1. Please do not run the air conditioner with the doors and windows open. Close doors, and windows for the unit to operate efficiently. 2. The coin operated washers and dryers are on the ground floor to the left as you exit the elevators. Please be sure to empty the lint traps on the dryers after each use. 3. Feel free to use any laundry and cleaning products, cooking and food products that are in the condo. 4. No Parties 5. Please do not smoke in our home. Smoking is only permitted on the lawn downstairs in the smoking area to the left of the building. 6. Please follow Hawaii custom and do not wear shoes inside. 7. There is free Wifi for your use 8. There is no BBQ allowed on the lanais. There is a BBQ area for your use located in the pool area at the side of the building. 9. Be sure to lock up the unit before you leave for the day. Jun 27, 2019Alethea and her daughter Lena were excellent hosts for my trip. They were super flexible with my TBD timings and were quite prompt in most responses. The unit was even better than expected, and Lena took the time to not only point everything out, but to have stocked the fridge with some yogurt and beer, in addition to the Kona coffee available to us. The location of the unit is superb (walking to many great restaurants and a short drive to everywhere). I would highly recommend staying with Alethea.
Jun 27, 2019Alethea's place was great! Despite our late arrival we were warmly welcomed by her and her grandson and shown how everything works. The condo is clean, light, nicely furnished and really well located for breakfast spots, farmers market restaurants and beaches. Alethea made everything super easy and we would have no hesitation in returning.
Jun 27, 2019Someone met us at the condo with the keys exactly when agreed upon time. Gave us tour around condo getting us acclimated. Condo was very nice, even better than pictures. Neighborhood was nice walking distance to numerous restaurants and bars. Pool was small but nice. It was just about a 5 minute walk to the beach. It is the perfect location for amenities and activities. Thank you Alethea and Family for a great stay.

Jun 27, 2019This trip to Hawaii was our first one. Alethea's condo was the perfect home away from home. It was clean, comfortable, very centrally located with a great view. We made several trips to the farmer's market in the church's parking and got to enjoy and discover local fruits. Most things in "downtown" Kona was within walking distance. The included parking was a great perk, too. We never had to look for a spot when we did take the car. Alethea couldn't meet with us, but made sure we were welcomed in person. This was really appreciated. Alethea is a great host. I would definitely stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019We had an incredible experience at Alethea's hale in Kailua-Kona! The view is breathtaking and the condo was spotless. The furnishings were very tasteful and clean, we loved the palm tree, pineapple theme. We would recommend this space to anybody wanting easy, close, access to downtown in a clean, safe, beautiful hale! Mahalo Alethea!

Jun 27, 2019My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay! The building was quiet, and unassuming from the outside. The apartment was lovely - clean and modern, with a nice porch facing the ocean! It was quiet to sleep, and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy coffee in the morning. It was a quick walk to Ali'i Dr. and to the trolley, and both Alethea and her son were very helpful!
Jun 27, 2019This place was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, my wife and I weren't able to meet with Alethea, but her daughter was there to greet us. She made us feel completely comfortable and welcomed. Alethea has literally anything you could possibly need during your stay and gave us access to it all. The patio has a wonderful view and is literally around the corner from Ali'i Drive (popular venue), farmer's market, and the ocean. I couldn't have picked a better place to stay and for a better price. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this condo. Oh, and not to forget, she even gave us coupons to a really great local restaurant. Loved it!

Jun 27, 2019Perfect! We were island hopping and spending many nights in a hotel. I wanted a home with a kitchen, and Alethea's home was perfect. The condo was comfortable and clean, the view was relaxing, the communication with Alethea and family was easy, the building was in a great location, and there was a washer and dryer, which was a plus!

