Come stay at my beautiful place in Astoria (on 1st floor ). It's right by the trains 20 min to Manhattan, 15 to LaGuardia airport. Jun 27, 2019Christiano is a very warm and welcoming host. He is a relaxed guy with no hassles. Always responded promptly to my messages. The room is clean, with linen and towels, in a great safe neighborhood right next to restaurants and cafes. Also really close to the subway station with a direct connection into town. He was there personally to receive us, which I appreciated, and we had good conversations. I will definitely stay there again.
Jun 27, 2019The room was just as in the pictures and the host has put in efforts to do up the house. The kitchen is sufficient for cooking meals equipped with all basic utensils. The room has a closet, and side-tables to keep your belongings. The host was very welcoming, talkative and enthusiastic to share knowledge about local trends.He was kind enough to enumerate restaurants of my choice of food. Overall it was a decent budget stay.
Jun 27, 2019My days in Cristiano's place were simply perfect. The place was impeccable and the room was big. I had my privacy, but he was also very fun to talk to. He stayed in touch through and always made himself available when I needed to ask him anything. Will definitely come back and I highly recommend to anyone!
Jun 27, 2019Cristiano was a really good host. He was available for any help whenever I need it, but I still had a lot of privacy. The room and the flat look exactly as it is shown at the pictures. Everything was clean. The good thing was that I could use everything in the kitchen and the bathroom. Location is also very good, just five minutes walk to the nearest subway and it takes 15 minutes to midtown. It was just a little bit noisy because of airplanes, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep well. It was my first airbnb expirience and thanks to Cristiano I am sure I will do it again.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is comfortable, spacious enough for 3 people, no complaints. We didn't use the kitchen, but it was large enough to be able to cook in if needed. The location is great. Short walk to many great restaurants, bars, and attractions. Great value.

Cristiano nos ha tratado super bien, con mucho cariño y respeto, siempre atento a nuestras necesidades, pero dejándonos el espacio suficiente para nuestra comodidad. Jun 27, 2019It was a great living space the room was exactly how it was described in the pictures I even extended my stay, the subway was only a few streets away and also there's so much choice of food. At night it's so quiet that you have the best sleep ever. I would recommend staying here if you're ever in Astoria and also one of the best hosts ever.

Jun 27, 2019I enjoyed my stay at Cristiano's. The apartment was clean and spacious. The location was very convenient with many restaurants nearby. It was only 30 minutes by subway to midtown Manhattan. Also, there was on-street parking available. Excellent value!
Jun 27, 2019Great space in a great location! Totally convenient to Astoria nightlife but you can't hear the city from the room. Accommodations are just as pictured. Spotlessly clean. Finding on-street parking was easy. Cristiano is excellent with communication and dealt graciously with my scheduling needs. I would happily stay here again.

The apartment is located in a quiet street in a neighbourhood with lots of restaurants (many of them Greek), cafes, and small businesses. There's a subway station (Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard) a 5 minute walk from Cristiano's place. From there the N and Q trains bring you to Manhattan in some 25 minutes. Cristiano was a friendly, helpful host. In particular, he was very quick to respond to all my messages before arrival. He was also flexible about check-in and check-out hours (which was great!). Would recommend!

Jun 27, 2019All I was looking for was a warm bed to sleep on, and this place is exactly that. I showed up about an hour later than we had originally agreed, and it wasn't a problem at all. The host was gracious and accommodating, and otherwise left me alone.
Jun 27, 2019Awesome stay! The place was as advertised and very clean and neat. The neighborhood was nice as well and didn't feel unsafe coming home late at night. Good location close to the metro and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Cristiano was very welcoming and friendly as was his Cousin Mario. The bed was super comfy and perfect for what I needed. My only complaint was that I didn't stay longer! Would definitely recommend and definitely come back again. Thanks Cristiano!

Our timing didn't quite sync up, and he came back just to meet me, and made sure that I was all set and had all my questions answered before he left. The room is very comfortable and quiet. I highly recommend the host and the room!

