Neighborhood Overview
The Cais de Gaia is the Port wine cellars district, with the best views overlooking Porto´s historic center. It is a very pleasent riverfront, with aerial cable cars, plenty of local and international restaurants. Even though this area is highly visited by tourists it´s really pleasant, clean and quiet. This apartment is less than one minute walking to the D Luiz I bridge and Ribeira, Porto. There are several bus stops nearby. You can chose direction beach or city. As you may see in our photos, there are many boat cruises passing by the Douro all along the day. Better than seing this beautiful scenario, you can step abord and go for a 1 hour cruise, just in front. Other cruises options are available.

Transit
Some 20m from the D. Luis bridge, crossing to Porto´s Ribeira district. Bus stop and car park just across the street. Nearest metro station: Jardim do Morro, which is just by the aerial cable car station and the Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar. Coming from the airport: Subway to Trindade At Trindade, pick the 901 or 906 bus, direction Valadares or Madalena and exit at the 1st stop after the D Luiz bridge.

Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment. If this rule is not respected, we will retain the security deposit. Sleeping hours of neighbourhood should be respected. No parties allowed. Please, respect the space. We don´t charge a cleaning fee but, in case the apartment is left exceptionaly dirty, we will keep 40€ from the security deposit. Jun 27, 2019Nous avions initialement pensé rester 3 jours, nous nous sommes décidé pour 7 tellement nous étions bien dans cet appartement et dans cette ville. Le logement récemment fait à neuf offre sans doute la plus belle vue qu'on puisse imaginer sur Porto et deviendra sans doute un des lieux incontournables d'AirBnB, et nous aurions pu rester rêver à notre fenêtre tout le séjour, si les conseils prodigués par Marcelo ne nous avaient mené à la découverte de la ville et notamment de ses parcs magnifiques. Tout en respectant notre intimité, nos hôtes étaient toujours disponibles pour nous renseigner ou nous rendre service. Nous reviendrons certainement.

Jul 27, 2019My kids and I stayed in this apartment the first week of August. It was a wonderful experience! We received a very warm welcome and support throughout our stay. The apartment has a perfect location. It offers in my opinion one of the best views of a Porto, and is just 5 minutes walk from the town center. The apartment is well equipped for a short stay. You will find good quality towels in the bathroom, and comfortable beds. There is no air conditioning, but we did not miss it at all, although we always had sunny days. Marcelo provided us a fan, but even that was switched off all the time. I would definitely recommend it!
Jun 27, 2019We were rather late in the evening arriving to Porto but Marcelo and Marcelo Jr were available to help us find the apartment and to help carry in our luggage. Marcelo gave us a long and detailed list of places to visit and suggestions for dining. The apartment is even more stunning than the photos with beautiful views of Porto. A bottle of Port wine, fruit and Portuguese tarts awaited. The apartment is perfectly situated across the bridge from the famous banks of the city. This is perfect for several reasons. Most importantly, you wake to an incredible view. The walk across the bridge is about 5 minutes. The yellow bus stops a block away from the apartment - would highly recommend this. The Port Wine Cellars are at your doorstep. It's absolutely amazing. Marcelo's Family, our stay in Porto was unforgettable. Thank you for hosting us in your little piece of paradise!

