Neighborhood Overview
walking distance to some of Hawaii's finest and trendiest restaurants like "12th avenue grill", "Town" & "3660 on the Rise". Great Italian, Greek, Mexican, Japanese and Napalese restaurants are also within walking distance. The entrance to Diamond Head State Monument and it's hiking trail to the top is 10 minutes away. Honolulu's largest farmers market takes place every Saturday morning just 2 blocks away. Waikiki beach is less then 5 minutes by car or a 25 to 30 minute walk down the hill.
Notes
Kahala beach is nearby and a great alternative to Waikiki. Kahala hotel features a great snack bar, nice sandy beach and dolphins swimming in a giant lagoon. Waialae Ave Is 5 blocks away and features many award winning restaurants like “3660 on the Rise”, 12th Ave Grill, Town, and many more.
Transit
There are two major bus routes a few blocks away from the apartment as well as a freeway on ramp just six blocks away. And of course it's a great area to walk in. Street parking is available for guests who prefer large, oversize vehicles.

Kevin was a great host! He suggested restaurants and things to do, all of which were great. The apartment was clean and perfect for two people. Kevin let us use bikes, beach towels and anything else that we needed. We will definitely stay with him when we travel back to Hawaii! Thanks again Kevin!!
Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay at Kevin's one bedroom. Kevin met us even though we arrived late. He even provided a welcome bottle of wine and bag of coffee. The place is nice and close to some good restaurants and nice little hikes.
Jun 27, 2019Kevin's house was absolutely perfect for us and it made our weekend a dream. It is 20min to the Waikiki beach strip that we walked down every morning and very easy/close to the freeway, shopping and a Whole Foods. The apartment had everything we could have needed and more and was so clean and cute. We recommend this home to anyone and it will be our first choice next time we visit Hawaii!
Jun 27, 2019Kevin's place was exactly what we were looking for. It's a completely private 1 bedroom/studio--super clean and stocked with new appliances, TV with cable, and wifi access. Kevin was a great host and even went out of his way to let us check in early. He supplied us with everything we needed and was responsive and accommodating. We would've stayed longer, but it was a last minute booking and was only available for a few days. Next time, we will definitely book it earlier!
Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed our stay at Kevin' s place. The apartment is really nice and spacious as it appears on photos. The location is very good, close enough to the city but away from its traffic and noises. Shopping centres and nice restaurants are nearby. Everything was fine except that on arrival the apartment was dirty and dusty.
Jun 27, 2019My wife and I took our first trip to O'ahu last week and had an amazing time. Spent 3 nights in the North Shore at a resort then stayed 3 nights at Kevin's place. It was perfect! Was my first time using airbnb and was nervous about it but it was very secure. This one bedroom aptmt was very well kept, full kitchen was great. The bed was a bit hard but can't complain for the price. Had everything we needed. Didn't get a chance to meet Kevin but he always replied to my text and calls. Would definitely recommend this place, is close to Waikiki and Diamond head. The free parking space was also key. Great place, price can't be beat. We will definitely be staying with Kevin the next time we go back to Honolulu.
Jun 27, 2019Kevin's apt's location was great. The place was clean, updated and had comfortable everday amenities. It was great to have a washer and dryer, WiFi, complete kitchen with appliances and he provided beach chairs and wake boards, very awesome for my mother daughter trip to Honolulu. Staying at Kevin's, gave us an opportunity to stay as locals. We were close to Rainbow cafe,Diamond head grill, Leonard's, the beach, and ofcourse Diamond Head park. Kevin was very attentive, i most def recommend you to check it out. :)
Jun 27, 2019This was my first experience with Airbnb and I was overwhelmed! The apartment was fantastic - very modern, spacious and cool. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. It was way more than my expectations - I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. After experiencing the awful traffic of Honolulu, we realized how lucky we were to be staying near Diamond Head. It's a short drive into the city, a very short drive or walk to Waikiki and very close to Diamond Head. We stayed 3 nights, and the location was absolutely perfect. Kevin was a perfect host. We had no issues to report, and Kevin answered basic questions very promptly. Loved the place - would stay again!

