Chuck is a very kind host. He was very helpful when my airplane company lost my baggage and someone had to wait for them 1 entire day, Chuck did that for me. His place is located 15 min walking from the subway number 7, which goes straight to the Times square. And 1 min to the bus stop to the bus Q65. The room is little hot because it does not have windows. I had to talk with Chuck's sister because he does not speak english.

The place is at central Flushing and you can access a lot of dining place within walking distance. Overall it was a great experience. I recommend the host. Btw the rate was very reasonable.

It may take less than 15 mins to reach main grocery stores and Chinese restaurants via walking. Generally speaking, it will be a excellent choice based on the rate for single traveler. Highly recommended!

It was about a 10 minute walk to public transportation, and then a quick 30 minute ride on the subway to Times Square -- quite convenient!

Jun 27, 2019The host was nice and the place was clean, however there were a few unpleasant and unexpected things from my experience here. First, I needed to park and was told there was street parking. When I arrived, there was none to be found until I called and spoke to a girl who spoke english and gave me a tip. Would have been helpful if I got this in the original emails. Second, the room is some walls built up in the middle of the small apartment, with about a foot or two of open space at the top. Therefore, you can hear everything. They built an air conditioner, but the hot air went out to the main apartment and then this just blew up over the space at the top of the "walls".....very strange. Third, I counted about 6 people living there. One of them spoke some english, so it was a full space of people and kind of hard to communicate. There is one bathroom and at one point there was a line for it. Again, you can hear everything, even over the "air conditioner", and a few of these people were talking late and cooking early in the morning. I didn't sleep, and was only there for one night of sleep before my flight. This was also due to the fact that the bed was as hard as a rock. :( Finally, the internet went in and out, which I only used for about an hour. I think people should be aware of what they are getting, which is why I'm sharing my experience.

Jun 27, 2019Chuck did his best to provide a convenient stay for us in his apartment. He and his wife were very friendly and generous. Unfortunately, the weather was really hot during our stay and so was the flat and our room. The AC helped but was pretty loud, so we had the choice between a very warm or loud room. Although, the walls were quite thin, so we heart nearly everything our neighbor was doing, which made sleeping difficult from time to time. Connection to Manhattan and other parts of the city a nearly perfect, bus and metro stations are right around the corner. The house is situated in a colorful and interesting neighborhood with a great choice of Asian shops and restaurants.

Jun 27, 2019The room was exactly as described and shown on the photo. I was able to do my work in the room during daytime and then went out for fun at night. I enjoyed the experience and recommend others to use the service. In addition, my flight to New York city way delayed for 2 to 3 hours, and by the time I arrived the location, it's already midnight. Mr. Chow was willing to accommodate and waited until I arrived. He's a pretty awesome host! Thanks for the place!

Jun 27, 2019This room is quite good for 1 person, if 2, that will be a little narrow because of the room space. And another concern is, this room has bad voice-block from each room, so after 11, you will be asked to be extremely quiet (nearly no sound), so 1 person is good. The kitchen is good, the bad is good, bathroom is clean and in good condition, you should share all of these with the host and the other guests . The place is little far away from subway(10~15mins walk), but i think this area is safer than the area around subway. The host, Chuck is willing to solve your problem, he live just next to you. One drawback for me is, you will be asked not to chat more with the neighborhood, so it'll be just a living place. i'll recommend this room if you have only 1 person and not hate to walk. (oh, it's very easy for you to get good and cheap food around!!)
Jun 27, 2019Zhengchuan is a very nice and friendly host and make me feel like home. The place is good and clean enough for sleep. It has air conditioner, hot water, and hair dryers. While ear plugs and eyeshade sometimes would help. The neibourghood is near the Main Street, which is the perfect location to explore authentic asian food.
Jun 27, 2019Very good landlord, wearing a pair of glasses, Sven, people are very warm, the room is clean and bright, although it is separated out of the room, the bathroom is shared, but without any inconvenience. Around the transportation and catering are very convenient and there are a lot of Chinese supermarkets. Overall, it is a very good accommodation experience, very suitable for people who travel to New York, strongly recommended!

The location is convenient and safe, walking distance to the Main Flushing Metro Station, that will take us to Times Square and many other attractions are linked to the metro lines. Nearby has a lots of restaurants. The room is clean, bed is so comfortable. We have a great time staying at 正川 house. Big thanks to 正川 for offering such a nice room for traveller like us.
Jun 27, 2019The owners Mr and Mrs Chuck are very kind, generous and very helpful to make my stay feel comfortable and easy. Mr Chuck even assisted with my laundry. The room is very comfortable, big enough for two persons. The location is very safe. I walked back and forth from the subway station during midnight without any trouble. The place is located in an Asian community with a variety of Chinese restaurants at cheap price. I will definitely come back for my next trip to New York.

Jun 27, 2019Mr. Chuck is a very nice guy. He was very welcoming. The description was accurate and the neighborhood was like any other in New York. Busy busy, busy:) Room was very clean and nice. Wifi speed was good. Bathroom was fully equipped and clean. Overall excellent to place, if you have some work in the Queens area in New York. For doctors who have currently applied for residency, this place is very near to the Queens Area Hospital and Flushing Hospital.