Her place is in a very convenient location-- close to the Kona airport, walking distance to the shoreline, restaurants, and a short drive to multiple tour operators. We loved the location and enjoyed checking out the farmers market that’s right there in the church parking lot. The place was very clean with a nice breeze, and was fully stocked with beach and bath towels and all the kitchen amenities. You can see the ocean off the porch and you have a view of the mountain out the front door. Alethea said to call if we needed anything at all. I was not expecting to need to call her, but when checking out I accidentally locked my iPod inside. She was over in a matter of minutes. We would stay here again. Great cozy place.
Jun 27, 2019A real good property to rent. We were more interested in finding a new beach everyday than sitting around a resort pool and this was perfect for us. The view is great and the elevator to get you to the sixth floor was a nice extra as well as the fridge ice maker. Communications with Alethea was seemless. We' stay here again.
Jun 27, 2019We were very pleased with Alethea's condo. It was really clean and the full kitchen was nice. Lots of cool breezes from both sides plus ceiling fans kept things nice and cool. Also the added security of having to use a key to enter the elavator was nice too. We would definitely stay here again next time we go to Kona.

Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay at the condo right in Kailua Kona area, I highly recommend this condo. Great for one person or a couple. Some a great things. 1) IT'S CLEAN! yay! and they include the cleaning in your payment, no extra cleaning fee. 2) SAFE, even the building elevator has a key. 3) Tenants are quiet and mostly retired people. It's near the main street, so a little street noise, but that dies down by 9 or 10pm. Great view of the beach. Walk 2 blocks to the beach and main tourist area. Building also has onsite manager and coin laundry. Really nice stay! Thank you Alethea.
Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay in Althea's condo. We found the condo to be clean, spacious, and nicely located. There is a Farmer's Market close by. We made daily treks for their sweet papayas. The condo is also within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. It also was nice having a numbered parking space for our car. Althea was friendly and flexible. We checked in at 6pm and she waited for us outside the condo to help orient us to the surrounding area as well as the condo. Thanks, Althea!
Jun 27, 2019I had a very comfortable stay in Alethea's place; it was really well-equipped for all my needs. Strong wifi, comfy bed, a great shower, a good kitchen, beach towels, a balcony to enjoy my morning coffee, and my own parking spot. It's just a short walk to the village/waterfront shops and restaurants, too.

Located right in the heart of Kailua Kona, it also makes for a great base camp to explore the west side of the island. Alethea was a wonderful host. She worked around our schedule and showed us around the place.

Really really sweet and attending to details. The place was really great, and had everything we needed. The shower is great!! And the location is prime- close to the airport and walking distance to a bunch of adventures on the main beach strip. Really great stay, highly recommend!

L'appartement est charmant et bien équipé et la vue sur l'océan est magnifique. Il est idéalement situé au coeur de Kona et de ses restaurants et boutiques. Nous avons pu faire plein de choses à pied, sans parler du marché juste en bas de l'immeuble.

Island Ono Loa Grill has a great hot dog, 808 Grindz Cafe which the breakfast sandwich was so good, Scandinavian Shave Ice on Ali'i drive was good, Bongo Ben's was underwhelming, we drove out to Hapuna and had delicious snacks from Island Naturals and poke from KTA and Kona Brewing was the best meal and beer we had there!?! We also enjoyed beverages on the lanai and watched the sun go down. There was a cooler, beach bag, mat and beach towels which were great for our beach trip. Loved the stay. Simple clean up instruction.

Jun 27, 2019My husband and I spent two weeks in Hawaii for our honeymoon. We are also experienced users of Airbnb services, and this was one of the best experience we've had. The condo is the cutest thing and perfect if you want to cook and save some food money. It is exactly where you want to be: central enough that you can walk to everything (except a real grocery store), but not on the main street so the noise doesn't bother you at night. Everything was working perfectly. Alethea was also a great, nice, relax and easy-going hostess. She even came back after we checked-in to bring us a laundry basket because we told her we might want to do some! She also provides detergent. We spent 2 nights at the condo, but if I ever go back to Kona, I would love to stay there for a week, it's so cozy!!
Jun 27, 2019Really lovely condo, with lots of attention to detail in the decor and amenities. There is literally everything a guest could want or need, short the swimsuit! Beautifully decorated, extremely clean with very comfy bed. Kitchen was very nice, with everything you need for cooking. The location is perfect, within walking distance of of Alii Drive, with an amazing ocean view. Assigned parking included. Alethea is a great host, key drop off was easy and she had good tips on surrounding restaurants and activities. Do yourself a favor and stay here. We were very sorry to leave!