Great Kitchen to cook in, has roku and free wifi, washer and dryer, location friendly; near the freeway and he has beach chairs and wake boards for you to use. Jun 27, 2019We were in Oahu for about 10 days and plans for another hotel in Waikiki fell through. We booked with Kevin a few days before we actually stayed there. It was late notice, but we were able to get in. Kevin was an incredible host. His place is beautiful, clean and has a washer and dryer. He always responded in a timely manner to any question we may have had. He greeted us with wine and bagels with cream cheese for the next morning. The apartment had everything you could think of and then some. His kitchen was even stocked with ingredients for a pasta meal. He also recommended a great place to eat for Greek food and it was delicious. We will definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Oahu. Thanks Kevin!
Jun 27, 2019Kevin was very responsive to emails and phone call prior to my arrival and available during my stay. The apt. is located close to Diamond Head and Waikiki is very close by as is the highway. Very well kept and maintained and I had everything I needed and felt right at home. I stayed here for almost a month and hope to stay here longer next year as I will be returning to Hawaii for business and will stay at Kevin's place again without a second thought.
Jun 27, 2019My husband and I spent 5 days in Oahu celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary. We didn't want to be in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and this location was perfect! Kevin's place was our home away from away home. We rented a car while we were there. I'm not sure how convenient it is with public transportation to the city from here. It was very cozy and all the needed essentials were there. He even had boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrella to let you use for when we went to the beach! The furnishing were all very modern. We are out everyday but you can definitely make a meal at home if you wanted to. We had an awesome time staying here and would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Oahu!

Really comfortable, clean and way above what I expected. The location was perfect for me located between the beach and where I have family living so it was an easy walk or short drive to wherever I wanted or needed to go. I will be back without a doubt. The description of the place was spot on, and has everything you need, from beach towels to cooking supplies (pots and pans). I would definitely come back!

The house was clean, had all the amenities (cooking utensils, dishes, etc), modern appliances, and Kevin left a number of wonderfully inviting gifts from wine, to chocolate, to a hawaiian calendar. Jun 27, 2019This was the best airbnb place we've stayed at as far as value and quality goes. 1. Great location, close to waikiki yet far enough from the noise and bustle. Getting to different parts of the island was a breeze. 2. Fully stocked, I mean he has everything you might possibly need which made our stay so convenient. 3. Clean, modern and updated, beautifully decorated, it was absolutely lovely. Very private, cozy and ideal for two people. 4. Kevin himself was so gracious and we really felt the Hawaiian hospitality and love during our stay. I highly recommend his place and I would love to stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019This was a most excellent place! Beautifully decorated! It was as nice as the pictures and every thing we needed was provided ie cooking utensils, soap, toilet paper, washing detergent. Everything! We didn't get to personally meet Kevin but he was only a phone call or text msg away for any questions. It was a nice neighborhood for walking but I thought the beach and shopping too far to walk. No worries! Quickly resolved by renting a moped which was So much FUN! We really hated to leave and this would be our first choice to stay if we were fortunate enough to come back to Oahu!

The location was really close to nearby Diamond head and an amazing Farmer's Market held every Saturday, Waikiki was close and the freeway easily accessible. Kevin makes the stay very pleasant with a warm welcome. He is there if you need him, but also leaves you the privacy you want! We would definitely stay here again if we're there !

Jun 27, 2019Kevin's apartment was absolutely delightful. It was bright and breezy and such a gorgeous retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Waikiki strip. It had everything we needed and more. We were without a car so it was a good 30 minute walk down to Waikiki and a 5-10 minute walk to several different buses that took us to all the places we wanted to visit. The KCC markets were just across the road. With lots of fresh and interesting food it is well worth a visit. We met Kevin on arrival to the apartment and he was very welcoming and happy to answer all of our questions. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it. Rosie and Indeana

The place is surrounded by natural beauty. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to stay here again. Our family members who live here even considered staying here as a great weekend getaway. Kevin is a great host and responds to texts quickly. He sent us a picture of the house and the parking space so we could easily recognize it. The property is nicely located in a residential area...we felt "part" of Oahu and not like tourists in Waikiki. Easy access to different activities without the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The property is exactly as pictured...only better! Thanks for the welcome gifts! He has thought of everything down to the iron, detergents, shampoos, (Website hidden by Airbnb) much more than I expected. In fact I almost went to buy beach towels....something made me look in the closet and BINGO- 2 awesome PLUSH towels! Just perfect...now I know why they call this paradise! Thanks so much- highly recommend and would love to return some day!!!

