I have a spacious 1 BR Apartment, with a full Living Room, Kitchen and Bathroom. On the Upper West Side of Harlem, near A,B,C,D & 1 trains. This has been my home for a number of years, I would love to share it with responsible guests. There is a full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, pots/pans and utensils for all of your cooking needs. There is closet and drawer space for clothes You will have the Whole apartment to yourself. There is a Queen-sized bed in the bedroom for 2 people and a Futon in the living room for a 3rd person (if needed) Like much of New York, my neighborhood is quite diverse and safe. You will find a number of inexpensive and well-established shops and grocery stores, as well as a number of "newer"-styled restaurants and eateries. As stated before, I am near the A,B,C,D & 1 trains - A HUGE PLUS for getting to Midtown quickly!
Neighborhood Overview
Like much of New York, my neighborhood is quite diverse and safe. You will find a number of inexpensive and well-established shops and grocery stores, as well as a number of "newer"-styled restaurants and eateries.

Stephen was a very solicitous and accomodating host. He was proactive about communication and made sure I felt at home before heading out. A great, cozy, clean space one block away from local eateries and laundry. I would definitely recommend staying!
Jun 27, 2019The apartment was beautiful. The size of the apartment is size as well. The location is awesome if you plan on cooking or relaxing inside. Neighborhood was nice and quiet, the host was awesome and cool and very helpful.
Jun 27, 2019Loved my experience. Stephen was always reachable. I checked in with him and he gave me a tour and answered any questions I had. He recommended places to eat. His place was neat, clean and close to transportation. I would definitely recommend it to others and would stay here again myself .

Jun 27, 2019Stephen's apartment was very clean, comfortable, and cozy, not to mentioned stocked with plenty of great books! It's within walking distance to the subway. My boyfriend and I stayed for one night and would definitely stay again.
Jun 27, 2019For around 70 dollars... it's just okay. I feel like I could have got more for my money, but it was because the building is old and smells very strong of cat urine and dead mice. The apartment itself WAS clean and true to description, but the smell was so strong, it just makes you feel dirty. Also, there is a bit of a security issue. The front doors to the building don't lock and anyone can just walk in off the street. Then again, this is NYC, it's more common than not for old buildings have these issues because they are neglected by the owners. I lived in Harlem for 5 years and definitely experienced that before.

Jun 27, 2019Stephen was a great host! He checked in with us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. His place is a close walk to the subway. We also never felt unsafe wandering around the neighborhood. The apartment is on the fourth floor, so if you have difficulties with stairs it's something to keep in mind. Overall our stay was fantastic! Thanks Stephen!