Jun 27, 2019Christiano was warm and friendly. He let us cook in his apartment. His place is a five minute walk from the subway. He let us know that his apartment is a five floor walk-up ahead of time, but it was quite a bit of walking after walking all day. I think that it would be a good place for a single young person to stay at. I didn't like the neighborhood as much as I thought I would. There was graffiti on some of the walls in the neighborhood.
Jun 27, 2019I came in to the city feeling a little down, but when I ventured into Astoria to stay at Cristiano's apartment, I met a smiling, warm and amazing human being who was an exceedingly gracious, accommodating, and kind host. He helped jump start my stay in the city to one that became a hugely immemorable and timeless few nights, and that is largely due to the welcoming and peaceful environment in which I stayed. There can be possibly no other, more apt way to describe an experience as saying, "It was a gift for me to be staying here. It was a blessing."

Jun 27, 2019Nice place. Big comfortable bed. Good A/C. Welcoming host. Definitely a recommend. Only downsides are that it's on the 5th floor and the bathroom, although clean and perfectly functional, is on the small side .. but neither of these was an issue for me.

Aircondition works nice and Christiano is a really friendly and cool guy!!! The neighborhood is safe with good restaurants and a 30 minute ride with the subway downtown.

He even provided many things to me in his own apartment that are above and beyond what he had to do as a host. With work I wasn't able to talk with him as much as I'd have liked to but I hope to keep in touch and actually move to the area in the near future!

Jun 27, 2019The room is conveniently located just a few short blocks away from all the bars and restaurants on Ditmars, as well as the N/Q train to take you in to the city. Cristiano was super accommodating and the room was very clean. We would have no problem staying here again if/when we come back to the city.

Shops and restaurants make Cristiano's place ideal for a room rental. Subway is just a couple of minutes away and leads straight to Manhattan in 15'. I'd definitely book again when in NYC in the future.

Jun 27, 2019The place is exactly the same as on photos. Cristiano is a busy man, so I haven't seen him too much, however you can always contact him via mobile and he is very helpful. He's also very communicative - you can expect simple messages as 'how are you, everything's ok?', what is very kind. The location is perfect; simple transport to Manhattan (1 train ride, 8 stops to 5th Ave), quiet neighbourhood, a lot of small shops, restaurant and pubs - everything I need. If I visit New York next time, I definitely choose this host and place.

Jun 27, 2019The room was very dirty and filthy. Dirty linen, towels, ceiling fan was full of accumulated soot. The shower was completely filled with mold and fungus. The linen and pillows smelled. The bed spread had "stains" and "hair". Disgusting, just gross! This was my first time using Airbnb and all the reviews I read on hosts room seemed very positive. So I decided to get it. I blame myself.... the old saying "get what you pay for" . The host seemed nice enough BUT, my fiance' and I could not stay there and basically had to get a another hotel in Astoria (at an Additional cost of $800 on top of the host's of $300 + for 3 nights). The host's room priced at $80 was not even worth $10 IMO. In New York completely "stranded" and looking for another Hotel... freezing cold, carrying luggage on a Friday night while taking a 7 am flight to arrive for family and business trip. Airbnb site is IMO not customer friendly about requesting a refund. I could not find a phone # on entire site for this kind of situation to get my refund or request some kind of resolution. I had to lookup up (Hidden by Airbnb) how to even request a refund. Basically my experience after my trip is that Airbnb expects you the renter to resolve your grievance with the host. Basically tell the host your're not happy or comfortable of the conditions of their home or room and resolve it yourselves if you can navigate around their completely complicated website when it comes to issues like mine. Basically tell hosts yourself that their house is in my case completely unacceptable and disgusting and hopefully get a refund days later at the hosts discretion. After messaging host which again I say seemed nice enough I got only $131 back at his discretion of fairness. I don't recommend the hosts room for anything more than last option resort rather sleeping on the street. A better option and cheaper option is renting a car and sleeping in that car if you don't get a parking ticket whilst parked overnight. If the hosts room, bed and shower are completely disgusting and can't be used than it's the same as a rented car without a shower. Everything always seems like a good idea till something goes wrong like this....then try looking on this site to find a phone # to get some kind of resolution or refund or compromise is like a puzzle within an enigma inside of a maze. Even now trying to upload pictures I took of hosts house to show other guests contemplating using host's room of actual bed sheets, bed, shower, bathroom seem impossible. Also, having to write "required" 500 essay or review about my experience seems like a way not wanting a guest like me to write a bad review... a way of having me shut up and take my $$$ loss without any say so and go away thanks

The room and bathroom were acceptable. However, the location was great. There are a lot of restaurants, cafés, and bars in 5 minutes walking distance. Moreover, the metro station is approximately 6-7 minutes walking from the apartment. I would definitely suggest this room for other travelers.

