Neighborhood Overview
Up and Coming Artsy Urban Neighborhood in Brooklyn. Close to local restaurants and bars. The train stops are a 10-12 minute walk. Once on the train it's less than 25 minutes to Manhattan. This is Brooklyn, not Manhattan. There will be some travel time to get to Manhattan, in my opinion, not too much. The neighborhood is safe, but can be a culture shock for some. It's not the upper west side or midtown, keep that in mind. I love my neighborhood!

Jun 27, 2019La casa queda a 10 min de la estación de tren mas cercana. Victor y su esposa son excelentes anfitriones. El barrio es seguro nunca nos paso nada y independiente de la hora. Ademas Victor estuvo pendiente de nosotros cuando nos íbamos para al aeropuerto a las 4 am!!!

Jun 27, 2019Was a short night stay at the room, made the reservation late that day (around 2 pm). Quick reply by the host, and friendly. We didn't have a chance to meet with the host, was out for work. The room was very comfortable, with nice decor, huge collections of music, bonus point here. And the room, the house was clean and neat. One thing to notice was the air con, a little bit too noisy when sleeping, but can be turned down or turned off so not a huge deal. Parking is only street side parking, might be a little bit hard to find free spot, but manageable. Overall 4.5 out of 5!

Victor was a very gracious host...prompt in his responses, gave us directions, and even met us at the train station! The space is exactly as described (all of the comforts of home). Victor gave us a tour of the space (even offering snacks), a book with a bunch of things to do during our stay, and some take out menus for some great places nearby. We would definitely stay again! Thank you Victor!
Jun 27, 2019My fiancee and I had a great stay at Victors. We arrived late but he made sure to stick around to make sure we got into the apartment no problem. He gave us a quick tour of his apartment and offered us some snacks if we were hungry. The room was just as described and very comfortable, and he had the AC going so the room was nice when we arrived. The apartment was about a 8-10 minute walk from the J, M line and so was very convenient to get into the city.

Jun 27, 2019Victor was a fantastic host for my girlfriend and I's first Airbnb experience. He went above and beyond and took time away from his already planned scheduled haircut to meet us near the subway station by his house so he could walk with us through the neighborhood to his home. Additionally, he made flexible arrangements with us to have us check-in immediately when we arrived into New York (which was around noon and way before 3pm as Air bnb suggests). The neighborhood in the daytime is very uplifting and diverse with many markets in the area. The subway station is as Victor described about 10 minutes walking to each station nearby and 20 minute ride into the city. I would suggest walking with a buddy at night though as it does make you feel a bit uneasy when it gets dark to walk there alone, but Victor definitely was good about reassuring that nothing goes wrong even after hours.

Jun 27, 2019Victor was an awesome host and I had a fantastic stay at his place. Even though he was at work when I arrived, check-in was a breeze. Victor is super-friendly, and his apartment is cool and amazingly clean -- it looks even better in person than in the photos! It's also close to just about everything you could need. I know the area pretty well, and would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Jun 27, 2019All was perfect. It is a very nice and clean room, with tv, air conditioner, big bathroom, i really felt very good there. The place is near the metro so you can move easily to downtown. Also, Víctor is great, he wait for us in the exit of the subway and explained all about the neighborhood, the markets, foods, everything. it was a really good experience.

Jun 27, 2019Victor wasn't there when me and my girlfriend arrived but he arranged for us to get the apartment keys. We were able to get into the apartment without any problem. We didn't get the chance to meet with him since our schedules didn't match and we just went to the apartment to sleep. The room is nice and the bed is comfortable. The neighborhood isn't very fancy but we never felt unsafe. It is near the metro which is really convenient. I would definetly go again to this apartment.

Even though he was not there when we arrived, getting to the house and into the room was a breeze, thanks to the clear instructions. The room was just as described and we spent a couple of good nights there, resting from all New York has to offer. The metro is about 10 minutes walking to different lines, so that was easy as well.

Jun 27, 2019Victor was a great host. He met us when we got to the apt. which was spacious, very clean and tidy. He was helpful and accommodating. He wasn't around much which wasn't a problem for us as neither were we, only using the room to sleep at night after exploring the city during the days and he was very responsive / communicative whenever we had questions. Place was close to multiple train lines making travel to the city fairly quick and convenient. We had a great first time Airbnb experience staying with victor. Definitely recommended.

