Riverside Park is a block away for biking, jogging and exploring the beautiful Hudson River/green necklace. The 1,2,3 are wo blocks away. The buses run north and south on Broadway and Riverside. The location is within walking distance to Columbia University and a subway stop to Lincoln Center.

This is a very neighborhoody building so no parties allowed. I prefer extended rentals such as for the whole summer including June , July and August. And quiet time after 10:00 is a must for the neighbors.

A roomy and comfortable apartment in an ideal location for visiting our daughter at Columbia, near the 96th Street subway stop and opposite Riverside Park. Mike was very helpful in sorting out the WiFi for us long distance on the first day. I think this may have been the first time he'd rented the place; an extra front door key would be handy for the future, as there is no intercom.
Jun 27, 2019Mike's apartment was the prefect location for visiting NYC. It was extremely easy to catch taxicabs and major subway lines are a short distance away. The neighborhood was fantastic and much quieter than had we stayed closer to midtown. Since we were traveling with our dog, Java, it was wonderful to have a park just a few steps from the apartment, not to mention being able to take longer walks in Central Park. The apartment was very spacious which is very unusual for New York City. The kitchen was large enough that you can actually cook a meal in it and easily set 4 people. Mike was a wonderful host and made our stay very comfortable and check in with us to make sure things were going fine. He responded to our messages/calls very quickly. We highly recommend Mike's apartment!
Jun 27, 2019The apartment has an excellent location, near to a subway station line 1, several restaurants, farmacies and coffee shops. It's a very quiet neighborhood, first time I sleep in NYC without any sirens. My only concern are three, it could have been cleaner. Especially the main bedroom shades, bathroom courtains and second bedroom bed sheets, we had to buy new ones and kitchen (the garbage can was full). The second bedroom window needs a courtain or shade. We didn't have a problem with the fact that Mike has a dog, but leaving the dog bed in the bedroom, and the plates with food and water... Was not cool. I will definitely stay there again.
Jun 27, 2019We were delighted with the apartment on riverside drive! The apt is in a quiet neighborhood, right across from riverside park, but 2 blocks from Broadway with tons of choices for dining. Mike is an excellent host.. He met me in the lobby and gave me a tour of the apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped for guests if they chose to cook. The towels were new and mike had extras set out for us. The photos are accurate. The apartment was very warm and when we contacted mike he responded immediately although in the building individual apartments do not control the temperature. We will definitely return to Mikes apartment again.
Jun 27, 2019Mike's apartment is good, near the park next to the river, walk to the subway station for 15 minutes. Accommodation suitable for family travel. Second bedroom, kitchen and living room have no curtains. And it could have been cleaner. Mike is very nice. On arrival that day, we arrived at midnight, and Mike had been waiting for us.

Jun 27, 2019Mike is a great host. His location is perfect quiet safe neighborhood. Park right across the street. Large rental space for the price. It is and old apt with great character. Would have liked it to be a little cleaner. But Mike was very accommodating in getting the things we needed to get it the way we perfected. Excellent stay would stay again if I come to NY. Highly recommend it.

Jun 27, 2019This is the best value on the Upper West Side and he allowed a dog! however this is a Man-Cave even though on Riverside Drive. Cleanliness is a problem. The cleaning lady cleans with Dupont- bomb it with deodorants and the rest of it looks great to any man. Women however see neglect. MY son said it right "We saw it as a little dingy, but dad recalled his graduate school days and it was fine". Come on 96th and Riverside drive, a great bike available in the living room, huge rooms with TV and ELEVATOR and you get to take your animal along. True he could have put brighter bulbs in the lights and fixed the furniture but this was a week stay and not meant to supply all needs for everyone. My advice to Mike is the raise the price and expect complaints but for now yu get what you see.

