The room is from my daughter who lives in São Paulo, is a very special blue room which is lovely decorated, the bed is new and very confortable. The bathroom and the kitchen is shared and clean. Has internet wi-fi access at all apartment. You will have the key of the apartment and the key of the room. I live with a small yorkshire dog Cherie which is really kind! Family apartment is one block from copacabana beach posto 5 and 5 min walking from the metro Ipanema/General Osorio. Really near from the Arpoador and Ipanema just 15 min walking. Very good location, the apartment is next to the pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants, coffe shops, naturals shops and exchange cambio. I use to rent my room for many years and I really love to meet people and help them! I booked the room at Marinete's apartment for my husband. He was staying in Rio for a week because he was studying Portuguese. He loved the place. Marinete was very helpfull, the room was nice and clean. The location is perfect. He loved the time there.

Jun 27, 2019Muy buen departamento, nos quedamos con mi señora 4 noches y realmente lo pasamos muy bien, desde el minuto que reservamos el lugar Marinete estuvo atenta a todos los mensajes, muy buena anfitriona, nos dio datos de distintos Tour a precio muy buenos. El departamento esta a 1 cuadra de la playa de Copacabana, tienes transporte, supermercado, farmacia, bancos a bajo del edificio, muy buena ubicación. La pieza matrimonial muy acogedora, con amplio closet y un baño compartido muy limpio. El lugar lo recomiendo 100%, no se van a repentir =)
Jun 27, 2019A marinete e a sua filha Joana sao incríveis....além de simpáticas e hospitaleiras, fazem vc se sentir extremamente a vontade.....Sabe aquelas pessoas que gostam do que fazem? Então....elas adoram receber pessoas....virei cliente cativa.
Jun 27, 2019Muito bom ficar na casa de Marinete. O apartamente está localizado em um ótimo ponto de Copacabana, na frente do Posto 5. Existem diversos comércios por perto e é 10 min (a pé) do metro, como também do Forte de Copacaban e da praia de Ipanema. Está localizado em umas das principais vias de acesso, onde passam onibus para todos os pontos turísticos da cidade. Como a localidade é tradicional, preparem os bolsos, nada por ali é muito barato. A Marinete é uma pessoa maravilhosa, acolhedora e te deixa super a vontade, por mais que não saiba falar inglês fluente, ela sempre dá um jeito, com um sorriso no rosto para atender as necessidades dos estrangeiros. O apartamento é uma graça e o quarto muito bem decorado, arrumado, limpo e (Website hidden by Airbnb) certeza, ficaria lá de uma próxima vez!
Jun 27, 2019Adorei a casa! a Marinete é muito boa pessoa, senti como em casa, o quarto é muito espaçoso e bem limpo, tem toalhas, roupa de cama e guarda-roupas, a decoração bem agradavel. O cachorrinho é bem tranquilo. Espero voltar depois na casa dela. Eu recomendo a casa :)
Jun 27, 2019Had a fantastic 4 days in Rio, and made more enjoyable by living in Marinete's apartment. She is a really kind lady and helped as much as possible. One block away from the beach, close to lots of food, and the area is really safe to walk even at night. Just want to say a big thank you to Marinete for everything!

Jun 27, 2019We stayed during the crazy Rio carnival. Our host Marinete was always so helpful and encouraging of our plans. She was very laid back, relaxed and encouraged a good time by all the guests staying in her home. The location was perfect by beaches, metro and shops. We were very grateful she also was open to meeting our cousin who guided us daily through the streets of Rio. I would stay again here but maby wait til its cooler next time.
Jun 27, 20197 awesome days with Marinete! She is a really nice lady and a super friendly host. She treated us very kindly. We even felt like we were a part of her family. She suggested us best places to go for dinner and do some activities. The apartment is also nice and cozy. Its location is really convenient - just steps away from the beach, shops, restaurants, bus stops and subway station. Definitely will come back here when back in Rio!
Jun 27, 2019Hemos pasado 7 días maravillosos en casa de Marinete. Es una muy buena anfitriona! Siempre se muestra predispuesta, aconseja sobre lugares a visitar o momentos para hacerlo, no es restrictiva con los horarios o espacios y está pendiente de que todo marche bien. Además el apartamento es tal como se ve en las fotos. No hay engaños. Quedamos totalmente satisfechos con la estadía y, sin dudas, no sólo volveríamos a Río sino también a su casa. Gracias Marinete!

Jun 27, 2019Location, location, location. Marinete was a great host and very friendly, she provided us with very helpful information on how to get around. Her apartment is 5 minutes walk to Copacabana Beach, lots of restaurants and bars and the buses run right outside her door. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The apartment is as described, and the location is really excellent: near to beach, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and public transport. Jun 27, 2019Marinete was a wonderful host. We had a great 2 nights stay at her place. Bedroom was spacious. Building is located just 1 block from the beach. There are restaurants nearby, location is safe and building is secured.