I only saw him once during my time in Hawaii (he came by when I checked in) - however, all his prep work ensured we had no hiccups upon arrival or during our stay. The space was perfect for myself and my friend as 1 of us took the room and the other, the couch in the living room. It was clean, safe, in a convenient neighbourhood (we had a car and planned to venture around the island/beyond waikiki - which is a 10 minute drive). We loved having a kitchen and the tools to cook with. Kevin's space is perfect for those looking to get the most out of their stay in Honolulu, I absolutely felt like I was at home. We felt like locals by the end of the trip & were glad to have chosen to go this route rather than book a hotel in the tourist areas as our experience would have been much different. I would recommend anyone to stay here and hope to come back myself! Thanks Kevin!

Kevin had it set up to welcome us with lights on, music playing, and some special treats- very nice touch! We did not have a car and walked many places - also learned how to use the bus with a bus stop about three blocks away. Loved our stay- thanks Kevin!

The apartment was very clean, in great location, came with a variety of beach goods (such as body boards and snorkels) and we were gifted some complimentary wine and chocolates which was appreciated. The kitchen is also a terrific space with high quality items and pots and pans. Would definitely stay again. However, the experience is improved dramatically with having a car.
Jun 27, 2019What a delight it was to stay at Kevin's apartment. Our arrival was seamless, the apartment extremely well stocked with all we needed as well as plenty of toiletries including 'Island Coconut' shampoo & conditioner (what else!) ... and a couple of welcoming treats which my husband and I enjoyed one afternoon while sitting under the permanent beach umbrella. This apartment is located in a quite neighbourhood and is well shaded from the elements. It was nice to wake up to birds singing rather than the hustle and bustle of down town Waikiki. Kevin was efficient with communication and very friendly to deal with.

Jun 27, 2019I have done several AirBnbs now and my experience here was probably the best! Once we stepped in, the place was just as pictured with a lot of modern furniture and appliances. The place was already well lit with the windows and fans on to let in the cool breeze in. It was pretty much stocked with everything we could possibly need for our long stay. Plus, Kevin left some wonderful treats for my friend and I to enjoy the rest of our stay. The location of the place is perfect because it is close enough to the city but also far away enough where we didn't have to face city congestion getting back home after a long day of hiking or going about the wonderful Oahu. What we also loved was that Kevin respected our privacy throughout the trip, but also was very responsive when we had questions or concerns. Overall, I would say that I would love to come back again and highly recommend this AirBnB.

Quiet and relaxing with minimal noise. We enjoyed everyday of my stay. The owner, Kevin, is very friendly and always reachable by sms/phone. I would recommend this rental to anyone who visit Oahu.

Jun 27, 2019My husband and I and our son traveled to Oahu to celebrate our oldest daughter's graduation from Hawaii Pacific University. This was my first time using airbnb for family travel. Kevin's place was perfectly located just 5 minutes from our daughter's apt. in a safe and lovely neighborhood with nearby beautiful views. Kevin contacted me right away to answer the few questions I had prior to our trip. When we arrived we were able to check in early with our own private key code as Kevin was easily accessible and responded to inquiries immediately. On walking into this exceptional studio, I can say his pictures do not do it justice. It is an absolutely lovely place to stay. Not only was there everything that we needed inside (including chocolates!) Kevin was kind enough to let us BBQ chicken for our little graduation party and made sure we had propane for the grill. Anything we needed he had! Most excellent beach chairs ever, great snorkels and fins and he even let us borrow some chairs to take to kids apt for the party. Additionally he even included a great write up sheet regarding nearby places to go and eat. Kevin and his lovely place get a five star rating from us and we are planning to return next spring when our second daughter graduates from UH!!! Love, love, loved everything and every minute. Jun 27, 2019We had an amazing stay at Kevin’s gorgeous apartment full of life. The apartment was well furnished, lovely, clean, and has many thoughtful details including easy parking, extra toiletries on hand if needed and much more! The decor and furnishings are full of personality. Exactly like the photos! The kitchen is supplied with pots, pans & utensils. There is plenty of room to unpack your bags and settle in. The bed was very comfortable, and the place is at a calm street, so you get a good night sleep. A very practical thing was that you have a washing machine, great for longer stays. Our stay was just amazing – a great place to stay! Kevin is generous, and conscientious hosts. He was super responsive and easy to coordinate with. A few day’s prior our arrival Kevin sent us a message with a lot of information about the apartment, the nearest grocery store, some local tidbits and beaches, which was very useful. Futhermore Kevin provided us a great gift basket upon our arrival with Hawaiian Host chocolate, Kona coffee, a fresh Mango and a botle of water! Thank you so much! WOW! We absolutely loved staying here. We would definitely recommend this place and Kevin as a host, and would love to come back again! Thank you so much Kevin!

