Guest have access to the living areas but not the kitchen other than to make coffee or tea. One of us is available most of them time. I have lived in Glebe for thirty years and I love the village atmosphere. There are lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. We are close to the city, china town, Newtown, Balmain and Leichhardt. All very good areas for restaurants.

Notes
Guests are welcome to use the living areas but not the kitchen other than to make a cup of tea or coffee. We supply breakfast when we are able. Some mornings we have early starts but it’s not normally a problem. There are many wonderful cafes in Glebe supplying breakfast. Please ensure you leave the apartment quietly as well as the house for the comfort of all. No banging doors please.
Transit
There are very good transport links including the light rail system. The busses run every ten minutes into the city.. Please note that parking is metered parking and only free between 10pm till 8am.

The hosts Elizabeth and Simon are extremely welcoming hosts with lots of helpful tips to get around Sydney. The room was well appointed, very clean and comfortable with a gorgeous private marble bathroom located nearby. There are a few stairs but easily manageable with luggage. Elizabeth provided a concise list of all information making access to the Internet and building really easy. Would highly recommend this location for an awesome holiday experience. The hosts have gone above and beyond to make my holiday wonderful and I thank them again for it.
Jun 27, 2019This was a wonderful experience. The picture doesn't do justice. It's in a very modern apartment in a historical building, the room is quiet, private, simply and elegantly furnished, with a dreamily comfortable bed. Glebe Point Road is close by, and so it is very convenient for shops, buses etc, but there is little noise. Elizabeth and Simon were kind, thoughtful and welcoming. I recommend this without reservation, except for people who need to have the bathroom on the same level as the bedroom.

Jun 27, 2019My poor vocabulary cannot describe how my wife and I love this family and how wonderful this experience is. Just see some details. *Day 1, when I saw Elizabeth standing at front door, waiting for us arriving, I have already felt moved. *One of my suitcases, with most of our clothes in it, got lost when I landed. Elizabeth offered her daughter's dresses to my wife just in case she has nothing to change. How thoughtful! *She collected some useful travel tips and printed on a piece of A4 paper so we can save a lot of time searching all these info. *We cooked and had dinner together just like a family, and also shared an old movie in the night before we leave. Elizabeth and Simon have travelled a lot of places all around the world. If you are also a fan of tour-all the world, they are the best people to talk with. And you will learn a lot.
Jun 27, 2019Elizabeth is a delightful host, she and her husband Simon made us feel most welcome in their lovely and tranquil home. The bedroom was bright, airy and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom private, spacious and spotlessly clean. Our visit was brief but Elizabeth and Simon were "easy-going" and very friendly, they made us feel at home and we would happily stay with them again. Thank you both.
Jun 27, 2019I stayed with Elizabeth and Simon for around 2 weeks and it was like being at home. They are really nice people and treated me like a family. Elizabeth went out of her way to accommodate me and i still miss Simons cooking and spending time with me. I could not speak any more highly of them that i do and would definitely live with them if ever needed. They are like family.
Jun 27, 2019Elizabeth and Simon are wonderful friendly hosts. I have never stayed in foreigner house. So when i arrived in front of Elizabeth house, I was a little bit scared. But she welcomed us glad. So we were happy and relief. Although I can not speak English well she tried to listen to me. And when I could not understand her say, she was carefully explained again. And i'm not going to forget dinner that they prepared for us. Simon is good chef. :) Thank you for your kindness. Glebe is so peaceful. And house has comfortable bed, nice interior and very clean bathroom.I will miss them and lovely cat Lady. I wanna meet again. Thank you for everything!

Jun 27, 2019Both Eliz and Simon were so kind. It was the best airbnb stay for us to date. The room was very cozy and private, just the way we like it. Feels like home, Simon cooked for us dinner and it was fantastic. The location is not too far from the city. Definitely a recommended stay.
Jun 27, 2019Elisabeth and Simon were fantastic host. They made us feel immediately like home. The room is very cosy, clean and quiete and with your own tv and reading sofa. The bed was very confortable ( better than my own!) They assisted us with every single request we had, always with a smile. They even cooked dinner for us and it was really delicious. Very convinient location ( the bus stop is just around the corner with different bus taking you to the city centre(10 minutes) or to the beach(30 minutes). Simon and Elisabeth have a great sense of hospitality and they are really nice person to chat with. Located in a very quiete and tranquil area. I would definitely go back, as it was like being home away from home.