Jun 27, 2019Mari and Joanna are very friendly and affectionate hosts. Our stay at their Copacabana apartment was highly enjoyable. The location cannot get better than that. Lots of good restaurants are within walking distance or 15 mnts cab ride away. The beach is a block away. The apartment felt very safe.
Jun 27, 2019Mari was a great host. She greeted us warmly upon arrival, gave us tea and let us watch the Brazilian world cup game with her. She then took us for a quick walk around the apartment to help us get situated. Our room was clean, had a lock, and was quiet. She has an adorable little dog who was friendly as well. Great location! A block away from Copacabana beach, near Ipanema, 3 maybe 4 blocks to the metro. Right next to major bus lines. Really good location. Felt safe in the neighborhood and entry had a security guard all tines we went in or out. Highly recommend Mari and her place, would certainly stay again.
Jun 27, 2019Room was as described and was more than comfortable for two! The location was great, close to Ipanema and Copacabana.. Mari's daughter Joanna spoke english and was able to help us with a few things. Felt very secure and Mari even offered to do our washing. Good experience! Thanks again

La ubicación. a escasos metros de la playa de Copacabana, perfecta y el acceso a buses y metro, también. Lo mejor, sin duda, el trato de Marinete y de su hija Joana, que hacen que la estancia sea de lo más familiar. En todo momento, atentas para hacer tu estancia en Rio de lo más agradable; te orientan, te acompañan: un lujo.

Jun 27, 2019Perfect location 1 block from Copacabana beach. Plenty or restaurants, bars, supermarkets nearby. 24 hour door man. Laundry facilities available. Mari was a really lovely and warm host. Her daughter speaks English fluently and is always happy to help. Was quite hot and humid while we were in Rio but the fans sufficed.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is as it is shown on the pictures, very good location, good district. You can walk also in the evening since the police is almost at each corner. The host is very well, meet you in a domestic manner to feel you as at home with a cup of coffee, biscuits and fruits. All required information will be given to you and tell you about excursions. I definitely recommend this place.

She's providing fruits and other stuff for her guests and is always available for a nice chat in the kitchen. Feels like home! :) The appartment is perfectly located in Copacabana, just one block away from the beach and the busses to all areas of Rio stop close to her house. Perfect to discover the city easily. Mari you're the best and it was so nice meeting you!
Jun 27, 2019I stayed at Mari's place for one month. It was an amazing experience. The apartment has the perfect location, one block away from the beach, all the bus stops are right outside the apartment so it is very convenient to explore other areas in Rio. Mari is so kind and caring. Also checking on me to know if I'm ok, encourages me to go out and explore the city. I just wish that my Portugese is better so that I can communicate with her more. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Rio (:

Easy access by bus to City center. Tis was my 4th time staying with Mary and every time she made me feel very welcome.. I warmly recommend the host.
Jun 27, 2019We loved Mari and her little dog Shaggy! She is a real Carioca and very kind. The room has everything it needs. Bed, TV, wifi and even a little fridge. Mari is always there to help you. She knows tourguides, restaurants... The place is 2 minutes walk far from copacabana beach and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Ipanema beach. The avenue is very save, also at night and you have a 24/7 Portier. Means: location is perfect!
Jun 27, 2019Mari is fabulous & beautiful lady , full of great hospitality & kindness. She was waiting for me. Upon arrival to Mari's apartment , she offered to me tropical fruits & Brazilian coffee . Room was nice with fan & WiFi. Great location, 5 minutes ( 1 block) to Copacabana , metro nearby, all restaurants & supermarket. Building has 24/7 Porter & area around is safe. Mari has small & adorable dog . I had amazing time & highly recommended Mari's apartment. Thank you very much dear Mari . Aleksey from New York City.

Her apartment is just a short walk from Copacabana and about 10 minute walk to Ipanema and Aproador. The room was perfect and Mari made me feel perfectly at home. I will definitely be staying at her apartment when I come back.

I really loved the place, one block to Copa Beach and one block to local areas with more Rio feeling, also 10 min to Ipanema, close to metro station, just everthing! Mari's house is really lovely and she is really nice and friendly host. I enjoyed time there.
Jun 27, 2019Nice and caring lady, ur grandma style. Can be too much sometimes. :) Did not feel well for a day when I was in Rio, took me to ER. The room is really nice and clean, and the building was watched by security guard. 1 block away to the beach and close to all major attractions except centro and Lapa (nightlife). Overall a great place to stay.

Jun 27, 2019We stayed with Mari for more than a week during Carnival. Very good location to travel everywhere, either on foot, or for longer distances we could take a bus (1 min walk from the house), or the metro (I think 6 min walk, but we walk fast). Also the beach was close, so 1 min walk and there you are :) All the buildings there have fences around them and the security guard lets you in, so we felt really safe there. For the breakfast we bought sandwich material and Mari had a nice kitchen with all the necessary accessories. Greeting to you Mari and all the best from Estonia! We really hope to come back some day!

Jun 27, 2019I stayed at Mari's for 6 weeks. The room was great with plenty of space, lots of room to put away my belongings and a desk to work on. I don't speak Portuguese so communication was a challenge at times but Mari was always friendly and happy to help if needed. It's a very social house with lots of visitors and sometimes an extra person would stay. It didn't bother me too much as the place is spacious and everyone was very friendly. I guess the only issue was that the dog isn't house trained so you would find the occasional 'presents' around the house (especially in the kitchen that wasn't so nice). But apart from that I can recommend the place. Location is great with only 1 block to the beach and a 10 minute walk to ipanema.

Jun 27, 2019Mari is the best! Her house is always clean, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The building is guarded 24/7 so we felt very safe, its in copscabana next to a bank, a super market, a variety of restaurants and its just across the road fron the beach. And still, the biggest advantage of all is Mari herself! Mari makes it feels like home,she helps with everything! And she is always there. She is a warm, loving and kind woman. We have enjoyed every moment and were sad to leave.