Pictures provided a good expectation of the layout and the place was clean & pleasant. Kevin provided a good level of communication before and during the stay as well as giving a list of his recommendations. Definitely recommend this place for anyone staying in Honolulu.
Jun 27, 2019We recently spent 11 days staying in Kevin's beautiful apartment in Diamond Head. Kevin very kindly left us a welcome package of coffee and local chocolates and water, and a momento calendar - which was a lovely and thoughtful gift. The apartment is exactly like the photographs - modern, tasteful furniture, a wonderful selection of books, a fantastic kitchen with everything one needs to cook at home - a home away from home indeed! There is a great BBQ and it was so wonderful to have access to a washing machine etc - it makes a big difference during a long stay. The apartment has everything you need - a clothes horse, a cool bag for picnics, table cloth - tables to dine both inside and out. Kevin has absolutely though of everything one needs in order to have an easy and relaxing stay. The bed was so comfortable we are going to investigate getting one just like it ourselves! The apartment is in a wonderful location, very quiet and with excellent access to local shopping - we highly recommend the Whole Foods Market, less than 10 minutes away. It is also within about 5 minutes drive to the beach - with easy parking - perfect! We cannot recommend Kevin and this apartment more highly and we very much hope to return and enjoy this lovely space again.

Jun 27, 2019Our flight came in early and we met Kevin as the apartment was still being cleaned. He was gracious and even allowed us to check in a little bit earlier. The space was clean and pretty large for a 1BR. There was also a shed with various beach equipment - chairs, snorkels, boogie boards, etc. which was convenient.

When we arrived, he and his wife made a special effort to come over to greet us and answer any questions we had. The apartment was as pictured, and in a very convenient neighborhood. He thoughtfully provided a Hawaii-themed gift basket, said to feel free to use any of the supplies on hand, and gave us tips on places to eat and shop in the neighborhood. We were comfortable and felt like the place was our own. Liked the washer and dryer, outdoor table and chairs, and easy parking. After the initial greeting, we were given complete privacy. We definitely recommend this place.

Very nicely furnished and comfortable place. This is a local neighborhood with easy access to the freeway and Waikiki. As a former Honolulu resident and very frequent visitor with many family members on the island, I most strongly recommend his apartment for kamaaina and tourists who want to avoid the hassle of Waikiki. Whenever I am not staying with family, I will try to book again with Kevin.

We wanted to stay longer but unfortunately this beautiful place is very popular and desirable and for great reasons. It's a great spot for any couple looking to get away from the hustle of beachfront resorts. Kevin is a very thoughtful host; we easily found all the amenities we needed and more. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very private. Another great feature is the location. This was our first time visiting Hawaii, and we found the location to be perfect for accessing nearby sites like the Diamond Head summit trail. I cannot recommend this place enough. Jun 27, 2019Kevin was the perfect host. He was helpful to us before, during and after our stay. The description of his place and its location were accurate. Kevin's communications were helpful in planning our trip to Hawaii. His home is convenient to Diamond Head and Waikiki Beaches--we had a rental car and having a dedicated parking space was very convenient. The condo is clean, tastefully furnished and had all the conveniences a traveler would need. The appliances are all new and modern. The amenities (towels, soaps and supplies) were all first-rate. We appreciated the welcome basket Kevin left for us-- it included Kona coffee, chocolates and bottled water. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well (the apartment has a washer and dryer but we did not use them). All in all, Kevin's place was perfect--the best place I have ever stayed in using Airbnb! When I return to Hawaii I would certainly try to rent Kevin's place again!!
Jun 27, 2019Great experience!!!! We arrived in the middle of a rainy night to a fresh, lit. Inmaculately clean apartment. It was very late so we did not meet Kevin, but he left us a basket of Delicious local goodies we enjoyed upon arrival. The apartment is beautiful. It has everything one might possibly need. Internet works very well and the private garage is very comfortable. The location is perfect. Very easy access to Waikiki without being there. It is bliss to wake up in the quiet area of the apartment where all you hear are birds. It is "en route" to the most beautiful beaches on the island, further south. I would highly recommend staying at Kevin's apartment. I hope to meet Kevin next time!!!

