We stayed in Francesco's apartment for 20 days in August with my colleague during Olympic Games 2016 in Rio. I still feel that we were really lucky to stay at his place because: - great apartment, very cozy, comfortable and clean, with enough space for two people to live and have rest together or separated, independent bathrooms and bedrooms - good neighborhood - just 6 mins from Copacabana and at the same time out of touristic crowds and noise, quite family building - in addition in the same building we found local supermarket where from the early morning you can buy fresh baked bread, croissants, orange juice and whatever - Francesco was always in touch with us in case of questions, fast in replies and speaking fluent English which is important in Brazil) - Francesco recommended us interesting places around and surfing instructor which made our staying much better - of course, hammock forever) I definitely recommend staying here for other visitors of Rio :)
Jun 27, 2019Francesco's place is located between the most lively neighborhoods Ipanema and Copacabana which we liked the most. It is only couple minutes walk to Copacabana beach and around 5 min walk to Ipanema beach. We have stayed as 3 friends in his place during the Carnaval time and Francesco and his friend Pino were very helpful and responsive to our questions. The house was very clean and stylish, and bright during daytime. They were also very flexible with the check out time which helped us too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to see Rio south zone.
