Near the Metro station "Marquês" and "Trindade". The apartment is cozy , peaceful , with minimalist decor and very clean. 5 minutes walking you are in downtown. The neighborhood is close to the center but far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city. This was a typical neighborhood populated by workers of Porto that served in the hat and weaving factory. Now the factory has been transformed into an artistic foundation, the Fábrica Social - Fundação Escultor José Rodrigues (he is the author of the Ribeira cube sculpture)] that usually hosts exhibitions, laboratories and workshops. Neighborhood Overview
The neighborhood is close to the center but far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city. This was a typical neighborhood populated by workers of Porto that served in the hat and weaving factory. Now the factory has been transformed into an artistic foundation, the Fábrica Social - Fundação Escultor José Rodrigues (he is the author of the Ribeira cube sculpture)] that usually hosts exhibitions, laboratories and workshops. At the back of the Fábrica remains one of the most curious places of Porto ... and one of my favorites! A series of 'ruin' houses that this foundation - instead of demolishing them - gave an original approach to it when in 2010 it hosted the 'Visual Street Performance' event. This event brought together graffiters from all over the country and also from abroad to paint street art Live. Transit
to arrive I suggest Marquês metro station, because it is always easier to go down. Following the same logic, to get from home to the metro it is better to get in at the Trindade station because, again, it’s a way down :) and there is an elevator straight to Trindade station at travessa Alferes Malheiro.

Jun 27, 2019Ana was a warm, caring hostess. She met us at check-in doing last minute clean up. She showed us the apartment and explained where we should park our car. The apartment is as described and has two beds and a kitchen, sitting room and bathroom. The accommodation is minimalist as described. If you have a car, be aware that parking is not easy. There is parking out front but it is a no parking zone and you risk being ticketed. Parking in Porto is scarce overall.
Jun 27, 2019De ontvangst was hartelijk; we kregen op de valreep informatie over buslijnen etc. Het appartement ligt op de derde en bovenste verdieping; het lijkt recent opgeknapt en in gebruik genomen. Het is licht en fris; het was schoon, ook gehorig; de tweede verdieping werd verbouwd waardoor we 's morgens gewekt werden door het geluid van boren etc. Bij slecht weer is het wat kil binnen vanwege de betonnen vloer. Het is rustig gelegen in een hofje; voor winkeltjes of ontbijtplekken of metro even 10 minuutjes lopen. Tip: leg een map neer met een folders van bezienswaardigheden en een gastenboek waar gasten tips voor volgende gasten kunnen zetten voor eethuisjes, barretjes, theater, musea en ook voor wandel- en fiets trips.

Jun 27, 2019We had an amazing time in Porto and especially at Ana's flat! It is really beautiful, very very clean and cozy. It is even nicer than the pictures show! Definitely a recommendable place to stay when you plan a trip to Porto. Plus, Ana is such a nice person, she was so friendly when we arrived and gave us great tips for our time in Porto. Everything went very uncomplicated both at our arrival and our check-out. The flat is really close to the centre and down town area, really good located. All in all a great flat and amazing place for airbnb plans!

Jun 27, 2019Todo estuvo increíble, el barrio muy tranquilo fácil de llegar caminando al centro en unos 15 minutos. Ana muy amable, nos hizo sentir en casa, el lugar esta genial, limpio, romántico y muy acogedor. Si van a Porto, sin duda consideren este lugar, lo disfrutaran mucho!!!

