Jun 27, 2019We had a very great stay at Galata Junior Suite. The apartment was exactly what it's look like in the pictures. Our host Ali was always answering rapidly and was accomodating. The location is very great, with a lot of cafe and shops nearby, but also quiet at night. The tramway station and metro station are also very close. Thank you Ali!

Jun 27, 2019Ali's apartment was perfect for our first trip to Istanbul. The location was central to other neighborhoods Ortakoy, Kadikoy, Eminonu, Sultanahmet, and close to the public transit to get you there. (you can also take the nearby M line to Ataturk airport). Galata is quite hip with great cafes and coffee shops. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and quiet, and just a great place to relax for a few hours or enjoy the city. Ali went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Can't say enough about our stay! 5 stars for everything.

Jun 27, 2019I almost felt like I didn't need Istanbul Card for public transport. Grate location...!!! However, if you are light sleeper be aware that you could experience some noise from people staying in a flat above your apartment and flat in back yard...

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is same as on the pictures. Very clean and nice for two people. Positive: LOCATION is super nice to visit istanbul. Ali is a good and responsive host. Apartment clean, good bedding. Negative-improvable: Internet is slow, especially in the evening, we had 1 day internet totally out. Bathroom is small, no shampoo, only bath gel provided. MISSING LIGHT, the appartement is very dark. Overall, we recommend staying in this place.
Jun 27, 2019Ali's suite, was extremely stylish. Its was extremely well located, and was both near the main shopping street/area with the most restaurants and was on a quite street. It was 5 minutes of walking to whichever type of cuisine you could imagine. The apartment itself was very stylish, with beautiful exposed bricks and a nice lighting. The two seats featured on the photos were actually for the hall area rather than the room, but everything else matched perfectly. The bed was one of the most comfortable ones I have slept in. I renewed my stay twice.

Jun 27, 2019Ali is a warm and considerate host who did his best to make us feel welcomed. The studio is uniquely furnished with a distinct character, clean and has all you need for a short trip. The apartment is located in the most charming area in Beyoglu, with cozy cafés and sophisticated restaurants nearby. It is close to the shopping mile Istiklal Cd., the metro station Sishane but you can also easily walk to the main attractions from Karaköy through the Galata Bridge to Eminönü. We had a wonderful time here and the apartment definitely enhanced our Istanbul experience. We would come back.

Jun 27, 2019(Website hidden by Airbnb) location. Stone throw away from subway, Taksim main shopping street, Galata tower and the restaurants and bars nearby. Ferry stop to cross Bosphorus 15 min away by foot. Stylish, clean and cozy apartment. Comfy bed and quality shower. We would stay again!
Jun 27, 2019Beautiful little apartment in possibly the best location in the entire town. Loved Ali (our host) and our stay, however unfortunately had to knock the review down a couple of notches for one reason - the noise! The street noise was one thing (noisy sellers yelling walking past, traffic over cobblestones, call to prayer) but the noise from our upstairs neighbors was unbearable! Constant thump thumping as they walked around at all hours of the night. I’d recommend the building, but make sure you get one of the apartments on the higher floors.

There are many nice cafes/pubs/restaurants with great food within easy reach. We had a good time there. Ali is very helpful host, he quickly responded to our questions.

Jun 27, 2019Apartamento muy bien situado cerca de Galata y de la calle Istiklal. Si no os perdeis, está a cinco minutos del metro, eso sí, en una calle en cuesta, como casi todas en Estambul. Olvidaros de cocinar. Solo hay una placa portátil, un horno mini encima de los armarios de la cocina (imposible alcanzarlo sin una escalera. Y para comer hay una mesa con una única silla. No hay nada (ni planos, ni información y tampoco las típicas cosas básicas que pasan de unos huéspedes a otros (sal, azucar y cosas así). En los alrededores hay pequeñas tiendas donde comprar leche, agua y poco más. Antesde nuestra llegada, Ali nos respondió siempre puntualmente, pero el día de la llegada fue un poco caótico: tuvimos problemas de cobertura y contactamos mas tarde de los esperado con Ali; nos perdimos y no nos supo indicar como llegar al apartamento y despuñes de tres llamadas. se enfadó y nos dijo que nos espabiláramos y que cuando llegáramos le avisáramos. encontramos un coche de policia que nos ayudó a encontrar el camino y cuando llegamos al apartamento nos tocó esperar 20 minutos en la calle a las 11 de la noche. Aún con los pequeños inconvenientes, es un buen apartamento.