Jun 27, 2019We have explored Porto during our stay in the nice flat of Marcello and Ana for 4 days in August 2015. Everything was best. We´ve enjoyed very kind and friendly hosts and a new renovated tasteful furnished flat with an exciting view on the Douro and Ribeira, we think personally, you can´t find a better experience with this incredible vistapoint. Marcello and Ana and their son welcomed us with a bottle of fine porto. First they thought, we are lost and phoned us careing, while we were sitting in the metro coming from the airport. The flat is easy to find. Trust on Marcello´s description. Ribeira is only a short walk over the bridge. The bakery Soares is near, so you can get your “petit pans “etc. for foreigners on a very low pricelevel for your breakfast. A few very small supermarkets with trading the essentials are around. Jun 27, 2019Marcello and Marcello Jr. made us feel very welcome at their apartment in Porto, going above and beyondour expectations. They were very flexible, especially with the initial meeting key exchange. Also, very prompt and helpful with information before and during our stay, helping us with a taxi booking the night before departure. The apartment itself was above expectations and lived up to the photos. It was clean, functional and obviously recently renovated to a quality standard. The view of the river from the main room was simply amazing, which I impressed the rest of my family with. The neighbourhood is safe and is pretty much as central to the action in Porto as you can get!
Jun 27, 2019My boyfriend and I splurged a bit to have this beautiful apartment to ourselves and it was worth every penny and more! Marcelo and Marcelo Jr. were extremely responsive as soon as we made our booking and were waiting for us in front of the apartment as soon as we arrived to greet us. We've stayed in a lot of apartment rentals and they are the absolute sweetest hosts we have had the pleasure of meeting :). We were greeted with port wine and pastries, in addition to recommendations for the area. The apartment is exactly as described, if not better. The place is immaculately maintained with nice, clean design and the views are phenomenal to wake up to. We were only in town for three nights so did not make much use of the kitchen as we wanted to experience as much of the local food as possible. We ate very well on both the Porto and Gaia neighborhoods. The location is right on the River Douro across from Porto, right near the bridge. We enjoyed the quick 5-10 min walk across the bridge to Porto to explore the historic center, taking in the views and exploring the neighborhood on foot. It's a bit more quiet on the Gaia side which we appreciated and in our opinion the better side to stay on for easy access, better views and a bit more quiet to come home to each night. We would come back and recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat!

Jun 27, 2019Marcelo and Ana were amazing hosts - they made our stay in Porto an unforgettable experience. Upon checkin, they had even prepared some Port Wine and delicious tartes for us. They were super helpful with all sort of local information and even booked our airport transfer for us as we don't speak Portuguese. The condo is in a super central area with a magnificent view onto the Duoro River. We definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting Porto and its famos Port Wine cellars which are located right next door.

Le logement est superbe, très propre, lit confortable et surtout vue magnifique sur le vieux Porto. Bref très bon logement, peut être un peu cher mais il vaut son prix et je recommande.

Jun 27, 2019Marcelo and Marcelo Jnr were charming and helpful in every respect. They were also very flexible with us regarding check in times as we had flights at strange times. The apartment was simply beautiful and the attention to detail outstanding. Every one talks about the view and I won't be an (Website hidden by Airbnb) was spectacular. We loved staying out of the centre of Porto.. That was my choice as I prefer a less busy side of town. We hadn't realised Porto was so hilly so be prepared to do lots of walking up hills with good comfortable shoes. Marcelo and Marcelo Jnr we would like to thank you for an exceptional stay
Jun 27, 2019Spent one night here and wished we could stay longer! Probably the best views you can get in Porto, overlooking the river, the bridge and the historic center. The apartment was very nice, newly upgraded and clean. Our hosts Marcelo and Marcelo jr were very welcoming and had complimentary port wine and pastries waiting for us upon arrival. They were helpful with everything from taxi booking to giving recommendations on what to do in Porto. We highly recommend this place! Best regards Maria and Hallgeir, Norway.

Jun 27, 2019L'accueil a été chaleureux et efficace avec assez de retenue pour ne pas être intrusif. Parfait. Marcello junior parle un excellent Français. L'accès en voiture est assez difficile et relève un peu du rallye, mais l'arrivée est tellement éblouissante qu'on oublie tout. Laisser la voiture au parking en face et utiliser les transports en commun très bien conçus. La situation est idéale, la vue inouïe, dans cette catégorie on ne peut pas rêver d'un meilleur produit
Jun 27, 2019Marcelo's flat has the most amazing views and location. The flat itself is also beautiful, with a crisp, clean, white design. When we arrived at the flat, there were custard tarts and port, which was a great welcoming treat! We didn't actually meet Marcelo, but he was flexible with our check-in time and sent us messages on occasion throughout our trip to make sure we were okay, see if we needed anything, and help us arrange a taxi back to the airport.