Su apartamento se ajusta al 100% a lo que se aprecia en las fotos, es muy comodo, moderno y muy bien situado ya que en apenas 10 minutos caminando estas en pleno centro. Una alternativa muy recomendable para una estancia en Oporto.
Jun 27, 2019El apartamento es tan bonito como aparece en la foto, aunque el edificio sea un poco antiguo. El barrio está bien ubicado, muy cerca del centro. No pudimos conocer a Ana y fue una amiga suya quien se encargó de recibirnos. Era muy agradable y nos dio las indicaciones que necesitábamos sobre dónde aparcar, cómo llegar al centro, qué platos típicos debíamos pedir. La experiencia ha sido muy agradable.
Jun 27, 2019Todo Perfecto!!! El apartamento es precioso y no está lejos del centro, Ana es encantadora.... Nos ha encantado y repetiríamos sin dudar. El único aspecto mejorable es que aunque el apartamento es cálido, hemos pasado un poco de frío con los dos únicos calentadores que proporciona para un dia de invierno.
Jun 27, 2019Appartamento perfetto,romantico, pulito, spazioso e a 200 mt dalla fermata della metro Marques, buon punto di partenza per visitare la città. Ana è disponibile e inoltre ci ha lasciato tutta la libertà possibile. Noi siamo stati sfortunati con il meteo, in quanto ha piovutoi tutti i giorni, ma se dovessi tornare a Porto prenoterei sicuramente di nuovo questo appartamento.

Jun 27, 2019El apartamento era muy bonito, igual que en las fotos del anuncio, no nos quejamos de nada. Todo estaba limpio y ordenado. El barrio estaba muy bien situado, cerca de dos estaciones de metro desde las que se podía llegar a cualquier parte. No pudimos conocer personalmente a Ana, pero si a su amiga que era muy simpática y nos explicó todo. En general diríamos que vale la pena.

Jun 27, 2019L'appartement était très sympa, les photos ne sont pas trompeuses ! A une dizaine de minutes du centre ville, pratique pour visiter. Ana est arrangeante pour l'organisation du séjour, c'est très appréciable. Un seul petit bémol, il fait un peu froid dans l'appartement, mais Ana fournit de nombreuses couvertures/plaids, et des chauffages d'appoint bienvenus ! Merci Ana pour ce séjour !
Jun 27, 2019L'appartement est vraiment propre, agréable et comme sur les photos, tout est très bien. Il est près de tout, en 10 min on est au centre et 20 min au bord du Douro, parfait. Ana est facilement joignable et répond rapidement aux mails, elle est également très arrangeante par rapport à notre arrivée et notre départ. Très bonne expérience! Merci beaucoup.
Jun 27, 2019Ana wasnt there to receive us but her sister was there instead to welcome us. The sister was friendly and there was a fruit basket with a bottle of port prepared for us too (the fruits made a few good healthy snacks during our stay there!) Location of the apt is actually in between marques station & trindade station but the route to the apt from marques stn is more straightforward and less hilly thgh i feel the route to trindade station is abit shorter. It was raining during my first day there so it was freezing cold throughout that day. Ana has prepared a warmer in the main living area and also the room on the first floor. The loft was freezing as a result and my friends had to move up one of the warmers to keep themselves warm thru the nite up on the loft bed. It will be good if there is also a warmer at the loft area & also the toilet (it was still cold to take a shower at nite thgh there is hot water as there was no heater in the toilet). But other than that the rest is good! Clean towels with basic toiletries provided. Ana was also prompt and helpful to ans any of my enquires during my stay there :)

Jun 27, 2019Het was een super rustige buurt, plm 10 min lopen naar metro en 15 min lopen naar centrum. Heel schoon. Twee 2-persoonsbedden, voor lange Nederlanders beetje krap. Goede communicatie met verhuurder! Trap naar open zolder voor 60-plussers beetje griezelig vanwege ontbreken van leuning. Twee elektrische kacheltjes, heel prettig!

La atención de la dueña, la situación del apartamento así como las prestaciones del mismo han cubierto por completo nuestras necesidades y cumplido nuestras expectativas. El apartamento es acogedor, cómodo y agradable, y la ciudad de Oporto nos ha ofrecido su mejor cara. Getting the keys without problems and the informations given about Lisbon were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and could recommend it without doubt!