The location of his house is a bit far since it is located in the end of subway line 3. But, if you could catch the express train, it would be no problem. Overall, it was a very good stay.
Jun 27, 2019Mr. Chuck and his wife are very nice. We told them the room was a little hot and he gave us the fan right away. The room is comfy and the location is good. It only takes u about 10 mins waking to the train station, or you can also take bus. There are a lot of restaurants or cafes around, very convenient. Definitely will stay here again when I come to New York next time!

Jun 27, 2019HORRIBLE ! HORRIBLE !! HORRIBLE !!! There are COCKROACH in the bedroom !!!!!! We have pictures !!!! The negative aspect: First I think all the previous reviews were written by fake accounts, otherwise it is not possible! The room is not even a piece as such! There is no ceiling, only 4 wooden planks cobbled together to make 4 walls ... thereby having an intimate moment is absolutely impossible: the Chang family hears you and you constantly hear. There is no ceiling, so we constantly feel the smell of food in your room: This IS DISGUSTING !!It is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep !!! From the first night we are annoyed because they turn on the light at 4am, and they do not die !! NO RESPECT ! Besides the snoring of the Chang family ...There are people who enter the house early in the morning, or a big bell in the middle of the afternoon when you go rest. They excrement DIRTY! We hear the spitting, burping and farting is AWFUL! And that's from morning to night ...They are very uncommunicative they hardly understand English ...the positive aspect: NOTHING !!!! We had a HORRIBLE stay with them! Do not go! This room is not a room should be on EVEN Airbnb! We had continuous vomiting entire evening without any explanation or apology... NOT RECOMMENDED !!!!!!!

Jun 27, 2019I stay there two night. I have to say it is a wonderful experience. Pro: cozy room, clean toilet, and useful information from host. Con: the sound-proofing of wall isn't so good but the host move very gentle. It's not a big problem. Hard to get there by bus for traveler without internet in the night exactly unless you do pretty pay attention on counting each station. Anyway, it's pretty worthy to stay there with such low price. 我在正川的房間待了兩天,有兩晚很舒服的睡眠｡他給的資訊相當有用,房間相當舒適,廁所很乾淨｡ 小缺點: 房間隔音沒有很好,但是正川先生與家人的動作非常輕巧,不影響睡眠｡ 晚上搭巴士要很注意是否到站,對於在紐約沒有網路的人來說｡ 我個人相當推薦這房源,以這個價錢來說,絕對超值｡

In addition, if you take the bus on time and catch express subway everyday, you will be able to reach Manhattan in 30 mins. Only a few blocks away from Flushing main street where you can find a lot of restaurants especially asian cuisine. Overall, highly recommended.

Jun 27, 2019The 3/4 walls were odd and allowed you to hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room. From snoring to romance you're a witness to it all. Or if you're like me and arrived late and still needed to create a plan for the next day the light shines over the wall and wakes up the couple in the other room. It's an inexpensive room in an expensive market so you just roll with it.

Jun 27, 2019He waited for me at door ad was quick to explain the apt. I loved the room with air conditioning system. Wifi was always working and shower was hot. I would say stay here. Very cheap and mall was only 1 mile away. Coffee not too far and laundry 1 block.

English is not his primary language but he tried everything in his power to accommodate our requests and make sure everything was up to standard. Jun 27, 2019I stayed here for 3 nights during the US Open. Good location, 10min walk from the subway (direct line to central Manhattan), this is almost at the heart of the Flushing Chinatown. The owner contacted me before my arrival to explain me how to get to his apartment. The building is a bit old but the apartment and the room are clean. The description is accurate, the room is small but it's enough, there is AC and wifi (working well), you can use the bathroom and the kitchen. The host has been welcoming and made his best to speak in English. I would recommend this place if you're staying in the area, it's definitely good quality for the price!

Jun 27, 2019Warning: MATTRESS IS HARD AS A ROCK!!! It quite possibly was just a box spring. Might as well have slept on the floor. The prior reviews are correct in that the room is very small and in the living room constructed out of plywood panels, providing visual privacy but no auditory privacy. The host, however, was very nice and responsive in communication prior to checkin. Limited street parking but lucked out finding a spot after circling several times around. If rickety elevators are a phobia of yours, this is not the place for you. The kitchen also stunk of old/rotting food the next morning, so we got out early... But, we booked this place because it was cheap and 2 miles away from Citi Field, so it fulfilled its purpose. However, I would not stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019When I arrived it was 10pm at the house and it smelled like a pet store. I honestly felt sick from the horrid smell that was coming from his home. The room is extremely tiny he built it himself. He is rude and doesn't leave his guests alone. ALL NIGHT and the next morning he came knocking on my door and wouldn't leave my boyfriend and I alone to sleep or even enjoy our stay. This was one of the worse air BNB experiences of my life. To make matters worse the man doesn't speak a lick of English so it's hard to communicate with him. He should post this problem in his ad. He also keep asking my husband and I for $6 extra dollars which he requested through air Bnb. Word of advice STAY AWAY from this guy and his home. Not worth the aggravation and time. Just get yourself a nicer place around the area. Complete waste of money and time. I left crying because the man kept harassing my husband and I about $6 extra for what? I have no clue.