Jun 27, 2019Victor was an amazing Host for my first time using Airbnb. He was very nice and really friendly, he texted me the day to confirm my arrival and he cleaned up and prepped for my arrival. The room was a lot bigger than what I was expecting and very spacious for me and my friend that came as well. The first Night victor gave us a tour of the surrounding neighborhood and gave us some tips about bars and restaurants that we would enjoy. Over all staying with victor was very pleasant and I would do it again if i'm back in Brooklyn!

The room and the apartment in its whole fit completely with the description. It is very well located so that it was easy to go to Manhattan and visit the city. The neighborhood is nice too. In a word, Victor's room is the perfect place to spend a very good time while in NYC!

Jun 27, 2019Victor's house was a nice, spacious and clean place. He had to work when we arrived but left the keys in a lock box and we found a kind note when we entered the place. He really gave us the feeling that we should make ourselves at home. The room was big and there was a nice bathroom. Supermarket is around the corner and train stations are a 10 minute walk (it will take around 25 minutes to get to times square). We had a great time and would defenitely recommend this place!!
Jun 27, 2019This is so cozy and nice. but it is far from Manhattan little bit but it doesn't matter. I miss this room because it made me feel comfortable a lot. Also, it is such a clean house! Their bathroom, kitchen as well as bedroom are so clean so I like it.
Jun 27, 2019Victor's house was nice and clean. The room is comfortable. The bathroom has a very good shower. Victor is friendly and kind. He is usually at work during the night. Train stations are at 5/10 minutes walk and it takes 30 minutes to reach Times Square. I recommend this place!
Jun 27, 2019I stayed a weekend at Victor's and it was just what I needed. Only a few blocks from the station. What's great about this station in particular is that you have Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, and others where you can grab and go. Victor's private room is as described, clean cozy and very spacious for two people. It started snowing and getting back to the house was always pleasant, the heater is great! Hot water too. Victor wasn't there to receive us but he left us clear instructions about the keys, we got to meet him later that weekend. Very nice guy and house.

Jun 27, 2019I stayed at Victor´s house with my boyfriend for couple days. It was totally amazing ! Victor is so nice, willing and helpful ! We also met one evening with him and his friend and talk, they are such nice people! Regarding room, it looks much better than on the picture, very clean, big, tv and we could use kitchen too. It is like 8 minutes from subway and to the center it takes cca 30 minutes, no problem with transport..everything is close. I highly recommend !! Thank you so much !

The place is located less than 10 min to the subway, so it's easy to get to Manhattan. The room was great, spacious and the bed super comfortable, especially after a long day in the city. I really didn't know what to expect and was a little afraid because I had my 9 year old son with me but I had a wonderful and safe experience. It really felt like I rented a house to myself! The room was clean and the bed was firm and comfy so I was extremely happy about that!! Victor's schedule and mine clashed so I didn't have the opportunity to meet him (which I regret :( ) but he made everything available to me in the house. Also, when I had a question he was always available through text. The neighborhood is good and felt really safe walking the streets after dark. The train is about a 7 min walk and literally everything is available to you in that neighborhood. I am planning on coming back in the summer so I will definitely rent this room again if available. Jun 27, 2019My mother and I stayed 1 week at Victor's place. It was clean, the kitchen and fridge were free to use and the second bed available was convenient and comfy. Close to several subway stations so it was easy to go to Manhattan and from/to JFK airport. Wifi was quite slow. Victor is a flexible host and he responded to all our questions very quickly. All in all, we are very happy with our stay!
Jun 27, 2019I really enjoyed my stay with Victor. The service was good and the place is cozy. It is only 8-minute walk to subway and the neighborhood is not too loud or noisy. I totally recommend this place for those who require privacy and peaceful sleep. I am one of the lucky few that is able to meet him personally when I was there. As it turned out, he is a very chill and easygoing guy. Definitely will come back there again!

For us the neighborhood needed some getting used to, but it is safe and a welcomed change to overcrowded Manhattan. Public transport connection to Manhattan is also good. We enjoyed our stay at Victor's house and would recommend it.

Even though we did not have the pleasure of meeting him in person (due to conflicting schedules) he responded promptly to any messages we sent him and addressed any concerns we had. His place is warm and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen; he even left some things in the fridge for us. The wifi, although slow, is a nice amenity to have on offer and accessing the house is easy. It is a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway station from which you can travel to any part of the city. A really great place that made our trip very enjoyable.

