I booked the room for my relatives, they are satisfied with the accommodation.Sven is very nice and helpful. The kitchen and bathroom are fully furnished & the wifi is strong. I highly recommend this place if you are going to spend a few days in HK.
Jun 27, 2019Staying at Sven's was lovely and convenient. The apartment is tucked away on a hill side and very close to city life as well. I could easily get to the bus or train station in 5 minutes. The apartment has all the amenities you could need and Sven was more than helpful during my stay. I'd highly recommend a stay.

Jun 27, 2019Sven is a great guy who helped make my stay in Hong Kong comfortable and easy. The location of the flat is great, 2 minutes walk to the plaza and 5minute taxi or bus to Sha Tin racecourse. It really couldn't have worked out better.
Jul 27, 2019Sven is a wonderfully welcoming, helpful and friendly host. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It is located very conveniently next to Sha Tin MTR station and has excellent bus connections. I had a fantastic stay and would not hesitate to recommend it.
Jun 27, 2019The room is on a wooded hillside right above the transit center at Shatin; it's cozy, well-furnished, and clean. Sven is a super attentive and responsive host who was helpful at every step of the way, including when some maintenance had to be done in the bathroom. He's also fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, so communication is extra easy.

Jun 27, 2019Staying with Sven was a really pleasant and relaxing experience. His place is a rare vintage duplex and it's very accommodating. Bathroom was impeccable, friendly environment and very comfortable room. The location is less than 5 mins walk from Shatin MTR station next to the slope, which is a great escape from the busy concrete city. The house is well renovated and fully equipped with high end amenities. Sven said more enhancement work will be done this year, so I'm definitely looking forward to my next stay. Sven is super friendly and instantly replies my messages. Overall, the experience was superb and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Sven and I have become friends and he is a great host. Thank you for giving me a brilliant first impression of Airbnb.
Jun 27, 2019Sven made me feel very welcome!!! He was very accommodating with what time to meet up! His place was nicely renovated, new furnitures, linens, and extremely close to transit and shopping! You have to take some stairs to access the duplex, but its excellent exercise and I even feel healthier. I would definitely stay in Sven's first class duplex and recommend others to try it out! I found Sven to be a very open-heart, approachable, courteous and flexible host. He is an awesome guy and made all the stress around this sudden stay much easier and hassle free. Thanks Sven!!! Jun 27, 2019Sven was a great host! He gave us recommendations regarding restaurants, night life and interesting places and responded quickly when we had any questions. The room was clean, comfortable and conveniently located right next to Shatin MTR station. It’s a rare village house located on the slopes hidden from the busy streets of Hong Kong, but only steps away from one of the largest shopping malls in the city. It’s a perfect balance of exploring the city of HK and hiking the trails around the area. Thank you Sven for a beautiful memory and unforgetable experience. Sven and his dog are warm and welcoming, it definitely feels like a home away from home and he vacuums and cleans the house on a daily basis too. A generous cross over of modern and vintage design. He is very warm and outgoing and even shared his future upgrades for the duplex. Sven has a great passion in hosting. His house will show you a secluded facet of this vital city and HK is a small place after all, so those who love night life of the city won't be affected. Jun 27, 2019Highly recommended! Great location, minutes walk to shatin mtr and bus terminals.Taxi stands at the food of the village.Everything is really close and convenient. Sven was absolutely an awesome host. Warm welcome from him and his Labrador puppy. Sven's place was very clean, cosy, modern equipped with everything you need. The room is newly renovated and the pictures does not do justice. I will definitely recommend all my frjends and family to stay at his place. You won't be disappointed. Thanks again Sven!!! Jun 27, 2019Incredible stay. Im new to Airbnb and Sven made me feel like I'm meeting a long lost friend. His room is clean, equipped with all sorts of amenities and nicely renovated. Sven's puppy is also very welcoming and well behaved. Sven's place is truly a hidden gem in HK. Strongly recommended and will stay at his place again.
Jun 27, 2019Sven and kathy they really helped me a lot. They even helped me open the shower heater one day that I will arrive home very late. For the room is quite clean and comfort, it is perfect for one residence. U will have ur own bathroom, which is very convince. The bed is very cozy and warm. For the transportation, it will take u 5-8 minutes to walk to the Shatian subway station, where u could take the MTR. Also there is a supermall and many restaurants around this area.
Jun 27, 2019Very nice room in an oase of calme close to the Shatin metro station. 35 m'n from the airport by bus. A good compromise to visit Hong Kong. Cheaper than the main island. The temple at walking distance is worth a visit. You might see monkeys on your way....