Jun 27, 2019We had a FABULOUS stay at Marcelo´s Airbnb!!! The apartment is in the best location you can be, just perfect!!! The neighborhood is very calm and the views from the apartment are spectacular. A real postcard! The place is spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. The appliances are new and top quality. Very, very comfortable beds and high quality bed and bath linen. This was by far, the best place we stayed during our Europe tour. Marcelo and Ana are perfect hosts, so helpful, kind and friendly. We would most definitely stay here again and highly recommend this wonderful place to everyone. Thank you Marcelo and Ana. Jun 27, 2019Accueil parfaite de la part des propriétaires. La vue est magnifique. 10 mn a pied du centre. Cependant si vous décidez de partir pendant l hiver, l isolation est mediocre, il fait donc un froid de gueux ! De meme si vous avez l attention de vous faire à manger cela va poser problème tant le réfrigérateur est minuscule et la cuisine pas fonctionnelle du tout. Experience moyenne sauf la vue mais bon on reste pas toute la journée dans l appart..

Jun 27, 2019We had a lovely stay at the Riverfront apartment. Marcelo en Marcelo jr. made us feel very welcome with a glass of port and a special sweet treat. The apartment was roomy and spotlessly clean with a very good bed. And... the view is really spectaculair. Walking distance from the big Port houses, the Luis I bridge and the cable car. Would certainly recommend this apartment.
Jun 27, 2019Marcelo and Marcelo Jr. welcomed us at the apartment in such a timely manner. To say that Marcelo and his son were great hosts is an understatement!! They truly bent over backwards to make sure my mom and I had a comfortable stay. We had a last minute dilemma with our boarding passes and they took the pleasure of helping us get it fixed. They welcomed us with some Port wine and Pasteis de Nata along with a list of suggestions of what to do/see/eat in the city. Seriously, I have never been hosted by more hospitable, warm hearted people. The bed was sooo comfortable, the heater worked perfectly, the whole space was so clean (and I'm very picky about the cleanliness of a place), and of course, the view was phenomenal. thank you so much Marcelo! We loved our stay and we love your country!

Jun 27, 2019We were first greeted by Marcelo's wife, Ana. She was quite lovely and flexible in meeting us at the apartment. The apartment is beautiful. There were traditional Portuguese pastries and port wine waiting for us. The kitchen was equipped with coffee and filters which was very nice. The second bedroom is a bit small with two twin beds, but it was very comfortable. The apartment is beautiful and the location is perfect. Walking distance to everything on either side of the river with port cellars everywhere. Thank you Marcelo and Ana!

La vue est réellement magnifique et l'appartement est très propre et très bien entretenu. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Marcello et son fils qui nous ont donné les informations utiles et offert un porto d'accueil. Ils sont restés joignables tout le séjour. Jun 27, 2019Very nice apartment fully refurbished on the shore of Gaia, in front of the historic center of Porto, close to the cellars. The location is ideal and the view superb. The historic center is 5 minutes away (Luis 1 bridge to cross). Very good connection to transportation (metro 5 minutes away and station 10 minutes). The owners are really nice people and helping you to find the right places to visit. A very nice stay!

