Very cozy on the first floor and quiet. Plenty of Resturaunts, bars, grocery stores, laundry mats, gyms just blocks away. Astoria has some of the best resturaunts, *Trains is right near the city 4 stops from Midtown, only blocks away from the apt. I have 2 different subways stations . The running lines by my apt are R,M,E,N & Q Train. Train stops STEINWAY and 30 ave. *AppleTV & Wifi *Microwave, toaster oven, Blender all your cooking needs. *A.C. units. Living room and bedroom *IPOD connector to play your tunes *PS3 to play games also plays DVD & blu ray discs *I have an inflatable QUEEN size mattress for extra guests and or my couch is very wide for a single person very comfortable. every room has Mood lighting and kitchen to Dimmers in every rooms. also a ceiling fan in kitch

The apartment very accurately met the description provided on Air BNB. Not just cozy and spacious but also very clean, accessible and in a GREAT part of Astoria. Leo Mizrahi was incredibly kind and accommodating. Without a doubt, the best person I have dealt with on Air BNB. I would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in New York for more than a few days.
Jun 27, 2019This apartment is not glamorous and Astoria is an area of New York little visited by tourists. But Leo was a very friendly, helpful host, the place was comfortable and clean and we really liked Astoria - a place where people really live, with real shops and great supermarkets and cafes.

Location was close to wonderful restaurants and a grocer around the corner. Because my flight came in early, Leo made arrangements for an early check-in. If we needed anything we knew we could call Leo. Looking forward to returning to NY. Thanks Leo!!!
Jun 27, 2019If you are looking for a charming non-hotel environment in which to stay near NYC, consider Leo's apartment. Convenient to the subway (four blocks away), shopping (Key Foods is one block away), with numerous restaurants and shops everywhere in the neighborhood, but yet very quiet inside, it was the perfect place for our NYC stay. To cut down on our expenses, we were able to cook our dinners using Leo's kitchen equipment. In fact we kind of became like true New Yorkers taking the subway home from the city in the evening, hitting Key Foods for groceries and not sitting down to eat until 8-9pm! Anyway, Leo keeps a lovely and immaculate apartment, one I would most definitely rent again.

Jun 27, 2019We spent the Labor Day weekend at Leo's place. We got late in Astoria because of traffic but he accommodated us and made sure we were all settled. We arranged a late check out which saved us some hassle. The place is in the mids of everything. It's was very clean and cute! Leo was a great host and I would rent his apartment again!
Jun 27, 2019Leo was very nice and hospitable. The apt is very well kept and clean. Leo left clean towels and sheets, a hair dryer, blankets. The apt has air conditioner, tv with cable + teevo, playstation to watch movies. it is near the heart of Astoria, it is a very safe area and served by the metro, so it is very easy to get to Manhattan. I def suggest this place to anybody who wants to stay in NY comfortably.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment was excellent. Lots of room. Well maintained and clean. Quiet. Everything worked well. Leo was very flexible regarding check-in and check-out. Astoria is a great neighbourhood to stay in. Lots of resources locally, and easy to get into Manhattan.
Jun 27, 2019We were scheduled to arrive in NYC on the day of the Superstorm, and Leo was very flexible in allowing us to change our arrival and departure dates. He also made a tremendous effort, in very difficult circumstances, to get the apartment ready, despite power outages and transportation difficulties. During our stay he was available by phone to answer questions and get help as needed. The location is convenient, with lots of stores nearby; the apartment was clean, comfortable and very suited to our needs (even having 2 friends come to visit). The kitchen was well supplied for cooking and preparing meals. Overall it was a good place for us to stay, even in the midst of the aftermath of the storm!

The area was great....within blocks from dry cleaning, supermarket, gym, restaurants, night life. Great area, great location!!! The apartment was quiet and cozy. I certainly enjoyed my stay there.

Jun 27, 2019I recently stayed at Leo's apartment, and recommend the experience. Leo was courteous and responsive via text when I had questions during my stay. The apartment is quiet (on the back of the building) and has all the basic necessities. The Astoria location is very convenient to New York Sports Club, supermarkets, restaurants and a short walk to subway.
Jun 27, 2019Leo's place is very comfortable, and I enjoyed staying there. It's in a great location, close to everything on 30th Ave. Only thing is that he does not have a well stocked kitchen. So if you are staying for a long time and want to cook meals, it might not be the place for you. There are so many great places to eat nearby, so most likely this will not be a problem. It's a good thing I asked Leo in advance if he has a coffee maker, because he does not. Fortunately, I have a little drip thing that goes over the cup, which is easy to take with me. Otherwise there are lots of places close by to get coffee (I just like to have mine first thing in the morning). Leo was very nice and helpful. He communicated with me via text, and replied very promptly to my questions. So, yes, I would recommend staying there.
Jun 27, 2019Very stylish apartment (awesome chandiler) and excellent location. It was an easy walk to all the local bars. Our stay was super comfortable and Leo was an excellent host and very hepful. A true NewYork experience, I definitely recommend staying here!

