If you are coming from JFK airport there are some shuttle bus services. One of them are called "nycairporter". You can check online for schedule and price. The closest stop to our building is 'Port Authority' stop, which is few blocks from our building. By subway, please take E train from JFK, and get off at 50th street or Port Authority station. El anuncio era totalmente fiel a la realidad, la ubicación es excelente, estas pegado al centro pero sin estar con todo el barullo del centro, y en una calle con amplia y variada oferta gastronómica. La habitación y el baño recién reformados, como en las fotos. Y el anfitrión disponible en todo momento ; )
Jun 27, 2019We had a very enjoyable stay at this location. It is in a great location of Hell's Kitchen with all kinds of bars and restaurants nearby. The wifi worked well. The kitchen is communal with other tenants of the building. Yasu and Akiko were cordial hosts who made it easy to get settled into the room.
Jun 27, 2019Upon arrival, our code to the room did not work. Luckily, the previous guest showed up and let us in with his password. He was also gracious enough to give us 3 metro cards that we were able to use during our stay, so thank you Bang! The location itself is well situated on Restaurant Row without feeling too touristy. The room was clean and all the furnishings were new. Overall, a nice place to stay to be close to most of the typical tourist attractions of Manhattan.
Jun 27, 2019The place is not as great as it is publicized. In addition, when we reached, the place was not clean. Yasu and Akiko, after trying to reach them couple of times, responded after 45mins. They were patient in listening to my frustration and they apologized. They got the cleaning person to the place right away. They refunded 50% of my payment and I appreciated that. So overall, they are reasonable hosts. Having said that, I will NOT stay there again. Put simply, I would NOT use airbnb again. I could have obtained a good double bed hotel room for similar price and there is nothing extra that I gained by using airbnb (or this place). An unwanted piece of advise: do not use airbnb, especially, in NYC.
Jun 27, 2019Este fue en realidad un lugar maravilloso, muy cómodo, limpio y seguro, las habitaciones están muy bien equipadas, las camas excelentes Y el baño con todo lo mínimo necesario pero lo mejor de todo fue la ubicación, caminábamos unos pocos minutos y ya estábamos en el time square.
Jul 27, 2019The room is nice, clean and newly remodeled. The pictures are very accurate. Convenient neighborhood close to subways and theaters. Slightly noisy on weekends due to bar/restaurant downstairs but thats expected in NYC. Good value.

It was clean and simply decorated, had everything we needed for our stay, including Internet access, toiletries, and access to a kitchen! It was incredibly simple to get in and felt secure and safe. A perfect place for us, we will return! Thanks for a great stay!
Jun 27, 2019It was a very pleasant stay. The location is great, the room nice and clean. Yasu and Akiko were wonderful hosts - responsive, kind-hearted, and always have the guests' need in mind. My parents who had their first trip to New York had a great time. We'd be happy to stay here again if we visit NYC in the future. Thank you for having us!
Jun 27, 2019This place is more like a hotel without a reception desk. We stayed here for a few days with another couple, total of 4 people and it was just great. The location is so convenient with great transportation, walking distance to many restaurants and sightseeing spots. It is extremely clean and fairly quiet for the location. The rooms are big and comfortable, my husband loved the bed. Just a note, this place does not have an elevator and has steep stairs to go to any floor, so carrying a suitcase up or down is challenging if you have a lot or heavy stuff. Still, I would recommend staying here and would return for sure! We never met Yasu or Akiko but we met the housecleaning lady who was so sweet and helpful. Thank you and we hope to come back very soon!