Alojamiento muy limpio, temperatura ideal, cama muy comoda y todo acompañado con un barrio muy seguro y agradable! 20 minutos del centro en metro! The neighborhood is safe and lively with shops and restaurants in a walkable distance. I would not hesitate to stay in Cristiano's place again if I am to go to New York again!

His place is a short walk from the Astoria-Ditmars subway station, which made it very easy to go to Manhattan and other parts of NYC. The bed is comfy, and his place is well kept and clean. I highly recommend Cristiano as a host for your stay in NYC!

Cristiano is very friendly and ready to help, if needed. The apartment was very clean and had 2 nice tv sets. The only suggestion I have is that the bathroom, which was very clean, could do with some freshening up.

Jun 27, 2019Cristiano's place was great and in a great neighborhood in Queens. Not far from Laguardia Airport. He was a great host! Was nervous about booking somewhere i've never been before but the neighborhood wasn't bad even coming home late at night. Would definitely stay there again.
Jun 27, 2019We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cristiano's! He was easy to get in touch with and very accommodating with our stay. He checked in with us in the morning to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. He was very flexible with checking in and checking out. The apartment was clean. The room was a good size and he had put up an AC for the warmer weather. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. There were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby that are open very late or 24/7. Easy walk to the bus or train. Street parking is limited but we were able to park a couple of blocks down. Overall it was great and we would definitely recommend!

Jun 27, 2019Apartment was very clean. The host was flexible and friendly. Its on the 5th floor and had to drag bags up the narrow stairway. While clean, the apartment is very old and spartan. The TV in the room was apparently out of service. It was fine for the night.
Jun 27, 2019Great location - super close to the main street of Ditmares. We walked for hours around Astoria & it was beautiful. Astoria Park is within walking distance & offers a nice green setting in amongst the city's concrete. Loved the feel of so many different cultures melting together in a few short city blocks. We had Greek food at the 26th Ave Tavern, & ramen & Japanese bar food at a place right around the corner from the apartment. Delicious! We also walked down to a beer garden a few blocks away. Cristaino's apartment is perfectly quaint & secure for 2 people. Exactly what we needed for a day to explore the area. He took us up to the roof after dark as well and had an awesome view of the cityscape! We would definitely recommend!

Jun 27, 2019Christiano' s place was clean and comfortable. It's close to the train and restaurants in a lively Greek neighborhood. The neighborhood is safe and fun while the bedroom faces in on the courtyard so it is nice and quiet. I never met Christiano, but his cousin checked me in and took care of anything I might need. The A/C is adequate and the bedroom door locks. I would stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019Great location in a quiet area but very close to the bussel. The train is maybe a 6 min walk and you pass anything you may want to eat or buy on the way there. If you want to be just outside the city with easy access. This is the place.

Location is legit perfect, neighborhood is quiet but has plenty of nightlife/things to do less than a block away. Perfect spot for what I was in town for. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back myself.

Nous rentrions tard, et nous les avons peu croisés, ils restaient dans leur chambre en restant discret. Quartier tranquille.

Unfortunately, I haven't met Cristiano in person, but his cousin helped me with everything and waited till I arrived (it was late check in at 11pm) and I will definitely recommend this place, it's really nice room with big bed, TV and closet! Didn't get a chance to see Christiano in person, but he is as nice when texting and he really helped me out when I got problems with my schedule. His cousin Oscar was there hosting me. Oscar is super super nice. They are trying to help. Will go back if I get a chance.
Jun 27, 2019Good value for a great location and private bedroom. It is a real private room with a door, bed, desk, and air conditioning, and the bathroom is shared and small but functional. Cristiano is extremely responsive and friendly, making it a convenient and welcoming place to stay.
Jun 27, 2019Great stay! Super Quiet, comfortable bed, the host left the summer A/C unit in the window for me so I could sleep in cool air. Slept like a baby! Cristiano was easy to deal with, he was totally upfront about everything, answered all my questions, and was responsive. The only 2 concerns was that the apartment was on the 5th floor, and no elevator, only stairs, and the tile in the bathroom was a little dirty and old. Hard to clean. Both are issues with the building not something the host can control. Everything the host could provide was 100% as advertised and the place was comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Great if you want to drive to NYC and leave your car without having to worry about parking. Easy walk to the Subway. You share a small apartment with your host who is super friendly! The room and bathroom are small and basic but perfectly clean and comfortable. I'd happily stay again.

