Neighborhood Overview
Plaza España neighborhood is an ideal area in Barcelona for several reasons. First, you are in a dynamic area with a mall next door and at the bottom of Montjuic hill with one of the largest museums in Barcelona. You can enjoy the show of the magic fountains very close to the apartment, an activity you don't want to miss during your stay in Barcelona. If you come for business, you are right next to the Fira who organizes some of the most important congresses in Europe. Finally, the area is well served by public transport, Aerobus, Metro lines, 4 stations from Plaza Cataluña, 3 from Las Ramblas.

I stayed at Loft Miro with my 6-year old daughter. We absolutely loved our stay. My top requirement, which was that the place was clean, was fully met. It is a very modern and new apartment. The furniture is good quality so the beds and the couch were very comfortable. I liked the fact that it has both a bath and a shower so I was able to give my daughter bubble baths upstairs and I took my showers downstairs. The WiFi was fast and the heating worked well (the temperature dropped in the evenings so this was handy). The place was decorated tastefully and was very tranquil, just as described. The location is also perfect. It is located just a 5 minute walk away from the Plaza Espana, where there is a modern shopping centre with good restaurants. It is close to 2 different subway lines (one just a block away and the other at the Plaza Espana), so there are plenty of options for getting around. The train station is also close by. There is a big park 1 minute away, which is great if you have children. And there is a supermarket, a good bakery/cafe, a 24-hour pharmacy and a little grocery shop open evenings and Sundays - all nearby. One thing that you cannot tell from the pictures or the description is where the apartment is located. It is on the ground floor, in a private area (almost like a courtyard) behind an apartment building. To get to it, you enter the building and then take a private, secured corridor behind the lift. There is only one other apartment in this private area and no apartments above, so it is extremely quiet, which is refreshing after a day of being in a big, noisy city. The only thing I recommend is that guests ask to be shown how to lock and unlock the doors to the apartment and the private corridor, as they can be a bit tricky. They are very secure but you just need to know the trick. Overall, the apartment was just perfect. I would definitely stay again.

Jun 27, 2019My friends and I stayed in Loft Miro for two nights in May 2015. The host, Ivan, met with us at the loft with the warmest welcome. He showed us around the loft and explained how everything worked (keys, wifi, bins, etc.), and also gave us loads of recommendations for nearby restaurants, bars and places to see. The location of the loft was just excellent. It was literally a two-minute walk from the metro station Tarragona, and about ten-minute walk from the train station. There were several cafes, grocery stores and 24-hour pharmacy nearby. The photos here on Airbnb have shown exactly what the loft looked like. It was an independent loft on the ground floor behind a big residential building, so it was super quiet both day and night during our stay. The loft and facilities inside were in great conditions, and the beddings and towels are nice and clean.

Jun 27, 2019Alain met us at the apartment; very friendly and knowledgeable, even helped us with a problem with the taxi driver we rode with from the airport. The apartment was clean, attractively decorated, with everything working. Had 2 nice sized bathrooms which was very helpful for us as we were traveling with our 2 boys (12 and 15). The one minor problem we had was taken care of promptly and efficiently while we were out sightseeing, The neighborhood was interesting - while not in the center of things, it was not in a tourist saturated neighborhood, and it was very near a central transportation hub and one of the city's best shopping malls. We had breakfast every morning at the same charming neighborhood cafe and after the second or third day, we were treated like regulars. All in all, we had a great time and would stay at Loft Miro again.
Jun 27, 2019I believe we were met by one of the host's agents. His name escapes me but he was extremely friendly and welcoming. He answered all of our questions and offered to help us in any way possible i.e. calling a taxi for the airport and translating conversations with locals over the phone if need be. He could not have been better or nicer. The apartment was true to the pictures posted. It was very nice and clean. It has a fantastic location just about 5-10 minute walk away from the metro. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

