Jun 27, 2019The room was as described (with one exception) and I enjoyed my stay here. The location is convenient for walking around Waikiki and there is limited parking on property (first come first served basis). The place is a bit small but still the description is accurate. The exception is that there is no wifi in the unit. Apparently there used to be but the building changed internet providers recently and wifi is no longer available by entering a code. In fairness I didn't give this feedback to Nobu and give him a chance to fix it because I felt there would not be a solution and that it would be a waste of time. However, I believe it is the owner's responsibility to know all of the details about the unit even when something changes such as this. I would not have stayed here had I know there was no wifi in the room as I needed it for my work. Still, I enjoyed staying here and have no complaints. It all worked out fine!
Jun 27, 2019Nobu made my stay real simple, we just talked once throughout the time being. The room was exactly has specified in the page, quite comfortable and with more than I expected, specially in the kitchen. The neighborhood was completely a tourist area, with open mini-marts open till really late hours and close by. I always felt safe in and out of the hotel. The location was walking distance to most of the attractions Waikiki has to offer. No need to rent a car if you're an active person. The people all around are friendly and courteous. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking and the all around maintnance of the hotel was clean and neat. I would definitely stay here again in a not so distant future and also recommended to everybody I know. Weather wise, it was sunny, breezy, cool and great for a stroll even at night. Great place to make good memories!
Jun 27, 2019Nobu's place was great for our first time in Hawaii. Me and my boyfriend were even able to stay and additional two days! The location was next to everything you need. Food,beach, and shops all in walking distance. The room itself was clean and stocked with everything we need. Towels, beach necessities, appliances, utensils, plates etc. There was also a laundry room on the premises(was able to clean everything on last day). The room was worth the price we paid for. My one and only con with the place was the wifi wasnt either working or accessible. Other than that i highly reccommend if location and value is a must.

Jun 27, 2019This was our first experience with Airbnb, and I'm glad to say it was a success. A lot of this has to do with simplicity and straightforward nature of Nobu and his studio at the Waikiki Grand. The studio was clean, and had all of the necessary amenities. The location was key, as it is located close to free parking (if you want to rent a car) and Waikiki beach. You will have to walk a bit if you want to go to the western side of Waikiki but we found ourselves gravitating towards the restaurants lining Kapahulu Ave. Nobu was very accommodating. He was quick to answer any question and give suggestions. He is as involved as you need him to be. Everything was straight forward and it resulted in a good experience. If you are visiting Waikiki and intend on renting a car and exploring the whole island, this would be a very good and affordable option.

Jun 27, 2019First time in Hawaii and I am fairly new at using AirBNB. I used it once before so for this being my second time it was great! Communication with Nobu was a breeze before and during our trip! The location is great and it is literally a 2 minute walk to Waikiki Beach Pier and great location for local restaurants, grocery centers, etc. Parking is tough during the day time but in the night it gets better. You can park across the street (pay to park). The room was exactly how it is described and the pictures are completely accurate! Clean, comfy, and felt right at home! Thank you Nobu for your hospitality would stay here again and also reccomend!

Jun 27, 2019Communication was great and everything was super easy. Location was brilliant, walking distance to everything we needed and close to trolley stop. Good value for money. Only thing is that the apartment is very dark and even in middle of day needed light on, however saying that we were not there a lot during the day
Jun 27, 2019My fiancee and I had a great time at Nobu’s place, it was clean, quiet, and the hotel staff were very friendly. It was easy connecting with Nobu and gaining access to the suite. The suite had everything we needed which included TV, internet, AC, and a clean kitchen. The suit is also situated close to many shops such as Starbucks, bars and a convenient store. It was a one minute walk from the beach which was awesome. I would highly recommend staying here. I felt comfortable, the area is safe, and is away from the heavy commercial area filled with a lot of traffic. This side of the strip is also closer to some of my favorite restaurants which include Leonard’s Bakery, Ono Seafood, and Pioneer Saloon. On my next trip, I would definitely book the same suite.

Jun 27, 2019This is my second time staying in an airbnb unit in the Waikiki Grand. It is a great location near beach and zoo. Conveniently near bus line to/from airport 19 or 20. Nobu's apartment has an alley view which makes it quieter than the first unit we stayed at facing the zoo which is over the bar. Of course this means no views of Diamondhead from the unit unless you check out the outdoor patio. So you get quiet but sacrifice the view. We liked the quiet more. Good WiFi, A/c and kitchen. My wife and I would definitely stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019The place was everything we expected it to be and it was very close to the beach... about 1 block. The staff at the Waikiki Grand was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay. While is is not a luxury place, it is very nice and has everything needed for basic comforts. It is well worth the price!