Our host was only there to greet us when we arrived but she was very generous in giving us suggestions and offering for us to use any of the food or supplies in the apartment. The apartment is very very clean and easy to get to many things from. We would absolutely stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019Alethea is an amazing host - incredibly nice and welcoming, and she gave us tips for local events happening during our stay. The apartment is beautiful, with a small lanai (balcony) overlooking the ocean and "downtown," and it's just a block from the farmer's market. It's well-maintained and very comfortable, with ceiling fans in addition to the AC. The building is quiet and mostly retirees, so best to choose another location if you're interested in having a loud party. Kind and helpful folks at every turn. Highly recommended!

Jun 27, 2019Super clean! Her condo is spacious and she does such a great job cleaning it and making it comfortable. There are lots of clean towels and toiletries. I did accidentally lock myself out on her balcony (don't slam the balcony door or it will lock automatically!!) but she got to the condo in like 10 minutes and freed me. Overall, very highly recommended.

The lanai overlooks the coast, making for beautiful and relaxing sunsets; the kitchen is well stocked and equipped; the bed is so cosy with fan and AC; and only a short walk from the beach and restaurants. Overall, the whole place is like home. This was our favourite place to stay in our whole trip. Alethea is a kind and thoughtful host, instantly contacting us with assistance when inclement weather was heading our way.
Jul 27, 2019The condo is in a great walkable location in Kona. It is a roomy condo with a great ocean view. We were very comfortable there. Alethea was a great host meeting us later than originally scheduled due to our flight delay. She even had a snack waiting for us since many of the restaurants stopped serving food by the time we got into town. Overall a great condo and host.

Jun 27, 2019Appartamento molto spazioso. Comoda la possibilità di usufruire (a pagamento 3$) di lavatrice e asciugatrice nella lavanderia del condominio. In dotazione abbiamo trovato anche lo smacchiante che si è rivelato molto utile. Il posto auto è riservato all'appartamento e quindi sempre libero. Molto veloce nelle risposte via email. Posizione comoda per raggiungere a piedi i ristoranti della zona.

Alethea was a fantastic host--she was super friendly and accommodating, and she obviously wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The condo was great--it was comfortable, outfitted with everything we possibly could have needed, and just had a welcoming vibe to it. The view from the balcony was incredible (many cups of coffee and happy hour beverages were enjoyed there!) The location couldn't have been more convenient. We were able to walk to dining and shopping, but we were also easily able to jump on the highway when we desired. All in all a great stay. Only wish we could have stayed longer!!

It was clean and I appreciated the little details like making sure there was coffee and coffee filters! (Surprisingly I stayed at five air bnb's and while this was the least expensive AirBnB, it was the -only- place that had all the things we would need! The others all had small issues. This was the -only- Hawaii AirBnB that didn't have any hiccups.) I decided to stay here based on the positive reviews and highly recommend it myself! Thanks for making our stay great. :)

Jun 27, 2019We loved staying at Alethea's condo. She is a wonderful host! She was always quick to respond from the start of our communications. Her condo is in a great location in Kailua-Kona, within easy walking distance of all the downtown restaurants and attractions. The condo is very clean and tidy and by far, the best equipped Airbnb property we have ever stayed at. Alethea has thought of every little amenity you could possibly desire. The building is a well run property with a reserved parking space. We would recommend this listing to anyone and will come back again!

Jun 27, 2019What a gem! This place was so close to Ali'i drive that you could see it and the ocean, yet not have to deal with the traffic of staying on ali'i drive! You can walk to the hustle and bustle but with a guaranteed parking spot, you can get in and out quickly for your adventure! The apartment is clean, perfect sized, and well equipped. The hostess was friendly, accommodating, and has forgotten nothing. I would absolutely stay here again when in the area. My only negative is that I'm a pillow person, so could have done with newer/more pillow options! A minor thing! This was way better than I even hoped for!

