I enjoyed my stay in the room. The host was fine. She provided a very clean room with shampoo. There is a coffee maker, tv, refrigerator, and microwave. The only downside is the thin walls but once you turn on the AC you can't hear them.

Jun 27, 2019The host was very receptive to my questions, and answered them promptly and professionally. The description she provided in her listing was accurate. The view from the window was spectacular, the unit is clean and has all the essentials for a lengthy stay. There is a laundry room available if needed. The location of the unit is pretty central to the downtown scene. I would highly recommend this unit because of it's location, price, and cleanliness. By the way, the shower is very nice.

Everything was very clean & well-kept, lots of towels, shampoo & other sundries, and even a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts was waiting for us! Access was easy, parking was a breeze, and it was less than a five minute walk to the harbor/beach access. We would stay there again. Thanks, Wei! :)
Jun 27, 2019My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hawaiian Monarch for 3 days and 2 nights while finishing up our trip in Hawaii. The studio was as pictured and had a fantastic view of the canal. There was even a box of chocolates that greeted us at the studio. Wei was very communicative and responsive to all my messages. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Would recommend for anyone to stay here as it was super close to Waikiki!

Jun 27, 2019This is my first Airbnb experience, and I really enjoyed my stay at Wei's apartment. This place is perfect for two people. Towels were provided, the room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. It was exactly like the picture with a great view, and it is located in the center of the city with close proximity to the biggest shopping mall. There's also a really good Japanese restaurant downstairs, so make sure to try it out!
Jun 27, 2019This was my second time using airbnb. The unit is exactly as pictured and described. The view is amazing. You can see the Ala Wai Canal and the ocean. Wei responded quickly to my questions which was great. The unit is very clean (no bugs thankfully) and it was easy to check in and get the key cards. No issues. Waikiki beach/Hilton is about a 15 min walk. It's about a 1hr to 1.5 hr drive to North shore (I didn't experience traffic). Parking was easy in the building totally worth the $25/day. Very secure also. I will definitely stay here again next time. Thanks Wei.
Jun 27, 2019I had a very nice stay at Wei's place. It's a small condo on an upper floor of the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel building. The view from the window is great. The place was clean, everything needed was provided (internet, AC, fridge, towels, soap, etc), and the location was convenient (can walk to the beach in about 15 min and easily access local buses). I did not meet Wei, but she was very quick to respond to inquiries through airbnb messages.

Jun 27, 2019I cannot say that Wei's condo was new or fancy. But it was absolutely great enough to stay regarding compatible old hotels in Honolulu. Wei respected my privacy, which means I did not need to meet her or contact her often. I probably stay at there again for next visit.

It was exactly same as the photos with a great view. Located in the centre of the Waikiki; 10mins walking for beach and Ala Moana shopping centre. so make sure to try it out. Thanks once againg Wei~

Jun 27, 2019Wei's studio was located in a great walking distance from the main strip in Waikiki. The studio is placed inside the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel. The hotel main lobby and hallways aren't the nicest, but it's great for sleeping arrangements. There was enough towels for my trip, as well as plastic silverware, refrigerator, and a microwave for those that want to save a few bucks on food. The room itself is by the elevator, so you can hear the elevator when someone is on it. The room had fresh sheets on the bed, and it was a decent size bed for 2 people. Also very comfortable for being away from home! As far as parking, if you rent a car, there is hotel parking that's $25 for 24 hours. When approaching check in, it was a bit confusing since there wasn't much explanation. The first entrance to the hotel has mailboxes and lock boxes. That's where you'd pick it up. Once you have the room key, then you are able to park in the hotel parking. The attendants in parking aren't the nicest people! But over all, I had a good experience at Wei's studio.

Jun 27, 2019Wei's place is clean and tidy. The bed is comfortable and there is a nice view down the canal or across to the ocean. It is quite close to Ala Moana shops. We needed a place for just one night in between trips, and though the price quoted is ok, the cleaning fee and taxes (when applied for just the one night) made it a bit more expensive. There is no kitchenette, which I might have missed when I read the initial ad. The tenants before us only decided to check out late at the last minute, creating a very long waiting day for us. Throughout this I must say that Wei responded quickly and courteously to our messages.

Jun 27, 2019The Good: the place was clean and conveniently located. It has a great view. There was a full-size fridge and microwave. The bathroom was also full-size and clean. Once I got through security, access was easy and fast. The bed is soft, but comfy. AC works well, though it is a bit noisy (it's a window-unit.) The Bad: The place is tiny. Overall size of the entire unit, including bathroom is about 10-by-15 feet. It is just one room with a bed on one wall and the fridge and microwave on the other--more like a hotel room than a condo. The electrical cord for the fridge runs across the wall in a way that looks weird. The dresser is full of stuff--drapes, extra pillows, dishes, silverware, etc. so you can't use the dresser for your clothes. It also took me 3 days to find the silverware and dishes--they're there--keep looking. Weird. There is no closet, but there is a place by the door to hang things. (Its above the vacuum cleaner in the pictures.) There is no desk, no alarm clock and no way to plug anything in near the table or the bed, so if you need to work or to get up at a set time, you will need a fully-charged laptop and/or phone. Parking is $25/day, payable in CASH ONLY. Could go either way: There is some religious imagery and signage in the condo.