Jun 27, 2019Sven and his girlfriend are so kind and sweet. They took care of me like family and friends and gave me a lot of information so I could learn about Hong Kong. The house is also very clean, comfortable and pleasant. I had a very good air conditioning, humidifier and bathroom heating, and it was so good that I was able to use it whenever I wanted. I had originally intended to stay for three days, but their house was so good and lovely that I decided to stay for another three weeks. I would have wanted to stay longer if it was not just a business trip to China. I strongly recommend this house to those who come to Hong Kong.

Sven was always available, always responded directly to my concerns. I have never felt like a tenant more like a fixed roommate. I had a very good time with Sven and the incredibly funny dog Zonda. When I had questions or trouble, He always answered my questions via mail as soon as possible he could or support me to solve my trouble. The house is really convenient for the station and shopping malls, so that I could get anything I wanted to buy. Also it was good exercise for me to go up to stairs.

Jun 27, 2019Sven was an absolutely fantastic host. He was very sweet and welcoming upon my arrival. The room was clean, well furnished and equipped with all the essentials. Sven even gave me a SIM card to use for free! The bathroom was private and clean. Sven always clean the house and make sure everything is sanitised. After a long day, being comfy in the AIR room was ideal. Definitely the best experience I’ve had so far. Look forward coming again. Thanks Sven!
Jun 27, 2019Sven and his partner are very nice, friendly and warm-hearted. They are always ready to help you. The room is fantastic, very clean with good facilities. It's near Sha tin Station (no more than 5 mins walk I think, there is a path through stores) and big plaza. It's very convenient to go shopping and go to anywhere. Living here is a very cost-effective choice. 非常棒的房间,非常好的房东,房间干净整洁设施齐全｡来之前听说在半山腰上以为需要爬山,但其实就一小段台阶,而且周围环境也挺小清新的,很有意思｡离商业区也很近,不管是在附近逛逛还是去地铁站坐地铁都非常方便｡总而言之,居住体验很好,住这里性价比很高｡
Jun 27, 2019It is great to stay in a village house in urban Hong Kong, especially in a jam packed place like Sha Tin. It gives a feeling of being in an older time in HK. If you wish to be in Sha Tin area, I think this is a great place to lodge. Gentle reminder: For people with weak knees, there is a very short climb to the house.
Jun 27, 2019This place is very central and close to public transport, ideal if you need to go to CUHK. It is up on a mountain that you need to climb through stairs (about 5 minutes or so). Sven was a very considerate and friendly host. When my flight time was changed from the evening to the next morning, he let me stay at his place until I had to leave for the airport early in the morning at no extra cost. The flat was clean. Be aware that the bathroom fan of another bathroom in this flat connects to the bathroom of this bedroom, so when it is on it can be quite loud. Overall, I had a pleasant stay here.
Jun 27, 2019Sven was an extraordinary host. He exceeded my expectations in everyway. First, he helped me settle down by teaching me where and how to setup mobile phone cards and bank accounts. Secondly, he helped me setup a mailing address, so I can receive packages form overseas. Thirdly, he introduced his friends and other guests to me and occasionally made some outings, so we can all have fun, such as dinner plans and celebrated my birthday with other guests. Sven definitely made me feel like a family member and I was grateful to have booked his place. After a long day at school, his dog Zonda would give me a warm hug to welcome me home. I would highly recommend Sven's place to everyone; especially if you are a student. His place is 2 stations from CUHK and the walk to his duplex is excellent exercise and only a short 5min walk. Thank you Sven ^^ and I look forward spending my remaining school years at your place =)
Jun 27, 2019Sven’s place is a village house located on the slopes about 5-10mins from Shatin MTR station. It’s conveniently located next to the malls, bus terminals, Taxi stands and mini buses that goes to Sai Kung, CUHK, Race course and Science Park. You need to walk some stairs to his place, but the view and feel pays off! It was a short notice booking at Sven’s, but he was super quick in response and provided all the essentials in meeting him. The room is nicely furnished with its private bathroom outside the room. Windows were big and bright. Sven prepared everything for me such as hot water for shower, towels, water and even turned the air conditioner on prior to my arrival. I felt spoiled and was mind blown by how much he offered during my stay. The cost relative to the experience you get is unparalleled. I would definitely come and stay with Sven again. Definitely recommend to everyone!

Jun 27, 2019Sven was very welcoming and generous and included me in everything he could. The apartment was a short walk from the train station, bus stop and a large shopping mall. The room was clean and tidy with an ensuite and had a nice view. I would highly recommend staying here as it is very convenient and in a lovely location to explore Hong Kong.

Jul 27, 2019Sven is a considerate landlord. The room is spacious (in the HongKong standard) and very clean. Hidden in Paitau Village and facing Shatin Grand Central Plaza, the apartment has a nice view from the balcony and is essentially noise-free (also in the Hong Kong standard). I visited Hong Kong several times, and this is the best place I have ever stayed. 5 stars!
