We stayed at Gill's place for 4 nights and had a great experience. Gill's girlfriend, Rhi, met us on the street and helped us with our luggage to the apartment. They were very accommodating and did everything to make us feel at home. Such a sweet couple! They left us tips of different restaurants and neighborhoods to explore. The apartment itself was very modern and extremely clean. Great size, incredibly big for NYC. It was the perfect size for two people in the bedroom and another on the pullout couch in the living room. The air conditioning was wonderful as our visit was during a hot week in August. The wifi was reliable which was helpful. It was walking distance to Columbus Circle with many trains available. They were even flexible and let us check out at 4 PM and leave our bags while we enjoyed the City. I would definitely recommend Gill's place!!

Todo renovado, wifi, cozinha novinha e, para os padrões novaiorquinos, até grande (quarto, cozinha, sala grande com sofá que caberia mais uma pessoa e um bom banheiro. Além de closets). o ponto alto da acomodação é a localização. O apto fica pertinho do Central Park e da estação de metrô do Columbus Circle, que é o maior hub de subways da cidade. Perto do flat você encontra farmácias, restaurantes, shoppings, shops, supermercados, cias... tudo "walking distance". Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Gill e pela Rhi, que estavam lá para nosso check in e check out e se colocaram à disposição para quaisquer problemas que pudéssemos ter durante da nossa estadia. O apartamento é equipado com um ar condicionado e, como fomos no verão (agosto, que é bem quente na cidade!) não tivemos problemas com o calor. Certamente voltaríamos para nos hospedar aqui!!
Jun 27, 2019Gill's apartment was perfect for my stay! Convenient to grocery stores and restaurants and of course the shopping at Columbis circle!! The apartment itself was beautiful - especially the kitchen and bathroom. Gill and his girlfriend were very responsive throughout my entire 10-day stay, which was really nice!!! Lots of space for everything and very comfortable - you can't go wrong!

Jun 27, 2019We stayed at gills place for a week in October! The apartment was well sized for three people. Very modern and clean. Great wifi access which was very much appreciated. Location was great. We were able to to walk to most places very close to the park and shopping! Great food also located close to the apartment. The communication with gill went smoothly as we were delayed upon arrival he made sure we were able to check in easily despite the time! Gill was attentive and checked in with us throughout the week! Would highly recommend staying here!
Jun 27, 2019I stayed in Gill's apartment during my five day stay in New York with my 18-year old daughter. It was perfect in all aspects, the location, the size of the apartment and the very friendly welcome from Gill. The apartment was very tidy and nicely furnished and had all the equipment we needed. It was very easy to get in contact with Gill at all times and on our return home he was very helpful with information on how to get to the airport by train. I will most definitely contact Gill again on my next visit to New York.
Jun 27, 2019I stayed Gill's apartment for eight days. For me, everything was perfect. Gill is very nice and pleasant host. The location, transportation, cleanness, amenities, safety was all good. I regularly come to NYC for business and use airbnb a lot. I'd say this place was best. The apartment seems newly renovated and very clean. The bed was cozy. Gill provides essentials, wifi, and Netflix. I highly recommend and I myself wish to come back to use the house. I thank Gill.