Jun 27, 2019Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr willkommen gefühlt. Unser Gastgeber hatte für uns Portwein und Natas als Begrüßung. Ich könnte mir keine bessere Lage für die Unterkunft vorstellen. Es ist alles wie beschrieben und der Ausblick ist grandios. Das Apartment ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Jun 27, 2019La vue est remarquable et le quartier de nova vita de caia est la ou il faut etre à porto. Marcelo est tres serviable et tres disponible. Peut commander un taxi. Accueil en francais. Appartement tres bien équipé ( sauf frigo trop petit). Tout est prévu ( sel poivre café huile...) rien à acheter. En plus delicates attentions à l accueil mais j en laisse la surprise. Appart pas trop grand et peut etre un peu bruyant vu la localisation. mais on ne peut pas tout avoir compte tenu de la vue. Il y a des petits magasins pas loin et le marche le samedi. On peut aller via une navette gratuite au grand magasin corto ilglese pas loin mais courses limitées a cause de la taille du frigo
Jun 27, 2019Marcelo and Ana were wonderful hosts. Even though we did not get to know them personally, they replied within minutes and made our stay wonderful. We arrived by car and the car park near the S. Luis bridge is just across the street. When we entered the flat, there was a warm and bright energy. The view was absolutely stunning! Everything was so comfy and clean. We loved every bit of it and really felt at home! The location is definitely another plus. By passing the bridge, you can reach the ribeira and discover the city. Or just down the street, you can ride a boat and make a six bridges tour on the douro. We experienced so many things in Porto and were always happy to come back to the flat. So, muito, muito obrigado to Marcelo and Ana who made this possible!
Jul 27, 2019Great accomodation with the best location in Porto next to the port wineries and just 200 metres from the old town with the best views from the living room. Very clean and well appointed. Definitely a great place to stay in Porto, would repeat next time in Porto. Thanks Marcelos.
Jun 27, 2019Excellent moment passé à Porto ! L'appartement est vraiment super, la vue sur Porto est incroyable, les caves sont à deux pas et le centre ville est facilement accessible à pied. Accueil très agréable avec vin de porto et pâtisserie. L'hôte, joignable de jour comme de nuit propose de nombreuses choses à faire. Une sorte d'hôte guide du routard ! La literie est confortable, l'appartement est impeccable. Si il fallait faire une critique : la chambre avec les deux lits simples est ensoleillée tôt le matin, et il n'y a pas de rideaux pour lutter contre ! Pour les amoureux du vin qui souhaitent passer un week-end à Porto, c'est l'appartement rêvé !

Jun 27, 2019We arrived at the apartment to be greeted by two wonderful people, Marcelo and Marcelo Jnr. They made us instantly welcome, provided a mine of information about Porto and even recommended somewhere to eat at our late arrival time. When you enter the main living room and look out of the window it is exactly as shown in the photos. The views of Ribeira are breathtaking and I spent an awful lot of the next few days just looking across the river. The apartment is spotlessly clean and looks very modern. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom facilities are excellent. Marcelo even left us a decanter of Port and some denatas which were not just welcome, they were both top quality. The hosts are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble and they made our stay an absolute dream. We think Porto is probably our favourite city now and every time we come back, we would love to stay here. Jun 27, 2019The apartment was just as described: perfect location with an incredible view, tasteful & modern decoration, clean. Marcelo & Marcelo Jr were perfectly on time for the check-in, with a nice touch (local pastry & a glass of Porto wine, plenty of tourism information). Overall a very good experience. If like me you come in October, be aware there is no heating in the apartment, so it can be a bit cold and (being by the river) humid. However Marcelo told me he would bring a couple of electrical heaters for the next visitors, apparently they were just removed for the summer. The main room, with the lovely view, is both a bedroom (queen size) and a living room (sofa, TV, table & chairs) with a tasteful & modern decoration. There is another bedroom with two single beds but no window. The kitchen is small but functional. Although the apartment can host up to four people I'd say it is ideal for two (e.g. a couple). Even though you should enjoy Porto instead of watching TV I should mention the flat screen is very big and I could even connect my laptop using HDMI :) Bottom line - slightly pricey for Porto but worth it. That view!!!

Jun 27, 2019Hemos pasado un fin de semana espectacular. El apartamento está ubicado al lado del Puente Don Luis I y en frente de la Ribeira de Oporto. Las vistas son inmejorables, estaba muy limpio y Marcelo es una persona excepcional. Ha sido muy atento con nosotros en todo momento. Merece la pena ir. Volveremos a Oporto gracias a él.