Jun 27, 2019Astoria is fantastic if you want to see how New Yorkers live. The apartment was very close to a number of subway lines taking you to manhattan or to JfK, very convenient. Leo was a perfect host, has thought of every detail, courteous and made an effort to keep in touch leading up to our stay. The apartment is a decent size for New York and had everything we needed for our 10 day stay. The description listed is precise and and other reviews left are accurate. My wife and I would stay again.

Jun 27, 2019This was my first Airbnb experience and it was GREAT! Leo was out of town but he answered really fast all txt and e-mails, gave us clear explanations, was helpful and cared if everything was OK. He replied my first inquiry in 30 minutes (other people took 8 days to reply!). The apartment was clean, cozy, with this funky decoration we loved, and it was very quiet (no noise from street or neighbors). It’s exactly as in the pictures but a little bit bigger. Clean sheets and tons of towels, comfy bed, super-comfy couch. Very conveniently located, close to 2 subway stations. Safe neighborhood. Astoria is a great area, very lively and authentic (not a touristic spot), a real ethnic melting pot!. People seem to know each other on the streets and stores, like in old time neighborhoods. My recommendation is go towards north 30th Ave instead of Steinway St. 30th Ave has more cafes, restaurants, bakeries, fruit and vegetable stores, flower stores, etc. I think Astoria has a lot of things to explore. Great place to sense how other real newyorkers (not just manhattanites) live everyday life. Though it’s close to Manhattan, it’s a peace oasis compared with the craziness and fast speed of Manhattan. Good place to chill out! Overall a great experience! I highly recommend Leo, his apartment and Astoria. I will definitely repeat!

Jun 27, 2019A host with quick and flexible responses. Nice place but the light is quite dark in all rooms. Sometimes it didnt work well and I had to use his candles. Other things are perfect. He has clear rules, instructions, house stuffs even for whom who need to cook in the kitchen. The place is about 10 mins walk from subway.
Jun 27, 2019Leo's apartment is perfect for a NYC visitor. It's a quiet, hip retreat in a bustling, diverse and gentrifying neighborhood. It's close to two busy subway lines that take you downtown quickly. Highly recommended and I'd love to return one day.

The apartment was clean and prepped upon arrival and the neighborhood is fab. So many great restaurants and bars along 30th Ave. A good Airbnb experience!

Jun 27, 2019My stay at Leo's place was amazing... Firstly, i wasn't disappointed at all it looked like pictures and everything that i needed was here. The neighborhood is great with shops and plenty of restaurants. There are subway stations that i could take easily to Manhattan (which is very close)... Besides, i could reach Leo easily and he helped me when i needed to. I would recommand this place to everyone who want to visit New York!

He welcomed my husband at the arrival while he was cleaning and preparing the super cute (Website hidden by Airbnb) is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Astoria right off 30th avenue, where we could find lots of restaurants and bars as well as 7 minutes from the subway station!!!

Jun 27, 2019We had a pleasant stay at Leo's apt.Very responsive even he was out of town.Its a nice and safe neighborhood.Close to 30 Av train station, 7 min.walk or you cant take Q18 bus 50m from ap.to the train station if you have a metro card unlimited.Lots of restaurants in the area.20 min.to manhattan with N or Q train.i saw that people say about low light in the (Website hidden by Airbnb) a tiny little dimmer near switch.We recomend Leo's apt.
Jun 27, 2019Leo was absolutely fantastic. Super helpful and really friendly! His place was awesome, the only downside is that we had to leave (wanna trade homes Leo?) The area is really fun, lots of great bars and diners, and it's super easy to get into the city.
Jun 27, 2019Leo war ein super Gastgeber -obwohl wir ihn nie gesehen haben war er jederzeit erreichbar für uns!die Wohnung ist perfekt für einen städtetrip nach New York!in ca 20 min ist man mitten in Manhattan.direkt um die Ecke sind viele Bars, Restaurants und Möglichkeiten zum einkaufen. Die Wohnung selbst sieht genauso aus wie auf den Bildern! Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohlgefühlt!
Jun 27, 2019Astoria was wonderful. I've had never stayed in Queens while in NYC, but will be sure to visit/stay more often because of its serious old school charm. The apt was just what we needed for Gov Ball. Close to food, shops and metro lines. The place was clean and we found everything we needed.
Jun 27, 2019Leo is great! We had last minute extra guests and Leo was very accommodating to our needs and got us an extra items for us. We arrived a little earlier than expected so he was able to give us a quick tour of the apartment. He is very quick to answer texts when you need something.

Jun 27, 2019Great apt in a perfect location - Astoria is a great place to eat and drink...very easy transportation to city (various subway lines very close by). 10-15 minutes to midtown Manhattan. Leo set everything up perfectly, and check in/out was a breeze. Communication was great as well. Cozy yet modern apartment right up the block from all the new (and old) restaurants and bars...would definitely stay again.