Jul 27, 2019The unit is older but location is good, close to Don Qinjote Japanese supermarket for your grocery shopping. Easy access to bus stops, 7-11 around the corner with laundry mart. Get a monthly bus pass($60) or 4 days pass($35) from 7-11 and enjoy the best BUS system exploring the whole island.
Jun 27, 2019This place was perfect for me, studio condo for 1 or 2. Wei's place was very clean and had all the amenities I needed. Full size refrigerator, microwave, and WIFI. She also had beach towels provided. There is a washer/dryer on the 5th floor coin operated. The hotel itself is right next to a 7-11 and a laundromat. It's walkable to everywhere I needed to go. Because of the location of Hawaiian Monarch it's along Ala Wai street which has lots of street parking around the condo, I did not have to pay $25 valet parking that's required at most hotels to park in the hotel. Instead I just looked for parking around the hotel, street parking is free after 6pm. Just pay attention to the signs on when to leave the parking spot. That was an extreme plus because that saves you $125 for 5 days just in parking. The check in and check out process was as simple as can be! You won't have any issues. I will definitely book here again as it saves so much money and the savings can go to other Hawaiian attractions instead.

Jun 27, 2019I stayed in this lovely house almost one month! It was very close to the beach, waikiki and alamoana so really comfortable. You can go any where. Everything in the room such as furniture, amenity is same as pictures and well equiped. The room was so clean. Wei was good at communicating with me and gave me the anwer very quickly. But the only problom was noise. Sometimes the neighbors could make a noise. because the wall is very thin you might listen to the music of them. After all, i recommend this room!

Me and my girlfriend had a good time at her condo apartment, all the amenities were thoughtful and useful! It was at 20th floor too, perfect view of the canal and mountain side. Reasonable price and highly recommended!
Jun 27, 2019This unit is in a great location and is a good value for the price. There's nothing too fancy about the unit, but there are some great niceties like a fridge and microwave. The location is great, I was able to walk to anywhere in Waikiki, and was also able to hop on a bus to get to other parts of the island. There were some noisy neighbors, but hotel security were responsive when I contacted them about the noise. Overall good unit for anyone who wants to see all that Oahu has to offer on a budget.
Jun 27, 2019Has this old apt musty smell. I think the apt is quite old. I stayed in two different Airbnbs, and for the extra 1.5x I paid for the other place (Superhost place), it was so much better. If you want to stay in the most basic place, this is it. If you are on vacation, I suggest you get a bit of a better place, seeing as you are gonna end up spending crazy amount of money in Hawaii anyway...

Jun 27, 2019Wei's place at the Hawaiian monarch was awesome. It was perfect because of the location. About a ten minute walk to the beach and the shopping centers. Surrounded by places to eat and convenience stores. Right below the hotel there is a fun little bar where the locals treat you like one of their own. As well as nice, decentley priced places to eat. Wei was very accommodating with the questions I had along with letting us have a late check out. We will definitely be staying here next time when we come back to visit. Thanks again for being better than a hotel stay. This is why I choose airbnb

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is located in a great area of Waikīkī so long as you have a car to explore the rest of O’ahu. There is a great smart car rental place right downstairs that have very reasonable prices. The beach is about a 15 minute walk and there are tons of shopping and restaurants in walking distance as well. I would give this place 5 stars for location but if lodging is important to you, I would say it is just ok. It is very minimal but doable if you don’t mind an ok apartment.
Jun 27, 2019The view of the canal is just breathtaking. This apartment is located near almost all the good places like Waikiki beach, Royal Hwaiian, Ala Moana mall(you can take Biki bike and it'll take you about 7~8 minutes to get there) etc. If you're renting a car, you should be extra early bird since free parking near the apartment is only from 6pm to 6am. Me and my boyfriend had to move our car near to the canal every morning since you can park your car there any time. But you can only park there till 8:30am from Monday & Friday. Other great thing about this place was the swimming pool & how it had all those hangers we could use to dry our wet clothes & towels! :) Also the mister at the pizza shop in the lobby is quite cool so try to drop by and say hi (and ask him what kinda pizza they have. he'll ask you back with what kind of pizza you want lol) xD Big thank you Wei for making our trip unforgettable! We'd love to stay at her place again if we visit Hawaii again. Mahalo :)

Jun 27, 2019Wei's place is simply amazing. Awesome view, easy check-in, short walking distance to shops, short walking distance to the beach, and just a great place to stay. We stayed in a hotel for the first part of our stay because of business meetings...hindsight tells us we should have just stayed at Wei's place the entire time. On our next trip to Oahu, we will be staying here.
