This is a NON SMOKING house/property. PETS are not permitted in rental units under any conditions. Please remove your shoes before entering house, no shoes inside the house. (this is island style) their is shoe rack directly outside house. 1. The backyard is off limits and is not included in the listing, (it has been locked off) this is for libilty reason and because it is too close too next door neighbors house. 2. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ON THE PROPERTY. NO DRUG USE. 3 No Pets. 4. We Do Not Want Partiers. If you want to Party all night and come back in the house making noise all hours of the night or planning to bring the Party to the House: This is NOT the place for you. 5. Please Clean Up After Yourself: If trash cans are full inside please take outside and place beside rock wall, their are extra plastic bags in the drawers as well. 6, Please Call if there is a Problem and will fix it although please do not disturb after 11PM Unless it is an Emergency Situation.

The accommodation was terrific on the whole. In particular it was very spacious, clean and relaxing. It had all the modern conveniences accept for air con which was not missed as there were fans in every room and a nice breeze always flowing though the house. Teru was very helpful as was her son who greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the place. The location of the house is close to Waikiki but away from the hustle and in a quiet location with beautiful views of Diamond Head. I would be keen to stay here again.
Jun 27, 2019We were very happy with our stay at Kaiser and Teru's place. The home was comfortable, spacious, and well kept. Kaiser was very responsive both before and during our stay to any questions, needs, and requests we had. The house is on a hill, with nice views of Diamond Head and the ocean beyond. Internet, flat screen TV with satellite-cable, spacious kitchen and living room area, and a great outdoor deck with gas grill and furniture for dining, lounging, and overall relaxation while enjoying the light breeze and scenic views. The Kaimuki neighborhood at the base of the hill has a nice array of dining options, and anything else you'd need is a quick drive away. Would definitely book here again.

Jun 27, 2019Kaiser greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour. We were a group of 6 adults and the house suited us very well with all the amenities that we needed. Kaiser quickly responded to any questions that we had. We really enjoyed having drinks and meals on the patio with a fantastic view. This is a very quiet neighborhood and I slept better than I've had in years. Thanks for a great time!
Jun 27, 2019Kaiser and Teru kept in touch with us in the months before our trip and this was reassuring. They were helpful with our arrival time and made us feel welcome. The home is clean, bright and spacious with amazing views. We enjoyed the deck and did some cooking in the well stocked kitchen. Each room had a ceiling fan so the temperature was comfortable. The location was perfect, close to shopping and touring by car. Thank you for a lovely vacation home.
Jun 27, 2019高台にある素敵なお家でした｡ 部屋も3部屋と多く､ﾏｽﾀｰﾍﾞｯﾄﾞﾙｰﾑにはﾄｲﾚ､洗面台もありました｡何より広めのﾊﾞﾙｺﾆｰが最大の魅力です｡BBQｸﾞﾘﾙもあり､自炊もしやすく最高の三日間でした｡ 難点としては､ﾜｲｷｷからは､20分ほど離れているので､ﾚﾝﾀｶｰがないとかなり不便かなと｡ よりﾛｰｶﾙらしいｽﾃｲができるのが魅力です｡