Jun 27, 2019The parking was just on the street and was a little difficult for us to find a spot. The host was phenomenal, was very good and gave us an early check in. Also when leaving we had heavy suitcases as we came internationally and they helped us take our bags down, would definitely stay again. Place was clean and close to metro station.

I really enjoyed talking with him. The bedroom and kitchen were very spacious and clean. And, the location is great! I really enjoyed the rooftop view, as well! Jun 27, 2019Cristiano's place was very close to the subway which I took to Manhattan (NW line) and close to lots of coffee shops, bakeries, and a CVS drugstore which was very convenient. I am a young woman travelling alone and felt comfortable at his place as well as in the neighborhood. He was very friendly to me and I had a nice, quiet, relaxing stay.

He had an emergency and could not be there during my stay, but he made sure to leave very detailed instructions and was available via text to answer questions. I really appreciated him not cancelling, despite his emergency, because I was so tired and sleep deprived when I arrived in NYC that I probably would have cried if he had, lol. Thank you, Cristiano!

Cristiano was sociable and very nice, super flexible in regards to check-in and an overall great host. Also had great tips for surrounding restaurants and breakfast spots (all within <5min walking distance). Totally recommend!

It was my very first visit to NYC (also very first Air BnB!) but I had no problem in the city with his useful informations about transportations, and about local places. The place is only a few mins walk from subway station which goes to central manhattan very quickly. I definitely recommend you this place!!

The apartment was cozy and very clean with options of nice flat screen TV to watch Netflix. Definitely recommend.
Jun 27, 2019This was a last minute reservation and Cristiano was nice enough to accommodate me. He is the friendliest host, he instantly gave me the feeling I was welcome at his place. The apartment, in Queens, isn’t big, but hey, it’s New York. Since it’s an older building, there were some noises during the night. I could check out late, which came in very handy. For a short trip to NYC, I would recommend.

Durante nuestra estancia Cristiano no estuvo presente pero nos dejo instrucciones claras y precisas para poder ingresar al apartamento. Para una noche estuvo bien. Llegar a Manhattan en transporte público toma al rededor de una hora. Uber cobra casi 40 dls.

Jun 27, 2019Worst airbnb i've ever stayed in. The beds were dusty, the shower was super dirty. I have pictures. The place was very small. No privacy because they were no curtains on certain windows. The bathroom didn't close. Honestly it was disgusting do not recommend it.

Jun 27, 2019This loft style apartment was wonderful and was everything we expected it to be. Cristiano made check in effortless and easy which was much appreciated after being tired from traveling. He provides a bunch of towels, shampoo, conditioner, coffee and other amenities we were not expecting. Awesome location and price, we would most definitely stay here again for a night on the town!

Jun 27, 2019The location was absolutely great. Train station was less than 10 min walk, and there are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops in between. It takes about 20+min to get to Times Square, very easy access to Manhattan. Host was very kind and helpful, very quick to respond to the messages. I enjoyed staying here.
Jun 27, 2019The pictures are accurate. However, there were just things in the space that were just off. The door to the small bedroom was off the hinges and inoperable. There was one hand towel in the bathroom and none in the kitchen (although Cristiano told us how to find more when we asked). There as a half-eaten carton of ice cream in the freezer without a lid with a plastic spoon in it. The towel rack in the bathroom had fallen off the wall so there wasn't a good place to hang towels. The sheets in the larger bedroom had small rips in them. One big positive: We took a red-eye to NYC and Cristiano met us early in the morning to let us into the apartment so we could store our stuff and take a quick nap. That was huge for us. On the whole, the apartment was kind of okay but could have been really good with just a little more attention to detail.
Jun 27, 2019Ny group and I were very excited for our stay to your place. Especially seeing that you’re a super host. However, we were very disappointed with our one night stay at Cristiano’s place. Not only was Cristiano unresponsive on the Airbnb app, but also on his person phone where I had to dig through Airbnb to find and call him. Furthermore, the condition of the place was a lot worse than we expected. Upon arrival, one of his neighbors came to us telling us someone broke into their place and flipped all their furnitures over. We felt unsafe literally the second we arrived to the place. What made it worst was when we found that the windows couldn’t even lock at Cristiano’s apartment. We ended up leaving our valuables in the car. In addition, there was left over food in the fridge, the door was broken in one the bedrooms, and the floor was extremely dirty. We could feel a thick layer of dust on the floor if we took off our shoes. The bed sheets also felt uncleaned and itchy to sleep on. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend anyone to stay there. I don’t usually like to leave made reviews but I do not want anyone to make the same mistake as us , thinking ‘Superhost’ would make a person/place more trustworthy.

