Our open, bright and stylish 2 bedroom apartment (3 separate spaces) is the perfect place for your next beach holiday! It’s directly across the road from Maroubra Beach and only a few minutes walk from great cafes, restaurants, parks and playgrounds. With wooden floorboards throughout and polished concrete floors in the kitchen, the living space is chic, yet cosy, and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It includes an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen with everything you need to make yourself at home. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stovetop and oven, as well as all pots, pans, crockery and cutlery you need to make any meal at home. The lounge area is complete with TV, Wifi and Netflix available for use. Neighborhood Overview
Maroubra is roughly 10km from the centre of Sydney, in the Eastern Suburbs. We have lived in the area for around 6 years, and we absolutely love it! It has a great community atmosphere and it's hard to walk down the street to the beach without running into people we know. We know and love lots of the cafe and restaurant owners in the area, and have made friends with lots of the neighbours. The beach is the highlight of the area, and it's right across the street! Maroubra beach is 1km long and is popular for surfing, swimming, a BBQ, a nice spot to sit and have lunch/dinner or just a walk to get some fresh air, space and relax. It's less crowded than its neighbour up in Bondi, but no less beautiful. To the south end there is a reserve with no buildings or houses, so it's particularly beautiful looking down the sand and waves to the trees and headland. Transit
Transport is very accessible. There is a bus stop right in front of the building with buses that go directly into the city (around 30-40 minutes). There's also a bus that runs directly to Bondi Junction where there is a Westfield shopping centre, and also a train station that puts you in contact with train lines across the whole city and beyond.

Rules
We love our house and have put a lot of time and effort into making it a beautiful place. We would expect you to treat it with care and respect, so as such ask: • Absolutely NO smoking inside the apartment or around the building. There are plenty of benches near the beach across the street that you can use. Just make sure you put any rubbish in the bin, to keep Maroubra beautiful! • NO parties - we live in a quiet, small building and our neighbours treat us with great respect. We do the same for them, and so would expect you to do the same by keeping noise to a minimum at night. Within reason, you're welcome to have friends/family over, however absolutely no parties. We have a zero tolerance for this area. • Please be nice to our plants!!

Jun 27, 2019The main reason I chose Nathan's place was the kids bedroom. When we arrived and saw it, it exceeded our expectations indeed. For those that are traveling with kids, the kids room in this apartment is any child's dream wonderland which made settling our little girl in all that much easier. The location of the beach (just across the road) made it all the more fun. For a small apartment, I was very impressed with how Nathan has maximised the space. The apartment has obviously been updated with quality appliances. It was my first time using an induction stove top - it was most impressive. The heated master bed was also a great luxury. Finally, it was all the little extras that Nathan provided that made it a memorable experience. We got a large box of chocolates, quality soap and well known brand name (eco and organic) hand wash and cleaning products. Nathan kept in contact throughout the week and even recommended local places for us to check out which was very helpful for us. Check out was also very convenient for us which was great considering we were traveling with a child.

Jun 27, 2019Nathan's place was just what we were looking for. We stayed only two nights and alreday now would go there back. It was really like a home away home. We loved it. It was clean, cozy and everything just like told and even more. Our kids loved the kids room! April, who we met at arrival gave wetsuits and boards for our kids to borrow. Thank you also nice treats left for us. We could recommend the place everyone who likes to stay near beach in cozy relaxing place.

It had everything we needed, and Nathan even added little extra touches, like the chocolates and soaps. The bus stop, right out the front, was very convenient, allowing us access to all areas of Sydney. It was also wonderful to spend the day sightseeing, and come back to Maroubra beach to relax. A fantastic spot. Thank you again Nathan, for your hospitality.
Jun 27, 2019This was our first experience using Airbnb and Nathan set the bar extremely high for other hosts during our trip. My husband and I are visiting Australia from the U.S., so after our 15 hour flight, Nathan so graciously offered us an earlier check-in time to freshen up and relax. Unfortunately, we didn't get to use the early check-in because 3 hours into our arrival in Sydney, we had an accident with a roundabout and a curb. Nathan was so thoughtful and checked in on us until we received a new rental car, and he was nice enough to leave us keys for when we arrived. Nathan's home is beautiful and very comfortable. The bed was completely cozy and we slept well during our stay. The home is literally across the street from Maroubra beach and you can enjoy the soft sand there while watching the surfers. It is also about a 0.5 mile beautiful scenic walk to Mahon Pool and an amazing cafe called Pool Cafe that has the best coffee and breakfast/lunch to start your mornings/days. At night we could walk to any of the restaurants and bars and felt very safe, and the locals were so friendly. Overall an incredible host, a beautiful home, and a wonderful area to enjoy your vacation.