It was very conveniently located close to Central Park and Columbus circle, and within easy walking distance to 5th avenue shops and attractions. Gill and his girlfriend Rhi were lovely and most helpful in greeting us upon arrival and ensured that everything was going well during our stay. They left recommendations for popular attractions and places to eat whilst staying there. Apartment looked exactly like it did in the pictures and wifi and Netflix worked well. Would definitely Recommend gills apartment for anyone looking for a small clean and modern listing in a great spot in NYC! Would return!
Jun 27, 2019I have stayed at Gill's place for 10 days in late November. The apartment is very clean and very comfortable to stay in. The apartment was provided very clean, there was a substantial number of towels (both bath and hand), kitchen has all the necessary accessories (even an umbrella!), bed was very comfortable and building is in my favorite area - literally less than 5 mins waking from Columbus Circle, Time Warner and many of the amazing places NYC is known for. Gill was very welcoming as well as his girlfriend and I truly enjoyed my stay. Will definitely return and recommend to others!
Jun 27, 2019It was a really nice spot to start our trip. My mom and I made the place our very own. We ended up spending most mornings cooking breakfast, having great coffee and watching abit of netflix before heading out into the hustle and bustle of thanksgiving and black Friday shopping in nyc. The apartment was close to the park and colombus circle which we used as a home base for shopping and exploring. It was safe to walk around alone and everyone in the neighborhood was friendly and helpful. The apartment was calm and quiet and really great to call home for the week.
Jun 27, 2019Gill met me at a coffee shop across the street to help me check into the apartment. It was all very easy, and though the apartment is on the second floor, there's an elevator that makes carrying luggage much easier. It couldn't have been cleaner or better suited for a single person or a couple. I was traveling for business, and appreciated the large tv with netflix for nightly unwinding! The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of space (storage + large living area), the kitchen was quite nice and clean, and the neighborhood was convenient to midtown and transportation. Will definitely stay here again.
Jun 27, 2019i went up to New York early December with a friend to see the holiday lights, go to the museum etc. We were thrilled with the apt. Gill was warm and helpful, very easy to communicate with. The location is terrific and one morning I wandered down to the river and unexpectedly found a walking/bike path that was beautiful. The apt itself is totally renovated, simple and immaculate. I used uber and literally never waited more than a minute to be picked up. Everything was easily accessible. The Greek kitchen next door was the icing on the cake. I'd be happy to go back to Gill's place in the future.

Jun 27, 2019This was our first Air BNB experience and it was fantastic. The apartment was tastefully remodeled and very clean. The location made it perfect for our long weekend in the city. Our host met us personally, left us recommendations around that part of town and there were several little amenities around the apartment making our stay easier and more enjoyable. I would without a doubt stay here again.

Gil was great with communicating and making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our entire trip. Couldn't have picked a better place to stay both for the location and for the place itself. I would definitely recommend staying here if you travel to NYC. Jun 27, 2019My daughter and I had a very comfortable stay here. The apartment is much larger than it looks in the photos, with lots of storage space. We also enjoyed the access to Netflix. Perfect location. Very friendly hosts who responded quickly to queries throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again. We also loved The Greek Kitchen nearby (which seemed to be one of the only restaurants open in all of Mahattan during Snowmaggedon 2016).

Jun 27, 2019Everything was great... the place is super spacious for NYC and beautifully updated. You're two long blocks from Columbus Circle and Central Park, about a 8 min leisurely walk. The apartment was quiet, even with a party going on next door. On check in you may have to pick the keys up first from a different location, which may delay you if you're on the clock. Gill was also kind enough to let us have a little later check out due to a delayed flight. Would absolutely stay here again though!
Jun 27, 2019Great place! The location is near the subway station, you can find many great restaurants near Columbus Circle. The room is very clean and nice, the bed and sofa are very comfortable, the only thing is the door of the bedroom is made of glass, a little bit inconvenient for 3 people to live in. Gill helps me a lot! This is a great place to live in! Totally worth it!

Apartment was just as described - well appointed, good amount of space (for Manhattan!) and great neighborhood convenient to Times Square, UWS, etc. Gill was super easy to communicate with - picked up the keys no problem, very responsive by text when I had a few questions. Would gladly stay here again!

Apt has comfortably sized rooms--bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom with good shower. Hosts were always available for questions, and resolving anything that came up--really important in any city, especially nice in NYC. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Nous avons été ravis mon fils et moi de notre premier séjour a New York .C'était notre première expérience Airbnb L'appartement est spacieux ,mais les photos trompeuses car la chambre a vue sur un mur en brique et une petite cour . Elle est lumineuse mais le salon est très sombre .Bien pour un couple ,car la porte de séparation de la chambre est en verre.Le canapé transformable en lit a un matelas très inconfortable.Le quartier manque de lieux pour sortir le soir , peu de choix de restaurants ou de bars proches . Supermarchés a proximité ce qui est bien . Cuisine et salle de bains spacieuses . Grands rangements pratiques .Immeuble rénové agréable. Un peu de nuisance sonore a cause de la climatisation du restaurant qui donne dans la cour .Gill donne une liste d'adresses pour se restaurer et faire ses courses,ainsi que ces contacts en cas de besoin . Globalement satisfaits par l'appartement ,mais quelques petits points à améliorer .

The location is great- just a couple of blocks from Columbus Circle. It's quiet, cozy and comfortable. Key pick-up and drop-off were easy and Gil was helpful with restaurant and other recommendations.