Flat is open and clean- very comfy bed and good shower. The flat is within 15 min walk of the buzz of central Porto. Great for a weekend away exploring.
Jun 27, 2019We as a family of four people (2kids) had a good stay at this apartment. The apartment was big enough to house 4 and comfortable. The small stairs to the third floor makes it a bit difficult to come up when traveling with heavy and clunky suitcases. Finding a supermarket or bakery nearby is hard and walking with kids to the center can be a bit far, but luckily we had a rental car. We never met Ana but we could always reach her online and we were met by a key holder to let us in.
Jun 27, 2019Geweldig appartement in een rustige buurt. Mooie inrichting en ruim genoeg voor ons tweeën. Het is een stukje lopen naar het historische centrum, maar door de straten van Porto is dat geen straf. Het appartement voldeed aan alle verwachtingen. Erg fijn dat alle voorzieningen aanwezig waren. We hebben Ana zelf niet ontmoet maar de communicatie verliep goed. We kregen de sleutel van een hele aardige buurvrouw die geen Engels sprak, maar ons wel meteen welkom liet voelen. Een aanrader om hier te verblijven tijdens je verblijf in Porto!
Jun 27, 2019El apartemento de Ana es muy bonito y acogedor. Estuve muy contenta alli con mis padres. El unico bemol es que hace un poco de frio, pero hay que decir que nos tocaron dias lluviosos. La acogida fue muy agradable. Su amiga Fernanda nos acogio muy bien y respondio a todas las preguntas de mis padres, que eran bastantesè!!! Recomendamos es te lugar sin ningun problema.

Jun 27, 2019Ana ne nous a pas reçu, une charmante dame était là, a fait des efforts pour nous parler en Français. Environnement : Le chien du voisin aboie, Ana y est pour rien.. un peu embêtant !! L'appartement est très agréable et très propre. Un peu loin du quartier Ribeira (Douro), il faut compter 25 mn pour y aller. Nous sommes des randonneurs ... nous avions de bonnes chaussures .. Dommage c'était un appartement av 2 chambres, nous étions 2 amis il a fallu partager le lit (sinon un supplément 80-120euros était demandé). L'ami ronflait beaucoup..!.!.j'ai mis mes boules quiès Cathy de Rennes (Bretagne)

Jun 27, 2019The apartement is situated in a calm area but not thar far away from several metro stations. The apartement itself is fine to stay in for several days during a city trip. Everything is there what you need althouhg we did not ate or prepared any meals accept coffee. The only thing we missed were kitchen towels but were to lazy to ask for them.
Jun 27, 2019We got there late by an hour. Ana had our keys prepared and someone ready to guide us to getting in and comfortable. She gave us suggestions, kept in contact with us, and called our taxi promptly for the following morning. My girlfriend even forgot her Fitbit and she sent it to us, free of charge. Slightly uptown from the river, but truly is in a prime location to experience Porto. I would recommend Ana's place, especially for couples, for a few nights in Porto.

Jun 27, 2019Nous avons 3 nuits dans l'appartement d'Anna. Super cute appartement, propre et bien situé sur une rue très tranquille. Environ 15 minutes de marche du centro. Par contre, nous aurions apprécié savoir à l'avance qu'il y avait un coût de 5 euros pour l'utilisation des draps du 2ème lit. Nous recommandons cet appartement! Merci Anna

Jun 27, 2019We had a fantastic stay in Ana's apartment. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for the week we spent there. It is in a good location for walking into the centre of Porto, and has a few local shops around the corner to pick up groceries. Although we never met, Ana was a great host and always responded quickly to messages.

We werden heel hartelijk verwelkomd en kregen meteen uitgebreid informatie over alle leuke plekken, gezellige restaurantjes, waar we fietsen konden huren enz. Alles in de loft was netjes en in orde. Jun 27, 2019Ana's flat is a little gem in the heart of Porto. 5-10 minute max from the centre, it's a perfect base to discover Porto and to feel part of Porto even if it's just for a few days. The flat is lovely, very well decorated. I highly recommend it whether it's for a first time or returning back to Porto. Ana was a great host.
Jun 27, 2019Hi! Must say that the house is beautiful and very comfy. The kids were super happy about sleeping in the atic's bed!!During the days we stayed in Oporto the weather was really hot, so Ana kindly offered us a fan, because the house was also very hot. The neighbourhood where the house is placed made us feel a little bit insecure late at night when we came from the closest metro station, but at the same time it is a place where you can leave your car parked at the door for free. Ana kindly answers the same day if you have any questions. Just say that missed an air conditioning and a coffee maker ;).