O Marcelo nos recebeu muito bem, foi pontual e ainda nos ofereceu pastéis de Belém e vinho do Porto! Por fim, nos enviou uma mensagem com excelentes dicas! Com certeza se eu voltar a Porto, vou tentar ficar no apartamento dele novamente! Super indico!
Jun 27, 2019A nossa estadia foi excelente. Marcelo é muito simpático e solícito e nos deu muitas dicas preciosas. Seu apartamento é muito confortável, com excelente localização e uma vista maravilhosa. Para quem vem de carro a Porto é o local ideal. O estacionamento fica a 30 metros do apartamento e custa 6 euros por dia, super barato. Voltaremos e recomendamos.
Jun 27, 2019도오루강과 동루이스 다리를 매일 아침 저녁 볼수 있어서 너무 좋았어요 집도 깔끔하고 무엇보다 일찍 체크인 할 수 있냐고 요청했었는데 허락해줘서 일찍부터 짐 놓고 일정 시작할 수 있었어요 다만 처음에 주소로 정확한 집위치를 찾기 힘들었고 집 근처에 계단이 있어 짐 옮기는데 조금 힘들었어요 그치만 뷰가 너무 환상적이고 집이 깔끔해서 또 머물고 싶어요
Jun 27, 2019El apartamento de Marcelo superó nuestras expectativas, tanto las fotos del apartamento como de las maravillosas vistas de Oporto son mucho mejores que lo que se puede apreciar en las fotos de airbnb. El apartamento no tiene ascensor y hay que bajar y subir algunas escaleras pero Marcelo nos recibió y nos ayudo a subir las maletas y nos esperaba con una botella de Oporto para degustar y toda la información necesaria para recorrer y visitar la ciudad. El apartamento está muy bien decorado y es supercómodo, agua caliente en todo momento y muy buena ducha, las camas muy cómodas, tienes todos los electrodomésticos necesarios para hacer tu estadía lo más confortable. Está muy bien ubicado , llegas caminando a todos lados y tienes restaurantes, bares, etc a unas 2 cuadras. SUPER recomendamos el apartamento de Marcelo y seguro que volveremos si es que regresamos a visitar la ciudad.

Jun 27, 2019Marcelo's place was exactly like the pictures. We were met by Marcelo upon arrival and were given very good instructions with respect to the apartment and good tips about the area. Communication between us before and during our stay was excellent. My daughter and I stayed for three days and nights and wish it could have been longer. As we were across the bridge (like a two minute walk) from the night life in Porto, we had no trouble having very peaceful and restful nights. The view from the apartment was amazing and I would recommend Marcelo's to anyone. I can't wait to go back

Jun 27, 2019We really loved this place. Marcello and family were so helpful and they made us really feel apart of their family. The place can get a quite cold in winter but the host provided us with heaters which got the place quite warm. Also the double bed is in living room. The view is AMAZING. We really had the 'best view in Porto'. We knew it was good when other people were taking photos of the view in front of our door. Also location is great. Very central and near all port caves. I would highly recommend this place when in Porto

Jun 27, 2019This has possibly been my best airbnb experience yet. Marcelo and his son went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Our flight from Seville was delayed several hours, resulting in missed train connections and a very late arrival to Porto. I was extremely stressed but they were so accommodating and friendly I instantly relaxed. Not everyone would have been so nice about an 11pm arrival! The apartment has the best view of Porto you can imagine and the location is wonderful, right next door to the wine caves, near the sky gondola and close to the bridge and river cruises. The little cafe downstairs is also great, very friendly staff and great pastries. Excellent experience all round.
Jun 27, 2019We stayed here for 3 nights. Marcelo and Marcelo Jr welcomed us at the bus station and helped us with our bags, which was highly appreciated. They were very flexible for the check in and check out time. The apartment is perfectly in line with displayed pictures. The view on Porto city is amazing, clearly the most beautiful we can get. The apartment is well equipped and ideal for a family. The beds are very comfortable and bed sheets 100% linen. We were also welcomed with the famous pasteis de nata (great ones) and some Porto wine. Both father and son are so kind and they shared lot of information so that we can get the best out of our city trip. Porto is a very nice city to visit. We highly recommend it as well as the apartment ideally located to enjoy both Porto and Vila nova de Gaia. Thanks Marcelo, Marcelo Jr and Ana for your kind attention. See you soon !
Jun 27, 2019Marcelo's place is beautiful - the view of Porto is amazing, and it's only a 5 minute walk over to the heart of the city. It's walking distance to everything you want to do in Porto, especially all the port houses! Could not be better!

