Prior to arrival I received a call from the property manager giving me excellent directions on what to do when we arrived. Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted and given personal attention to our room. The room was terrific.
Jun 27, 2019The studio was directly located at Waikiki beach. Several beaches and other sights were perfectly reachable by car. A lot of restaurants and shops were close to the studio as well. The room was clean and the bathroom & kitchen provided all things needed. Unfortunately there was no table in the room which made it difficult to eat there. The balcony on the 10th floor was great for sunsets.
Jun 27, 2019Rob was most gracious and helpful. Right near the beach and EVERYTHING else. We loved it. Parking arrangements were perfect and not an expensive add on. When we come back, we'll stay here again.
Jun 27, 2019My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location of this property is absolutely perfect in my opinion. This property is one block from the beach, which is awesome. The rooftop deck you see in the pictures is pretty incredible. Since the property is on the very south side of Waikiki, it gives you an unobstructed, 180 degree view of diamond head and the ocean - it's pretty spectacular! I love snorkeling and there's actually pretty decent snorkeling spot on Queen's beach close to the wall between Queen's Beach and Queen's Surf Beach which is a 4 minute walk from the room. If you keep exploring for about 45 minutes you'll probably see a couple hundred fish and 8-10 different species of fish. I've always rented snorkel gear from Snorkel Bob's who is 5min from this property and they're great. Lastly about the area, we walked down and had breakfast at the Barefoot Beach Cafe one morning and I would recommend it. Great food and awesome ambiance next to the ocean. The room was great also. It seemed slightly smaller in person than in the pictures, but it perfect for what we needed and great for a couple. Everything looked upgraded and really nice in the unit. Similar or better pricing than a decent hotel, but it's more spacious and you get a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, pots and pans to cook on and nice dishes to use. There were also beach chairs and an umbrella to use in the closet. We enjoyed staying in and just watching TV some nights. The TV swivels so you can watch in bed and there's a pretty good lineup of channels here (200+) with a DVR which was great. The only downside to the building is the pool doesn't look that good. When you're 150 yards from an incredible beach - and specifically Kuhio Beach that's walled off so it feels like a pool anyway, there's really not even a need for the pool on the property. Overall we had a great experience. Because of the location, 180 degree rooftop view of diamond head and the ocean, quality of the room, and the price, we will probably always try to stay here first when we visit Waikiki in the future!
Jun 27, 2019I rented this place for my parents and they loved it. The location is great and the space was clean, simple, and enough for their needs. It is a little small but if you're out and about in the city a lot, it's all you'll need. Communication was easy and check in was simple as well.

Jun 27, 2019Great location, very clean, close to everything! Lots of great restaurants within walking distance, and the beach was less than a block away. Also we rented a car, and this was the perfect location to get in and out of Waikiki easily. Great place, thank you for hosting us!
Jun 27, 2019It was a great stay at the apartment for us. It was very clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy the stay. Communication worked easily and we could get into the room earlier than usual check-in. The location was very good to walk to the beach and explore waikiki. Also the free parking is just 5 minutes to walk. Only downside is that the room has no view and the water in the pool wasn't clear and had a very strange taste when I did some laps.

Jun 27, 2019숙소의 위치는 동물원 바로 맞은편으로, 와이키키 해변과 매우 가깝습니다. 건물 1층에는 Teddy's Bigger와 abc-mart가 위치해 있습니다. 핑크버스정류장은 aston hotel 정류장에서 하차하면 됩니다. 방은 매우 청결하며, 사진과 실물은 동일합니다. 안타까운점은 내가 소리에 민감해서 에어컨소리가 조금 시끄럽게 느껴졌습니다. 그외에 다른것들은 완벽했다.

Jun 27, 2019We didn't meet Mark but was greeted by Joey who promptly showed upon our arrival. Joey gave us a thorough tour and got us situated in the room. The hotel is in a great location and that's probably where most of the value is at. It's right across from the zoo and parking is $1 an hour there. You can add time to the zoo parking lot meter by texting from your phone, no sign up required. The room was a lot smaller than what the pictures showed but it was still homey and clean. Definitely would stay here again. BEST location if you want to be close to the Waikiki action without all the noise as you sleep.

Jun 27, 2019I was expecting to be able to see the ocean from our room but when I got to the room all I seen was the back of the building which was an alley way because the pictures show otherwise on airbnb. The building itself smelled pretty bad but the room itself had a bit of a better smell. When I booked through airbnb I booked because it said doesn't need to be approved by host so I was expecting to be able to check in with no problem. I then got to the room and wasn't able to get in. Said it was gonna be programmed to the last 4 digits of my phone number. Then it was over priced. Just not the best night.

Jun 27, 2019Such a lovely and quaint spot!! I have family in town and I come down quite often to the island. Needed a last minute place to stay and this was perfect. I booked the same day! Got in! Such a cute spot! I thought I’ve seen Waikiki! Or most of the condos in Honolulu but this was cute. Perfect for one. Appreciate the stocked kitchen, open rooftop deck! Closeness to the walls! Welcoming and cute spot! The tree branches outside will hit the window though. I stayed here during the windy week and the noise woke me up often! If you’re not a light sleeper, you’ll be just fine! Jun 27, 2019Mark's place was great, cozy, with all the amenities you need for your awesome stay in Hawaii. Very Clean! It's one block away from the beach, one block away from rentals for scooters, bikes, and quads and another from the ABC stores. The view is accurate and the 10th floor has an amazing overview of Diamond head and the beach. Mark's place did not leave me wanting anything more, aside from one more nights stay! highly recommend this place as it does not get any better than this!

