Neighborhood Overview
Best hood ever! You are a block away from the famous Shake Shack and Madison Square Park (MSP) and within walking distance from Flatiron, Gramercy, Chelsea, Murry Hill, East Village and even lower Midtown from this perfectly-located Manhattan apartment! In the immediate vicinity, there are always activities going on in and around MSP: Concerts, lounging on the lawn, and Madison Square Eats food tents in the summer and fall. Eately is also across the street from MSP and you can purchase some of the freshest ingredients to cook in your huge kitchen or eat in their amazing mini restaurants or those in in the surrounding neighborhoods. If you want some awesome dining recommendations then head over to Irving street in Gramercy, just four blocks away. My absolute favorite is Casa Mono. Pete's Tavern is also a great place for burgers and beer. There is also Ichabods and Yama sushi. Notes
We have a keyed elevator for security. Nobody can access our floor except for those who live on it. The key is a pain to replace so if the keys are lost, there will be a $50 replacement fee. So try not to loose those keys:)
Transit
One of the best benefits of this centralized location is how close you are to public transportation that will easily get you to anywhere in New York City. You are steps away from the 6 train at 23rd street. The 6 will get you everywhere on the east side. If you just walk to Madison Square Park at 23rd you can jump on the N and R trains which take you up and down central Manhattan and the upper west side. Union Square is walkable and from there you can get on almost any train going anywhere. Take the L from union square to the bedford stop to explore Williamsburg, Brooklyn or take the L to 8th avenue to explore the meatpacking district in Manhattan.

This studio is just great!. Great location as well, close to everything and with the 6 metro line at just one block. There is plenty of space for a studio in Manhattan and you get everything you need including dishwasher and washer/dryer. I will definetely consider this studio for my next stays in NY. Julia, the host, is lovely. You can count on her in case you need of help,but the studio is so perfect that you will not need anyhing else other that the keys:-).

The apartment is beautiful, extremely clean, and spacious, and the location can't be beat! I will definitely be booking this place for my next trip to NYC.
Jun 27, 2019Just back from a long weekend in NYC at Julias place. The flat is super nice, spotlessly clean, quiet + very spacious (rare for NYC!) and has everything that you would need. The building itself is very typical New York loft style, and the location is exceptional - in the middle of Manhattan - so everything is easy and quick to get to! Our interactions with Julia were really easy. She is responsive on-line and very welcoming in person, and even let us check out late so that we could spend the day roaming the city before our night flight (thanks J!). All in all a great place to stay in the city, and a great host!

Jun 27, 2019L'appartement de Julia est très bien situé, à quelques minutes du métro dans un quartier sympa. Il était propre et spacieux. Literie confortable (et propre!). Il était très appréciable d'avoir un lave linge, un lave vaisselle, fer et planche a repasser...etc... Beaucoup de rangements également. L'accueil par Julia fut bon. Malheureusement, pour notre départ, nous avons mis 1h30 pour réussir à la joindre alors que nous l'attendions depuis tout ce temps pour lui remettre les clés. Très bon séjour néanmoins, à recommander.

Jun 27, 2019Julia's apartment is very comfortable, clean and has a well equipped kitchen. It is located close to subway, parks and shops. Perfect for 1 or 2. I have rented it for a 2 weeks working visit in NYC. Julia is very friendly, and her instructions for stay, checking in and out, and communications about this was very clear. I will certainly look for renting her apartment for my next working visit and will recommend it to friends and colleagues.

Jun 27, 2019Great location - probably the most convenient location one could be in when visiting Manhattan. The apartment was of a very good size and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It made our visit to New York a better experience as we were glad to return to it each night after loads of walking each day. Not too much noise except for sirens (that cannot be helped) as it did not face a street. Julia was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to New York.

Jun 27, 2019Overall we had a terrific stay here. The flat was clean and well presented but with some building works going on towards the rear of the building. The location is a perfect base to explore all of NYC and there are plenty of local coffee stops for breakfast as well as relaxed bars for a drink in the evening after a long day out. Julia was very helpful and looked after our bags after we checked out for our last day until the later flight.