It was so nice to not have to worry about towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. The neighborhood was great and we felt very safe. I definitely recommend Kevin's place and hope to be back soon.

Jun 27, 2019Walking in for the first time, our expectations were exceeded even though the pictures gave us a great sense of what the place was going to be like. The apartment is easy to find in a nice quiet neighborhood. Location is prime, I felt like we were in the middle of everything. Kevin is an amazing host and always replied in a timely fashion. He even left us a gift basket for us to enjoy during our stay. The beach amenities (beach towels/chairs/umbrella, snorkeling gear, boogie boards) are an added plus. One thing the pictures don't show is a huge closet equipped with hangers and a drying rack. I assume past guests have left behind hair dryers and an iron since the listing shows that those are not available, so no need to bring those. We also left a travel sized garment steamer for future guests to use. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and we would be more than happy to stay here again. I would also recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Oahu.

It is literally right next to waikiki and just right of the freeway. Very close to everything. Definitely coming to hawaii more often and staying here!
Jun 27, 2019A great pied-a-terre in vibrant Kaimuki. Many high quality local cafes and restaurants on Wailea Ave within a 10 minute walk (Koko Head Cafe, Sprout, Curb, to name a few). Kevin's place was well situated to visit all of Honolulu, the well visited and the off beaten path. The accommodations were impeccable as was Kevin's hosting. My wife and I travelled with our infant son (10 mo. old) and we found Kevin's place comfortable for all us. A definite thumbs up!

Would highly recommend staying here. Uber is popular on Oahu so easy to get a cab if you don't feel like walking or driving.

The neighborhood is walkable and quiet, and the apartment thoughtfully outfitted, clean, and carefully maintained. Kevin provides all the beach gear you might need, plus a basket of welcome gifts. We loved Ala Moana Beach Park--even on a Sunday it wasn't crowded, and on Monday we had it almost to ourselves. I'd stay here again if I could.

It was well stocked with kitchen items, towels and bedding, beach chairs and snorkeling gear. I actually didn't expect it to have so much available to us as this was my first time using Airbnb. Kevin also left us a lovely welcoming gift basket. When I needed to get in touch with him, he was very quick to get back to me and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend his place to anyone. Jun 27, 2019We loved our stay at Kevin's place. The apartment itself is great. It's immaculately clean, it's got brand-new furnishings and AC, and there were some lovely arrival gifts waiting for us in the form of chocolate and local coffee. It's also a great location, centrally located in Honolulu without being caught in the tourist trap that is Waikiki. You will need a car to get around, but thankfully the place comes with a parking spot and reasonable street parking. While I didn't get to meet Kevin in person, he was very responsive over the phone and made sure our stay was nice and pleasant.
Jun 27, 2019Kevin's place was just what we were looking for during our stay in Oahu. he met us right at our front door when we arrived and welcomed us from our long flight! we definitely had enough space, the place was very clean, and it was close to almost everything we wanted to see and was close to the freeway, so getting around was super easy. the driveway right out front was definitely a plus as well. we felt right at home, and kevin was a wonderful, friendly host leaving us a welcome basket and being available to answer any questions. we were surprised to find the kitchen stocked so well of pans/utensils/condiments/spices which made cooking a breeze. would recommend this condo any day!

The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. I liked what Kevin did with the place particularly the setup. It was practical and very comfortable. The apartment is walking distance to Diamond Head which was convenient when we went hiking. The apartment is in a safe neighborhood a little ways from the downtown hustle and bustle, but still close enough - just a short drive. I really liked the place, and it came with a parking spot! Jun 27, 2019From the minute you walk into Kevin's apartment, there is a very cosmopolitan feel. The blend of Hawaiian and Parisian decorations make the apartment very hip. We had a great time walking to places like Koko Head Cafe and KCC farmer's market and the Diamond Head Hiking Trail (as all are recommended by Kevin). The included parking spot allowed us to feel like a local and venture around the island with reasonable drives to places like Pearl Harbor and Waikiki. The included washer/dryer and kitchen gave us a great home base during our adventure. Knowing this, it allowed us to travel light and prepare meals in advance for our hikes. Kevin was very low-key and made great recommendations as mentioned above. He was always available and prompt to responding to any questions or requests.
Jun 27, 2019This was the best AirBNB apartment that we have stayed in... in Honolulu. It looks exactly like the pictures. There is no need for me to post any. Very comfortable to stay in. I'd like to keep this place a (Website hidden by Airbnb) I can get back in next time ! The carpark spot helped immensely, especially as we needed a car to get to all the places that we wanted to go. Restaurants are so close (not the one's in Waikiki, the ones that the locals eat at!)