Jun 27, 2019Nobu was super responsive and the location couldn't be beat. No real view from the room, but the silence at night while sleeping due to being on an alley was GOLDEN. Plus, we spent very little time in the room outside of sleeping, but it has everything you need.
Jun 27, 2019I had a great stay here in a nicely updated and well equiped unit at the Waikiki Grand. The unit is very quiet on the alley side and the kitched has every concievable pot, pan, utensil, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, cutting board, serving ware, ice chest bag, that you could possibly need for a short or extended stay. The television and wifi were trouble free and I was even able to record some late night tv shows on the DVR for later viewing. The Waikiki Grand is a very unique place to stay in the area with the best sundeck over looking the Zoo and Kapiolani park and Queen's Beach. More than ideal.

Jun 27, 2019Great location! We loved going up to the sundeck to enjoy the view of the beach, Diamond Head and the flamingos at the Zoo across the road. Nice sized apartment for two people. The bed was nice and comfy and the room was quiet at night. Nice and clean room with beach towels, beach mats, sun umbrella and chairs to take down to the beach. A great experience, we would definitely stay again.
Jun 27, 2019Nobu was an excellent host. He was responsive and accessible throughout our trip. His unit is clean and convenient to restaurants and shops in Waikiki. For 1-2 people, it has plenty of space, and you have access to towels, kitchen, etc. It is not the most luxurious location, so if that's what you are looking for, I would recommend looking at some of the other options on Waikiki. However, we did not plan on spending a lot of time at the unit itself, and we were very comfortable and pleased with the affordability of this location. It was a great home base that provided all of the household necessities we needed at a reasonable place.

Jun 27, 2019House was clean and location also good. 집 에어컨이 오래된 것이라 소리가 나서 조금 불편했지만, 방은 시원했습니다. 그리고 집에 채광이 안들어와서 낮에도 조금 어두워서 불을 켜고 사용을 해야 하지만, 낮에는 집에 있지 않아서 괜찮았습니다. 주방이 잘 되어 있어서 음식을 해먹어야 하는 상황이라면 편리할 것 같습니다. 침대가 하나가 있어서 커플이 쓰기에 좋은 원룸 이라고 생각합니다.

Jun 27, 2019I and my wife spent 14 days in the apartment. It was a great time. The apartment has a excellent location. You are in front of Zoo and 3 minutes walking from the beach. That is amazing, we returned to the apartment during strong sunshine. The apartment is in a quiet part of Waikiki. In the apartment you have all the kitchen utensilies you need to cook. It is very quiet during the night. The apartment faces a alley. You are only going to hear some noise after eigth am, it is perfect. The apartment is clean and the bed is good. Only thing I would suggest is a bigger bed. But that is not a problem. Other point, you have available umbrella beach, chair and beach towel. Nobu is very helpful and reply my messages very fast. My suggestion is to rent a bike using biki. It is very helpful. I used a lot to go around the Waikiki. You have a lot of ABC stores near the apartment. You can get almost everything you need there. If you want to go further, you can rent a scooter or mop in the alley. Probably because of the date I went to Waikiki, we did not face any problem using the public transportation.
Jun 27, 2019Nobu's place is great. Right in the heart of Waikiki only about a 5 minute walk from the main shopping and eating strip. The place is nice and big with a solid kitchen. Only thing to be aware of was that the garbage trucks pick up out the back of the room and are quite loud (woke us up at 5am one morning), not sure if this changes depending on the time of year though
Jun 27, 2019Location - access to beach was great. Views from level 10 excellent. Close to parks and the zoo and Diamond Head. Appreciated the sense of space rather than just tall buildings. Open walkway from lift to room added to feeling of space. We liked the quieter, calmer end of Waikiki but access to other beaches, shopping, restaurants was easy to reach by walking. Liked the comfortable feel of the lobby - very welcoming. Convenience - Code for the door, no keys makes security simple. Well equipped - lots of kitchen appliances. Appreciated the beach mats. Able to organise great trips from the lobby - snorkelling was highlight. Communication was good. Would consider staying there again.

Steps away from the beach and the heart of Waikiki. Right across from the Zoo as well. Would definitely stay again. Nobu was very responsive and check-in/out was a breeze

Jun 27, 2019Check in was super easy, the space is better in person than in pictures and it is clean. It is walking distance to everything and we loved that it was down the street from the beach, a 3 min walk. I recommend eating at the restaurant on the second floor of the building, they have good food for cheap prices and alcohol pitchers for $12! This location was perfect.