It was extremely clean and the location was super convenient to all the main lines. Julia was also very prompt and responsive throughout all communication. We loved the 5 star hospitality, cant wait to stay here again !
Jun 27, 2019Julia's place is better in person! Her home is very well maintained, clean and convenient for people like us who like to vacation with home conveniences (i.e. kitchen, washing machine). There are a variety of art pieces strewn throughout the home, which makes lounging around the house a true delight. It truly seemed as though each furniture piece and even the towels and plates were carefully selected and well curated for the "Julia Home" experience. Fun to eat and live in! She also left us breakfast (coffee and oatmeal) and snacks to enjoy in the morning so it was truly a bed and breakfast spot! Location is conveniently located by the 6 subway stop and a walk away from one of my favorite coffee spots, Gregory! As a previous New Yorker, it was truly a pleasant stay! Sad to be leaving the city, but was so pleased to have stayed at Julia's!
Jun 27, 2019The location is truly convenient and you can get anywhere in the city by subway reasonably fast. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Although the price is slightly higher, you're really paying for location here. My only complaint would be the hot water in the shower - the hot water tends to run out halfway through the second shower.

Jun 27, 2019Magnífico todo. Excelente ubicación, muy cerca varias paradas de metro. Incluso para ir andando, a escasos 15 minutos de sitios tan emblemáticos como Time's Square. El apartamento es tal cual se aprecia en las fotos, espacioso, muy limpio y todo nuevo. La cama increíblemente cómoda, lo cual se agradece después de un largo día caminando. Julia se mostró amable y dispuesta a ayudarte en todo lo que pudieras necesitar. The subway stop is literally on the street corner and the line brings you downtown or uptown so a great base for getting around the city. The apartment itself is spacious with all the facilities that one could want and Julia was super helpful throughout. Highly recommended.

She is obviously very proud of her apartment in the way it's presented to guests! We spent our honeymoon here and the location is just brilliant for getting around the city and also staying local for a great bite to eat and fab drinking spots.

Jun 27, 2019Apartment is fabulous - big for NYC and facilities in the kitchen really great. Location is is fantastic and easy moving around either walking or very close to subway.. Restaurants and bars in the area provide excellent options and would recommend after trying, Gramercy Tavern, Eatlay, Rouge Tomate (chelsea but not far) and for great beer list the Taproom. Julia communication was fast, easy and helpful. Would recommend and would love to stay again.

Between our first enquiry and check-in, Julia has always been very responsive to our questions and request. Once checked in, she is ever so helpful with questions and local recommendations and yet fully respect privacy of the guests - for example, she requested for our consent before showing the place to a repairman to get a job quote. The apartment is conveniently located and all amenities, F&B and transportation are easily accessible. All in all, the excellent apartment combined with Julia as the very kind and hospitable host makes it very good first time AirB&B experience for us.

Also, there were so many food options (restaurants, grocery stores, Eataly, etc.) within walking distance. The apartment was exactly as shown on the website. Julia was friendly and accommodating. Jun 27, 2019Amazing place in a perfect location. Clean and comfortable. One block from Madison Park and Shake Shack; two blocks from Eataly. Two block walk to the subway: both East and West side are accessible via the nearby subway lines. Fully equipped you could easily cook in. Coffee available for the mornings. Wonderful place to base yourself in Manhattan.
Jun 27, 2019Julia's place is in a great location and a safe area, we walked everywhere, even late at night with no problems. The apartment is secure and has a lift. Plenty of eating places around too. Washer and drier great when you are travelling light.
Jun 27, 2019Julia’s apartment was fabulous. Don’t be fooled by the “studio” description - the space is open and comfortable with all the modern amendities to make you feel at home. It’s stylishly decorated with cool artsy and urban details. And very important for me - clean and safe. The beautiful and large kitchen island was just what I needed to enjoy breakfast, dessert and spread out all that work “stuff.” Location was perfect: close to train and ample food options. Definitely on my list to come back to on one of my next trips.

