Neighborhood Overview
Fall asleep with the sound of the ocean and wake up to birds' singing as the gorgeous sunrise ascends above your windows. The bedrooms have brand new mattresses and fresh linens. The bathrooms are immaculate and well organized with fresh towels and amenities. There are several activities in close proximity including Sea Life Park (where you can swim with the dolphins, Or you can hike an easy trail up to the Makapu'u Lighthouse where you can whale watch in the winter months. Along a 10-minute breathtaking coastal drive you' can stop at Makapu'u and Sandy Beaches (watch or go boogy boarding), Blowhole, Hanauma Bay (Snorkeling) and arrive in Hawaii Kai with great restaurants, shopping and all sorts of activities from boating, jet-skiing, para-sailing, golf, etc.. A 30-40 minute drive will take you to Pearl Harbor, Downtown, Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Center. A 45 minute drive will take you to the North Shore and Haleiwa. Everything about this experience was positive. Gilles met us when we arrived and was very responsive if I ask about anything. The house is even better than the pictures. It's well equipped with everything you need. The neighborhood is quiet and the people friendly. The walk to the beach was less than a minute. Since there aren't any resorts on this side of the island, it was like we had the beach to ourselves. If you want to get anywhere on the island, it was an easy drive from this location. Overall an excellent experience for me and my family. Thanks Gilles!

Jun 27, 2019Our stay in Waimanalo was incredible, due in large part to our amazing accommodations. The home was even more beautiful in person. From the upper deck, you have an incredible view of the mountains and the ocean. Not only was the home stunning - it was provided with snorkeling gear, bodyboards, and beach chairs. We made good use of the gear at the beach (just a few minutes walk from the house). Thank you Gilles for your hospitality!
Jun 27, 2019We arrived very late to night, so had agreed to meet Gilles the next day, but the whole house was lit up for our arrival. It was idyllic; tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished and with a lovely pool and outside lounging area which is totally private thanks to the landscaping of the garden. There is also an upstairs sunbathing and eating deck where we had dinner under the stars a number of times. A lot of thought has gone into equipping the place; there are beach towels, deck chairs and body boards to take along to the beautiful Waimanalo beach which is literally a 100 yards walk away. There is a huge washing machine and dryer which we made use of throughout our stay. The kitchen was extremely well equipped; being English we wanted to make tea and the only thing we couldn't find was a kettle. We mentioned this to Gilles and a couple of hours later he arrived with one for us. We absolutely loved our stay there and will miss the peace and the sound of the waterfall in the pool. We'll also miss the lovely birds that came into the garden, including some small chickens! The Waimanalo area is not well served by restaurants (unless you like burger chains), so we rarely ate out, but there is a small local supermarket two miles up the road and a larger Safeway store a couple of miles further on. Gilles made it clear that we only had to phone him if we needed anything, but at the same time he was completely unobtrusive as a host and we thought that was a really good balance. We did contact him a couple of times for advice about things like taxis, and he always responded quickly. All in all a great stay in a lovely home that we would recommend to anyone. Thanks Gilles!
Jun 27, 2019The location is perfect! This was our fourth visit to Hawaii, and the best experience we have ever had. The house is located in an authentic, residential neighborhood, close to many shopping options. Not only is it walking distance to one of the best beaches in the world, it is a barefoot one minute stroll. The beach itself is clean, quiet, and safe with beautiful views. The house is extremely well equipped. Bathrooms are stocked with essentials, the kitchen is fully appointed. Our favorite features were the pool, lanai area, air conditionning and proximity to the beach. Gilles was there to greet us when we arrived, and available whenever we had any questions during our stay. He was warm, friendly, and helpful. We adored time there and look forward to returning!
Jun 27, 2019This place was amazing! The photos were spot on and the location was great! The home was fully stocked with anything you could want in a vacation home. The pool was fantastic, our own private oasis and the beach was literally a 1 minute walk. I can't wait to come back with my family!

