The apartment is located on the second floor of a secure charmingly older Art Deco building typical of the area. The building is currently under renovation to bring it back to its former glory, however the apartment is newly decorated and includes some stunning mid-century furnishings and polished timber floors. A large sunny outlook with views of the famous Al Alamein fountain and square in front are magic to wake up to in the morning. Our apartment comfortably fits two people with a real double bed, but can easily accommodate a 3rd guest with our inflatable mattress.

The apartment is centrally located in Sydney's very own slice of Manhattan, the village-like Potts Point, and regally overlooks Fitzroy Gardens on tree-lined Macleay Street , with all the conveniences at your door step. There is no better place to stay and you will have the best of Sydney at your finger tips. There are three supermarkets within a 2 minute walk so it's easy to stock up on groceries for your stay, as well as laundromats and dry cleaners a few doors down, and the Post Office is located in the square in front of the apartment. It is close enough to all the action and nightlife Kings Cross has to offer, as well as being a tranquil haven overlooking the square and gardens, and is just walking distance to the harbour. The area is at the forefront of the Sydney food scene with some of the best restaurants the city has to offer as well as some of the best coffee, pastries, and local produce, literally at your door step. This is inner-city living at its best, if you are a light sleeper, please note the apartment is located on the main street of bustling Potts Point which can get noisy particularly on weekends. The apartment is located on the second floor affording a great view over the neighbourhood and leafy square. There is no lift and 2 flights of stairs, and located in a characteristic older Art Deco building (what it lacks in modernity it makes up for in buckets of charm). The bathroom is original but has been updated with a new basin, mirror & shower.

It's conveniently located to all transport with Kings Cross Station a 2 minute walk down the road (one train stop to the CBD). There is also a bus stop right out the front of the building that has regular buses to the hip enclaves of Darlinghurst and Surry Hills, and picture-perfect Circular Quay. The Sydney sightseeing tour bus also has a handy stop right out front of the apartment on Macleay Street where you can hop on or off. On foot, the city centre is a direct 15 min walk, or a leisurely 20 min walk along the harbour. For some lovely green space, you are a 5-10 min walk to Rushcutters Bay Park and the harbour, or the famous Botanical Gardens are just a 15 min walk along the waterside area of Wolloomooloo. It is very easy to get to and from the airport via taxi (20-30 min), airport shuttle, or train.

Guests will have access to the entire apartment - a 1 bedroom apartment + study, featuring a double-sized bed, a compact bathroom with shower & large bath, separate fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven & fridge/freezer, study/office space, walk-in wardrobe , ample built-in storage, and a well designed, spacious living room with dining area, digital TV and wi-fi, as well as our amazing collection of books ranging from design, fashion and architecture coffee-table books to craft, cooking and travel guides. You will also be provided with clean linen and a set of towels. Wendy, our wonderful cleaner, will be happy to provide extra towels for longer stays. *There is an extra single blow-up bed (with additional pillow/linen/bedding) for a 3rd guest.