But this would not be a problem if you are going to be out. It is a lovely apt and Julia and her mum are super nice and very good with responding.

Jun 27, 2019Julia's place couldn't have been better. I booked the studio for the weekend to explore NYC and stayed a few extra days for work and her place was perfect! It's centrally located so getting around the city is easy and it's close to the subway in case you're planning to go to Brooklyn or coming from Newark Airport. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Julia was very responsive throughout our stay. DEFINITELY booking this place when I come back!

Only thing was construction literally right outside the window at 6-7AM during the week- this happens, but was not clear up front as it impacts a decision to stay at a place. Would have given 5 stars if the accuracy and communication on this piece was more transparent.

The location is really the best, close to many landmarks, great restaurants, walkable to east village. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. Neighbours on the same floor are very polite and nice too. We had a fantastic stay at Julia's place!
Jun 27, 2019The apartment was extremely clean, quite modern, comfortable and uncluttered. I especially appreciated the comfie bed. It’s amazing how often I have stayed in really appealing ABB’s and the bed is kind of a “ow my back” (I mean isn’t the bed a critical part of this whole thing:) The memory foam bed sleeps two and the couch can be used as a bed as well. We enjoyed our stay and the host was responsive with any questions. Recommended.

It was a great stay taking into account that we were with our 2 year-old son and had everything we needed for him. Julia and her husband were kind, warm, very communicative when needed and really flexible with check in and check out. Location it's unbeatable, a few steps from different metro stations, lots of restaurants and shops! Neighborhood is one of the most beautiful in midtown. Her place is spotless clean and fully equipped - even has plenty of closest space with hangers! And you can't beat the location. Super convenient to Union Sq, Gramercy Park, Madison Square Park, etc.

Jun 27, 2019I stayed in Julia's place for a week, it was a great experience. The location is great, the apartment looks exactly like the photos, and has everything to make the stay enjoyable. Pros: - The location is great - Julia greeted me personally and showed around the apartment - There is a manual for the apartment with various information and instructions on all the appliances. Very handy - The apartment is nice, clean, well designed and decorated - Surprisingly quiet despite being in the center of Manhattan - There is a wide selection of appliances, including a washing machine with a supply of detergent - Speaking of supplies, there were coffee pods and granola bars in the kitchen. Nice touch Cons: - The only window faces the opposite building, so the view is far from spectacular, and the apartment is quite dark in general. Makes for better sleeping though.

Jun 27, 2019This is a fantastic rental. The location couldn’t be better in that it’s very central, close to amenities and great restaurants, and minutes from the subway. The unit itself is way roomier and better laid out than an average studio, and it’s full of modern appliances that make an apartment stay preferable to a hotel. The bed is comfortable, and there is lots of space to put your things. Julia was a patient and helpful host, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Jun 27, 2019Julia's studio is spacious with a roomy and clean, airy feel and good security. It has a very well appointed kitchen with modern dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer facilities. It is very quiet and private and in an excellent location close to the subway, restaurants and shops. We loved staying here and it was a true home away from home. It is value for money and we would willingly use it again when next in NYC.
Jun 27, 2019You won’t be disappointed in this condo. It’s location, cleanliness and Annemarie’s make it the perfect Manhattan experience. Food within walking distance. Subways 1.5 blocks away.
Jun 27, 2019My husband, 4-month-old son and I had a wonderful stay at Julia’s place. The location is great, and the numerous amenities like a washer/ dryer, many fresh linens and full kitchen made it so comfortable for our family. Julia was a very attentive host, responding instantly to questions. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others looking to enjoy NYC!
Jun 27, 2019Julia was a great host. She was very responsive and accommodating. The studio apartment was exactly as described and the location was ideal. Short walking distance to Gramercy Park, Union Square, Madison Park. We would not hesitate to rent again from Julia.