Le loft est exactement conforme aux photos, confortable, moderne, fonctionnel -les salles de bain et cuisine sont modernes et impeccables bonne literie, climatisé,très propre et surtout très calme.Seul bémol, pas de vue, mais un luxe à barcelone, très calme ! A proximité de 2 stations de métro: sants et tarragone, très pratique et à 5 mn des "arènes":centre commercial sur plusieurs étages ,avec un grand choix de restaurants à la terrasse au dernier étage et une vue panoramique sur la ville et les jeux d'eaux des fontaines , superbe. Jun 27, 2019The neighbourhood was nice and safe. It is close to restaurants and a shoppingcentre. The metro is around the corner. However it's not really in the centre of Barcelona, you always have to take the metro.The apartment was great. Everything was clean and it was well equipped. The WIFI worked very well. The contactperson was very kind, he explained us how Barcelona works en and he gave tips where it was expensive and where not. The apartment is perfect for four people, but for five it's rather small. There were plenty of cupboards for your clothes. I would certainly recommend this apartment to other people.
Jun 27, 2019The loft is exactly as pictured, it was bright and spacious enough for me and two of my friends. The place was clean and prepared for our arrival. We were met by one of the agents who made sure to give us all the information we needed, as well as great advice and help on cool things to do around the city. Any help we needed as well as any concerns were easily and quickly managed! The location was great too. Very close to Las Arenas mall and Montjuic, while transportation to the other main spots were quite easy. It was a great home base for us and we're definitely looking forward to being back.

Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed staying at Alain and Sylie's. We were greeted by Diego and another agent. They arrived very quickly after our phone call and gave us a detailed tour of the apartment, including information on local attractions, maps, etc. They answered some tourist questions we had. My husband is very tall (over 6ft) and struggled a bit with the ceiling height up in the loft. We ended up not using the upstairs shower, as the ceiling was quite low. This wasn't a problem, though, as the shower downstairs was just fine. We did run out of hot water one day, but I think that was because my daughter was washing her hair! The tank is in a cupboard on the deck, so it is easy to check the thermometer to see when it is hot again. :) I really appreciated the washer/dryer and the clothes drying rack. Keeping on top of the washing is a priority when taking an extended trip with children. The building felt safe and secure. We didn't see another tenant, but we did chat with someone from the cafe next door and they were very friendly and helpful. We heard some music each night around dinner time. Perhaps it was the dance studio next door?? But the music was never played too late. The loft is in a great location, near Sants station, the old bullfighting ring that has been turned into a mall, the Montjuic fountain. I recommend walking to the top of the stairs at Placa de les Cascades for the amazing view.

L'appartamento è esattamente come le foto, al piano terra nel retro di un palazzo. La posizione è comoda per poter accedere a tutta la città. Piazza di Spagna è a due passi e Parc Mirò proprio alla, uscita dal palazzo. Quartiere tranquillo e Piazza di Spagna offre molti posti per cenare. Appartamento ottimamente fornito per il soggiorno.

Jun 27, 2019Very close to the train station,10 minutes walking to the the loft which is behind a apartment building, but really easy to find. Two young guys welcomed us and took their patients to teach us how to open the door. Once you learned the skill you will find it's not like the other tenants said that tricky. The interior is quite new , clean and in a modern style. We pretty much like the furniture and painting colour. The pillow and quilts are really comfortable. Only the upstairs bathroom is a little small for a man, and since it's a loft the sound-proof is a bit weak. If you just need a good location and reasonable price its definitely a good choice.

Jun 27, 2019El loft es tal y como se muestra en las imágenes. Está bien situado. Una boca de metro justo al lado.Es acogedor a la vez que moderno. Está muy bien decorado. Las camas son muy cómodas y los 2 baños muy bien. En general está limpio y ordenado. La cocina es pequeña, pero para hacer desayunos o algo rápido es suficiente. La wifi funciona bien. El único problema que tuvimos es que había quedado con Alain en que el dia de ida nos marchábamos a las 3 de la tarde, y el mismo dia de ida a las 7 de la mañana recibimos un mensaje de que teníamos que dejar el apartamento a las 11.30 horas. Esto nos causó un gran perjuicio ya que nos trastocó todos los planes del último día. Deberían haber avisado antes. En general recomendable para una visita a la ciudad.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment was really nice and modern, beds were pretty comfortable but the couch was a little stiff and not suitable seating for 4 people to watch the TV together if they wanted to. But overall it was great! Ivan was super friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend!
Jun 27, 2019We like the apartment, Santiago was very helpful, gave us information, on how to get around in Barcelona. Train station is near the apartment walking distance restaurants, supermarkets. But we had one inconvenience the light brakers went down and most of the house didn't had no electricity for couple of hours, until Santiago, send someone to fix it.

Jun 27, 2019Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern, sowie die Schlüsselübergabe hat problemlos geklappt. Die Unterkunft sieht so wie auf den Fotos aus und bietet jeglichen Konform. Einziges Manko: im Hauptraum (und somit auch im oberen Schlafzimmer) gibt es keine Heizung, kann bei kälteren Wetter etwas ungemühtlicher werden. Allerdings gibt es einen kleinen portablen Heizstrahler in der Wohnung den man im Notfall dafür verwenden kann.

