Neighborhood Overview
The location is outstanding, being close to everything worth visiting, the street ending in stone steps, leading you to the river allowing only pedestrians. Only 200 meters there is the Cathedral, the National Theatre S. João, renowned Art nouveau ”Café Magestic” and shopping district. São Bento Railway Station, the main square and Nasoni’s Clérigos Tower easily reachable by foot. Very close to our place you find the funicular cable car named “Guindais” that takes you right down the Douro river bridges, Port wine cellars, picturesque shops, bistros, bars and restaurants. 5 minutes wolking from Santa Catarina Street, the most famous shopping street in the city

Excellent moment in Porto, in this marvelous house! The place is just perfect, recently and well renovated, with a lovely and great terrace. The situation is excellent, 5mn by foot to the lovely Douro bay, 15mn by foot to the city center, and 3mn away from metro. Irene and Alex are wonderful host, very helpful to make us discover the good places in the city, warm and nice! I really advise this place when you will discover the lovely city of Porto!

Jun 27, 2019Great House in the center of Porto. Everything you need is in walking distance. The house is well equipped and Irene was reachable whenever we had a question. We were a group of 4 aduldts and one child an enjoyed our stay very much.

Jun 27, 2019Casa bien situada en la ciudad con acceso a pie a los principales monumentos turísticos de la ciudad. Decoración diáfana y con buen gusto, a lo mejor vendría bien disponer de sofá en la sala principal por confort.

Jun 27, 2019This house is perfectly located and stylishly decorated. But we had a bad time due to building works on both sides of the house with unbelievable noise from a bulldozer demolishing and digging on one side and a carpenter’s electric drill on the other. This was not disclosed to us before booking. I feel there is no hospitality offered as the kitchen had a few herb teas and a few coffee pods with a few sachets of sugar. No oil, salt, pepper, washing powder. There was no TV or microwave as advertised. Only 1 key for a family of 5. The one shower drain was blocked. Most windows were impossible to keep open and the aircon was not working and had no instruction manual. No response to our communication during our stay was received from host or concierge service. Because of the location, I would love to stay here again if these problems are resolved.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is large in size, has great space for our large group of 7 people. The kitchen has the main things you would need to cook but you would need your own olive oil etc. The location is ideal, so close to the ribeira for and an easy walk to the center. There are great pastelerias near by. The only unfortunate part was the bathroom on the main floor was not working, this was inconvenient otherwise it is a great place and we would recommend to stay here.

Jun 27, 2019This spacious appartment turned out to have a perfect location in the older parts of Porto. The appartment was nice and clean when we arrived, and being three couples we enjoyed sharing a livingroom and kitchen together. The two bedrooms upstairs were very nice and spacious, the one on the ground floor OK, but the bedroom in the cellar was dark and with a slight smell of mold. Being just three couples we solved that by using the second bedroom upstairs, but the bathroom in the cellar. All bathrooms were nice and in good condition. Otherwise we received very good service from the people running the place, who also helped us with suggesting and booking good restaurants. As for Porto we would love to come back.

Jun 27, 2019Great place to stay in Porto! Very central and steps from the river! We were a group of 7 adults and it was a great size for us. One of the rooms is meant for a single which worked out well for us but we would not recommend for a group of more than 7 (unless everyone is very very comfortable with each other). There was lots of room and everything was very clean. 5 out of 5.