Alii Drive is one block away - shops, restaurants, market and spectacular scenery along the coastline. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved being able to hear the ocean off in the distance. Well appointed with all the comforts of home away from home. Wish we had stayed longer.

The apartment is on on the 6th floor so you get a good view of the ocean with the church steeple in the foreground. Beautiful sunsets. Really close to farmers market and the hub of the little town so a perfect place if you want to walk around a lot. No beaches in immediate area however so know that you do need a car.

Jun 27, 2019If you are looking for a central place to stay, then look no further. We stayed here for 3 nights while in Kona and it was an exceptional experience. I enjoyed greeting each day with a cup of coffee sitting on the balcony looking out at the ocean. The condo was spotless and contained everything we needed including a cooler, bamboo mat for the beach and much more. The kitchen had all the essentials. You can tell that the owner cares about providing a nice home away from home and was quick to respond to any questions or help requested. There is a designated parking spot, a secure elevator and coin operated (very nice) laundry on premise. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Jun 27, 2019This was our first Airbnb experience, and it could not have been better. Athena's condo was spacious, tastefully furnished -- and spotlessly clean! She also had clearly spent time and effort in making guests were comfortable, from thick towels, shampoo and lotions, to a picnic cooler and first aid kit. She also had an extensive collection of menus in a binder to help guests who left her well-furnished kitchen, to eat out. The location was convenient yet quiet, and the lovely ocean view was even better than shown in the pictures. And while we didn't need to call on her, she was just minutes away if we need anything. Thank you, Athena, for such a great introduction to Airbnb.
Jun 27, 2019The perfect location in an apartment building that legally accommodates about 50% STVR's so you are in competent hands. Fabulous dozing off to the sound of the waves but bring ear-plugs for middle of the night garbage collection and leaf blowers or close the windows. The apartment is a perfect short term size with everything you could need to enjoy time off - on the 5th floor so great views to boot. Very comfy bed with lots of cushions, great water pressure in the shower and fans to move the air around. Definitely well recommended.

Jun 27, 2019Although location is good, communication and instructions with the host were very poor to the point of ruining our stay. First of all, fridge wasn't cleaned up properly and we were surprised to see open used egg shells in the fridge (makes you wonder what else wasn't cleaned?) She was having issues with the hot water, and simply texted us to turn a switch on (without explaining where it was) and wait 10 minutes. We finally found it and waited and it didn't work, NO HOT WATER. We immediately contacted her inquiring about the switch and letting her know it wasn't working, and had no response until after we checked out with just saying "sorry, yes that was the right switch", we had to shower with COLD water for three days, we didn't pay what we paid for cold water showers, that was a total scam and she was very uncooperative (from very quick responses during check in process to complete radio salience once we raised the hot water issue) and rejected any request for refund despite acknowledging that she didnt provide us with hot water. Honestly, save yourselves the risk of staying with this host.

Jun 27, 2019The home was clean and convenient to shops and restaurants just as described. Alethea was very accommodating and check in and check out went very smoothly. The dedicated parking spot was super helpful. Some rentals have water sports items included like body boards so that would be nice there were goggles for snorkeling but there is a place that rents the whole get up (goggles, tubes and fins) inexpensively down the road. The only slight negative is that I found the bed a little uncomfortable and cramped for two people. The stay over all was wonderful though.

Jun 27, 2019Alethea's apartment is immaculate and well stocked. You could easily cook meals there, but we walked the 2 blocks to shopping and restaurant district. Incredible view from the balcony. Also, our flight was delayed 8 hours causing us to get into Kona very late. Alethea communicated with us the whole time and had a lockbox waiting for us. I would absolutely recommend Alethea's!
Jun 27, 2019Alethea's condo was terrific for our trip. My wife and I stayed 8 nights here! It is within walking distance to the shore line and all the shops and restaurants. Everything we needed for the trip was available extra towels, beach towels, beach chairs, a snorkel set. Also having a set parking spot is really convenient everyday when coming back. It provides a great view as well, wondering sunrises and sunsets. Would recommended to anyone.

Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed our stay -- the condo actually had a well-stocked kitchen so we only had to buy fresh food. Location was great for downtown Kona as well as touring the island. Alethea also helped me arrange a make-up appointment for the wedding I was attending. The price was right after finding out what others were paying for hotels!

It was clean, had a great balcony, it was close to the local shops and main strip, and every amenity you could need - from beach towels and snorkels to sunscreen and laundry - was included. Jun 27, 2019This place is in an awesome location close to the heart of downtown Kona. Everything is within walking distance, which comes in handy since parking is tight in the downtown. When you see the pic of the church in the photos, you can use that as the landmark for where this place is located. Our host, Althea, was very accommodating on our late check-in and made it easy for us. The building has ample laundry facilities, which was also key for us so we could pack light for an extended trip. Security is great as well, as the elevators are keyed.
Jun 27, 2019Great stay at Alethea's place for 2 nights. Easy access off main road (we easily found on the dark), great parking, good instructions for access to apartment and great location. Very well equipped and much appreciated little extras, such as water, sun cream (if needed) , maps and advice on what to do/see and some wine. We were there for early church on a Sunday...bells were ringing but only for 30 seconds, not a problem at all. Our main reason for visiting Kona was to experience the manta night dive...well worth it, what a wonderful trip we had.
Jun 27, 2019Alethea's condo is a great place to stay. Very comfortable and has a great view (church, coastline, farmer's market, sunsets) from the lanai. Lots of amenities - even a pair of binoculars hanging on the lanai for your use. Conveniently located to downtown Kona area so you can leave your car parked at the condo and walk around the town and along the beaches. It was very quiet while I was there - only heard the church bells on Sunday morning. Within easy driving distances north and south to historical and cultural places as well as beautiful beaches. It was easy to find and check in. Alethea kept in touch with text messages. Loved the location and my stay. Would definitely stay again.
Jun 27, 2019Everything at Alethea's place was as pictured. The location is extremely convenient to the main dining and shopping area in Kona, so we walked to most places. The cute space is conveniently stocked with essentials and clean and neat and communication with Alethea made the trip easy to navigate! I would recommend her place for a stay in Kona.

It was perfectly clean, nicely decorated, had every amenity we could ever need for a few days stay, and the bed was super comfortable. Walking to town was easy and quick, and it was a huge plus that the farmers market was just a few steps away. I would highly recommend staying here!

Jun 27, 2019If we ever return to Kona, we would want to stay at Alethea’s delightful condo. Watching the sun set into the ocean from her 6th floor porch was amazing in itself. Her palm tree motif contributed to our feeling of being in Hawaii. Virtually everything one would do in Kona is walkable (a major plus for us) from her location. Two of our major travel concerns is “quality” of the bed and shower ... both exceeded our expectations! We departed Alethea’s condo rested and clean!

Jun 27, 2019Alethea's Place made our trip to Hawaii that much more enjoyable. It was the perfect size for my husband and myself and you can't get a better location to the shops and restaurants. The kitchen island was super convenient for us with setting up our underwater photography gear. Having an assigned parking space was so nice... you didn't have to ever worry about parking. Would definitely stay here again on another trip!

Jun 27, 2019Spending the week at Alethea's place worked out perfectly. If you are a Scuba Diver, her condo is within walking distance of Jack's Diving Locker. If you are Catholic, the view from her balcony is St. Michaels Church which has a Saturday evening Mass & several Sunday morning Mass options. The church, lots of great shopping, restaurants and the beach are all within a short walk from the condo. If traveling solo Alethea's place is in a safe neighborhood & the building elevator requires a key to go up to her condo. Parking is easy with an assigned parking space. The condo was clean, organized & cutely decorated with a Tropical Palm Tree motif. Ocean view from the balcony & master bedroom was beautiful! I highly recommend Alethea's place if you are staying in Kona.