The apartment was just as pictured and very clean. we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Jun 27, 2019This is a beautiful clean unit that is exactly as pictured. It is a little bit of a walk from the city center / ramblas area, but we like to walk and walked everywhere. The host was very helpful and communication with them was easy and great. The host also arranged our early morning cab pickup to the airport which was very helpful. The listing does say that the unit has a washer/dryer, and I did not see one. Maybe there is one in the building...I did not check, but I did not see one in the unit itself.

Tony very quickly got in contact to arrange meeting us at the flat, and even though he fell off his bike on the way to us he made sure he got to us as quickly as he could! The flat was exactly like it looked in the photos, a perfect modern place for a long weekend away!

The location is also a bonus - as it is a very short walk from the metro. Our host was helpful - both upon arrival and when we took off. Much prefer this to a hotel room - when travelling with children.
Jun 27, 2019Très bel appartement, conforme aux photos du site. Quartier calme et agréable proche du musée national d'art, du village espagnol, de la fondation Miro et du Montjuïc. (possibilité de faire tout cela à pieds). Il y a également 2 stations de métro proche de l'appartement donc, pas de problème pour se déplacer. Nous avons tout fait à pieds et en métro! Bon accueil et bonne réactivité dans les communications (mail, sms...) Je recommande cette appartement avec plaisir, nous avons passé 5 jours à 6 personnes. Il y a aussi un parking souterrain pour garer la voiture à proximité ( nous avons payé 50€ pour les 5 jours pendant le mois de juillet !)

Jun 27, 2019Ivan, il loro agente ci ha accolto molto bene, spiegandoci tutto dell'appartamento e dandoci indicazioni su come raggiungere il centro e altri punti di interesse. l appartamento è bello così come lo si vede in foto, siamo stati in 5 e avere due bagni è stato davvero molto comodo! Tutto pulito e pronto all'arrivo, con asciugamani già piegati sui letti, sembrava di essere in hotel! Lo consiglio molto!
Jun 27, 2019Very nice stay at Miro' Loft. The place was nice and very clean. From there it's easy to reach the heart of the city. The agent came late to the check-in as he was busy with other customers, but didn't charge us for the late check-in. Much appreciated as we arrived ourself after 21h.

Also near to La Arenas - one of the larger modern shopping malls in Barcelona with a very well stocked supermarket. Highly recommended for a family visit.

Jun 27, 2019Tudo foi bom. O único senão foi a água quente dos chuveiros. Super pontuais na chegada , ajudando inclusive com táxi . Local super limpo e espaçoso . Localização muito boa . Não é colado as principais atrações , mas é perto. Alem disto, e muito importante , metrô pertissimo. Silencioso e com boas opções para jantar perto.

You can easy to find the apartment from the Sants station. And it have supermarket & convenience store just downstair, you can easy to buy drinks & food. This aparment is really a good choice when you are in Barcelona.
Jun 27, 2019This is a very good place to stay , I come to Barcelona with my family, 3 old ladies and 3 young teenaged. The location is really good, easy to get to great tourist place, and only 5 mins to metro station! 10/15 mins to train station, 15/20 to airport !! The house is very clean; with all the stuff we need for cooking, we cook four times !! Very nice place to stay . The only one thing to pick is the air circulation, but that might because of we, as Asian, don't get used to warmer . They are very helpful and friendly !Overall , I really recommend this is the best place to stay in Barcelona !

Situé dans un quartier calme mais proche du centre, l'emplacement est idéal ! Merci beaucoup, nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir!

Apartamento silencioso, limpo e funcional. Ideal para quatro pessoas, inclusive com crianças. Cozinha bem equipada, máquina de lavar roupa e louça. Pátio ideal para jantar romântico e toda infraestrutura de TV a cabo e Wi-Fi. Sensacional!!!!

Jun 27, 2019Except for the neighbor's loud party, we really enjoyed our stay. Great location and walked everywhere. We did not use air conditioning, opened windows in evenings and it was nice. Bedding was a bit heavy for this time of year, but we came from Alaska so our temperature settings may be different. The bakery around the corner (left out door, left at corner, immediate left) was really amazing. Looks like several self improvement jobs were done, but nothing that makes any difference unless you are a perfectionist. We would definitely stay here again. We arrived earlier than planned and they were able to accommodate us - Thank you!

