Bus stops and metro stops (Arc de Triump and Ciutadela Vila Olimpica) are literally 5 minutes walking from the flat. Also the rail stations (Estacio de el Nord y Estacio de Francia) are at 10 minutes distance. It is possible to reach the flat from the airport by public transport (rail with change at Barcelona Sants). The cost is approximately 10 Euros, and it offers other 9 trips included in this price to use the metro and explore the city. It is also possible to reach the flat by taxi (cost of approximately 30 Euros)

Being hosted in Chiara's flat completed my wonderful 2-days trip to Barcelona - planned just 1 day before it. Chiara replied my request few hours after I post it, so it helped me a lot, making me feel relaxed about the hosting. Chiara's flat is precisely charming as she described. It was a warm decoration, that will make you feel comfortable and relaxed. There I found interesting books of photography, and also Mafalda. Furthermore, it's pretty close to places you may love to visit. I'm glad I visited Chiara and Marcelo, because not only I found a good place for discovering Barcelona, but also I made new friends in that short time. ===== ===== ===== Hospedarme en el piso de Chiara completó mi maravilloso viaje de dos días a Barcelona - planeado apenas 1 día antes. Chiara respondió mi petición un par de horas después de enviarla, lo que me ayudó mucho a relajarme respecto al hospedaje. El piso es encantador, tal como lo describe Chiara. Tiene una decoración cálida, que harán que te sientas comfortable y relajado. Allí encontré interesantes libros de fotografía, y de Mafalda. Además, está muy cerca de lugares que querrás visitar. Estoy contento de haber visitado a Chiara y Marcelo, no sólo porque llegué a un buen sitio para descubrir Barcelona, sino porque hice nuevos amigos en un corto período de tiempo.

Jun 27, 2019Chiara and Marcelo are among the best hosts I have ever met. Marcelo cooks very well and he is an open-minded and easygoing guy, Chiara has the typical Italian positive attitude and is ready to help for everything you might need. If you want to enjoy your spare time while keeping your private time when you need it this is the best option to consider. The apartment in a nice and quite zone is well equipped. Wifi works well and from the balcony there is an amazing view. I definitely recommend it!
Jun 27, 2019I really enjoyed staying at this apartment. It's very charm, cozy and well located. You can easily go to the center, to the beach, to Sagrada Familia or to the parties. Chiara and Marcelo are amazing hosts. I had the opportunity to try some nice meals and chatting with them. I highly recommend staying there. Hope to meet you guys someday.

Jun 27, 2019Julia and I had a wonderful stay with Chiara and Marcelo. The bedroom was a little small but more important was the friendship we gained. We slept well and also had a nice time just hanging out when we needed a rest from the busy city. It was like we had known our hosts for a long time. And the location was great. We would stay again with Chiara and Marcelo if we return to Barcelona.
Jun 27, 2019The colorfull flat and flowered balcony makes you feel the air and the particular ambience of Barcelona. The flat invites you every morning to wake up with your coffee, sit in the balcony and enjoy the view and the sun of the city. Moreover, the apprtment takes place in the middle between the beach and the center in a calm street. Perfect to take advantage of everything. Finally Chiara and Marcelo ( and GianCarlo) are really really nice persons and will make you feel like home. We laughed a lot ! WE RECOMMEND !!! :-D El piso colorado con su balcón florido te hace sentir el aire y el ambiente particular de Barcelona. El piso te invita cada mañana a despertarte con tu café, sentarte fuera en el balconcillo, admirando la vista bonita y sentir el sol iluminando la ciudad. Ademas, el piso se encuentra a la mitad de la playa y del centro en una calle calma. Perfecto para aprovechar de todo. Jun 27, 2019My stay at Chiara's place was very nice. With the housemate Marcello I had a lovely dinner and I felt very welcome in the house. The location is nice because your are only few minutes walking away from the Born area and directly surrounded by parcs (Ciutadella park) and the Arc de Triomph. Eventhough the house is lively the room is very private and clean. Chiara's place is a perfect choice if you like to be close to the city centre.
Jun 27, 2019Chiara and Marcelo are very friendly hosts and their flat is the most colorful we have ever seen. It is located next to Ciutadella Parc and you can go easily to Born ang gothic area, Sagrada Familia, beach and most of the museums. We have been with our two-year boy and Chiara and Marcelo were so welcoming that we and our babyboy felt at home :) Thank you both for your warmth at this rainy days, it was so nice time to us. We recommend it!
Jun 27, 2019Nous avons passé une semaine dans l'appartement de Chiara et de son colocataire Marcelo. Très bien situé, l'appartement permet d'être dans un quartier calme et de rejoindre le centre à pied. Nous n'avons jamais rencontré Chiara mais Marcelo était très accueillant et s'efforçait de se faire comprendre malgré le peu d'anglais qu'il maîtrise. Si vous cherchez une "auberge espagnole" c'est celle-ci qu'il vous faut, il y aura toujours du monde en transit. Petit bémol le lit est assez étroit et il faut se faire à une fenêtre en plexi sans volets.
Jun 27, 2019Llegar a la casa de Chiara y Marcelo fué literalmente un respiro. La casa y la habitación son muy lindas, limpia, muy bien ubicadas con respecto a los lugares principales para recorrer. Puedes moverte desde allí a pié o con el metro que está a escasos metros. En cuanto a los anfitriones, son los mejores que he tenido en todo el viaje, siempre disupuestos a colaborar, divertidos, serviciales. Volvería una y otra y otra vez a Barcelona, en parte por gente como ellos. Gracias chicos!!!!!
Jun 27, 2019We stayed for five days int the flat in june 2013. We had greats moments at this flat. It was a really good experience. The reception was warm, friendly, smily ! Sincerely, Chiara and Marcelo are the best host that we ever had. We can share with them, talk, laught ! The flat is nice, very agredable and well located. We highly recommanded the host and the flat, dont' hesitate if you're looking fot a flat in Barcelona. We hope we will have the opportunity to get back !! J&D