Jun 27, 2019Victor is a GREAT host! He is very friendly, accommodating, and provides lots of extra perks and amenities! His place is a GREAT value of a deal! Every night I got great rest for the exception of the last night...there were some foot step noises and rain type sounds (eventhough it wasnt raining) the whole night...not quite sure where those were coming from....Anyway, asides from that every other night was peaceful, private and Victor went out of his way to allow me to check in early! Which I'm super thankful for! I would stay again and reccommend to friends!

Víctor ha sido muy amable con nosotras, ha estado muy atento a cualquier consulta que le hemos hecho. Recomendable 100%. It's also convenient to everything... food, shopping, transportation, etc. Victor works most nights, but if you're lucky, you may even get to meet him during your visit. I wish his place wasn't always booked, because I would stay there even more.

He greeted us at the door when he heard us come up and showed us to our room, the kitchen and bathroom. Victor's place was about 5-7 minute walk to the train, surrounded by local delis and restaurants. The neighbourhood was actually very quiet, we even had our window opened at night to let the breeze in. Overall it was a great stay! Victor was not at the property in person but was always available via phone and helped us with self check in very efficient manner. The house and the room were ultra clean and seemed really cozy. Jun 27, 2019Best value we could find and a perfectly good room with AC, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. Bushwick is Bushwick but it's not too difficult to get into Manhattan or Williamsburg. We did not actually meet Victor (effectively had the place to ourselves) but he was very responsive to our questions. Thanks Victor!

Jun 27, 2019The place was really nice! There was an AC which was a blessing in the summer heat. It was also really close to supermarket/stores, which made it very convenient especially for traveling on a budget. There was both a bus and subway station nearby, which made it easy to travel around within Brooklyn as well as get to Manhattan. Also Victor was really awesome; a very helpful and communicative host. We really enjoyed our time there!
Jun 27, 2019We stayed there a few nights and honestly, it was super great! Free parking right at the front door, kind neighbors, next to every thing someone might need. The house was super clean. We did not have the occasion to meet with the host, which was just fine with us, it felt like we were at home! Thanks a lot Victor for the place and all the tips! Muchas gracias
Jun 27, 2019ictor's place was an amazing place to stay It was very clean and he was always there to help in any way he could. It was super close to the subway station so making it to Manhattan in under an hour was no problem. I would definitely stay there again.
Jun 27, 2019Victor's place was immaculately clean. He responds very quickly, and check in was easy. The air conditioning was great, and we watched Netflix on his huge TV. The kitchen was nice, filtered water, etc. close to the metro, which is a bonus for us for sure. We will stay there again, though the neighborhood made us a bit nervous, we felt safe!

El cuarto de baño estaba limpio y la ducha funcionaba bien. El piso está cerca de dos lineas de metro que van directamente a Manhattan. La relación precio calidad es buena. Os recomiendo plenamente el piso de Victor.
Jul 27, 2019Victor's place has become my home away from home... I stay here every time I visit Brooklyn, which is a lot! This amazingly clean first-floor apartment has everything you need to be comfortable: a fully-stocked kitchen, a semi-private bathroom, internet access, and a large screen TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. And bonus points for providing a full-length mirror, and an empty closet and dresser in the cozy bedroom! Not many hosts think to do that. The location can't be beat. There is a grocery store and laundromat nearby, plus there are bodegas and restaurants on almost every corner. The apartment is also a short walk to the J and M subway lines and not far from the L line, so you can be in Williamsburg or Manhattan in a matter of minutes.

No coincidimos con Victor, pero nos atendió muy amablemente por mensajes. Si volvemos a NYC, que volveremos, no dudaremos en volvernos a alojar en su casa, lo recomendamos 100%

Jun 27, 2019Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit bei Victor. Wir haben uns zwar nie gesehen aber per Mail standen wir bei Fragen in Kontakt. Zu Beginn gab es ein paar Probleme mit dem Wlan aber Victor konnte das beheben. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und ruhig. Es gibt eine seht gute Anbindung zur Sabway und auch einige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Es hat und sehr gut gefallen. Vielen Dank Gaby und Marlon

Jun 27, 2019Very close to the subway station and travel to most places was very convenient including the initial journey from JFK. The space is clean and comfortable and nothing was unexpected. We only got to meet Victor on the last day but he was so nice and friendly! Highly recommend.