We appreciated Nathan and April's recommendations, which were very helpful. The apartment was exactly as described. It has been set up really nicely and is light and airy, clean and comfortable. The kids' room in particular is great. The apartment is in a perfect location, being just across from the beach but still quiet at night. We really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommended!

Jun 27, 2019As we were at Maroubra for a surf competition. The location was perfect opposite the beach. Bus stop right out the front and a quick walk to shops & restaurants. The unit was clean, tidy & had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again. Nathan was very helpful.

But notify , no car park, you should park your car in 4 hours limited street car park, no washing and drying machine, no view to ocean, it is located in ground level and back of the building. Oh the important one, the door lock does NOT work well, every time you have to stay behind the door and struggle with key and lots of stress for little kids. Good points: lots of toys for kids, ocean sound at night, clean sheet and beautiful kangaroo skin on sitting room, candles. There was a laundry with old broken washing machine that if you are expert in repairing and plumbing, you can use that area.

We came again, because last time/year we spent just two days and already then we falled in love with Maroubra. House location is perfect, busses leaves to Sydney just front of the house, it's next to the beach (the most important), house itself is nice, cosy and beautiful, good coffee houses nearby - eveything just perfect!! Jun 27, 2019The place is at great location and easily accessed. The host was friendly and helpful. It might be good to let the host know in advance if you have a fair bit of luggage so that they can empty out the robes and rooms. Otherwise everything is reasonable.

Also great recommendations from Nathan of where to eat and get good coffee. It was ideal for our family with two boys. If you want a great value beach holiday this is ideal. Jun 27, 2019This apartment was in a fantastic location. You really could not get any closer to the beautiful beach. The bus system was also very easy with a convenient stop right outside of the apartment. Maroubra is such a cute little beach subarb that I’d love to visit again.
Jun 27, 2019The whole family loved our beach holiday at Nathans place - it is literally only steps away to the beach! If you prefer ocean baths to the beach, these are only a short walk away as well. The apartment is not large, however it is very well set up to maximise the space available. Nathan was great to communicate with, and provided lots of suggestions about places to eat and things to see. We loved El Tora Pizza and Tapa for dinner and Crazy Rays for a morning coffee. Parking on the street was not difficult - even on busy days it on took 5 minutes to find a spot. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Jun 27, 2019Nathan’s place is stunning; the perfect beachside getaway for a couple or young family to enjoy long-term or for a long weekend. We loved our stay and after two months we were very sad to leave what felt like home. Nathan and his wife and kids are simply lovely, kind people who didn’t hesitate to help us with any issues or queries. I’m still blown away that after messaging Nathan with news that the dryer had broken, he replied right away and we had a replacement THE NEXT DAY. Our baby son loved all the little hiding spots around the house. We were impressed with the style of the place, plus the HUGE amount of storage available. But our favourite part? The ocean is so close you can hear it from anywhere in the house. Thank you for a truly wonderful and memorable stay!

Jun 27, 2019I had a fantastic stay at Nathan’s place, with my two nieces and brother in law. We only stayed a weekend, but it felt much longer in a good way, with morning and afternoon trips to the beach which is literally across the road, and buses outside the door into the city, the location could not be any more convenient. Nathan and April were also great hosts, very accommodating, fast to respond, and did everything they could to make our experience great. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a beach holiday!

Jun 27, 2019Fantastic location! We are half way through our 2 week stay and can’t wait to book again. Nathan & April are super hosts for a reason! Beautiful Maroubra Beach is right across the street, saltwater pools are a 5 minute walk as are plenty of charming cafes. No need for a car, walk or use the bus that stops directly in front of the apartment. Great for families & couples.