The view must be the best in Porto, we never tired of it and waking up to it every morning was amazing. It's also very close to everything and just a quick 5 min walk over the bridge to Ribeira. The apartment is well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. If we ever return to Porto we'll definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

I found myself often looking out the window and losing track of time just admiring the city and the river. I have absolutely nothing bad to stay about the apartment, I would happily stay here again with out even wanting to look around. Marcelo, Ana, and Marcelo Jr and wonderful hosts who certainly know what they are doing when it comes to accomidation and service.

The apartment has a wonderful view of the old city of Porto on the other side of the River. It was lovely to wake up and see this in the early morning light. Marcelo Junior provided many details and information about what to see in Porto and booked a taxi for us at the end of our stay. We had a great holiday.

Jun 27, 2019최고의 에어비앤비였습니다! 방 모습과 뷰가 올려져있는 사진과 동일합니다. 최고의 뷰를 가진 방이었습니다. 시내에서 조금 떨어져있기는 하지만 포르투가 워낙 자그마한 도시이다 보니 왠만한 관광지는 모두 도보로 접근 가능했습니다. 오히려 중심에서 좀 벗어난 곳이라 조용히 쉬기에 좋았고, 강가에 위치하고 있어 창문을 열어 놓으면 저녁시간에 음악이 들려와 그 또한 너무나 좋았습니다. 부엌시설도 훌륭하여 집에서 끼니를 해결하기에도 편리하였습니다. 위치 뿐만 아니라 전반적으로 청결하고 좋은 숙소였어요. 침대도 적당히 단단하고 침구도 깨끗하고 촉감이 좋았습니다. 무엇보다 Marcelo는 매우 친절한 호스트였습니다! 끊임없이 부족한 것은 없는지, 도움을 줄 것은 없는지 확인하였고, 도움을 청하였을 때에는 신속하고 친절하게 도와주었습니다. 경험해본 중 최고의 호스트였습니다. 유일한 단점은 샤워 수압이 조금 약하였다는 정도이나, 조금만 마음을 느긋하게 먹으니 아무런 문제도 되지 않았습니다. 포르투에 가신다면 자신있게 추천하고 싶은 숙소입니다!

The location is right across the bridge to all the major Porto sights so you are away from some of the hustle and bustle. That being said there is a lot to do on this side of the river as well! I would book this flat again in a heartbeat!!! And Marcelo and Ana are very courteous hosts!!

The flat is bright and clean, it's surprisingly quiet at night, the bed is comfortable, and the view out the windows is outstanding. Marcelo and Marcelo Jr were very kind and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be looking them up again on our next trip.