Jun 27, 2019I was in Barcelona for a conference and needed a room for 4 nights. I chose Chiara and Mercelo's apartment because of the location and the posted reviews of them. They were as friendly as described in the previous reviews, and I enjoyed my stay there. Every morning, Mercelo made me a cup of coffee and bread, and also when I was there in the afternoons working, he offered me lunch he made (which was delicious!). There is a supermarket down in the corner where you can buy water, bread, etc. I would stay there when I am in Bercelona.
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful eight days at Chiara. She and her friend Marcelo are very frendly and helpful people, it was a pleasure talking with them. The room was nice and clean, the flat has a great view to the city. It is located in a central location, we could reach the center on foot, catch the suburban trains to Costa Brava and travel with the buses from the near central bus station. Thanks you guys for the great time!
Jun 27, 2019We absolutely loved our stay with Chiara and Marcelo. They were both so kind and accommodating, Chiara even made us some lovely food on arrival. This was our last stop on a trip interrailing through Europe and it was the perfect place to finish our travels, it was so relaxing and easy going. The apartment was within walking distance to the beach and the main promenade and also about 15 minute walk from Sagrada Famillia. Very close to the metro and surrounded by lovely parks and restaurants. We highly recommend this accommodation and the very friendly hosts :)

Jun 27, 2019Chiara was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and taken care of. The flat was nice, very well decorated and provided for. I would definitely recommend staying there to anyone. My only complaint is the mattress, which wasn't as nice as I would have preferred, but it's a minor issue with an otherwise excellent host.

Chiara is a very nice person, the view from the balcony is great and it's very close to everything that matters. I would recommend to everyone!

Jun 27, 2019I had a fantastic time in Barcelona staying at Chiara's place. Although she was not there for most of my stay her (Hidden by Airbnb) were very accommodating and friendly. The flat is situated very conveniently located close to the Parc de la Ciutadella and only a short walk to Plaça de Catalunya and the gothic quarter of the city where you can find all sorts of bars and restaurants. The flat itself is clean, spacious and well furnished, perfect for a short stay or even a longer one. I'd recommend Chiara's place to anyone who wants to Barcelona and the Catalan lifestyle whilst living with some great people. Awesome!

Jun 27, 2019Hola! Nice and clean apartment, good view and fresh air. Creative design. Marcelo and his friends are helpful and friendly. We love Marcelo and Giampaulo. Marcelo very nice person even he speaks English a little. Giampaulo ready to advice smth or support any conversation. Bright and interesting Italian. Come to this place. Location is great: sea, city Centre, bus station and metro, supermarket all in best availability. We as family with kid loved this place and this company. Cheers guys!

Main attractions of the city are easily reacheable on foot and it is also convenient to do the airport trip by Renfe since there is a close station. Thanks for everything. Jun 27, 2019Marcelo was a very welcoming, accommodating, easy going and discrete host. Even though he spoke little English he still found ways to helpfully communicate things we wanted to find out and as an experienced host anticipated many of our needs, having maps, flyers and tourist information on hand. Through Marcelo we met many interesting people and this contributed greatly to the enjoyment of our stay. It was so much more than just a tourist destination. The apartment is just a 10 walk from the old section of Barcelona and even closer to the metro rail network. From the Balcony you can admire the Gaudi Cathedral as it is being built. We had a great stay, walked everywhere on foot, and would thoroughly recommend this to people who want to be close to the city centre.

