l'accueil d'Ece manque de spontanéité et de chaleur.
Jul 27, 2019First of all, I am going to say that I am so glad that I found this little gem of a place on AirBnB. Right from the first moment, Sultan's daughter Ece took great care of us, bringing us a map and a guide to Istanbul. She went over our itinerary with us and would chat with us almost daily asking us about our day and giving us advice. She was even available on (Hidden by Airbnb) if we had doubts about prices at Grand Bazaar and such! The room is beautiful! It is very stylishly decorated and very cozy. The room had counterspace, provision to make tea or coffee and even an electric stove. Like most other hotel rooms in the area, it has less square footage but it is not a problem if you are spending the day sightseeing anyways. The room has a balcony as well and at no point we felt that we were cramped. The bathroom was cleaned daily and served its purpose. Just outside the room is a lobby and you can see the picture of that with a spiral staircase. They keep the fridge filled with bottled water that you can take anytime. Ece gave us a tour of the building as well later to show us their backyard and cute fruit trees. It was overall a very clean, cozy space and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at Bright Apartments. The biggest selling point of this place is the location! It is a 10 min walk to Sultanahmet square and the places of historical importance. The tram station is also right there near the Blue mosque and made traveling very easy. Ece had explained to us about the tram system and all the trains available to places of importance. There are also restaurants, and Arasta Bazaar and some decent bars close by if you want to dine somewhere close by to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing. There are shared shuttles also available very close by to and from airports if you dont want a private transfer. Very convenient. Overall, it was a great experience staying here and we thank you for making our visit so memorable!

Sultan, her daughter and mother treated us to Turkish tea and cake two of the nights we were there, on their rooftop terrace.

A única ressalva é quanto à área do apartamento que é menor do que parece ser no anúncio. O bairro é bem localizado no lugar mais turístico de Istanbul, a poucas quadras da praça principal da cidade.

The balcony overlooking the school yard was a nice addition to the room. We had a great stay at Sultan's place and would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore beautiful Istanbul.
Jun 27, 2019My mate and i had a great stay with Sultan, Ece and their family. We arrived just past midday, and was greeted by Sultan and her son, who was able to provide us with a map and explain things to do in Istanbul. We met Ece later that night after she finished school. The room was as described, but what really makes this AirBNB great is the people. Sultan doesn't speak much English, but is always friendly, smiling and helpful. Ece speaks great English, and was extremely generous and chatty. Although still in high school, i can already see that Ece has a bright future in the travel industry, or as an English school teacher - as long as she puts her mind to it. (She was teaching me Turkish while i was helping trying to explain high school maths to her) Thanks to Sultan, Ece and their family for the wonderful stay. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Istanbul!

Jun 27, 2019The apartment that we received was not the one that we had reserved online, but it was very similar. The place has a very good location close to Sultanahmet and to the tram line that brings over to the Beyoglu (Kabatac). The apartment was cleaned every day so it was like a hotel. Sultan and her family was very kind, they did everything to make our stay comfortable. This place is recommended.

Jun 27, 2019I had the pleasure of staying at Sultan's place for two weeks. I am a girl travelling alone and I could say this place is pretty safe. The room is super clean, and very well equipped. There are close supermarkets and restaurants so you can find anything you need. The room is a bit smaller than it seems in the picture, so if you are two people it might be a little snug, but if you are alone it is perfectly fine. The hosts are super friendly, communicative, and available. I definitely recommend this place and would stay there again if I visit in the future.
Jun 27, 2019Отличное место для проживания для не требовательного туриста. В "квартире" есть все что требуется для проживания. Посуда, микроволновка, чайник. Чистое постельное белье. Удобная терраса на крыше. Очень доброжелательные хозяева. WI-FI стабильный, были проблемы только в один из 6 дней. Фото туалета не соответствует действительности. Там нет душевой кабины.

Jun 27, 2019The place we stayed at was a snug double room that was close to Sultanahmet and Ayasofya. The neighborhood was safe and offered quality food at good prices. Everything you need is in the room: cooking amenities, TV, fridge. The hosts were very welcoming and answered all of our questions. Very good customer service.
Jun 27, 2019We had a pleasant stay! The apartment is very central, we walked everywhere and several main attractions are within 5-10 minutes. The rooftop is perfect for breakfast. The shower was different from the one pictured but it was not an issue. The room was very clean. Not large but it suited us well and had all we needed! We got good service with the check-in, good tips for experiencing the neighborhood, and very responsive communication!

Jun 27, 2019Apartments are in the Old City. Way to the Blue mosque takes no more than 10 minutes. Excellent arrangement! Apartments are small, but there are everything that it is necessary for you here. Everything is serviceable and clean. Owners clean the apt every day. The hostess is very benevolent, always in touch and helps with a case of emergence of questions. Before New Year we got a compliment from the hostess - a bottle of wine and fruits. We have been pleasantly surprised! Wifi worked well. From minuses - the subway and the tram is far, it is necessary to go to them on stone blocks on hills. It is inconvenient with freight in hands.

Jun 27, 2019This is such a fantastic little apartment. It is small but was enough space for my friend and I. The room has a kitchenette which was very handy for quick, simple meals. But the terrace! That terrace is amazing and I miss it already. The apt is located in a great part of town, ten minutes to the main sights and restaurants. Sultan is very hospitable and kind. I highly recommend this flat if you're looking for a place in Instabul
Jun 27, 2019We spent a great time in Istanbul. The apartment is well located, though streets around are very steep. Edge is a great host, and arranged transportation from and to airport. The place is really small and we could not find a place for our suitcases. (Had to put them under the table) The main problem for us was the bathroom. It is quite different from the one on the picture. It is too small and has no curtain, so when you take a shower everything gets wet. On the other hand, It has a tiny balcony, where we could take the two chairs and enjoy a beautiful view. Nice terrace to have a drink (a bit difficult to get there). Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Jun 27, 2019Спасибо большое за гостепреимство. проживание в этом апарт-отеле понравилось. номер на 1-2 человек подходит. ванная комната не соответствует фото (в других отзывах это есть: нет душевой кабины). но во многих квартирах турции ванные комнаты именно такие. мне было вполне комфортно, т.к. сталкиваюсь с этим не первый раз. Султанахмет в 10 минутах ходьбы. требавательным туристам нужны пятизвездочные отели. аппарт-отели такого типа для нетребовательного туриста. мне все понравилось. чувствовала себя с сыном как дома. следующая поездка - именно сюда. Sultan, Ece - большой привет вам из России.;)