Jun 27, 2019This was a really great location if you are looking to be by Times Square - only a couple blocks away! Access into the building and room was by key code so no keys needed. Our room was on the 3rd floor which was fine. Room and bathroom were impeccably clean like a nice hotel, so it was a great deal for the price we got. Only issue was the ad said cable TV but there was no cable box or connection in the room, so the TV didn't work while we were there. A couple people came by the first day to try to fix it but couldn't & said someone would come the next day but that didn't happen. I didn't mind but my fiancé really wanted to watch ESPN since football season just started. I think the room was really nice & bathroom was clean (super important to me!), 2 full size beds & futon were good size, so accommodated the 3 of us visiting, and there was even a futon so our friends who visited could relax. Very easy access to restaurants, convenient stores - as soon as you walked outside. I would definitely consider staying here again.
Jun 27, 2019Yasu and Akiko were VERY accommodating and awesomely nice from the beginning. I needed to change my travel days multiple times, and they were always there to answer my questions, inquiries, and concerns. When we checked into our room, it was very immaculate. There were clean towels ready for use, and they also provided body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The whole apartment environment was clean. The kitchen on the second floor was readily available for use, and it was always nice to see friendly guests passing by. The only thing that struck us oddly (not in a bad way), was the fact that there was cleaning personnel on location. Therefore, the apartment felt more like a hotel than an apartment. I guess the cleaning lady cleans your room everyday unless you inform her not to. A random and weird experience we had one day was when we got back to our room and there were people (workers) in our bathroom changing out the towel rack. It would've been nice if they fixed the towel rack after we checked out, but what's done is done. We would definitely stay at this apartment again! The location was perfect, there are A LOT of eateries in the area (Hell's Kitchen), and it felt safe. Plus, the hosts were very helpful and genuine.

Jun 27, 2019The appartment was excactly as described and it was very clean. Good large room with two doublebeds and extra sofa and a very nice and functional bathroom. It was very near to Time Square and all the attractions. There is a little kitchen at the 2. floor. The only drawback was a rather noisy discoteque or bar nearby which was opened until late. We never actually met the hosts, but we didn't miss anything and didn't try to contact them, so this was fine. We would certainly recommend this accomodation to others and would chose it again if we should return to New York some day.

Jun 27, 2019The room is specious, clean and cozy; has some hotel vibe, and I really like it. I wish there were outputs close to our beds though. When we checked in there was some miscommunication and we waited outside of another room for an hour, it was quite unpleasant honestly. Host has been fairly responsive and offer a new room eventually, I really appreciate that.
Jun 27, 2019La estadía con Yasu y Akiko fue excelente, la ubicación del hospedaje es muy céntrica y muy buena para conocer los principales lugares turísticos de NY, se podía caminar a muchos lugares desde este punto. La habitación muy limpia y tal como lo describían en la página. Las instrucciones para el check in y la llegada al lugar fueron claras y explicativas y la respuesta de los anfitriones rápida ante dudas y cambios de fechas que tuvimos que hacer a última hora. Lo único incomodo fue que teníamos muchas maletas y nuestra habitación era en el tercer piso y la subida y bajada de las maletas tantas gradas y sin ascensor fue pesado.
Jun 27, 2019Pros: The room are good, clean and specious enough for 4 persons. The location is exactly as described very close to Times Square. The location also near to many restaurant. The building is secure. Be prepare with all the code to enter the the building and the room. No one will help you. Cons: Difficult to get parking space especially on weekend. There are 2 or 3 public parking (1 and 3 block distance) it cost USD30 to 40 per 13h.
Jun 27, 2019Best place. This place is one reason our entire NYC trip went very well. Everything is few blocks away. All the reviews written here are already detail enough. I don't want to repeat them again! We will stay anytime. Thanks to hosts. The lady in the house did not speak english but she is sweet and warmth. Very helpful. There is a bar in the same building, it was fantastic and cozy. Do visit the bar. If you're looking for to interact with hosts, may be, this is not the place. Someone said this place looks like a hotel without front desk. That's true. Like many other said we also could not get a chance to meet the hosts. But its okay given you're here to enjoy NYC.

Jun 27, 2019El departamento es tal cual se describe en las fotografías. La ubicación del edificio es impagable, cerca de varios puntos de interés. Nuestro depto daba al interior, por lo que no sentíamos los ruidos de la calle. La comunicación con el anfitríon fue muy buena, siempre respondiendo a nuestras consultas a los pocos minutos. El check in es a las 15:00 y el check out a las 11:00. Por lo que si llegan antes o salen más tarde, el edificio dispone en los pisos 2 y 3 de cadenas de bicicleta con llave para que dejen las maletas seguras y puedan salir a pasear. Las duchas tienen dispensadores de shampoo, jabón y acondicionador. En el baño también disponen de papel higiénico, el cual pueden pedir reponer cuando se termine. Recomiendo absolutamente estos departamentos. Muchas gracias al anfitrión.