Jun 27, 2019This place was amazing! A minute walk to the beach. Fully loaded with everything you could think of: washer, dryer, detergent, dryer sheets, beach toys, beach chairs, swim floaties for kids, tupperware so you could eat on the beach, ziploc bags, foil, everything! The place was clean and spacious - we had more than enough space to fit our group. We loved having dinner in the kitchen area then having dessert and a swim over in the lanai. The morning views - AMAZING. You step outside and there is a breathtaking view of the mountain side. There are little lizards and one got into the house - but no big deal, it is Hawaii after all. This place is a little bit of a drive to a big city, but it was totally fine being away from that scene.But if you did want to drive, the drive was filled with beautiful scenery. There is a cottage in front of this main house, but you wouldn't know it - the owners / hosts did a great job of separating the 2 houses and maintaining the privacy for each. I would definitely stay here again!
Jun 27, 2019We had the most amazing visit to your home. Thank you Jessi for being such a gracious host. The home couldn't be more perfect. The location is about 75 yards to Waimanalo Beach, how can you beat that? The homeowners thought of everything! They have boogie boards, snorkling equipment, beach chairs, beach towels, and the ladies made me mention- even makeup remover! You can't even get that in a fancy hotel. We so enjoyed "living" in Hawaii for the week. Because with this home you felt your time was spent relaxing and living- not just visiting. My sons really loved the pool and they swam in it every morning and evening. The outdoor lanai is a great place to sit and socialize or just hang out. There are Sonos speakers outside and inside to play your music. The propane grill came in handy a few nights which I loved! Every room was decorated so nicely as well-It felt like we were the very first people to ever stay in the home. We really enjoyed every part of our visit and hope to return someday soon. Jun 27, 2019We just wanted to say how much our family from both Australia and the US enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was above all of our expectations. The location was extraordinary with postcard views in a very quiet neighbourhood. The home was well equipped with toiletries, towels including beach towels, beach chairs, snorkelling gear, body boards. The kitchen was well appointed, bedrooms were very comfortable, the pool area was amazing. It is great for an extended family get together or a friend's getaway. I would recommend that unless you intend to park yourselves at the home, a rental car is highly recommended for getting around. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Jun 27, 2019Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. This was our first AirBnb experience and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The house perfectly accommodated our family of 7. The house was fully equipped, clean and absolutely beautiful. The pool is AMAZING!!!! Just a quick 1 minute walk to the beach was so easy for my mother who now uses a cane. We drive around the island and I must say, the beach where the house is located is by far the best (secluded and beautiful). We really couldn't be happier with our stay, the communication with Sherry was so easy and she was always quick to respond. I highly recommend booking this house as we personally will be doing so every future trip to Oahu. Thanks David, Sherry and Rudi! Best family trip ever.
Jun 27, 2019Fantastic home for a family vacation. The layout is ideal and everything is clean and updated. I was surprised by how close it was to the beach access. The pool is small but it didn't matter to our children. There really wasn't one thing wrong with this property. We truly enjoyed our stay. If Waimanalo is your desired location you can't do better.
Jun 27, 2019Great, well appointed house within a minutes walk to a gorgeous beach. The owners provide lots of beach accessories, including chairs, snorkels, boogie boards and an abundance of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. The street is quiet and friendly. Great communication regarding check in/check out along with great suggestions for area activities. We had a wonderful stay!

Jun 27, 2019This is a great property located a minute away from the best beach on the island. The house is great and met all of our needs. My elderly parents, my sister, and my family of four stayed at this house for 8 days and never felt cramped. The pool is amazing, especially if you have kids, and Waimanalo is a great location to stay at. Kailua is 15 minutes drive away and offers a ton of great restaurant and shopping options. There's really so much great things that can be said for this property and management team it's hard to capture it all. The only negative we have to share is concerning the bed frame in the master bedroom. Within minutes of arriving my 70 year old father tripped and fell onto the tile floor after hitting his shin on the corner of the frame when he was walking in from the master bathroom. Luckily he was not seriously hurt. Three other people hit their shins on the very same corner of the bedframe and have bruises to show for it. Anyway, this did not detract from our overall experience at all but just wanted future vacationers to have a courtesy heads up. We all agree this property and manager deserve a 5 star rating and we definitely would stay here again on our next vacation to Oahu.
Jun 27, 2019The beach house was amazing. Beautiful, close to the wonderful beach, well organized. The labels in the light switches are so useful. The safety features for our toddlers put our mind at rest and we enjoyed the lovely pool, all our pictures came out gorgeous. We watch the sun rise everyday on the roof. For our family with little kids it was perfectly located, fully stocked with everything we might need (stroller, highchair, safety gate, floaters for the pool) and close to everything. Communication was a breeze!

Jun 27, 2019Wonderful house for a group of people. We ended up spending more time around the pool than expected. The House is laid out wonderfully and actually lives bigger than it is. We ended up with 6 people instead of 8, but would have had no issue with 8. It is turnkey and ready for your stay, and you’re a 2 minute walk from the beach and is far more secluded and relaxing than being on Waikiki beach. Highly recommend.

He went out of his way to make sure every request was accommodated which made our stay perfect. The house and location are awesome in every way. It was our second family vacation at this property and we would 100% do a third in the future.
Jun 27, 2019Not far from the beach, this beach house was fully stocked and very comfortable for the nine adults in our party. When not at the beach with provided beach accessories, we were lounging around the pool, dining on the lanai or playing dominoes on the deck. This beach house is so pleasant that you will not want to leave!

THE BEACH IS 2 MIN WALK AWAY. Views are extraordinary. My wife and I recommend this place for everyone!