Jun 27, 2019위치는 나쁘지 않습니다. 주변에 편의점, 음식점도 있고 교통도 편리한 편입니다. 체크인할때 굉장히 힘들었습니다. 밤 12시쯤 숙소에 도착한다고 미리 연락을 했으나 막상 도착했을때 호스트와 연락이 되지 않았습니다(문자, 전화 X). 체크인 방법도 사전에 안내받지 못해 문 앞에서 연락을 시도하면서 20여분을 기다렸으나 결국은 안내받지 못하고 혹시나 하는 심정에 문 손잡이를 돌리니 문이 열렸습니다. 우여곡절끝에 집에 들어갔으나...우리를 기다리고 있던건 몇마리의 바퀴벌레였습니다. 뉴욕이니 어느정도는 예상은 했습니다만, 냉장고 안은 제대로 청소되어 있지 않았고 부엌 찬장에는 이전 투숙객들이 먹다 남기고간 과자 봉지 들이 널부러져 있었습니다. 방 2개 짜리였는데 작은방은 굉장히 작고 아무것도 없어 옷을 걸어놓거나 짐을 보관하기 불가능합니다. 출입구옆 옷장에는 청소도구가 아무렇게나 넣어져 있었기 때문에 옷을 걸어놓기가 꺼려질 정도였습니다. 화장실도 깨끗하지 않았고 수건걸이는 망가져 있고 옷을 걸데도 없었습니다. 호스트는 친절한 편이긴 합니다만 가끔 연락이 잘 안됩니다. 뉴욕에서 그 동네 물가를 생각하면 많이 비싼 편은 아니지만 차라리 돈을 좀 더 주고 제대로 된 숙소에서 몸과 마음이 편하게 머무시는 숙소를 찾으시는 것을 권장해드립니다.

Jun 27, 2019Die Wohnung ist groß und super gelegen. Man läuft nur wenige Minuten zur Ubahn. Supermärkte, Restaurants und andere Läden sind direkt um die Ecke. Trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig (abgesehen von den Nachbarn darüber :D ). Obwohl die Wohnung im Erdgeschoss ist, haben wir uns immer sicher gefühlt. Die Wohnung hat die Ausstattung, die man braucht. Falls noch etwas fehlt, kann man Cristiano bescheid sagen. Er antwortet immer sehr schnell und ist sehr hilfsbereit. Nach Manhattan kommt man mit der Bahn in ca 20min, also sehr schnell. Da es eine Endstation ist, steht auch immer schon eine Bahn zum Reinsetzen bereit. Wir konnten zu jeder Uhrzeit fahren, sehr praktisch. Wir können diese Wohnung auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Man muss natürlich die New Yorker Standards bedenken (sehr dünnes ToilPapier, Gasherd, sehr dünne Wände...)

Jun 27, 2019Cristiano was a great host. I’m new to Airbnb and he explained everything I asked about. I had read one bad review that made me nervous but he assured me everything would be to my standard. The place was cleaned, you could smell it was done. I wouldn’t consider the second bedroom to really be for a guestplus their belongings. We were going to possibly have a friend come with us for our trip and she ended up not being able to. I know that room would have been way too small for her. The area on the other hand was perfect! Tons of bars and restaurants to choose from! The subway was a quick 8 minute walk. Cristiano checked in with us the second day to make sure everything was good as well. I liked that he provided plastic bowls and silverware. I would recommend bringing a blanket because there was no extra blankets available. I recommend staying here!