We were also allowed to leave our luggage with locks provided. Yasu and Akiko was easily reachable during our stay. I highly recommend this place.

Jun 27, 2019The location is perfect. Literally a 2-3 min walk to Times Sq. There are so many local restaurants nearby to fill anyone's appetite. Must suggest, on 9th around the corner is Amy's Bakery, a must. The room was perfect. 2 beds that were comfortable and a very large bathroom. I really didn't use the kitchen on the second floor but many others who stayed there did. I never met the host, but really didn't need to. The directions he sends to you gives you all the information needed to get into your room and he makes it very easy to get a hold of him through messaging. I'd stay again! And housekeeping was helpful and very nice!

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is situated in a great part of Manhattan, literally close to everything by foot from Times Square to the Empire State Building and Central Park. There are also a lot of good restaurants and bars nearby that you can choose from, but at the same time the apartment is nice and quiet. Everything was very tidy and clean and all our neighbours were very friendly. I would highly recommend staying here, its a great value for money.

Muy cómodo las cerraduras con código. Excelente ubicación, a dos cuadras del time. Dejamos las valijas temprano y volvimos a las horas para tomar la habitación y ningún problema. Volvería sin pensarlo. Esta en una cuadra llena de bares .. muy lindo!

Jun 27, 2019Unbeatable location, but if you are looking for a home feeling residential like most airbnb listing, this is not. It's more like a motel/inn type apartment complex with about 10 rooms. There isn't much common area, mostly are hall ways with a small kitchen area and a very small table. The host didn't response very promptly when we have questions. For the same high price, I think I can find a hotel with more amenity in that similar location.
Jun 27, 2019This find on Airbnb was an absolute gift. Yasu & Akiko were quick with their initial and ongoing communication when I began searching for a long weekend residence in NYC. Directions were fabulous and everything went very smooth. The room we stayed in slept 4 easily and was quaint, clean and quiet. The location was superb with everything you need right out the door. The public spaces we shared were also clean and very user friendly. I cannot recommend this place more highly. It is nothing 'fancy' per say and yet so inviting and economical. The woman who cleaned every day was also so helpful and kind.

Jun 27, 2019I would stay here again. The stay went smoothly. Check in was easy, the rooms were quite large and decorated basically, the bathrooms were very good too. The neighbors were very quite. We stayed on a Friday night. There seemed to be a lot of fun night life in the area, though we didn't partake. We could very dimly hear the street from the room until the bars closed, but this was not unexpected from low rise accommodations, and didn't cause any issue. Communication was quick and detailed. Jun 27, 2019My sister and I had a very comfortable stay at Yasu & Akiko's. The place was very clean and felt like a homely hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beds (especially the mattresses), the huge steam shower, the generous supply of fresh towels, and the well-sized closet with plenty of hangers and a drawer cart for keeping our things neat and tidy. As it was chilly when we were in NYC, being able to adjust the temperature of our own room was also a huge plus. Another perk was that the apartment was on a street just lined with restaurants (we tried Dim Sum Palace and it did not disappoint), and around the corner was a cute cafe called Amy's Bread. Getting to and from the place was easy via the subway - Yasu & Akiko provided very detailed directions, not to mention very thorough instructions regarding check-in/out and house rules. They were also great in responding quickly to questions. It was a short but such a comfortable stay for us, we wouldn't hesitate to book this place again and highly recommend it.
Jun 27, 2019Couldn't have asked for a better location. Two blocks from Times Square, right in the heart of Hell's Kitchen. Lots of food and cafes close by as well as laundromats and drug stores if you need anything. A safe neighbourhood. Couple things to note: steep, narrow stairs to get in and there is a bar downstairs that you will hear all night. It isn't as loud as you think it will be but nonetheless the noise is noticeable. Hosts communicated well and it was perfect for our family of four.

