Jun 27, 2019Ben was friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect. A great place!
Jun 27, 2019Ben was a quiet but lovely host, offering us a chance to drop off our bags and accommodating our schedule. The room was just as described, small but comfortable. The bed was comfortable (although a little chilly!) and Ben laid out towels for us to use. The location is great. We were able to easily walk to St Marks and other spots in the LES within 10-15 minutes. I found the area to be very nice and the room to be clean- but my mother (who is used to overpaying for a room at the Hilton) found the area a bit dark and the room/bathroom not quite as clean as she would have hoped. This feedback is of course relative- as someone who has stayed at Airbnbs and hostels around the world, I found the space very comfortable and reasonably priced for NYC. I would definitely recommend staying with Ben for anyone who is comfortable staying in a lived-in apartment and walking a block or two through less busy streets.