Jun 27, 2019This condo has a great view of bay/sunsets and just a block from Allie Drive where the action is. We went to Fishstoppers for lunch 3 days in a row. Furnishings are tired. The sink-clogged but Alathea came over withrepairman and got it fixed the same day. Condo bldg has nice laundry, friendly neighbors.

We were able to just walk down Ali'i Drive each morning to grab breakfast before it got crowded and do the same at night to watch the sunset. Jun 27, 2019This very stylishly-appointed condo is right behind St. Mark's Church in Kailua-Kona. Alethea is a great host, located nearby & very willing to be of assistance. Heavy traffic appears to be standard in the Kona area, but a surprising amount of road noise can be heard from 6 stories up, which was the only drawback in my experience. However, for those of us who only return to our AirBnB after a day spent outdoors, it was not much of an issue.

The location was ideal- close to so many great restaurants, a farmers market, walking distance from a small beach and historical sites, and more. We even walked to Kona Brewing. The bed was so comfy and we had everything we needed. The complex was quiet and felt safe. We would definitely stay there again!

Jun 27, 2019Very central location in walking distance to many cute shops, galleries and restaurants. We loved sipping coffee out on the lanai and watching the ships out on the ocean. Our host Alethea was very responsive. This apartment was great for a couple. The sleeping area is separated from the rest of the apartment by a sliding screen, so if your partner is a light sleeper you’d have to be quiet when you get up. It wasn’t a problem for us. This place was a good value and the location was a great home base for our Hawaiian adventures!
Jun 27, 2019If you want to be in town, with a view, yet be in a quiet space, this is the place for you. The kitchen had everything and more than we needed. The bed was very comfortable and included a body pillow (bonus for me). The condo was stocked with beach gear, and there were binocular on the lanai for whale watching which was a wonderful touch. A dedicated parking spot means no parking nightmares in a crowded Kona. This airbnb did not disappoint.
Jun 27, 2019We loved staying at Alethea's place and didn't want to leave! It is in a perfect location to walk to Kona's farmers market and tourist type shops, as well as a few nice restaurants. Close driving distance to amazing snorkel spots. Very spacious and airy with a cross breeze through the open windows. We loved having breakfast on the lanai and watching the dolphins in the bay! Didn't need too much communication during our stay, however she was lovely enough to leave some brochures open to pages of activities we mentioned before we arrived. Super comfy bed, too! We would definitely stay here again! Mahalo!

We enjoyed walking down to Evolution Bakery and Basik Acai every morning. Parking is a breeze since there is an assigned spot. Large kitchen for cooking and eating. Loved the view from the deck with comfy chairs to watch the sunset and sunrise. We got good sleep on the bed. The layout of the place was perfect. Very responsive host. We'd stay here again!
Jun 27, 2019We had a quick two night stay but the unit offered everything we needed! Check-in instructions were very clear easy to understand! Unit is located in the heart of Kona and is walking distance to many shops, including the farmers market. Two restaurants we have been back to many times and would recommend are: Huggos and On the Rocks - great atmosphere, kid friendly, great service and great food. Unit was very clean and cared for, Alethea obviously cares about her guests and their experience at her place. The lanai has a great view and it was very nice have our morning coffee or evening drink overlooking the ocean. Would definitely recommend this place.
Jun 27, 2019This airbnb was fantastic during our stay in Kona. It is very close to Ali'i drive (where there are a lot of restaurants, a market, and a few shops), and was fantastic comfort wise. The free parking spot was also extremely helpful as Ali'i drive can get quite busy with the cars!. Alethea provided very clear instructions for checking in, and provided a binder which provided great tips on eats! Her airbnb also comes with a kitchen, so you may cook if you prefer that over heading to the restaurants. The Lanai was also a great touch as we were able to take in the view, and at times see the dolphins with the binoculars she provided :). Would definitely stay here again!