Jun 27, 2019This was my first time using Airbnb and definitely was worth it! I had no troubles with this place whatsoever, it was perfect. I came to Hawaii with my boyfriend for the first time and this place truly made it more easier for us. Right in front of the beah, next to stores and restaurants. The place was much bigger than from what we expected and I was really thankful we chose this place to stay at!

Jun 27, 2019The location of Mark’s rental is fantastic. I am a mature solo traveler. I felt safe and very comfortable staying here. It s a perfect location for walking to beaches, parks and accessing all of Waikiki. There are numerous bus stops just steps away that made getting around Honolulu so easy and convenient. The room is attractive in a quiet area of the building. The amenities were perfect and everything was as advertised. Mark’s staff was helpful and checked in and out was efficient and super easy. There are many shops and restaurants in the area. The guide to the area facilities located in the room was helpful. Everything was super close. TV and WiFi worked perfectly. I would definitely stay here again!

Jun 27, 2019Absolutely perfect spot to stay! Good price. The unit was incredibly clean and there was gear for everything you need (snorkel, beach chairs, towels and a beach umbrella). It is within walking distance of everything you need. I would highly recommend this to anyone who plans to visit Oahu!

The communication was very smooth and they provided all I needed before/during the stay. If you are planning to go spend a lot of time on the Waikiki beaches, this is definitely one of the best choices !
Jun 27, 2019The location can’t be beat!! All the amenities that a hotel would have and then some - we especially appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and snorkel gear. We didn’t long for anything and were also thankful for the laundry facilities in the building. The 10th floor deck and stunning view were an added bonus. Can highly recommend staying here.

Jun 27, 2019We loved our stay at Marks place. It was the perf size for the 2 of us and the hotel itself had very good vibes. All the workers there were very nice especially Roxy. We had some concerns from previous reviews indicating the bar on level 2 can be a bit loud, but we could not hear the bar from our room at all and we really enjoyed the bar there. The waitress Lee was a doll and was always giving us great tips on things to do or rent.
Jun 27, 2019This is a great little place to check out Waikiki on foot. Within easy walking distance to great shops, restaurants, and a stone's throw from Waikiki beach. It's certainly small, but the location is worth it. The rooftop patio is also great.
Jun 27, 2019Great location, clean and tidy and very worth the price. We loved everything about it. Our only complaint would be the showers didn’t always get hot. But other than that we enjoyed our experience and our host was very nice!
Jun 27, 2019Let’s begin with the positive...the location of the building is great. Within walking distance of center Waikiki. Also,once we found our host(s) they were attentive. Also, the initial room we were given was just as shown in the picture. However, the building itself is old and definitely needs updating (carpets and paint). The air conditioner in our initial room was so loud that even Mark knew it was unacceptable. He told us to hang on and he would find us another room....then Rick (I think) brought us to “an even better room with an ocean view”. Upon entering the room Rick apologized for the mattress/box spring saying that they were getting a new one soon. Everything in the room was old (except the tv). The window air conditioner was bed height approximately 12” from the bed pointing straight at my face, even trying to point it down it still hit me in the face. The bathroom was a (Website hidden by Airbnb) husband had to jerry-rig the drain as the plug was in a permanent down position. We were located on the fourth floor, with constant street noise all day/night long. Plus, there is a bar two floors down that had loud music playing until at least two in the morning which we were not notified of... Fortunately we were only booked for two nights, then went to another (Hidden by Airbnb) on north shore that was amazing! We will not be going back there ever again.
Jun 27, 2019I stayed at Unit 605 at the Waikiki Grand Hotel. It is the best location in Waikiki from my point of view. It is across the street from the Zoo and Kapiolani Park with views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. Because it is at the end of Waikiki Beach it is quiet with a feel of nature and far from the maddening crowds of tourists. Perfect place for morning walks, viewing sunsets, and steps away from clubs, shops, and restaurants. Breakfast at American's Dinner, Denny's is only two blocks from hotel door. Mark's place has it all!
Jun 27, 2019It must be said there are some good things going for this apartment. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from the beach. It is clean inside and seemingly will maintained. The roof deck of the building has a great view. But I wouldn’t have booked this room if I knew there is a unbearable noisy air conditioner and very thin curtains with poor quality which was hard to keep the light out, they made me couldn’t sleep well every night. When you turned on the air conditioner, even in eco mode, it starts off fairly quiet. However it then alternates between this level and a significant rattle. We spoke to Mark about this, he came down to hear it for himself but insisted that the noise level was "within range". Needless to say, we disagree. I have sympathy for him because this is a brand new aircon unit, but I'm afraid for a small studio apartment it is still too noisy. The unit is about 50cm from your head when sleeping, and it simply prevents you from being able to sleep well. Hope it can be solved one day.