Jun 27, 2019My overall stay with Chuck was great. He was kind, the place was clean, and location is pretty good. The only thing was that the rooms are not sound proof that I was able to hear other people staying in the room next to me. So, I guess if you get loud "neighbor" airbnb guests, it could bother you but during my stay it was not bad at all. Chuck was very nice during my stay, and the room is very clean. It's a small room but it has everything you need to stay that I could see how considerate Chuck is. I think this place is definitely worth staying :)

From this subway you can go to Central Park or the MET Bronx zoo and etc. around 1 hour by (URL HIDDEN) surrounded by lots of Chinese food and Korean food. I recommended Korean restaurant which is near Shiseido shop. You can buy reasonable Chinese food here. There are 2 laundries near this places. This place is really clean. The bedroom was renovated within their room, but you have your private. Host is really kind. He takes care guests really well and answer question really quick. He's really good guy.

Jun 27, 2019Hôte ne parle que le chinois. Refuse qu'on lui téléphone souhaite communiquer que par écris car il utilise la traduction qui n'est pas toujours claire. L'appartement est à 15 minute du métro ce qui fait loin. La chambre n'est pas une vraie chambre les murs sont en préfabriqués la lumière et le bruit passe comme si nous dormons en peinture dans le salon le matelas est très dure dormir par terre serais pareil. Très mauvaise expérience. Pour le prix il est possible de trouver meilleur qualité et plus proche de manhattan.

Jun 27, 2019The price is okay spent 50$ for a last minute Saturday night but for a bit more you can get something way more comfortable. So first the host speaks Chinese I think and since I didn't need to communicate much it was fine with me. Room looks much nicer in photos. It's like a box 14x14 the room itself is just created with wooden walls in the living room and made into a room. The top of the walls are open so you can hear everything from the other room, kitchen and bathroom. Host was an old man and nice showed where everything was during check in. So the noise is an issue you can hear everything pretty much like there was no walls at all. The door had a lock and key but when I closed it and locked it I could easily pull/push it open and is pretty much not even a lockable door. BE AWARE The bed is hard as fk, I think it's just a mattress topper with no mattress. It was pretty uncomfortable to sleep and even lay down in. Room is a small box with lamp and a standing lamp. At night it got cold the heater didn't work in the room had to use all three blanket type covers to sleep. Bathroom was acceptable and kitchen didn't use much at all. Pros: cheap, location, visual privacy, nice host Con: Uncomfortable bed, not considered rooms more like cardboard boxes, zero noise reduction in rooms, unlockable door. Overall cheap place to crash for a night and the host told me to give them 5 stars and good ratings. Think this place has good ratings because the host is an old man and didn't want to give an honest review.
Jun 27, 2019房东叔叔很热情~阿姨也很和善~我第一天晚上要去接机~叔叔就给了我召车的电话~让我方便从机场来回~第二天我和朋友要出去玩的时候,阿姨正在厨房洗碗~我们和阿姨打了一声招呼后,阿姨就放下手中的事,主动帮我们来关门~晚上洗完澡,叔叔还热心地告诉我们街口洗衣店的位置,在得知洗衣店洗衣服要钱之后,叔叔告诉我们可以用手洗了~直接晾在厕所里~后来我也看了,厕所里确实有晾衣架~而且我朋友忘带毛巾了,但是叔叔提供了备用的毛巾给我朋友用,解决了她的麻烦~最后一个晚上,隔壁房间的住户说有点冷~那个时候已经十一点多了~但是叔叔还是出来帮他们检查窗户~路过我们房间的时候~主动问我们冷不冷,特别贴心~总之,整体体验还蛮不错的~推荐大家~
Jun 27, 2019Had a good night of stay. The apartment was in the walking distance from the main st metro station and was pretty easy to find. We got there close to midnight, but the host waited and welcomed us. He gave us some suggestions on the nearby dining and shopping places the next day. The price is also very affordable and hard to beat in the flushing area. The only thing is that the walls weren't very sound proof and we could hear someone talking in another room, but that didn't bother us too much. Would love to stay there again next time we go to flushing, NY.

Jun 27, 2019My friend and I enjoyed the stay at 正川’s place! Everything was prepared and he was really accommodating with additional requests such as leaving the luggage at the airbnb earlier. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Jun 27, 2019The host was great and polite. I don’t like that neighborhood had some sort of odor I could smell even inside, and sheets could be washed, no heat so I used blankets (3) but overall it was ok experience. And very important it is safe neighborhood.
Jun 27, 2019有一晚空调没开还是坏了 冷死了 然后第二天跟房东叔叔说了 解决了 就好很多 走到main street 也要一段距离 但是性比价还不错啦 房间是很典型的中式房间 很大!一切都还可以!可以推荐!

Only the long text with the rules mention that it's only for small meals. This important detail should be mentioned in the Amenities description. It's misleading, to say the least.