Jun 27, 2019Notre séjour à Porto s'est très bien passé. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillies par Philippe, un ami d'Ana. Il nous a présenté les lieux incontournables de la ville et nous a donné de nombreuses adresses. L'appartement était très fidèle aux photos, propre, moderne, plutôt bien situé par rapport au centre ville. Nous recommandons cet appartement pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis ! Le seul petit bémol est la chaleur car la chambre en mezzanine est sous les combles. Il faut noter qu'il fait très chaud à Porto en août ! Philippe et Ana ont toujours été joignables, que ce soit avant ou pendant le voyage.
Jun 27, 2019Il quartiere non è vicinissimo alla zona centrale pur avendo la metropolitana a circa 10 min a piedi. E' molto tranquillo, ma non ha attrattive. L'appartamento è molto carino, pulito, comodo, luminoso e fresco. L'aria condizionata non è effettivamente necessaria. La ragazza che ci ha accolto (italiana) è stata molto gentile e disponibile nell' indicarci tutti i luoghi di interesse della città. Consigliato!
Jun 27, 2019El piso tiene muy buenas vistas. Está en una zona tranquila, a 10 min andando de Bolhao. Tiene parking a 2,5 €/dia en Marques. Mención especial a Felipe, que nos atendió maravillosamente.
Jun 27, 2019Les + : appartement très agréable, lumineux style minimaliste, vaste, neuf et propre. Les - : voisinage extrêmement bruyant à l'extérieur de l'immeuble comme à l'intérieur. Je précise que nous avons laissé les fenêtres ouvertes en permanence mais qu'il y a des doubles vitrages. Literie trampoline à revoir. Chambre sur mezzanine impraticable à cause de l'échelle trop raide. Centre ville un peu loin si on n'aime pas marcher.

Jun 27, 2019Ana was very accommodating and we had someone great us on arrival. Also Ana took some time to find out about surfing, football games nearby and other useful information. We loved the place and it was a great place to be based from. It's about 15/20 minute walk from the centre but close enough to make the most of the city. The mezzanine and room are great and it's plenty of space for you. Had a great stay in Porto and this apartment was a big part of that.

The flat is conveniently located to all the sights and sounds and is safe. We would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to any of our friends if they decide to visit Porto. Love it!

La atención que recibimos es fabulosa porque estuvieron a la hora que dijimos y nos informaron de todas las cosas que podíamos hacer allí. Es la segunda vez que voy a está casa y la experiencia no puede ser mejor.

Jun 27, 2019Very unique and fun space. Walkable to the city center while still being quiet and residential. The hosts provided lots of recommendations for off the beaten path restaurants and things to do. Because it was a loft with cement floors it was chilly in November but I can imagine a great place to stay in warmer seasons. The host provided extra blankets when we requested them.

Solo echamos de menos una televisión en algún momento, pero está totalmente equipado con lo básico para pasar unos días muy cómodo. Es un barrio muy tranquilo, y por las noches muy silencioso. Solo lleva unos 15 minutos andando hasta el centro de la ciudad. Ana no estaba en la ciudad esos días pero Philippe nos dio una gran bienvenida, fue muy amable y nos mostró como movernos por la ciudad de la forma más cómoda y económica!
Jul 27, 2019Cosy and romantic are not words I would use for Ana's loft apartment. Freezing and bleak are nearer the mark. It was an endurance task I never want to experience ever again! Granted we visited on NYE which is probably the one of coldest times in Porto, but I never thought I would be renting an apartment that had insufficient heating on Air B&B ( this was our first time ) Myself and the other guests had to wear 4 layers of clothing at times. I didn't use the shower as it was so cold in the bathroom it would have been unbearable. There were 2 electric heaters that had little effect as the apartment is open plan with high ceilings and has stone floor. We had to be resourceful and turned the oven on and opened to door in the hope of some extra heating! Our plan was to cook dinner as the restaurants were very busy, but we really couldnt stay in the place to do so. We called Ana on NYE and she said she would drop off an extra heater and blankets 'tomorrow'. We waited until midday the next day but nobody came. When we returned to the apartment in the evening & still no word on the heater etc. My husband put oven and the hob for extra heat and this must have tripped the electrics, so there we were freezing, sat in the dark in a hill in Porto...Happy 2017 ! We called Ana and her husband arrived some what 'put out' as he was just about to sit down to his evening meal and then had to come out into the cold and fix the electrics!! We considered going to a hotel by the airport as we were leaving Porto at 7 the next morning but we just went to bed to try and get warm and we didn't want to spend anymore money. The worst thing for us was not being able to get warm for the whole 2 days. It was cold outside, 4-10 degrees but it was the same in the apartment. I am writing this honest review in the hope Ana does rectify this serious issue when renting out her place in the winter months.