Jun 27, 2019Mike is a great host with a super spacious and homey apartment. The location is just awesome and the accommodations are well set up: perfect for us with two small children, room to move inside and parks (including great playgrounds) and shops steps away outside. We had a few maintenance issues but Mike was quick at working on them and will surely find solutions before he rents out again. If you are expecting something pristine and show-roomy, take a pass, but if you want to pretend to be a local and to have lived in the upper west side your whole life, this is it!
Jun 27, 2019Mike's apartment is in a nice building right across the street from Riverside park. There is a very nice playground there that our children really enjoyed. The apartment is very accessible to the subway and Ubers are plentiful in the area. Many good grocery stores in walking distance. The apartment itself is very spacious and has a nice feel to it. The only downside was that there is really is no place to put your things except to keep them in the suitcases, as the dressers and closets are full. The kitchen could be better equipped and organized, but we were still able to manage to cook our meals there. Mike was very courteous and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to NYC. Great value and location!

Great space with excellent functionality. The apartment is located near the subway being serviced by the express line. I'll be back for sure.

Jun 27, 2019Favorite part was that it was only 2-3 stops away from Times Square. Loved the apt, big enough for a family of 5, nice and cozy. Host did an awesome job making sure we were comfortable. Price was outstanding. Only downfall was that one of the beds was a tad uncomfortable. Other than that, loved everything else about the place and location

Jun 27, 2019Mike was a great host! He went above and beyond in accommodating my friend and I and even offered us an earlier check-in. I had also been hit with jet lag super hard and got sick and was super tired. Mike was kind enough to let me sleep in past normal check-in. The place was clean, there were plenty of entertainment options such as Apple TV and cable. It was nice and warm, beds comfy. Very close to the train. Mike is available and very communicative. I will definitely stay again when I'm in NY next time. Highly recommend.

The place is far bigger than what's shown in the photo and his response to my questions were on point! Really enjoyed this place and I hope anyone who's going will have an awesome time!

The location is also great - super near public transport and an easy walk to Central Park, with plenty of shops and restaurants close by. Mike was also very helpful with any questions we had. Overall a very enjoyable stay - would recommend!!

Jun 27, 2019El lugar fue asombroso, bastante limpio. La zona dónde se ubica el apartamento es muy residencial sin embargo esta muy cerca al metro (2 bloques), tiene restaurantes y bares cerca y en promedio está a 10 min de Times Square.

Jun 27, 2019Mike’s home was very nice and in a great location. We were able to grab the 96 train and ride to everywhere we needed to go in Manhattan and in Brooklyn. There is a beautiful park right across the street or if you walk about 15mins E on 96th. you’ll reach Central Park. Mike was a great host. He was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. He also gave us great restaurant recommendations. It was very nice coming back to such a cozy home after long days of sightseeing. We would happily stay again.

The apartment is located in a great neighbourhood, only a few blocks from the subway and Central Park. It is very spacious and the pictures do not do it justice. I would definitely stay here again!
Jun 27, 2019El departamento es más grande de lo que se ve en las fotos, y tiene todo lo necesario para una estancia agradable, cocinar, etc. el edificio tambien cuenta con lavadero en el sotano. La ubicación es excelente, frente al edificio hay un parque de juegos para niños, a dos cuadras un CVS abierto 24hs (aunque es mas conveniente pedir por Amazon now), en esa misma cuadra hay una pizzería italiana con una pizza riquísima. El subte al downtown está a 3 cuadras y el colectivo también para cerca. La zona es muy tranquila de noche, y los vecinos son muy amables. Mike es muy amable y se ocupó siempre de chequear que estuviésemos a gusto, nos recibió su hijo Gene a las 2am por una complicación que tuvimos con nuestro vuelo, y nos permitió dejar el departamento al mediodía. Nos encantó el lugar y volveríamos sin dudarlo! es 100% recomendable! Gracias por todo Mike!

Jun 27, 2019Excelent location. 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms isnt easy to find. It is a great place with an wonderful location. Very near subway station. Everything was working properly. There are AC in every room, which is very important in summer. I would definitely come back again.

Jun 27, 2019Die Wohnung hat zwei Schlafzimmer, zwei Badezimmer, ein großes Wohnzimmer und eine große Küche mit Mikrowelle etc., Klimaanlage, exzellente Lage im Upper West. Sehr ruhig, dunkel, wenig Platz für Klamotten in den Schränken und Schubladen. Im Großen und Ganzen eine empfehlenswerte Wohnung. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