Jun 27, 2019We had a nice stay at Kaiser and Teru's house. The house was big enough for the 5 of us and the beds were comfortable. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the lanai where the view of the Diamond Head is beautiful. The house is conveniently located in a quiet area and it is easy to visit all of Oahu if you have a car.
Jun 27, 2019The things we loved: The house is in a quiet residential neighborhood, with a nice two-car carport, a shaded porch/deck that has great views of Diamond Head and the ocean, and a kitchen with new countertops, modern appliances, and ample space for meal preparation. The host was responsive to our calls and quick to show up, if we needed something. The location is close to Kahala mall and has good access to areas near Diamond Head, plus quick access to the freeway. The living room is large with nice couches, and we enjoyed the airy, bright space it had. There is a new large-screen TV and good wifi access. Things we would like to see improved: 1) The images portrayed on the website show more lamps and furniture than were present in the rooms. Now there are only ceiling lights associated with the fans, and this limits lighting in the rooms. We could not read in our bedrooms. 2) There is no indoor table for meals, and there appeared to be one on the website photos. We did eat some meals on the outdoor lanai (deck), but we had hoped for a dining area indoors, as pictured on the website. 3) There are two bedrooms with sliding doors that lack screens. Therefore. those bedrooms cannot have the sliders left open for airflow without risking having bugs fly into the house. Without cross-ventilation, the rooms can be hot and stuffy, even with the ceiling fans. 4) The house is old, and we noticed ants and cockroaches in the front room, kitchen and master bath.
Jun 27, 2019Away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but a close drive to them, i do believe that this was possibly the best air bnb that I could have booked for my parents, grandparents, brother and sister-in-law! My family was in town for 5 nights for my wedding and this, being their first time in Hawaii, I wanted to make them as comfortable as possible. The house had the perfect amount of space for my 6 guests with (possibly the best part of the house) a wrap around balcony overlooking Diamond Head and the ocean. The location of the house is in the hills, which makes it very peaceful and my family spent every night grilling and sitting on the balcony together listening to the birds and nature all around. I'm pretty sure that at least one person slept outside on this great balcony each night! The house was impeccably clean and had well kept furniture and appliances. To keep costs low, my family cooked as much as possible at the house and they found everything they needed in the kitchen. The house does not have AC but it was not needed, even during a particularly hot and humid week. The wind blew through the house nicely and there were also plenty of ceiling fans to circulate air. Kaiser, our host, was very gracious and made himself available to contact during our stay but since my family was not in need of anything, we did not have to contact him. He greeted us the day we arrived, showed us around and said goodbye on the departure day. This house is great for families who want some R&R and/or to keep costs low by cooking at home. I will certainly be recommending this air bnb to anyone who has a larger group coming to town and do hope that my family can stay here again. It truly was paradise! Mahalo to Kaiser for sharing his home and making it a comfortable and memorable experience for my beloved family!
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed staying here. The lanai was beautiful (views of both the ocean and Diamond Head) and the time I spent out there was one of the high points of my trip. At first I didn't like the rather steep roads up to the house, but we all realized that being so high meant that it was cool at night--we visited relatives at a beachside rental house and it was too hot with no breeze. Although it was 90 degrees during the day, it was cool at night with lovely breezes. There are ceiling fans in all the rooms and that keeps everything cool. Everything was very clean, not a bug in sight (although I expect to see bugs in Hawaii, no matter how clean the house is). There were six of us so we were worried about having one shower (there are two bathrooms but one shower), but it turned out not to be an issue at all. Kaiser met us when we checked in and showed us around. The location is great because you are 10 minutes from Kahala Mall and Whole Foods, 15 minutes away from Ala Moana and Waikiki, and 15 minutes from the airport.
Jun 27, 2019Kaiser was really wonderful and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The apartment is in a quite neighborhood on the mountain, definitely a drive away from tourist attractions, which is a big plus for us. There were plenty of room for four of us. Although the house looks dated from outside, the kitchen is completely new and every single appliance and furniture works (fridge, oven, grill, garbage disposal, fans, shower, etc), which is quite rare for air b&b. There was no AC but a lot of fans, which was quite enough. The rarest of them all: THERE WAS NO BUGS in this house, even flies were rare! I am terrified of bugs and I was so surprised and happy to find out that somehow the apartment is completely immune to any bugs. We stayed in 3 houses in Hawaii, bugs were a big problem in the other 2. Thank you Kaiser!

Jun 27, 2019Kaiser`s place is great! he welcomed us in the beginning and gave us an overview. everything on the pictures and the previous reviews are true. he was very accommodating and when we needed a few household items mid week he responded right away and provided them within 15 mins otherwise we have all the privacy and independence to the beautiful home. it was a bit dusty at the start however understandable as he is renovating during empty periods. place has no air con however has good breeze and air flow. love the view! would most definitely stay here again!

Jun 27, 2019The place is great, especially with a view of the diamond head. You can see the sunrise and sunset from the house. The grocery stores are within 10 minute drive. Kaiser is very helpful, and I will definitely recommend his apartment.

Jun 27, 2019Our family stayed at Kaiser's for two weeks. The house is very spacious, cool, and comfortable. The neighborhood is scenic and residential, perfect for sitting out in the evening or long walks. The location could not be more convenient--minutes to Kapahulu (and all the good food :-)), close to Pali for trips to Kailua, and, of course, right above Kaimuki. We would definitely stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019Kaiser & Teru's place was great! It was clean and had all the amenities we needed (even some extra beach items). The location gave us easy access to the highway, shopping and restaurants. Kaiser & Teru were gracious hosts and we would stay in their place again!

Jun 27, 2019This place is amazing! The view from the lanai is incredible, the unit was clean, quiet and very private. If you are looking to stay in a local neighbourhood, away from the more touristy areas, but within a few minutes drive of the city, then this is the place for you.

Jun 27, 2019The location of Kaiser & Teru's place was closeby to most places we wanted to go. The bedrooms and shower was spacious. Our host, Kaiser, was very friendly and was very responsive to messages. He was kind enough to walk us through the apartment/house and gave us Hawaiian chocolate.

Jun 27, 2019If You want to have the best balcony view in Honolulu, it is here! You will also find four big bedrooms and plenty of room everywhere. Driving time to Waikiki is around 15 minutes. We really enjoyed our time here and communication with Kaiser & Teru was easy.
Jun 27, 2019Wow! What a wonderful house in the most perfect location. Balcony views are endless, house is close to everything you need (10-15mins to beach, shops, restaurants. Uber averaged around $12 per journey one way) and also high enough up the mountain for pure tranquility. Highly recommend! Chris
Jun 27, 2019Kaiser and Teru were very gracious hosts. Our flight was slightly delayed and we arrived very late at night. Kaiser was more than willing to meet with us at a late time to check us in and go over the basics of the house. The house itself is great. Plenty of room for larger groups. There are two bathrooms inside the main portion of the house, only one of them has a shower. There is a third bathroom in the adjacent apartment style room which also has a shower. The lanai was amazing and was a great place to have our morning coffee or watch a sunset. Overall a great experience. We would definitely stay again.