Jun 27, 2019We really loved this place! Perfect size for two with the ability to cook in, and close enough to Waikiki to taxi in to town for shopping/dinner without breaking the bank. Diamond head hike and the nearby farmer's market are must-do's for the full neighborhood experience. Kevin also had a bunch of beach stuff (chairs, towels, boogie boards etc.) for us, which was great! We would definitely stay again.

Jun 27, 2019Kevin's place is simply awesome. It must have been professionally designed and set up. It felt like home with everything being perfect. Ok, I prefer bar soap over liquid body soap, but who cares! Down to the tiniest details there was no expense spared in the set up. USB power outlets, dimmers on ceiling lights, a safe, bidet (which I thought was overkill), welcome basket, etc. Even the paper towels and tp were high quality and not the budget variety. I appreciated such thoughtfulness and attention to detail. The apt is as described and pictured. Everything felt new. Neiborhood is a quite residential area and feels really safe. It's a great base and convenient location to explore Oahu. You'll really appreciate being away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki's tourist traffic. But if you need retail therapy they are close. Private parking space is always a good thing too. What can I say, Kevin's place was great!! This was my first Airbnb and I may never go back to staying at hotels. I didn't actually meet Kevin since I was out most of the time, but I felt his welcoming spirit from his messages and the feel of his place. I'm definitely staying here if I get to go back to Oahu. The place is stocked to perfection with every convenience you can need. Great price, great location, clean, modern, and a super cozy feel. “Check in” and “check out” is easy because there’s a remote keypad entry system - so no having to arrange for key pickup if you get in really early or late. The neighborhood is quiet and close to everything interesting. In any case, the number of glowing reviews for his place speak for themselves. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Location was in a cute neighborhood on a hill near Diamond Head. It was nice to be out of Wakiki, but still very close by if we wanted to venture down there. Having the private parking spot may be the best part of the whole deal. Saved us so much stress and time!
Jun 27, 2019Kevin was extremely accommodating and generous. Coffee was supplied and of course that is always the priority for us. There was also a parking spot which was very convenient. The beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc that were provided were a life saver since we flew over from the mainland and there was no way we were able to bring all of that with us. The place was left very clean and inviting and Kevin was always quick to respond to all questions. The neighborhood was also very accessible and close to H1 highway and in a central location. I would definitely recommend Kevin's place too all friends and family of mine and would love to stay again!

The apartment is very beautiful, much better than we expected. I love the tree in front of the door. The location is not far from the most of scenic spots in Honolulu, so it's very convenient.

The space was much bigger than I imagined and it was well stocked with everything we would need and all the extras we didn't anticipate before the trup. The little touches made our vacation and Kevin was super helpful! Navigating Oahu from this rental was easy! Great location for Waikiki and Hanauma Bay (plus Kevin had all the snorkleing gear and boogie boards to make day tripping to nearby beaches fun and easy). Can't say enough good things about this entire trip.
Jun 27, 2019For two people, Kevin's place was more than sufficient for a week's vacation. The kitchen was fully equipped, the bed was soft and comfortable, and bathroom/shower was big enough for a very tall person. We especially enjoyed the room safe which kept our valuables safe and the beach chairs, sun shade umbrella, and snorkel sets. We didn't need to use the room air conditioning as the two ceiling fans and floor fan adequately kept the place cool. Kevin greeted us on the first day of check-in and then kept in touch by text even though he lived next door. We appreciated the privacy. TIP: Rent a small car such as a Prius to park in the driveway (only the left side, no part of the car should be in the sidewalk area) and get around the neighborhood's narrow streets.

Conveniently located within 10-15 minutes drive to Downtown Waikiki, we felt it was close enough to everything we wanted to see, but when we wanted a quiet night's sleep, we had it. The washer and dryer was also a great addition. Also, having access to the boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and beach umbrella was a huge plus. I would highly recommend Kevin's place and will happily return if given the chance.