Jun 27, 2019We stayed with Marcelo in Barcelona for 1 week and had a wonderful time. The room and apartment was always neat and clean and his coffees in the mornings were delicious. The location of the apartment is perfect if you want to stay in the city centre, but in a very quiet area. Although people have mentioned having difficulty with Marcelo's lack of English, we had no issue communicating with him. His recommendations on what to do and where to eat were always perfect. We would definitely stay here again next year!! Thank you for your hospitality Marcelo!
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful time with Marcelo who is exceedingly kind and helpful despite the slight language barriere. Apart from being in walking distance to both the Gothic Quarter and the beach, the apartment also has a lovely balcony where you can sip your morning espresso (courtesy of Marcelo) and enjoy the view of the city and even catch a glimpse of Sagrada Familia in the distance.
Jun 27, 2019U Marcela spędziliśmy 4 noce. Marcelo jest bardzo przyjaznym człowiekiem. Chętnie udzielał pomocy i przydatnych porad. Łatwo nawiązuje kontakty. Pobyt w jego mieszkaniu był niekrępujący. Mieszkanie jest skromnie wyposażone, ale w zupełności wystarczająco. Usytuowane jest na 5 piętrze. Jest winda. Na balkonie można wypić kawę patrząc na Sagrada Familia i wzgórze Tibidabo. Lokalizacja jest świetna. Bardzo blisko jest na stare miasto i do metra. Na plażę można dojść w 15 minut.
Jun 27, 2019We stayed at Marcellos place for 2 nights and everything worked out really well.The booking and communication with Marcello via airbnb was very easy and quick, he gave us an exact description of how to get there from the airport. His flat is clean and just around the corner of Arc de Triomfe which means you can easily explore everything by foot. Also it is just a 10min walk to the beach. Marcello was such a nice host, he welcomed us when we arrived, spoiled us with very good coffee and even had some Barcelona guides that we could borrow. Our room was simple but charming and neat and we really appreciated the good wifi. All in all it was a nice trip and we would definitely recommend this place and stay there if we came to Barcelona again.

Jun 27, 2019Our time in Barcelona was amazing!! Marcelo is a very lovely man who happily welcomes you. He is always glad to help and has advices, maps and beers prepared for you ;) Although he always tells you his english is so bad he knows enough english to show you arround. The rooms were tidy and clean. As was the bathroom. His appartment isn't located directly in the center but its still only a nice walking distance of 10 minutes to get to the main Plazas. not to forget the view out of the balcony from where you can see the Sagrada Familia. Jun 27, 2019Marcelo is a great host, kind and helpful, and his place is super clean and comfortable. I arrived there with a cold and I was tired after two nights of poor sleeping in the Ramblas (which is noisy), and Marcelo offered me tea with lemon. His place is quiet but central, an easy walk to the beach, the picasso museum, and to the ramblas. He's close to the Arc de Triomfo metro station.
Jun 27, 2019Marcelo is an extremely friendly and cheerful guy, with excellent Spanish and Italian, nice rooms and a good coffee maker. He goes out of his way to be nice, the apartment is clean and pleasant, and the location is perfect for going into the centre of town or up to the Sagrada Familia.

Qualche volta ci ha fatto assaggiare anche i suoi piatti! =D A tutte le domande e problemi che gli abbiamo posto è stato sempre gentile e puntuale nelle sue risposte. Every time I go to Barcelona I go there as the place is really convenient being close to Arc de Triump, the sea, the characteristic Born area and there are lots of facilities (supermarket, metro, etc.) really close by. As for the flat, there is an excellent wifi connection and being in the fifth floor the view of Barcelona from the balcony is astonishing!

Jun 27, 2019Marcelo is an excellent host! He allows you to drop off your things in the apartment even before check in time- to take a shower, eat.. untill your room gets ready. He is really easy going, truly no muss, no fuss kinda guy! He was gone most of our stay in Barca so we basicaly had apartment to ourselves, but while he was in, he was helpful giving us directons to cool beaches and things we could/should see. He was also available whilest he was gone for any kind of questions. Apartmant location is great, you can easily access the beach as well as the city centre by foot. If you like, there is metro station 5min wlaking distance from the apartment. Marcelo's english is not best, but it charming. (Hidden by Airbnb) translate, a bit of spanish, a bit of english and voila :) I would definitely come back at Marcelo's place when in Barca and I recommend it to everyone!

Jun 27, 2019Marcelo is a great host! We rent a room in Marcelo's flat for 7 nights, and he was always helpful, friendly, funny and talkative with us, when we met. He gave an umbrella, when we went to the beach, and last evening he made some special tapas for us. The apartment isn't an five star hotel, but we have everything, what we need. I have to mention that the bathroom was clean every day. The location is so good, the beach and gothic quarter is also 10-15 minutes walk. On the balcony we can see Tibidabo and Sagrada Familia. In this area has many supermarkets, little shops, greengocer's, and coffee shops. The long and short of it, I recomend warm-heartedly Marcelo's flat. :)
Jun 27, 2019Had a great stay, i was only there for one night and the host made sure I was settled and happy. The apartment was clean and tidy, perfect location as its close to the metro so can get into the heart of the city very easily. I will stay there again another time for sure.

Jun 27, 2019This flat has the most wonderful location, it has the sea, many sights and parks nearby. The room is bright, colorful. It is not far from the center of Barcelona, a lot of cafes, restaurants and shops. We had funny neighbors in the flat. The host was very nice and took care about our arriving. I advise to take it!
