Living room faces the mountains, the kitchen has everything guests need! The apartment has a superb location. The room is perfect for 1~2 people. Neighborhood Overview
Easy walk to parks, supermarkets, shopping centers, downtown Honolulu, and to Ala Moana beach (20~25min walk). Easy walk to Long Drugs (local CVS) on King street (approx 7min walk) and to the gas station right next to the apt (1min walk). Safeway, Walmart, Walgreens, and Ward Village (shopping centre with lots of restaurants and AMC movie theater) are all 15min drive/bus ride. There are also lots of restaurants in downtown, which is also about 15min drive/bus ride.

Jun 27, 2019I had a great stay at Sarah's. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Helen, her friend on the ground, was also very accommodating and helpful in getting me situated. I think this is a great base camp for exploring the island, particularly if you are not too concerned with being in the dense craze of Waikiki.
Jun 27, 2019Staying at Sarah's place was great. She has a spectacular view of the entire island. Her place has everything you would need for a comfortable visit including a washer and dryer! Helen was also super accommodating the entire time. It was like having a local tour guide with you :) I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay. The location was just a few miles from downtown Waikiki as well.

She was super attentive to our arrival even though it was a late flight, made sure we knew how things worked before she departed and made us feel welcome. You rock, Helen! Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed staying at Sarahs appartement. It was as we expected it. The view from the balcony and bed is amazing. Also the pool and hot tube on 9th floor were great. There were lots of recommendations what to do left on the counter. Also her friend Helen who made sure we got into the appartement gave us some helpful advice.
Jun 27, 2019Helen was so great at meeting us, she was insanely enthusiastic in the best way possible! The space was far nicer than we had anticipated, the rooftop pool and jacuzzi were a lovely surprise that we definitely took full advantage of!! The air conditioning was also wonderful, and there was a fully stocked kitchen with a few surprises left behind from other guests (thank you Swedish guests for the chocolate). We loved it, and would definitely come back!

Jul 27, 2019Overall, we appreciate the apt provided by the host. The place is clean in general and host and his friend are nice and responsive. However, there are a few things didn't meet our expectation. 1. The WiFi mentioned in the info sent to us after booking was never working. Host mentioned he will ask the telecom to fix, but it never happened. Host provided us with a hotspot device on the second day. But it stopped working after two nights. Although host mentioned he called provider to fix, but the issue persisted till the end of our trip. Therefore, we didn't have WiFi for most time of the trip. 2. We found a couple small roaches in the shower space and kitchen. But honestly speaking, it might be the problem of the whole building or Hawaii. 3. The second bed is actually an air bed which is not mentioned in the info. And personally we feel it less comfortable than a real one. 4. Last, when we checked out, we were told to just leave the key in the kitchen. But the elevator requires the key to go to the garage. We had to ask the host in the last min to figure out how to leave and the solution was to hide the key in the garage. This might not be a big deal, but made us wondering how previous tenants handled the check out before that host never realized this issue?
Jun 27, 2019It is a very nice apartment with great ocean view, especially when you get up in the morning, you could see the airplanes crossing and the blue ocean is the background. It is in the city center with high standard safety guard. The garage is very nice and they have a fix parking lot. We could add the gasoline easily. We could buy stuff easily. It is close to the shopping mall. The apartment has two rooms. The main bedroom is big enough with a nice bathroom. The second bedroom is an air bed. But do not worry because it is even better then the real bed I stayed in Maui, because it can be added the air very easily (not the pump you have to do by yourself, it is just a button on the wall. It can add the air automatically). There is a Guitar in the room. It’s a pity that I do not how to use it. We can cook by the way, they have a nice big open kitchen together with the living room. We like the apartment very much. It made us feel safe, clean and like a home. One suggestion, it would be better to add a hot water kettle for guests.

Jun 27, 2019This Honolulu apartment is not described accurately. It is not luxurious, it is basic. Very minimal. In the business district. Our check in contact (which is offsite) was 5 hours late, the dishwasher was broken (the check in contact knew this before we arrived), the light in the master bedroom was broken due to wiring (the check in contact knew this before we arrived), the second bedroom at the time was not advertised as an AIR MATTRESS, no coffee maker until I went and bought one, not enough dishes for four people, no beach equipment/towels, it looks like they recently replaced the floor but did not finish the molding, kitchen was not bad but not sparkling clean, hooks in the walls from previous artwork but art is now gone. The place felt like a bachelor pad they decided to move out of one day and put it on Airbnb the next. This apartment has great potential with polishing, work, and repairs but as it was in Jan 2019 it fell short of the description. Also, there are weird rules about not being able to use the front door/lobby of the building. It did not feel like we were guests allowed to be renting the apartment, it felt like we were intruders staying there illegally. Sarah is nice on email, the contact (Lester) in Hawaii is a nice guy, but the place is less than luxurious and we felt uneasy staying there.

Jun 27, 2019This is the perfect place for tourists that will spend most time outside of the place, and it will not be as great if you want to constantly enter and exit the place, as you need to be cautious about not exposing yourself or your airbnb experience to the community. Parking is also not too convenient as every time you need to drive up/down 6 floors/12 ramps for the 6 floor-parking structure. The location is by some electric company so you can hear some/little electric motors working all the time when you open the window.