Jun 27, 2019Gill's place was a great base for a Manhattan vacation with my two kids. The location is good--a seven minute walk to the Columbus Circle subway station. The apartment is very nice. The kitchen is particularly good, with nice, new appliances including a dishwasher. Gill was helpful checking in. We had no problems with the place.

Upon arrival, we had recommendations for local grocery stores and restaurants in the area. But you had already recommended gyms as well. He was extremely helpful with any questions I had. The studio was adorable! I would love to stay there again in the future.

Jun 27, 2019I love Gill's place. 2 long blocks from the subway, Central Park and Wholefood Market on Columbus Circle. (Walking from the 10th to 8th). Gill's apartment is beautifully appointed, very clean and spacious by New York standard and can comfortably sleep 3-4 people. Kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with utensils and toiletries and paper and towels. Plenty of storage. And the apartment is not on the street side so it's quiet all day round. Thanks again for being a great host. We felt home away from home at your place.
Jun 27, 2019Right in the heart of the action, Gill's place was a real gem. Surprisingly spacious for an inner city apartment and a modern lift, what's not to love? The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances and there was plenty of wardrobe space in the living room. The apartment is conveniently located on a busy main road but is situated at the back of the building so is relatively quiet. The apartment is a little dark perhaps but the living room gets some natural light from the bedroom which has glass doors, and the kitchen. An array of lamps help keep the living area warm and cozy. Gill and her family were readily available by phone and email to sort out the minor issues we had. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The apartment is located next to a side wall with no street so it is ever so quite. Gill was fantastic, ever so helpful & accomodating. Apartment is well maintained and has a full kitchen. This surpassed our expectations and I highly recommended
Jun 27, 2019It's a wonderful 1 bedroom with a nice kitchen and bathroom within 2 blocks of Columbus Circle's main transportation hub. The apartment was very comfortable and the hosts are super nice and helpful. I'd recommend it for 1 person traveler or a couple.

Jun 27, 2019Traveled with wife and daughter, stayed 5 nights, and was great for our needs (especially being close to Lincoln Center and Juilliard.) Layout, features and amenities as described. Fold out couch OK for daughter. Kitchen had all requisites. Well stocked bathroom. Good eateries nearby with a Whole Foods down the street and 2 blocks from the Columbus Circle subway center. Roughly equivalent in price to all 2 bed hotel rooms we could find, so reasonable value for us. Gill arranged an easy key pickup and allowed a late checkout (which was a breeze.) Grew up with steam heat, so the nuances of that heating method were understood and expected. Would stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Stayed at Gills place for about 3 weeks for business. Was nice and cozy and had a table I could work on. The heater gets a little loud at night but you get over it as time passes. Full kitchen and nice bathroom. Would stay again
Jun 27, 2019I visited the city with one other friend and we were so glad that we had found Gill's place! The apartment is modern, fancy and cozy. It's right in the middle of the city excitements; but the apartment itself, facing the back of the building, is well shielded from city noises. There are tons of great eateries and stores around (and one gets to appreciate it especially when trapped by a snow storm). Gill is a great host who arranges everything nicely and makes everything easy. Would love to stay at this place again!
Jun 27, 2019El departamento es muy cómodo pero posee poca luz ya que es un contrafrente. Tiene una cocina a gas que no funciona por lo que no fue posible cocinar ciertas comidas debido a solo contar con 2 hornallas eléctricas, lo cual NO fue avisado ni tampoco solucionado a pesar de habernos comunicado con Gill. A pesar de solicitarlo nos entrego un solo juego de llaves. Cuando le preguntamos si el departamento contaba con lavadero dijo qué no ,cosa que no era cierto ya que se encontraba en el subsuelo, pero el no quería que los vecinos nos vieran ya que subalquilaba el departamento y eso NO esta permitido. Las dos veces que nos encontramos fue en una cafetería a media cuadra del edificio ya que aclaró que si alguien nos preguntaba éramos amigos suyos. Todo esto nos hace pensar que evidentemente en dicho edificio no permitían subalquilar , y por ende se manejaron las situaciones de esa manera. Por todo lo expuesto no aconsejo alquilar el departamento de Gill ya que cuenta con muchas deficiencias. The apartment is well-equipped and cosy, nice decor too. Also I loved the comfortable bed with lots and lots of pillows. Gill was very very helpful, responded immediately. Jun 27, 2019Hermoso departamento ubicado excelentemente. Cerca del metro, de dos supermercados, de restaurantes y cafes. Muy cómodo y mas grande de lo que se ve en las fotos! Baño y cama impecables. La cocina moderna (solo le falta algún que otro utensillo de cocina o fuente para poder darle provecho al horno). En general fue una experiencia muy buena. Gill es muy agradable persona. Estuvo super atento, siempre con intenciones de ayudarnos en cualquier duda que nos surgió. Gracias por todo! Lo volvería a elegir y lo recomiendo 100%.