Jun 27, 2019This place was exactly what you need for a fantastic value and comfortable stay in Porto. A bit of a walk uphill, but let's you walk off the amazing food! Very clean and easy time checking-in. Ana was great about giving us a bunch of tips of everything to do in Porto and more. Would definitely come back again.
Jun 27, 2019El piso de Ana es muy acogedor perfecto para una pareja. Fueron muy amables y atentas. El único problema fue q el apartamento se encuentra en una parte muy alta de la ciudad y el acceso a pie desde El Centro no es muy cómodo. En general hemos estado muy a gusto en el piso.

Como inconvenientes diría que las escaleras (teniendo en cuenta que es un tercer piso) son estrechas y, obviamente, el inmueble no dispone de ascensor, aunque esto es normal y yo no esperaba otra cosa, teniendo en cuenta que son inmuebles viejos, aunque están bien rehabilitados. La zona es tranquila y enseguida estás en la zona comercial de Rúa Santa Catarina.

Jun 27, 2019Anna's apartment is light and airy, it has a perfect location, you can walk from there to all city sights. Located conveniently between 2 metro stops. It was a joy to wake up there and return to at night. We felt very much at home! Obrigada Anna!

Jun 27, 2019Leuke loft op centrale plek net achter het centrum. Minuut of 5 lopen. Goed onderhouden, alles schoon en de bedden waren lekker met heerlijke dekbedden. Ook de douche was fijn, let wel je moet niet langer zijn dan 1,80 anders pas je niet in de douche. Ines heette ons welkom en heeft direct alle must-sees laten zien op de kaart die al klaarlag. Wat een uitstekende service en een perfect begin! Met haar tips hebben we veel gedaan.

Jun 27, 2019Great loft apartment with high ceilings. Makes it feel quite spacious. We had a lovely stay with surfing,dancing and taking in the city. One of the best things about the apartment was that it gave a feel that you where living in Porto and not just a tourist.The neighborhood and area created that feeling. Little rough around the edges but completely safe. Just one little thing would be to have some basic products available like: shampoo,soap,toothpaste etc... for all of us Easy Jet travelers who are not allowed any liquid on the plane:) Maybe a small Bialetti for some morning coffee.
Jun 27, 2019We stayed in the Romantic loft apartment with our golden retriever puppy. He is not a little dog but still felt very comfortable in the loft and spacious enough. It's was very convenient that the bed is upstairs and so your pup can't climb up to bother you at night. This was our choosing point for this apartment. The host was very helpful and responsive and left recommendations of where to go and what to do around. It was helpful. They have good and fast wifi (faster than we have at home so I was surprised haha) and the location is also quite good, about 10-15 mins walk from Porto Baixa , a lively region with bars and restaurants. The parking wasn't a problem, right in front of the house. Recommend for couples, families with pets too. As it's always a problem to find a nice and affordable place within the town center to stay with a dog.