Jun 27, 2019You cannot beat the closeness to the beach, and having Hula’s in the complex is an amazing bonus! I will share that our room was facing a side street, and every night I was awakened to people walking by around 1-2am. Not fun. To compensate, I turned on the AC to drown out the noise.
Jun 27, 2019Nobu is a great host. Quick at responding, not much interaction needed though as everything just worked the way it should. Check in and check out was a breeze. Location is fantastic. Almost as close as you could possibly be to the beach. On the edge of the chaos of Waikiki so it was easy to find free parking (5 minute walk away). 1 minute to 15 minute walk gets you to almost anything you might need. The only thing that isn't perfect is a couple loud noises. The air conditioner is a little louder than what you might be used to in a hotel. If you're a light sleeper, this could be an issue. The unit faces the alley and it seems that the garbage trucks are always around at 6am to 7am. It's loud enough to wake up a fairly deep sleeper like myself. My 9 month old baby would always wake up because of this and cause him to cry. Other than that, great place and would stay here again when my baby is a little older.

Free street parking is only a few blocks away. The unit was clean and organized. Had all the amenities for a vacation stay. Very good view of Diamondhead, the Zoo, and beach from the top of the hotel. Great value, and would highly recommend!
Jun 27, 2019Waikiki Grand is in an ideal spot. The beach is so close as are the many shops and places to eat. Our room was well equiped, and clean. I would definately go back here. The rooftop area is great, what views,Diamond Head and the beach.

Jun 27, 2019Great host, great place! I’ve stayed here three times already and all of them has never been any problems. Location is awesome! You can walk anywhere and the beach is just steps away! I’m also a light sleeper. Where the room is located, is on the alley side. So you don’t hear any music coming from the bar. I would stay here again for sure!

I’m kind of a freak about cleanliness, and have been disappointed by that and bugs when staying before. Seriously, the unit was so clean that even we were getting the extension cords from behind the bed, there was not one speck of dust. Loved everything about the condo! Thank you!
Jun 27, 2019Great location. Literally right across the street from the Honolulu zoo and Waikiki beach. Tons of restaurants to choose from coupled with great places to shop. The unit was cozy, more than enough for my wife and 11 month old (if you’re the type to travel light). Unit was stocked with pots and pan to cook with (although we didn’t do any of that since we were here for vacation). Great place to stay is all I have to say.

Jun 27, 2019Lovely studio apartment as advertised. Very quiet (apart from the loud air conditioner!). The apartment is in the Waikik Grand Hotel which is right near Honolulu Zoo and at the quieter end of the main Waikiki beach strip which is definitely a big plus! Note there is a bar/nightclub on the 2nd floor of the hotel however, we heard no noise from this in the apartment! The apartment was clean and there was a decent sized kitchen. Beach gear (body boards, towels, bag, mats, umbrella and chairs) was provided in the apartment which was much appreciated. The 10th and highest floor of the hotel has a deck which is beautiful for watching sunsets and offers panoramic views of Diamond Head!

Jun 27, 2019The location is so great, and overall this place is great value for money and we would certainly stay here again. The place itself is large and spacious with everything you could need; however, it can be a tad dark as the placement of the apartment means the view is another building, and thus sun doesn't really come in. BUT, this didn't effect us or our stay at all as "why be inside when you could be outside in the beautiful Hawaii?!"

Jun 27, 2019Nobu’s place is exactly as shown on the profile. The studio is completely stocked with cups, plates, and utensils. Everything was well organized. He even has a beach umbrella, beach mats, beach bags, body boards, chair, snorkeling gear, and beach towels stocked for you to use. More than enough bath towels for use as well. Only issue I noticed was that there was no bathroom fan or one that worked. The only way to airout the bathroom was by the window. Even so, it still felt musty inside of it. If your window is slightly open, people outside can potentially have a closer look inside by pushing the shutter open since it’s a louver style window. Luckily we didn’t have any issues with peeping toms. Overall, the place was great. The best takeaways from Nobu’s place is that it’s located right across the Honolulu Zoo parking lot, which allows hourly parking. Having the extra beach equipment also saved me a lot of money and made beach days more convenient. Great place!

Jun 27, 2019Apartment is as described, not new but not old, location is good. AC window unit is very loud and old, but powerful enough to cool the room down and then you could leave it off. Front desk will store luggage in their office if you arrive early or have a late flight.