I would definitely stay here again on another trip. We met Marcelo and his son when we arrived and they let us leave our bags even though check in wasn't for a few hours. La habitación de las dos camas individuales es un poco más fria y las camas podrán mejorarse. Pero en general es un apartamento muy curioso, cuidado y la ubicación impresionante. The view from the appartment is simply incredible, its a quiet place but restaurants at La Ribeira and the waterfront in Vila Nova de Gaia from a walkable distance. Marcelo was easy to contact and left plenty of info for us to discover the city. Apartment was easy to find and check in was simple, as we like. Everything was also perfectly clean. Thank you !
Jun 27, 2019Originally we were a little concerned about staying in the Gaia side. But I’m so happy we did because the view from Gaia is much better. It was one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen from an Airbnb. The bedroom window overlooks the river and it is breathtaking! The location couldn’t be better. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to the Porto side (suuuper easy) and the walk across also has great views.
Jun 27, 2019We were unable to meet Marcelo, however, he gave us a message with things to do and places to eat. Communication was very good. The view is stunning. No air conditioning and on hot days, it is quite difficult to be comfortable even with window open at night. A fan is provided. The location is perfect but be aware it can be a noisy, popular area. Beds are comfortable and double bed is in the living room. Great restaurants and wine tastings are a few steps away. Overall, we would recommend as a place to stay.
Jun 27, 2019Schöne Wohnung mit allem was man braucht für einen Städtetripp. Lage und ÖPNV sind klasse, Abends etwas Betrieb vor dem Haus (keine Autos) aber wir waren ja auch unterwegs. Sollte ich wieder einmal in die Stadt kommen versuche ich die Wohnung wieder zu buchen. Alles bestens organisiert und alle sehr hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank

Jun 27, 2019This place is amazing!! We had a wonderful stay in Porto and Marcelo’s place was perfectly located to serve as home base. We loved the view and being across the river to enjoy seeing the action but in a quiet area just minutes away. The place is perfectly clean and well equipped with everything you need. We walked all over the city, enjoyed the hop on/off bus tour, did the river boat tour and the sky tram. We would love to return and take a day trip to the Duoro Valley. We just didn’t have enough time. We would highly recommend this beautiful place!!
Jun 27, 2019We had a fantastic week in Porto, we particularly appreciated the local tips, as vegetarians, it is often challenging to find options but Marcello made this easy by listing good vegetarian restaurants. Communication and hospitality was excellent, Marcello greeted us on arrival and booked our taxi back to the airport on departure. Perfectly located across the bridge, in Vila Nova de Gaia; postcard views of Porto, great ambiance with plenty to do; not forgetting the obligatory Port!

God og venlig service. Lejligheden blev hurtig varm og fugtig, og vi var glade for, det var en mild sommer under vores besøg. Køkkenudstyret kunne være bedre eller bredere og køleskabet større. Alt i alt vil vi varmt anbefale stedet, især hvis du for eksempel er veganer som værterne.

Jun 27, 2019도우루강 건너편에 있으며, 바로 아래에 유명한 와이너리가 밀집해있습니다.(밤늦게까지 조금 시끄러울 수 있습니다) 그리고 사용하는 집 아래는 살짝 화장실 냄새가 나서인지 모기가 굉장히 많았어요...집 안에까지 모기가 들어와 고생했네요..그치만 이것 빼고는 완벽했습니다! 포르투가 워낙 작은 도시라 주요 관광지는 도보로 다 이동 가능했습니다. 무엇보다 숙소 창밖으로 보이는 뷰가 정말 멋져요! 기차로 이동하시면 보통 상벤투역 이용하실 텐데 저는 택시로 7유로 정도 나왔어요. 짐 있으시면 호스트에게 문의해 콜택시 이용하시는 걸 추천합니다! 다시 포르투에 간다면 이곳 고려할 것 같아요:)

Jun 27, 2019Marcelo and Ana’s apartment is immaculate, stylish, and offers views of Porto and the Douro river that make you want to pinch yourself with wonder that such a world is not only possible but exists just outside your door. The apartment is convenient to everything. Vila Nova de Gaia is slightly less hectic than Porto which is a welcome change, and you have access to all the port wine houses right outside your door. Also, you’re near the Dom Luís bridge and just a mere 3 minute walk to Porto. All in all, a fantastic apartment and an unbeatable location.

Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay in the apartment, it’s very nice, very clean and the vieuw (location) is spectacular. During the winter you might need a pair of house slippers, and an extra sweater to stay a bit warmer. But everything else is perfect!