Jun 27, 2019Comfortable for four people. Convenient location - close to Time Square and Broadway, Port Authority Bus Terminal, and so many restaurant choices as described. Steep stairs that could be challenging for people with knee problems. Though we did not need them, there were bike locks provided inside!
Jun 27, 2019This place was perfect! Almost don't even want to review, so we can keep it our little secret for future stays! It felt like we had our very own apartment in NYC. There is a bar/club right next to the building, so the music could be heard a little at night (but it's nothing a white noise app can't drown out). It really wasn't a problem since we were usually so tired from our long day. Will definitely stay here again! Thanks so much!! :)

Jun 27, 2019Yasu and Akiko's place was ideal for people who come to explore the city. The place was a few blocks away from Times Square and great restaurants. Right by their apartments are a bunch of small restaurants so it was really easy to find something quick to eat. Wifi was perfect. I would consider this place perfect for a handful of friends who plan on just sleeping there and running around the city.
Jun 27, 2019The place was located at a convenient location. We mostly used Lyft/Uber/cab to get around, but if you preferred, the subway is at a walkable distance. The place is a walk-up, and the stairs can be a bit steep. But overall, the place was clean and quiet, and there are many restaurants nearby.

Jun 27, 2019酒店式公寓｡设施齐全｡卫生间的水流比较小,可能是为了降低成本｡客人们住二､三层,大概一共有十多间屋子｡有保洁员,见不到房主｡(现在的保洁员会说汉语,不知道以后的会不会｡)46街周边繁华,早晚不愁吃｡周边吃饭一定要问清价钱(MP餐),这几天被坑了好几次｡(特别点名街道对面的shokudo,日语:餐厅,名字起的很亲民,但是料理真的一般｡我牛肉饭12刀吃了个洋葱饭｡心疼)

Jun 27, 2019Yasu & Akiko's place in is such a convenient location. It is right by times square and there are so many places to eat and get drinks nearby! The room is nice and comes with a personal bathroom, towels, sheets, shampoo, conditioner, soap etc. There is also a futon which is nice if you have 3 people who don't want to share beds. If you have big bags, know that there are no elevators, so you will have to carry them up the stairs. The community kitchen only really has a stove. There are pots and stuff to cook with but if you want to reheat food, theres no microwave and there is no oven. Yasu and Akiko are great hosts and respond to messages quickly. It is a pretty good spot for the price and location.

Jun 27, 2019The room Yasu & Akiko provided was great and the location was superb. Walking distance from tons of nightlife, restaurants, Time Square, Grand Central, and other desirable NYC Amenities. The bathroom was private and luxurious, and the room was comfortable and quiet. I was hesitant at first because of the shared common space, but this room truly felt like your own private NYC escape, right in the heart of the action. Will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

I recommend this location as I have already told friends and family about this location if they are ever in NYC! Me personally would love to stay here again the next time I’m in NYC if the opportunity presented itself. 5stars for sure.

Jun 27, 2019The location of the Air BnB was great! Very close to Times Square, the subway and a lot of great restaurants. The place was very clean and comfortable to stay in. The only issue we had was with kitchen utensils. There was quite a limited supply of utensils to cook with which made it difficult to cook our own meals. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay here in New York!

Jun 27, 2019This place is amazing! There are countless restaurants around so that it's really convenient for us to find something to eat after 20+ hours flight. (The location is perfect!) Our room is big and clean, and also very quiet at night. Although we have to carry our luggage up to the third floor, which is hard without an elevator, I would definitely choose this place to stay again in the future.

The room is comfortable and quiet though the apartment is in the heart of the city, the bathroom is super clean. The host gives us very detailed, helpful information before our arrival, and quick in replying our messages. The only thing you may notice is that there's no elevators, so be prepared if you have huge suitcases. Definitely book again!

The check in system was smooth and it was nice to be able to drop our bags off in the hallway before we checked in too. The room itself was clean and quiet. We'd happily stay here again! Thanks!

Great tips, walking distance to just about everything in and around Time Sqaure. The "Taste of Time Square" was right in our front door, absolutely loved it!! A refreshen atmosphere!!

Jun 27, 2019This is a great location. Just a few minutes walk from Times Square and all Broadway theatres . It is also on the same block as one one of my favorite NYC theatre eateries—the famous “Joe Allen” restaurant. In addition this room had a private bath and a convenient shared kitchen downstairs. This is a find! I’ll be back.