The welcoming gifts made us feel at home, especially to coffee drinkers! Plenty of room, parking spot, clean and quiet. It is in a beautiful location on a hill with easy access by foot to Waikiki, ample parking and quick access to freeways so it's easy to explore the whole island. The place itself is truly delightful--it's cozy, quiet and extremely well-appointed. Kevin has thought of everything so you don't have to. One last finishing touch is the extremely comfortable bed. It's often an afterthought, but there's nothing like getting really good sleep on vacation. If you have the opportunity to chat with Kevin, he's friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area, having lived in Honolulu most of his life. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Location requires rental car or private vehicle availability but otherwise has easy access to get around city and island.

Great location next to delicious restaurants, walking distance to the KCC farmers market and Diamond Head, and also close driving to a very quiet and windy beach. Kevin provided everything that was needed for a great experience. Forget Waikiki!

He was very quick with communication if there were any questions I had to ask. His place is just as pictured it was very comfortable and me and my girlfriend really enjoyed it. It wasn't too far from Waikiki or downtown but was far enough to get away from the night life for peace and privacy. Overall our stay was amazing and I would most definitely suggest staying here. His place was fully stocked with everything you need while exploring Oahu from a portable cooler with speakers to snorkeling gear. The studio apartment was very clean and a welcome basket was provided with coffee, water and snacks. The kitchen had a water filter jug, coffee maker and microwave for our tasty leftovers. The bathroom had everything you would need even shaving cream and aloe vera, which was a lifesaver since we were burnt toast by the end of our trip. Kevin's place is in an ideal location: away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but not to far from the action. I would definitely recommend this spot to couples, small families and solo travelers.

Jun 27, 2019I'm from Oahu so when I come back to visit family & friends I don't like to be stuck in Waikiki in some overly floral hotel -- I want to pretend like I'm living there and I haven't left. I've stayed in a handful of airbnbs but this one was the best yet! Wow...the decor was so stylish! Parisian-tropical. Loved it. There's a bidet!! Big mirrors. Cozy yet so classy. No rattan or loud floral; refreshing. Loved the outdoor shower with the little nautical light on top -- awesome little touch. Greenery all around. I sat out front at the little table (so private) and had delicious (complimentary) coffee in the mornings and tried to soak in all the chill beautiful vibes before I had to go back to LA. Loved that we could park right in the driveway. It's a downstairs unit but it was so quiet... we could hardly hear any footsteps from above. We could walk to Kaimuki and Kahala and even Waikiki. The communication was amazing also. Didn't get to meet Kevin in person, but he was so clear and welcoming in his emails from the start to finish. This is the only Airbnb that I am seriously going to try hard to book again in the future. I was so impressed by all the little details and truly felt at home. Thanks Kevin!!

Jun 27, 2019Kevin's place is in a perfect location and perfect for anyone traveling as a couple. The airbnb is well outfitted with beach equipment, which proved to be very handy. Being able to park in the driveway was also a huge plus. Definitely would look to re-book if I ever visit Honolulu again.

Jun 27, 2019My husband and I recently stayed at this Airbnb which was such a lovely find. The location was ideal for accessing the many restaurants and cafes in Kaimuki and we really appreciated the parking spot that was included. It was also a convenient walk to the KCC Farmers Market. The space was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and the host had thought of everything needed including beach towels, shampoo, spices for cooking, and even an umbrella! Kevin was very responsive in all communication and very flexible. Thank you Kevin, it was a pleasure to stay at your property.
Jun 27, 2019Very clean welcoming cottage close to a Diamond Head. Kevin makes sure you have all that you need to have an enjoyable stay. It is perfect for two people that don’t need to be in the center of town but it is still close enough to be convenient to everything.

Jun 27, 2019Kevin’s place has everything we thought we needed and everything we need that we hadn’t thought of. Kevin met us upon arrival to show us around and was super nice on giving us advice about what to do. He answers messages almost instantly. He has outdoor showers that I didn’t think we needed because we didn’t go to the beach but when we came back from a hike, the showers were perfect for washing off our sneakers. There were the things you’d expect like towels, bed sheets etc.. and then there were all the extra amenities I didn’t expect like chairs, coolers & full stocked kitchen. I wish we cooked because there was literally every utensil available. We loved that there was water in the fridge upon arrival because after a long flight we were parched. It is a quiet neighborhood. It’s located next to everything though! We were 10 minutes from downtown Honolulu & a24 hour Walmart & 5 minutes from the Kahala hotel. 8 minutes from Koko head and a Costco. Love it! Thanks Kevin.
Jun 27, 2019I would highly recommend this place to anybody coming by themselves or with their beloved. Clean quiet environment with nice attractions in close proximity. I would definitely consider coming back here for another Hawaii visit.
Jun 27, 2019The place is *exactly* as advertised. Very clean, well-maintained, comfortable bed and well-appointed. Walkable to Diamond Head is a huge plus. Parking made our life so easy. So quiet and relaxing. proximity to Whole Foods was extra convenient. We’d stay here again on Oahu before going anywhere else.