Jun 27, 2019Gills place was in a fantastic location in the city and provided the perfect base for our visit to NYC. It is very easily accessible to most subway lines so getting around was very easy. The room itself was perfect for a couple to have a bit more space compared to a hotel for our longer stay in NYC.

His place is clean, arty/hip, quiet, very comfortable, with good air conditioning, surprisingly large for New York City, and close to the subway and Central Park. Way better than a hotel! I'd go back with enthusiasm anytime.

Best of all it was central to everything in NYC and we felt very safe in the neighborhood. Would recommend for anyone visiting NYC and I would absolutely rebook if ever we are in NYC for a few days.

Jun 27, 2019Essa é a segunda vez que ficamos nesse flat. Dessa vez a experiência não foi tão boa como da primeira. Abaixo uma lista dos aspectos positivos e negativos do apartamento. Positivos: - A localização é excelente! Perto do Central Park, ao lado de shops, restaurantes, cinemas, mercados, farmácias e, mais importante, bem perto do metrô. Essa estação é das melhores da cidade, pois há trens para várias regiões; - O flat é grande para padrões de NYC, limpo, tem ar-condicionado, bom banheiro e quarto confortável; - A região é segura e longe da confusão turística! Negativos: - O anfitrião não foi nos encontrar no dia do check-in (pegamos a chave em outro prédio, com o porteiro, há cerca de 12 quadras de distância) e o endereço listado no recibo do Airbnb não estava correto. Ficamos na porta de um prédio qualquer, perdidos. Ele não atendeu seu telefone quando liguei no momento. A sorte é que meu marido se lembrou do local certo, pois estivemos hospedados ali 2 anos antes e daí conseguimos chegar. Sugiro que organizem com o anfitrião sua chegada para não terem esse problema; - Se você pretende cozinhar durante sua estada, pode ser frustrante. O fogão a gás foi substituídos por aqueles elétricos de acampamento que demorava cerca de 20 minutos para se ferver uma panela d´água. Fora isso,a cozinha é bem equipada, com microondas, máquina de lavar. Se você não pretende cozinhar não deverá ter problemas! - Não compre nada on-line se ficar aqui. O anfitrião pediu que quaisquer compras fossem entregues em outro endereço, por questões de segurança, já que nesse outro prédio tem porteiros 24h que poderiam receber os pacotes que chegassem do correio. Esse outro local fica cerca de 12 quadras de distância e fui lá algumas vezes para recolher algumas compras. No entanto, 04 pacotes simplesmente desapareceram, apesar dos correios e empresas confirmarem suas entregas nesse endereço. Fiquei com o prejuízo e foi bem desgastante. O anfitrião não encontrou minhas compras até hoje e não encontrou solução para meu problema. Mas, novamente, se você não fizer compras on-line, isso não será um problema para você. Depois desses desgastes não acho que voltaria a ficar aqui. Mas, volto a dizer, em termos de localização, é muito bom.

