This is an amazing apartment in the happening Taksim-Cihangir neighbourhood. What I liked: Accessability - metro 5 minutes and plenty of buses, taxis Neighbourhood - great cafes, shops, restaurants, supermarkets Host - very prompt and helpful Apartment - has everything for a comfy stay, clean, fresh linen, towels, proper bed, clean bathroom with hot water, heating Neighbours: very nice and helpful What I didn’t like so much: Noise - there’s a school directly behind and you get woken up by the school bell, weekends can get very loud with live music from the cafes - it was so loud on my first night, I complained as I was tired and needed sleep. You can also hear the neighbours snoring. All eventually sorted with ear plugs.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is very central, just a minute from Taksim and İstiklal. I chose the apartment because of the location close to my school. There were no problems in the apartment: bathroom, heating, refrigerator all worked as they should. The layout of the apartment is not optimal: the living room seems added to the apartment, and the cold gets in through the windows. Sleeping on the couch in winter is a cold experience - in summer it is no problem. Also the apartment doesn’t have a table or a desk. This was no problem the first month or two, as I did my writing and reading in cafes, but it would have been nice to have the opportunity to work from the apartment after a couple of months in cafes. Right next to the apartment is a school and a schoolyard. The windows from the living room face the schoolyard, and the sound from the school is quite loud. The neighbour upstairs has a cat that gets up early. From the adjacent apartments you can hear everything from the neighbours, and they from me. The noise didn’t bother me, because I sleep well and am not bothered by noise, but take it into consideration if you are noise sensitive. The laundry dryer had some problems, so for some weeks I had to find other solutions, but it was solved, and I could wash again. I didn’t cook at home. Kitchen is small, but clean. There are not many kitchen tools in the kitchen, but as I didn’t cook, this was no problem.
Jun 27, 2019Location is wonderful only 1 min. from Istiklal and 5 min from Taksim square. You can find all utensil and spices for cooking. The apartment is clean and big. There aren't independent entrance. The stairs is very narrow ( the apartment on the 3 floor) it will be uncomfortable if you have a big luggage. For me was a big problem a bad sound insulation. I heard all what happened in the apartment on the up floor. Neighbors from above did not sleep ( it's look like), they constantly walked, talked, laughed and this could go on until the very morning. If poor sound insulation is not a problem for you, then I recommend this apartment.
