Jun 27, 2019I was allocated to a different studio along Nathan Road so this review is more accurate on another listing. Large enough space for 2 persons by HK standards if you're primarily using it as a spot to rest for the night. Rooms (living, bedroom, toilet) are clean and come well equipped. David was very helpful and patient despite my check-in hiccups on the first day (I was late and almost got myself locked in!). Location is convenient (next to HK Post Office) but may not be very suitable for a single female traveller or light sleepers.

Jun 27, 2019집주인인 데이빗은 매우 밝고 적극적이며 많은 정보를 주기 위해 노력하는 호스트입니다. 언제나 빠르게 답신을 주고 최대한 편리하게 머무를 수 있도록 해주었습니다. 숙소 주변에 맛있는 식당이 많아서 식사를 위해 집으로 다시 돌아와야 할 경우도 있었습니다. 그리고 5분거리에 재래시장이 있어서 맛있고 신선한 과일을 많이 먹을 수 있어서 행복했습니다. 팀호완 올림픽역 본점이나 여인가나 신발거리는 걸어서 15분거리에 있고 템플스트릿 야시장은 걸어서 7분정도 걸립니다. 다만 에어컨의 소리가 커서 밤에 잠을 자는데 방해가 되었습니다. 그 점만 고쳐진다면 전혀 불편함이 없었던 숙소로 기억에 남을 것 같습니다.
Jun 27, 2019Overall it's good. But the location not exactly in Jordan and heart of Kowloon, it's quite far from Jordan. It's near Austin Station more, just 5 mins walk to Austin Station and 15 mins walk to Kowloon station/ Elements. The host and the domestic help is nice, native English speaker. But, the television doesn't work, I don't know why, I couldn't fixed it. There are basic kitchen equipments for you to cook, I really like this :) Besides, there are 2 bottle of shampoo and conditioner, no shower gel, maybe you have to check it carefully next time.

Met me and let me in right as I arrived to the destination from the airport a little past 11pm. He lives outside the city, so it was nice of him and his partner to come by so late to help see me in. Gave me a great orientation. Showed me the Fodors travel book they have. I could've talked to them all night. THE PLACE Dave kept saying the place was small, but big for Hong Kong, but honestly, for me as an American, I thought the space was perfect. In fact, more than I needed. The place is a 1bd 1bath. And actually with a sofa in the living room and a bunk bed, you could fit 2 people comfortably here and 3 people if you were on a budget. I actually spent most nights passing out on the sofa because I was so tired ... very nice, and long enough for my 5'10"/178cm body! The sofa is also great for relaxing if you're traveling as a couple. Spacious, and you can pop in a DVD or connect your laptop w/ HDMI adapter and watch a movie. The place itself was very well decorated and furnished. Iron, hangers, small fridge, cups, utensils, TV, can openers (I bought a lot of canned goods and beans from the grocery store several blocks toward jordan), 2 a/c units, and a little glass table that was a bit odd, but good enough for me to do work on my laptop with. LOCATION Location-wise, it's right in Kowloon on Nathan Road, so plenty of stores within the immediate area: 7-11, McDonalds (best deal ever: 23hkd for a chicken meal), athletic wear, a Mannings (cosmetics and sunscreen), the Temple Street market, and more. About 5 minutes walk away from Yau Ma Tei, exit C. About (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes walk from Ladies Market. There was a lot of people-traffic on Nathan Road and those times reflect that. VALUE I got this place for a good price. Much better value than a hotel and far more utility and space than a hostel/inn. Even if you don't like this place, Dave has plenty of other good spots in Kowloon.
Jun 27, 2019The studio is just as advertised- Clean, convenience, and good value. I was greeted by Dave who is a very accommodating host. Even though I'm already quite familiar with the area, he nonetheless introduce me to all the amenities available, and ways to get around town that's the most convenient. The studio is also clean and tidy, I can't remember not having a good night of sleep for the 5 weeks I spent in that studio. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is staying on the Kowloon side and wanted to visit the Hong Kong that's not always in the tour book.

Jun 27, 2019Dave was a fantastic host. I was running way past the time that I was originally scheduled to meet with him, but he still helped me get in and provided precise instructions on how to gain entry. Information on the local area was provided and was very helpful. Place was as described.
Jun 27, 2019If I'm honest, this Air BnB suite wasn't good. The size was fine - it's Hong Kong, after all! But the sheets and bedding weren't clean, the mattress was stained. There was someone else's hair on the sheets and pillows, and the bedding seemed old. Under the bed was atrociously dirty. Someone had forgotten to flush the toilet, such that when I arrived, there was stale urine in it, and the room smelled like urine. The ceiling was cracked with water damage, in a way that looked like there was still a moisture problem, and the light fixture as well as the shower fixture were both broken. The bathroom was grimy, and just kinda icky. What appeared to be someone else's blood was on the bathroom tiles, and in the tile grout. When I arrived, the deadbolt on the door was not working with the key; host said previous guests a few days ago had broken the lock. Only the flimsy door handle lock was working, which made me feel unsafe in the suite. Host offered to have the lock fixed, but phrased it in a way that made it clear he didn't want to have it fixed for me. I felt like a burden asking for something that I shouldn't have had to ask for. The shampoo was empty. Only a mop was provided (not a broom) and the room got progressively dustier all week (air conditioning just does this in HK) but I couldn't clean it up. Two bath towels provided, which was a little light, and no face cloths and no extra blanket. All in all, I wasn't happy with the suite. The price was good, and Dave seems to be a legitimately nice guy, but whoever he has cleaning the place is doing a bad job.

Dave & Allison are extremely kind, and helpful hosts, and were eager to answer any questions I had. I do hope to stay here anytime I visit Hong Kong. Thanks Dave and Allison!

Jun 27, 2019Located next to Austin MTR, this place is very central. In general, everything as described. Only small complain is the room is a division rooms (common in HK) in an apartment. Therefore, the ventilation is not the best. For short stay, it is more than acceptable. Again, Excellent location with a more than acceptable stay in an environment such as Hong Kong.

Jun 27, 2019It’s small and cozy. I was alone and it was perfect. Public transit is close and the neighborhood has lots of personality. It was clean. Had nothing to help with cooking so all that needed to be bought by me. Largest typhoon in Hong Kong history happened while I stayed there. I was safe. it was a good stay!

Jun 27, 2019First time when I arrived on down there, I take wrong elevator and press to 15 floor but it is 5floor and no.15 . Space small but everything fine. Tv remote control not work. DAVE so nice and so kind to help me take cooking stuff to me for cooking. Specially inside have adult sex oil for use :P......lol Finally there is good. Everything fine. No problem.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is really tiny, but it seems to be the standard in HK. Taking this into consideration, the place is good if you are planning to spend only the night in it after going around HK. The place is close to Austin and Jordar MTR, as well as Kawloon station which connects with the Express Train to the airport. There are a lot of restaurants and markets around. Also, it is relatively close to the ferry terminal which connects HK with Macau. In overall, it is a convenient place considering accomodation in HK is really expensive.