Jun 27, 2019Elizabeth and Simon were just terrific and greeted us at their beautiful appartment. They were always available if we had any questions during our stay. They cooked a delicious breakfast for us and during our stay they offer us a glass a champagne. The appartment was everything advertised and it was even better than we expected. The room was clean and very confortable with all amenities that you could need. Its easy to travel all around the city and the area is one of the best area in Sydney. Elizabeth and Simon we really enjoyed your kind hospitality.
Jun 27, 2019I spent a wonderful week at this great apartment in Glebe in the heart of Sydney. The apartment is very clean and tidy, very spacious and the host's niece made me very welcome. My large room had an extremely comfortable double bed and I slept soundly every night. There was plenty of storage and wardrobe space to hang my clothes. I had my own bathroom with a walk in shower that was amazingly hot and powerful. There is WiFi throughout, a kitchen for cooking meals and a lovely lounge area to relax in and watch TV. The apartment itself is situated just off Glebe Point Road with at least 3 buses running directly to the city centre and beaches. Get an Opal card and use the buses which stop at the end of the road. The apartment was really quiet with no outside noise. The hosts were in contact throughout if I needed help or advice and provided travel books and handy tourist information that I used to get about. I loved the location best of all and would recommend walking three blocks down to the waters edge where there is a beautiful park that is a hidden gem.
Jun 27, 2019This safe and beautiful tree-lined suburb, with easy access by foot or very regular public transport to the Airport, Sydney city and surrounds, made a stay in Glebe perfect. Every type of restaurant, cafe, store etc are just around the corner. The room and spacious bathroom were immaculately clean, and our hosts Elizabeth and Simon made us feel incredibly welcome - almost part of the family. We look forward to returning again, and recommend Elizabeth and Simon's beautiful home to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Sydney, with the chance to meet two fantastic new friends.
Jun 27, 2019I couldn't rate this place highly enough. Elizabeth and Simon were wonderful hosts, there were extremely accommodating, making me feel very much at home. The house is lovely, it's a comfortable bed and the room is accompanied by an amazing shower. I'd definitely stay here again. Best airbnb stay I've had to date.

Jun 27, 2019I had an amazing time at Elizabeth and Simons home in Sydney. They're so lovely! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. They cooked me breakfast, dinner and every night we had a glas of wine together. I will definitely come back and stay with these incredible people again.
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful stay at Elizabeth and Simon's home. Our hosts were most welcoming and helpful. Their home is modern, stylish and beautifully looked after. Glebe itself is a vibrant place within easy access of the city centre. It has a village feel, with plenty of restaurants and bars (we ate there every night). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elizabeth's place and would definitely put it top on our places to stay when in Sydney.
Jun 27, 2019Elizabeth's hospitality blew me away. The room and our own bathroom were immaculate and we had everything we needed for our stay. Elizabeth was a warm and friendly host and also provided us with a lovely warm breakfast as part of the stay. Glebe is an amazing area and Elizabeth's home is well located close to the shops, the light rail and Darling Harbour all being in walking distance. I'm so glad I got to stay in such a lovely home. Jun 27, 2019Well, this was by far the best Accommodation experience I have ever had, after travelling 5 months around the world, that's a big call. It was really easy to get from the Airport and back and forth to the ICC at Darling Harbour. They were the most hospitable hosts you could wish to have, your own bathroom and comfy bed with plenty of room to move. So many restaurants to choose from and a huge Shopping Centre just up the road. I almost cried when I had to leave. Thank you sooo much.

Jun 27, 2019Charming obliging and gracious hosts, generous and accommodating. The room is pleasant and well-furnished, with a large comfortable bed. Small thing missing, I'd have liked a bedside table. Bathroom perfect. Would certainly recommend to anyone, and I'll check if the room is available next time I'm in that part of the world.
Jun 27, 2019It's my first time to use this service in Sydney, I was a little nervous, not very sure what kind of place I would dwell in, not sure who I am going to deal with,to be honest. I was totally relaxed after the initial communication with her, she is very kind and warm, she kept on informing me what necessary matters, even including parking. When I arrived in front of her house, which is right behind the historical Valhalla cinema at Glebe, my eyes wildly opened, her place is sitting in an old-style building with a beautiful garden, a nice bobbling fountain. She met me and lead to my place, when I stepped in the room, my jaws fell on the ground and it took me a few minutes to pick them up and closed. In a big room, sits a nice iron-framed bed, the bedding looks like an oil painting, very artistic. The space is much more bigger than I would expect. The owner hearted prepare fruits, snacks and even bottled water, that is so touched, everyone who lives in Sydney would know drinking water is not an issue at all, however she prepares the bottled water, when she realized that I drink more water, she prepared jags of them, you know what, she even used the food wrapper to cover it. The independent bathroom is also big, she would clean it up everyday, when you step in it, it looks like it isn't being used at all, there is no a drop of water on the glass door, mirror, or wherever you would think it would be. Both her husband and herself are super nice to the guest, even though I am a horrible one, hardly communicate with them, except basic greetings. How terrible I am. The night before I go back to China, both of them prepared a farewell dinner for me, but I bailed, you can see how a terrible guest I am. Her location is wonderful, next to Glebe point road, It's easy to walk around the neighbourhood, beautiful cafes, restaurants, stores and bus stops are within two minutes walking distance. Her place is so beautiful, I would wake up in the birds' singing every morning, sometimes, her cute house cat would come and greet you. Stay at her place is a wonderful experience, like staying at home…this would carve in my brain for a long long time.