We were very comfortable there for the last leg of our honeymoon... it is within walking distance of Kona, and we could watch the sunset from our lanai... it was absolutely perfect, and just what we were looking for... i would highly recommmend it! We also used Alethea’s recommendations in a book she had put together of local restaurant recommendations... we already want to go back!

We were able to walk down to all the shops and restruants in town, though we did have to get in the car to get to some of the best beaches and snorkel spots. The home was clean and well maintained and having access to a kitchen was a huge bonus for us. The view was also great overlooking a church and the ocean. Very highly recommend!

View of the ocean from the balcony so you can sit and enjoy the sunset, etc. She provides all the essentials and a few extra which were a nice touch. We appreciated the assigned parking spot for our rental. Alethea provides brochures with area info and menus for nearby restaurants to help you decide what to do and where to go to enjoy your stay. Would recommend!
Jun 27, 2019This rental is very comfortable and has plenty of space. The wall mounted AC is able to cool the whole unit. The bed is very comfortable and there is plenty of dresser space. The full size fridge and freezer including icemaker was a very big plus for us. The building has a very nice laundry room, if you should need it. There are clean washers and dryers, tables for folding, books and magazines to read in chairs while you wait. Althea provided plenty of toiletries, paper towels, bottled water and dishwasher tablets. Jun 27, 2019This place is the perfect Airbnb experience. The thoughtful host makes available pretty much everything you might need. The condo is located right in the heart of Kailua-Kona, so it's an easy walk to the "King Kam" hotel and the restaurants and shops around there, as well as the large commercial hub to the south along the water. We were in the area to Scuba dive; it's a drive of less than 15 minutes to the harbor. You have a guaranteed parking spot. There was a big parade in town during our stay, and to get to the main street you just walk out of your condo, take the elevator, walk a bit, turn left, walk a short city block past the farmer's market, and then you're on the main street. If you happen to be some idiot who loses the room key in the harbor - don't ask - the owner has a plan for that and we were back in the unit in no time. The kitchen is very functional, and other reviews sum up the rest, good Wi-Fi, AC, icemaker, etc. In summary, this place is as good as it gets.

Jun 27, 2019Alethea's place was wonderful to stay in! The location is fantastic--everything in Kona is walkable--and the view is great as well! Everything was squeaky clean (zero bugs as well, which is notoriously hard to do on a tropical island!), and there was a lot of space for our 11-month old to play, as well as a great kitchen for us to make breakfast and lunch. Alethea was also very responsive, answering all our questions quickly and providing helpful recommendations at every turn. We loved our stay, and hope to stay again on our next trip to the Big Island!

Parking and Check-In were super easy, the location can't be beat, and waking up to beautiful natural light and a perfect ocean view every morning was just magical. There's so much great food, just walking distance away. The best part was that she had snorkeling gear, a cooler, and beach towels, which was perfect for our beach day at Hapuna Beach :). Alethea was also very quick to respond, the few times I had a question. Thanks Alethea! <3

With all you need to cook or prepare breakfast; more than I've seen in other places we stayed at. Don't be turned off by the appearance of the building (a concrete condo building), the unit itself is very nice, comfortable and quiet. Would definitely return if we came back to Kona.

Jun 27, 2019This condo is in a great location, it's only a very short walk to Alii dr, which is the main street on the waterfront. Lots of choice of restaurants, shops and cafes are only 5-10 min walk. Our flight departed late at night on our last day and Alethea was very accommodating in letting us stay well past the required checkout time. We appreciated this very much as it gave us a chance to enjoy our last day to the fullest!

It was clean, comfortable, and has everything you need including beach chairs, towels, even an umbrella to borrow. We were very happy to enjoy Kona without having to drive there!
Jun 27, 2019Just behind the farmers' market and next to the gas station. The condo is big and super cosy. The only downside is the hot water from shower is kinda small. There's a great shave ice "One Aloha" just nearby. We had wonderful vegan food at Herbivore.
