Jun 27, 2019Alì è stato molto chiaro e preciso in tutte le informazioni prima di arrivare. La zona è caratteristica e movimentata, facile da raggiungere (dall'aeroporto ci vogliono 30 min), sulla via ci sono tutte le tipologie di botteghe per i vari souvenir e ricordi; c'è sempre qualcuno di turno ad accoglierti. La camera è posizionata benissimo, con vista sul bosforo: eccezionale svegliarsi all'alba! Non guasterebbe qualche comfort in più, ma è molto ben attrezzata e pulita. Lo staff è disponibile e cortese (un ringraziamento particolare a Gokhan!) Ve lo consiglio!
Jun 27, 2019Karakoy Aparts was great! The room was spacious and looked exactly like it does in the photos. The staff at reception were friendly and inviting. We loved the neighborhood too--located right across from the tram making it easy to get anywhere quickly. There are also lots of great cafes and restaurants close by! Highly recommend this place!

Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed our stay at Ali's penthouse appartment. It was righly located a few hundred meters from Galata Tower in the center of culturally intense Karakoy area. Beautiful view on Sultanamet and Bosphora detroit. Great location to cover the historic sites of Istanbul. Just a few meters from the tramway.
Jul 27, 2019We were unable to meet Ali; however, we had no issues getting checked into and out of our room. It is part of an apartment building with a 24-hour reception desk. They were very helpful in providing us everything we needed for our stay and even helped arrange our ride to the airport. Location is good--within walking distance of the sights on the south side of Istanbul as well as to the more active nightlight on the north side.
Jun 27, 2019L'hôtel est très bien situé à Istanbul, à un nœud de transports en commun : tramway, funiculaire, bateau. L'accès est donc aisé vers les quartiers historiques et également vers les quartiers modernes. La rue dans laquelle se situe l'hôtel monte jusqu'à la Tour de Galata et rejoint la place Taksim en passant par une grande artère commerçante. Il y a de nombreuses petites boutiques à proximité, des restaurants, et de la restauration rapide. Le quartier est très agréable. Notre appartement était situé au dernier étage et avait une vue magnifique sur la corne d'or, le Bosphore, le palais de Topkapi, Sainte Sophie et la tour de Galata. L'espace était suffisant pour 2 adultes et 3 enfants.

Jun 27, 2019Ali's penthouse private apartment boasts an amazing view and central location (few minutes walk away from Galata Tower, Istiklal for shopping, and the bars and restaurants lining the Bosphorus is this up and coming neighborhood). The old town with the main tourist sites is a short, inexpensive taxi or train ride away, and can even be done on foot. The staff were hospitable, friendly, and willing to lend a hand with pretty much anything, all without smothering us. My fiancée and I thoroughly enjoyed the space, and highly recommend the rental.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment has a great location, a beautiful view, and very friendly reception staff. Public transit is a short walk away, and there are numerous great restaurants nearby. The interior has very modern decor and was recently renovated, so everything looks brand new; the bathrooms looked especially good. The 24hr reception was helpful in dealing with afterhours requests.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is in an amazing location and we had an absolutely beautiful view of several mosques and even the Topkapi Palace at a distance. However, do not expect what the photos portray for the inside of the apartment. It is extremely outdated and needs a major renovation. The towels are very dingy and we had issues with the hot water not working in the shower. That being said, any issue we brought upon the front reception they were very responsive. In fact, the reason I am giving 3 stars is solely based upon how amazing the front staff was as they were considerate to the fact that we were three women traveling alone. They went out of the way to help us with even the smallest of tasks (thank you again for the birthday gift!) and we felt safe that there was a 24/7 reception. Also, you can't beat the location - it is walking distance to several cafes and shops. This apartment has a lot of potentials to be better regarding cleanliness and the outdated atmosphere. Since we were on the top floor the generator made a lot of noise which will bother light sleepers (such as my mom) but some soundproof windows can solve this issue! I would come back and stay in this apartment because of the location and the hospitable staff.
Jun 27, 2019Please note that this apartment is, in fact, part of a hotel, with a small cafe in the "lobby" and a front desk and most features that a small hotel or hostel would have. And it's a place with many excellent attributes. Let's start with the fact that the view from this room/suite is fantastic. I don't have a basis for comparison, but I was wary of hotel rooms that claimed a view because I didn't know how good the views were. The pictures on the listing are actual pictures from the room. I spent a lot of time just looking out the windows. Also positive was the attitude of the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. One man walked me to a nearby supermarket to show me, another started breakfast a bit early for me, and they were all responsive in every way. Breakfast is fantastic, given that this is a small hotel, not a big multi-star place. You get a large plate of cheese, bread, fruits, yogurt, a boiled egg, some meat, honey, butter, jam. There is also coffee and tea and cold cereal and so on. It's a simple place, but they do a very nice job on breakfast. The location is outstanding, too. It is at the bottom end of a steep tourist street very near the main bridge connecting the two old parts of Istanbul. You can walk to the Metro/tram in a few minutes and even walk across the bridge to the Hagia Sophia or Sultanahmet mosque (Blue Mosque). The Galata Tower is just a hundred meters or so just up the very steep street. I loved the place, other than the fact that the living room furniture was sparse and quite stained. The bathroom is very high quality, you get a fridge and a sink and a microwave, and the bedroom is very nice. I am planning to go to Istanbul again in the next few weeks and the only reason I wouldn't stay there is because I might want to try a different neighborhood next time.
Jun 27, 2019Perfect location with an amazing view. one thing to keep in mind was that because the location was so central there was quite a bit of noise from the road. This is only something to consider if you're a very light sleeper though, otherwise I couldn't recommend this place more.

We loved watching the activity on the Bosphorus and when it came to exploring the city it was easy to get to most places either on foot or by public transport. The bonus was being near the ferry to Kadiköy (Asian side) so we had access to the best of both worlds. Ali’s apartment was as it appears in the photos and while it could do with a more comfortable couch it really was a fabulous base in Karaköy. All the staff at the apart-hotel were friendly and helpful and we’d definitely recommend it.

Jun 27, 2019To get a glimp of the almighty Bosphurus we decided last minute to stay at Ali’s place. Actually it’s not a place where people live but A hotel. It surprised us when reaching out to the ‘room’. The location is great. The view over the Bosphurus is nice but not spectacular. Overall the stay was oke but there were minor issues. The lamp in the living room was not working, the door between living- and bedroom was not closing properly, the sewer smell from the airco was not nice and the difficulties to get grip of the water temprature when showering was annoying (too hot or too cold).

Jun 27, 2019This is not an independent apartment, but an apartment in a hotel. Good location, but too expensive for an one bedroom and one bathroom hotel room (two places on the sofa are counted in the number of beds). The welcome is good, but the description is not accurate.
