Neighborhood Overview
Sydenham is in the Inner West of Sydney and a very cosmopolitan, multicultural, eclectic area. The train station is two minute walk from my home and a pub with a good restaurant and entertainment is just across the road from the station. A popular jazz venue Camelot, is a five minute walk. The beach is 15 minutes by car. It is 15 minutes by train to the city of Sydney for you to explore Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and all the nightlife and venues of this beautiful city. The airport is 15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by train. There are several music venues, restaurants, clubs, pubs and cafes within walking distance. Central station is 9 minutes away where you can take buses to the Blue Mountains, Jenolan Caves, Snowy Mountains and trains to country areas and outside the Sydney Metropolitan area such as Newcastle. We are under the flight path as we are very convenient to the airport. This means we have planes which fly low at times. Sydney airport has a curfew from 11pm to 6am so no planes fly at this time. We have never had a problem with people sleeping well here but it is important for you to know. Please note we have a cat. I also have another room available "Room Close to City and airport." Transit
Sydenham is a major train station and buses, taxis and Uber are available. The airport is 15 minutes by car.
Access
You are welcome to use our kitchen and space can be made available in the fridge. We have two bathrooms which are shared. You are free to use the lounge room and watch television or listen to music or just relax. Laundry facilities are available. An outdoor area looks out to a pretty park.

Rules
We do not have too many rules. Price is for a maximum of 2 guests. No smoking inside but we have an area under cover outside. Please clean areas you use. I go out until late and leave early in the morning and will take care not to disturb others who may be resting or sleeping and ask you do likewise. No additional guests please. Please let me know of any breakages.

Jun 27, 2019Edi was an incredible host. She was super friendly and helped us with anything we needed. She showed us around her home and gave us suggestions of where to eat, drink and do our shopping! The house was super clean, and our room was great (bed was super comfy) lots of space to put your belongings and Jet (the cat) was super cute! We ended up staying longer than originally planned because we felt so at home at Edi's. The house itself was only a 3 minute walk to the train station where you can easily access trains to central etc. I would recommend anyone to stay here and I would to stay again! Can't thank you enough Edi :) *****

Jun 27, 2019This is an excellent accommodation located within three minutes walk to a train station. The house is very clean and quiet. The host, Edi, is a very nice and helpful person. This is an ideal place for me to stay at any time I'm in Sydney and I would definitely recommend it to others as well.

Jun 27, 2019Edi was super helpful from the moment I contacted her and Dion. Instructions were sent properly to access the house while she was away,and we even found the cat :) best cat ever I might say :) We really enjoyed how close to the station it was and close to the airport too. Location is great, security wise is amazing ,own keys for room ,plunger coffee and great stories if you around when Edi is there. Was delighted to wake up to Dion’s music and voice so thanks for that too. Will def return ! :)
Jun 27, 2019We had such a wonderful time in Edi’s home. She’s a really friendly, inspiring woman who knows a lot about Sydney (and by the way, many other places in the world). She gave us the best ideas about where to visit and what to do in our stay. Her house is big, cozy, has a great kitchen to cook and the shower is great and warm. Just everything perfect! We felt like home, even so far away. Definitely recommend!!

Jun 27, 2019Edi is a great host - she’s warm and tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible The house is located a 2min walk from the station, however is under a flight path (noting blackout period between 11pm-6am). I enjoyed the stay and would recommend especially for people who are looking for an easy location.

Jun 27, 2019Edi had such a lovely home. I was there with her, her 24-year-old son, and an English guest. She was so sweet and helpful, and we all hung out for trivia or drinks. She was incredibly accommodating when I had to stay longer, and I felt like I had a real home in Sydney. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends! P.S. Her cat, Jet, is a real love!

Jun 27, 2019I would really recommend this place as it is close to the public transport and it's affordable. Very clean and comfortable room. Edi is really friendly and kind, she gave us many tips where to go in Sydney and was ready to help anytime. The planes weren't an issue, we could sleep without any disturbing.

Jun 27, 2019Edi is very friendly and nice! she let me know the best and cheapest option of travel from the airport to her place! its very helpful knowing that you are exhausted after travelling on planes and want to arrive at your accomdation conviniently and fast! she also tells me where to go for food and other which is very handy! also the house is only few minutes away from a train station!! overall it is a great experience and I really recommend to stay with Edi!