Jun 27, 2019Nice, contemporary modern loft that we enjoyed staying in during our 4 day stay in Barcelona. There were 6 of us and it was cozy yet spacious enough for all of us. The location was very convenient since it was close to the metro and in a quiet neighborhood which we enjoyed at the end of every day. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to eat in some nights. A carton of milk in the fridge was a very thoughtful touch since we were traveling with kids. A supermarket was right around corner and quite a few restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend and we would choose it again if we visit Barcelona again.

В квартире два этажа, на первом гостиная, кухня и спальня с ванной и туалетом, на втором этаже спальня и ванна с туалетом. Есть небольшое патио на балконе. На кухне есть все, что необходимо, чтоб готовить каждый день. Шустрый вайфай. Дизайнерский интерьер. Рекомендую данную квартиру. Спасибо!

We stayed there for 5 nights with our kids and we all had a great time. The check in was great as well. We highly recommend this apartment!

Jul 27, 2019Really handy place to stay. Next to metro and Sants station. No need for expensive taxis to and from airport. Right next to Plaza España. Clean, comfortable. Stayed with three adults and three kids aged 8-15 and we loved it. Very accomodating with late check out.

Sandro, o rapaz responsável por nos dar as boas vindas foi extremamente educado, nos mostrou todo o loft com bastante cuidado e ficou a nossa inteira disposição. Tem estação de metrô próxima, mercado e até um shopping. Vale muito o custo benefício!

Jun 27, 2019Localização boa, internet e TV funcionaram bem, o local é silencioso e tem muitos serviços perto, cama confortavel. Muitas coisas nos decepcionaram: Falta de privacidade, uma pessoa entrou na casa sem avisar nem tocar a campainha, do nada. Cobrança indevida, no site havia um valor de taxa de turismo, nos cobraram outra e quando reclamamos mudaram o valor do site para nos enganar, tive que me queixar ao airbnb, que claro percebeu a tentativa de nos enganar, os anfitriões nem manifestaram interesse em resolver o problema. Não houve nenhuma retratação apesar do airbnb devolver 20 euros para nós. O quarto superior tem o teto baixo, assim como o banheiro, isso deveria ser informado. Ninguém maior que 1.55 metros consegue usar esses ambientes confortavelmente. A chave de energia caiu várias vezes e a água quente acabava após 2 pessoas tomarem banho, ninguém nos explicou nada sobre. A calefação é em grande parte feira com ar condicionado split inverter que adicionalmente havia um sensor de presença para desligar, ou seja o importante aqui é economizar e não dar conforto ao usuário. Nos deixaram duas chaves da casa mas somente uma funcionava.A calefação dos banheiros estava quebrada e não arrumaram mesmo após nossa queixa. Por fim, muito frio impessoal e não satisfatório um grande business como muita coisa em BCN, ou seja ganhar dinherio esta bem mas o servço em geral foi serviço ruim e portanto caro.
Jun 27, 2019Lana & Alain's place is a stylish and spacious home with a loft bedroom. Located just minutes from Sants train station, their place also has a supermarket and affordable restaurants right at the doorstep. One thing to note is that the washing machine is located at the balcony so it was really cold to step out to use the machine during winter. Overall, it was great location to stay at.

Jun 27, 2019Le logement de Lana & Alain est très spacieux, haut de gamme et plus que parfait pour 3 personnes, 2 styles de salle de bain différents. Les équipements sont optimales ( clim, chauffage etc ), les chambres spacieuses, l’accès au logements idéal pour toutes personnes. La ville de Barcelone nous a enchanté de part son ouverture sur les différentes cultures, la gentillesse des gens, ouvertures d’esprits et j’en passe; les balades en villes furent convivial; une première pour nous. Le parc guëll avec son centre monumental nous a marqué particulièrement, une vue magnifique. En revanche prévoyez un moyen de transport ou autre pour vous y rendre, la queue pour les taxis est interminable lors des grosses affluences. Le quartier gothique, la sagrada familia, magnifique sont à visiter absolument, sans oublier la barceloneta.
Jun 27, 2019Все было просто великолепно! Расположение супер! Рядом отличный парк для прогулок с детьми и без. В шаговой доступности ТРК Арена с обзорной площадкой. Рядом с Ареной ресторан все включено Wok. Квартира отличная. Были с 14 марта по 20 марта, семья с 3 детьми. Всем было удобно. Спасибо хозяевам и персонально Сантьяго. Рекомендую к посещению.
Jun 27, 2019J'avais reservé cet appartement pour ma famille qui venait en vacances me visiter, les premiers jours ont été un peu bruyants á cause du voisin dén face qui faisait la fête tard, puis ensuite beaucoup mieux, ma famille a été tres contente de sejourner dans cet appartement, tres spacieux, bien decoré et bien placé. Le seul hic l'odeur dans la salle du bain du bas et comme je l'ai dit le bruit du voisin les premiers jours. Merci encore à votre agence Alain et Lana.
Jul 27, 2019la casa è molto accogliente e curata nei dettagli. il check in è stata fatto in tempi rapidi e con grande professionalità la casa è vicina (circa 2 minuti a piedi) a due fermate della metro.