Jun 27, 2019Sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft in Brooklyn! Wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche bei Victor. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und sauber und toll ausgestattet - es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Besonders hilfreich war das "Guestbook" mit vielen praktischen und wertvollen Tipps für einen New York-Aufenthalt, das Victor für seine Gäste erstellt hat. Die Lage von Victors Haus ist super: die U-Bahn ist nur wenige Fußminuten entfernt; Manhattan und der Flughafen JFK sind direkt und relativ schnell zu erreichen. Es gibt viele Supermärkte, Restaurants und Geschäfte in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Gegend ist sehr sauber und sicher - wir haben uns die ganze Zeit und auch nachts sehr wohl gefühlt. Check-In und Check-Out waren absolut problemlos und Victor hat auch hier alles getan, um unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Die Kommunikation war ebenfalls super - unsere wenigen Fragen wurden sehr schnell beantwortet. Alles in allem ein absoluter Tipp für New York bei einem wirklich supernetten Gastgeber - so macht AirBnB einfach Spaß. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Jun 27, 2019Bon emplacement, 10 min à pied de la station du métro J et Z. 13min pour métro L. Au tour de la station métro L, y a KFC, Burger King et McDonald’s ainsi que un pharmacie. Le hôte est gentil, sympa. La literie est pas parfaitement propre. Sinon, tout va bien.

Jun 27, 2019Vic and Gabby are super nice and super casual. The room is as pictured, the bathroom is a little darker. The room furnishings are for sale, so the room may change. I really appreciated the large closet with hangers and the empty table to organize my stay. There was an electrical outlet strip in the room so that I could recharge everything in one place at night. There is just one window in the room that does open and is protected by bars, but there was a fan and an air conditioner to help with the airflow. I didn’t try them out but was glad they were there. Upon request, Vic provided additional towels to the one left in the room. The neighborhood is as Vic described, the bodegas are available but I found them quite dingy. The walk is quite straightforward from the subway. People I passed while walking to and from seemed friendly. No one bothered me at all. The room is a good value for the price and for NYC. Vic and Gabby are wonderful.

Jun 27, 2019Victor is a very prompt and cool host to have for this trip. Very clear and fast communication between us. He was more than helpful with his knowledge about NYC and the Bushwick neighborhood. And more importantly he was very welcoming. He even allowed me to drop off my bags 2 hours before check-in! The place was great and the pictures tell no lies. Clean and homey. Amenities were readily available and there was solid and fast internet. The neighborhood was pretty awesome too with plenty of local shops to buy food and other supplies if needed. Thanks again for an amazing NYC experience Victor and I hope to travel back again in the future!

Jun 27, 2019This apartment located in Bushwick is quiet, clean, and simple. Labels indicate where to find kitchen items, extra sheets, and bathroom essentials. The room we rented (#2) was a little smaller than we expected, but it served us well. I will say this is not a lavish stay, it is very utilitarian and easy to use. As well, there was a chinchilla in the living room which at first was a little surprising, but is very cute. Transit to other parts of the city was straightforward, but sometimes could take 30 minutes or so. Plan accordingly. Overall, a positive experience.

I didn’t get the chance to see him but he was very easy to rely on and gave me clear instructions to come into his house. It was also pretty easy to park around his place and the subway station is about 10 minutes walk from there. Considering the low price and Victor’s great hospitality, it’s a perfect place to stay if your planning to visit NYC!
Jun 27, 2019You cannot beat the price, location, or hospitality! The neighborhood is great and right next to public transportation. It was a great spot that allowed us to feel much less like tourists. This was our first time in an AirBnB, so we had some questions about how we were supposed to utilize the space; his notes around the house felt a little impersonal and didn’t answer all of those questions for us. After we met him though, we felt much better and definitely welcome! All in all, we had a great experience at Victor’s place and would do it again in a heartbeat.

El apartamento está en Brooklyn a 10 min de la parada de metro con una tienda justo a la entrada del Subway en la que se puede comprar cafe, bocatas y desayunos por un buen precio. La zona no es nada peligrosa y está a unos 45 min de Manhattan. La habitación es amplia y privada. No hemos tenido ningún inconveniente con el baño compartido por lo que fue genial. Víctor es un anfitrión muy amable, atento y que te ayuda en todo lo que necesites. Gracias por todo!

The subway gets you into the city within 25-30 minutes. If you want to save money and still want to have a great place to stay that's the airbnb to go to.