It is very close walking distance to all of the tourist spots but in a quiet residential street so you can get a good nights sleep. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay here again!
Jun 27, 2019The stay at Dana's apartment was really nice! The apartment was very sweet, just as shown on the pictures! It is clean and very light. We loved the sleeping room on the second level. :) The check-in worked without problems and we could reach Ana any time. She has organized a shuttle for us from the airport and a friend of hers waited at the apt when we arrived, to give us the keys and show us around. The apartment is a 20 minutes walk away from the city center. Also, Ana has prepared her personal tips for Porto that she has printed out, which was very helpful for us. We had a great stay and would recommend the apartment anytime!
Jun 27, 2019Pros: large apartment (would easily fit 2 couples) in a good location near to the centre of Porto. Good amount of seating for eating and relaxing. Stylish apartment with a warehouse type vibe. Amazing local info from girl who checked me in. Cons: lack of lighting - barely any ceiling lights - we had to bring in lamp from bedroom to living area to get enough light. Minimal kitchen equipment (no kettle or toaster) but adequate for a short city break. Often an uphill walk home (we got a taxi back after dinner every night). But, overall, I would recommend!
Jul 27, 2019Nous avons apprécié l'espace aménagé et la mezzanine qui est conforme en tout point. Nous avons pu récupérer les clefs plus tôt ce qui était très appréciable pour notre bébé. Nous avons trouvé facilement des places devant la résidence, cependant le parking n'est pas une place privée.
Jun 27, 2019I and my girlfriend have had excellent experience at Ana’s apartment. The location might not be so close to the center yet it keeps us from the bustle so that we can rest well, and there are some restaurants offer fine local food with reasonable prices around. Indeed it’s not a long way from the tourist spots so we walked everywhere. We both quite like the design and furnishing, which makes us forget our own home.

Jun 27, 2019Overall: 5 star rating - Ana’s loft was as described on the Airbnb site and fully met our expectations. Stay: 7 nights with family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids 6&8). Pros: The apartement is clean. Metro stations and city centre are in comfortable walking distance. There are good quality bed sheets and towels. Great support by Sergio from Home Me during check in and when we needed some additional bed sheets. Basic set of kitchen utensils is available, good for breakfast. For dinner we enjoyed the nice places that Porto and Matosinhos have to offer. Cons: Not really. It can be a bit chilly on a cold evening but the available heaters and blankets made it comfortable. All in all a great base from which you can explore Porto. Surely recommended!
Jun 27, 2019The flat is really spacious and comfortable, and the facilities (e.g. kitchen) are good. It's in a location close to the centre, an easy walk with the metro also nearby. We were met by Sergio who was really friendly and helpful, and gave some good tips on places to go etc.

Perfect location as walking distance to the metro and everything you need plus all the central sights. Would go back!
Jun 27, 2019We had an enjoyable stay in the house:) Detailed and useful travelling tips are provided, we have understood more on the cultural side of Porto. Enquiries are answered timely and in details. The house is a bit far from metro and need to climb up some stairs before you get to the house. The check-in process went smooth. And the house is as beautiful and big as the pictures in Airbnb. They provided everything that we need, such as soap, towels, etc. However, the house is a bit dark. But still, we slept really well during the stay! I will surely recommend the place to you if you want to visit Porto:D

De douche-ruimte is iets klein, maar d rest van de Loft is erg ruim, gezellig en van alle gemakken voorzien.

Jun 27, 2019Apartamento reformado en un bloquecito muy del estilo de Oporto. Quizá sea más cómodo para estancias cortas, sobre todo si vas con peques, pero está bien y cerca del metro de Trindade. Estuvimos a gusto, aunque paramos poco por allí. Si vais en moto, el parking de Trindade es gratis para las motos. Es buena opción, porque la calle es empedrada y manejar la moto allí es complicado. La cama en lo alto, aunque a primera vista parece para gente sin vértigo, es un detalle curioso. Se duerme bien, no es una calle ruidosa.

Jun 27, 2019Nice, clean and and modern flat in central Porto, every highlight can be reached by foot. Great communication and fantastic city tour advices on our arrival day. But: very clairaudient flat, neighbour coming home sounds like being in the same room, I assume owing to the house construction in Porto. Put some earplugs in your bag and you will be fine. Super super benefit: Not any troubles about early check in, what a pleasure. THANK YOU

Jun 27, 2019Pros: the hosts are very nice and communicative; the location is amazing (quiet but walking distance from tourist spots and city centre), the apartment itself is very pretty, well decorated and different from the usual stuff. Cons: There was quite a bit of dust in both rooms, there was no dish soap, the shower clogged a bit. If some improvements are made, this place can be truly spectacular!