He was ready with instructions to get me from the airport to the flat, waited to meet me at the location, and was available all week to support me with answers to my questions about the sites, transportation, etc. The location is ideal--this is probably the hippest place you could stay, not only in the Galata/Beyoglu area, but its on a side street that seems to have some of the newest cafes/shops/restaurants even by the neighborhood's standards. The space is cool, it has high ceilings, modern decor, strong shower. Highly recommended.

Jun 27, 2019Absolutely amazing place, Ali was an incredible host and if you're looking for a place to stay in Istanbul this is it! The apartment is located on quiet street in the Galata neighbourhood a short walk away from Şişhane metro station. After a delay at the airport, Ali greeted me warmly at the front door and showed me the space which is very accurate. Probably the best Airbnb I have stayed in this entire trip. He also provided me with suggestions on where to go, what to see, places to eat, where the grocery store was and where the catch public transportation. Ali was very responsive and accommodating, I couldn't have asked for a better host. When I return to Istanbul, and I will, I will hopefully be able to stay at Ali's place again.

Jun 27, 2019Great location. Great apartment. Even though we never met Ali everything was smooth and handled well. Ali was still very responsive and helpful. It is a bit noisy as it's the ground apartment but it's just becomes part of the atmosphere and the bed is just so comfortable you can sleep through anything.
Jun 27, 2019The biggest merit of Ali’s place is its location- away from crowds and noise but still close to Galata Tower! The room itself is spacious but also with every amenity that one might need. Close to eat are many nice cafes, restaurants and multiple shops! I also found it to be a great value for money especially considering it’s location. Definitely recommended by me!

Jun 27, 2019My boyfriend and I stayed for a week at Ali's apartment, and cannot recommend it enough. The location is perfect - so close to the Metro station and super easy to get to/from the airport. But most of all, it is located in such a cool neighbourhood surrounded by beautiful boutiques and close to great restaurants. The apartment is on street level, but it is so quiet at night! Everything was immaculately clean and had all the amenities we needed (fridge, coffee machine, air conditioning, good wifi, toiletries etc). The bed was really comfortable and had good pillows. Ali is a fantastic host - great communication, check in and out was super easy, and he is a lovely guy! We really wanted to eat mezze at a restaurant called Asmali Cavit (5 mins walk, just off Istiklal Street) but you can only book by phone - we messaged Ali and he messaged back a few hours later saying he'd dropped by and booked a table for us :-) we had such a delicious dinner there (definitely recommend), and we are so grateful to Ali for going out of his way for us! We would recommend Ali's place to friends and family, and would definitely stay again.

It is also close to a shopping district which has shops, restaurants and entertainment. The host is great and really helpful and kind. The apartment is perfect for any couple. It was clean and had all you need for a holiday. It is located on a hill. I would recommend this place to anyone
Jun 27, 2019ali's place was fantastic my flight got in VERY late and ali had no problem waiting for me to show up it was much bigger than it looks in the pictures and also more comfortable than i was expecting the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was AMAZING the location was perfect, just a few minutes walk to Istiklal Street and Galata Tower and tons of restaurants and shops i've seen some comments on here about the amount of noise from neighbors and such and the fact of the matter is that there was quite a bit of noise but, i just brought some earplugs with me for sleeping and had no problems whatsoever all in all this was one of the best airbnb experiences i'v ever had i would definitely recommend ali's place to anyone visiting Istanbul
Jun 27, 2019The apt is really beautiful and stylish. There are Cafés everywhere around and the Galata Tower is in 3 min walking distance, hence the apt is super close to the end of the taksim square! There are cats everywhere in the streets, so bring some cat treats for a daily cuddle session! :-) The communication was super! All questions where answered immediately and we were helped with whatever we needed help with. We would definitely stay in this apt again!