Jun 27, 2019Wat een fantastisch verblijf! We kwamen rond 10:00 aan, ze waren toen net bezig met onze kamer schoonmaken. We mochten meteen onze bagage in de kamer zetten! De kamer was schoon, de bedden lagen fijn en de locatie is top. Op de dag van vertrek konden we onze bagage boven laten staan aan een fietsslot wat ook een goede oplossing was. Als ik terug ga naar NYC zou ik hier weer boeken!
Jun 27, 2019Lo bueno: ubicación excelente, lugar limpio y ambiente agradable. Lo malo: Control inexistente del comportamiento de los huéspedes, tuvimos problemas con ruidos molestos. Pasamos un día entero sin agua caliente, nos bañamos con agua muy fría, lo solucionaron al día siguiente. La cocina y la vajilla es tan limitada que casi no existe, no hay horno microonda (inexplicable), ni horno eléctrico, un vaso y dos tasas para 20 personas. Luces del techo de la habitación quemadas y enchufe del TV sin energía (no pudimos usar el TV), se reclamó su reparación y no hubo respuesta.

Jun 27, 2019The positive: The apartment is spacious with two beds and extremely clean. The modern bathroom is beautiful. The whole house air condition is a plus. The location is perfect to enjoy the Theatre District, Time Square, and sights of the city. The street, where the property is located, is lined with different restaurants and bars, perfect to enjoy a variety of foods and entertainment. The kitchen is very nice, with a clean large refrigerator, especially great for leftovers. Make sure that you bring your own coffee and mugs to enjoy the use of the coffee pot. The not so positive: The entire unit needs more lighting, both in the bedroom and the bathroom. The beds are hard and lumpy,. There was hot water in the shower Thursday night, after letting it run for 5 minutes, however, on Friday morning, the water never got hot and remained cold after 10 minutes of running.

There are several bars close by and while sleeping you can hear the music though out the night. Not terribly, but it woke both my husband and I up each night.
Jun 27, 2019Our accommodations were great! Literally 2 blocks from Times Square and right on Restaurant Row, and the 50th St. Subway station was so convenient. Couldn't ask for a better location. The unit was so clean, and it was nice to have the common area kitchen and things like a hair dryer, iron, and more. So easy to come & go with the keycodes on both the building and the room - no keys to keep up with. The ability to lock up our luggage to enjoy our day after check-out was awesome - secured inside the building but outside the unit. Worth every penny of our stay and we will definitely be back.
Jun 27, 2019Yasu and Akiko provided us with a great Airbnb experience. It was set up very similar to a hotel (shared kitchen with multiple different rooms in the building). Our room had our own bathroom, beds, and a closet in the hall that provided linens, towels, etc.. it had security cameras throughout the premises is and key codes to get in the building and our personal rooms. It is a very quiet area, it was so close to Times Square, and it provided us with a great first experience in New York. If you are looking for a laid back experience, this is a great place to sleep. Thanks for giving us a a great experience!

Jun 27, 2019While it is not very large, three adults and one child stayed comfortably here. The location is fantastic!! There is a subway station nearby but Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Chelsea Market, and plenty of restaurants and activities are all within walking distance. The host was on-site and very accommodating. Enough linens and basic toiletries were provided for us all and the unit was very clean. This rental was much more than we expected and we highly recommend it!

Jun 27, 2019Place is clean, quiet, comfortable! Fantastic location, everything is within walking distance! Has a classic NYC walk-up iron gate and stone stairs. Check-in is super simple and they even provide an area to drop your bags (with locks) if you arrive before the 3pm check-in. A few minutes walk from restaurants, bars, pharmacies, Times Square, clothing stores. There are some great live music bars literally next door (and I couldn't hear them from my room!) and the street is well-lit in the evening. 24hr parking is available a few blocks away. For your own reference, the parking company charged me $48 USD for one 24 hour period in January of 2019, but the prices could change at their discretion, obviously. I really enjoyed my stay, and I would definitely recommend this place!!

I saw my bedsheet being changed before moving in and the floor was super clean that I feel comfortable to walk around to room barefoot. Even though I didn’t get to see the host, both check-in and check out process were easy. This location is perfect for a two-night stay.