Jun 27, 2019I do recommend the flat. The location is great, 5 min walking away from Espania Square and the Magic Fontains. Guillem is very friendly and helpful. The flat is big enough even for 6 people. Very clean and quiet. We had a great stay!
Jun 27, 2019Lana and Alain’s place was very comfortable, stylish, clean, and functional. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the linens and towels smelled good. Kitchen utensils and appliances were complete. Space was ample for four people. Location was convenient, few minutes walk from Placa Espanya, Arenas de Barcelona, and Montjuic. Communication with hosts was fast and helpful. We hope to return soon.
Jun 27, 2019Had a great time in the apartment. We were 3 adults and 3 kids and we had plenty of space. The split level plus 2 bathrooms worked very well for us. The place was clean and modern as pictured. The check in manager was great even though we were quite a bit later than expected. The apartment was easy to get to and the neighbor hood was fine. It’s close to the sites, but still requires using public transport to get down to the centre of town. We felt like the quality/price was well balanced. We would recommend and would stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful stay at Loft Miro. It is a quiet relaxing flat, far enough out of the centre to offer relaxing pauses in your stay, but just two minutes walk from a metro stop that has you in any number of locations in 10mins. You also have the advantage of having the exquisite Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya only 10mins walk away (plus a few additional steps)! An immediate local supermarket and pharmacy are on hand to the flat alongside many shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk, including Arenas de Barcelona for larger roof-top restaurants with an excellent view and even a cinema if needed. Our check in and check out experience were very easy with a wonderful host who gave lots of tips and stayed in touch throughout our stay. Late check out was very easily arranged for a small additional fee. The flat was spotlessly clean and is very well equipped for cooking if needed, which helps when travelling with children and the washer /drier is a also a useful addition. One bathroom has a large walk in shower, the other bathroom has a small bath and much lower shower, suitable for children and smaller adults. Any taller guests will need to share the downstairs shower. We had one or two minor requests during our visit for light bulbs and plugs etc and these were answered quickly. We visited out of season and the flat was warm and cosy. Lovely crisp white bedding is provided along with memory foam pillows and excellent mattresses / duvets - we slept well! The street entrance to the complex is easy to find and well lit and the complex and wider local area feel extremely safe and welcoming. Entrance to the flat is on the ground floor so no major staircases or lifts required. Be aware if travelling with older or disabled guests that there is a small external step up to the apartment entrance and one step within the apartment down to the nearest bedroom and bathroom. The second bedroom in the flat is up a small flight of stairs as seen in the flat photos. This didn't stop my older parents enjoying the flat, but it is not fully accessible. There are some works being done on the complex that temporarily make the second entrance to the flat darker, this is no problem for safety but visibility outside the flat door is a little restricted at night. Overall we had a brilliant stay in Barcelona at Loft Miro with warm hospitality and good amenities, we hope you do too!

Jun 27, 2019loft appartment was clean and spacious, location ideal for a group of 4 - nice residential area with good connections on metro. William met us upon arrival and gave us local knowledge of where to eat and best tourist attractions. We had a slight issue with the hot water and messaged home owner and got a response straight away and someone came out to visit same day to resolve issue. Apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, upstairs bath/shower is Abit awkward but works none the less. We asked for late check out for a few of €30 which we all thought was exceptionally reasonable. Overall excellent trip to Barcelona - thank you Lana & Alain !
Jun 27, 2019The Loft is beautiful and comfortable. It is conviniently located near many places to roam or catch a metro. We appreciate the personal connection at check-in and explanation of how to get to sites we wanted to visited. The grocery store is steps away. Most importantly the Loft is clean, beautiful and comfortable. When we were tired or wanted some downtime, the Loft was relaxing.