Jun 27, 2019Gill's place was great! Awesome location and very cute apartment. Great for 2 people, but a bit tight for more than that. But hey, it's NYC, so that's pretty normal. My only issues were with the uncomfortable sleeper sofa mattress and non-absorbent bath towels. (getting pretty picky there...!) Gill was so nice, fabulous to work with, and he communicated with me really well. I'd definitely recommend!
Jun 27, 2019The apart is very functional and it is very well located. It is ideal for 2 or 3 people. It has a new kitchen and bathroom, which is really nice and give you a sense of cleanest. However, it has room for improvement. First, in the decoration, which is very poor. Second, in the painting of the walls and ceilings ,which are not in good conditions. Third, since the apart is in a 2nd floor, there is not natural light coming from the outside. The apart needs more lights in all rooms and specially inside the closets, since they do not have light at all. I will definitely return to the apart if the owner decides to make this minor investments.
Jun 27, 2019Das appartment von Gill hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage, um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten schnell u einfach zu erreichen. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet-die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit Gill war problemlos u schnell. Wir wurden sehr freundlich u herzlich empfangen u würden immer wieder bei Gill gerne logieren.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is very cosy, welcoming and, most importantly, it has a perfect location! It is in walking distance to Central Park, MoMa, Broadway, Times (Website hidden by Airbnb) I strongly recommend it especially for a short trip. We only had 2 days and the location saved us a lot of time. It was also very clean, it is big enough for 2 people, I think even 3, and, last but not least, Gill is a great host! We arrived around midnight and he greeted us at the apartment, he was available and communication was very easy throughout our stay. We liked both the apartment and the host very much, and would go back anytime.

Jun 27, 2019The location is wonderful. The listing says no Cable, but there is NO TV but Netflix, not even an antenna for local TV. WiFi is very good. The gas stove/oven is turned off, instead there is a two-burner electric hot plate. There are very few dishes (only three dinner plates). It's small, bare and spare, but so well located that the location compensates. Gill is not always prompt at replying.

Jun 27, 2019I am very disappointed by Gill and the flat... I booked the flat for my engagement night with my fiancé and asked my parents to collect the keys. Gill should meet them in a Starbucks but arrived 1h later without leaving any message and not answering his phone ! Secondly the address he provided is wrong ! he said it is the same address but it is just another building with another number on another street ! So when I wanted to check in I tried to call him and of course he did not answer during the first 30min, letting me wait outside with my fiancé... Also their were dust in the flat (what the point of paying £150 for cleaning?) and the painting on the celling is if the paint is peeling or flaking. I was very disappointed and asked him to pay me back 30% of the booking which he agreed and of course I get no answer from him now. I think Gill is not a good host and not an honest person. I know there are some good comments for this flat but except the location I really don't recommend this flat.

Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed our stay at Gill's place. The location is so very convenient to all that New York City has to offer. The building is also very quiet and has lots of great food options just downstairs with a Starbuck's and two grocery store options only a short walk away. The amenities at the apartment are perfect and were just what we needed. Thanks for another great stay in the city Gill!

Jun 27, 2019I do not recommend this place. It is not the correct address which made me believe that it is not supposed to be an air bnb. He also told us to lie about it being an air bnb. The photos were misleading.
Jun 27, 2019El departamento está ubicado en una zona muy linda y cómoda de NYC..es altamente recomendable parar allí.. queda muy cerca de Columbus Circle y de Central Park.. además de ser un barrio lindo, es seguro y tranquilo. Hay bares y restaurantes muy buenos. El departamento es cómodo .. bien equipado y muy limpio.. nos encantó parar en Hell’s Kitchen... gracias Gill !!!!

Jun 27, 2019Gill is a great host! He responds very quickly and worked with us in accommodating our needs. His place is located in a prime location, close to a subway station and within walking distance to Central Park. Much of the apartment is newly renovated and is very clean and cozy.

Jun 27, 2019Terrific apartment in terrific, quieter part of Manhattan! Nearby everything you need and easy to get to all of the main attractions. Will definitely consider staying here again for our next trip back to NYC!

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is in the perfect location just a short walk to Columbus circle and the train. there are plenty of grocery stores and markets, and for me who didn't have any luggage for 4 days, they were a God send along with bits and pieces others had left behind. The apartment was spotless, linen in good condition and nicely decorated with plenty of closest space. As the apartment is at the side of the building, there was lots of privacy and minimal street noise (for New York). I highly recommend this property, I stayed a week and it was perfect.
Jun 27, 2019Great location near to Columbus Circle station, clean house, good price. There are some essential kitchen appliances missing (kettle?) and the host is fairly aloof, but these are very minor issues. I would certainly recommend staying at this place - it is an excellent launching pad from which to explore New York.

Jun 27, 2019This is a nice little apartment in a great location! Just right for 1 or 2 people, it has everything you need for a visit to NYC being close to the subway, Columbus Circle, and Lincoln Center. It is comfortable, spotlessly clean, and fairly quiet for NYC.