The studio itself has everything you would need! Would highly recommend this place - I know I'll be on the lookout to stay here when I'm back!
Jun 27, 2019Kevin’s place felt like such a hidden gem, and gave us the authentic Hawaiian experience that we were after. Situated just minutes from Diamond Head, and near quite a few tasty local restaurants, we had the chance to try so many things ‘off the beaten path’ that we never would’ve seen had we stayed off Waikiki in the touristy area. *if you’re up for a good hike, Moana Falls was AMAZING and so worth the short drive*. Kevin had lots of recommendations for nearby dining that we loved, and was super quick to respond. There were thoughtful touches in the place such as spices, cookware, sunscreen, beach towels etc. Check in and out were a breeze- would definitely recommend Kevin’s place, and would be happy to visit again! *Whole Foods was just minutes away and of course, was amazing for getting fresh groceries and delicious food (Times grocery store next to Kahala Mall was a good option too and we found to be much cleaner than the other Times location) *There’s a fantastic little gelato stand inside Kahala Mall that we frequented *Ichikiri was a 5 min drive away and had delicious Japanese hot pot *12 ave grill was one of Kevin’s recommendations - worth making a reservation for
Jun 27, 2019Aloha! Kevin’s place was truly amazing! My girlfriend and I had an extremely memorable experience in Oahu. This was hands down one of the most beautiful Airbnb’s we have ever used. The washer and dryer came in very handy and was easily accessible right on the side of the apartment. Parking was never an issue since Kevin also had a small parking spot on the left side of the driveway available for us to use. Having a full size kitchen was definitely a plus since many other Airbnb’s in the area did not have one available. We hope to stay at Kevin’s place again. P.S. The snorkeling gear that Kevin provided for us to use came in very handy as we were able to use them as we explored the Hanauma Bay which was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Jun 27, 2019So many lovely touches to make your stay truly a “home away from home”-fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook your own meals and huge fridge to have multiple days of food on hand. Very comfy bed, soft towels and lots of bathroom admenties. Fans,a/c,hairdryer, extra towels,iron...you name it, everything you could possible need is supplied. The response time from host is amazingly fast and very helpful when we needed an emergency clinic. We are already suggesting this host to other family members for future adventures!

Nicely appointed furniture, artwork, flowers, books, etc. All the cooking utensils, silverware, dishes that you’ll need if you want to prepare meals. Nice quiet residential neighborhood. You’re not in walking distance to beaches, restaurants or attractions, so you’ll need a car or lots of Uber rides. Easy 5 minutes drive to Diamond Head and Waikiki. Plenty of beach gear available for use, including 2 nice and comfortable beach chairs which we enjoyed.
Jun 27, 2019Very clean, stylish and spacious studio. The kitchen and is top of the line and fully stocked, really nice. Amazing cross-wind breezes and birds outside to greet the day :) no ocean view but it’s on top of a hill so you can walk a block down and get a really nice view of the ocean that way. Definitely helps to have a car if you stay here. Diamond head hike is within walking distance if you’re up for an adventure - go in the morning and watch the sunrise for a treat! Park opens at 6. We especially enjoyed the proximity to authentic restaurants and hiking Diamond Head. Check in was so convenient. We slept so well after each full fun day! Would definitely stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019What a great spot for a couple that want to be in a super location. The trade winds were great while we were there, and you truly don't need the a/c when that's going on... I would pick this location over Kahala or just about anywhere else on in the Honolulu area - so close (walking distance) to all the fun stuff in Kaimuki, plus Kahala Mall, and easy access to the highways in case you want to beat it to more remote beaches, etc. The apartment is nicely sized - plenty of room - quiet, and with an excellent library including lots of good guide books. We would definitely stay again.

Jun 27, 2019Kevin’s place is amazing. It’s everything that is in the picture plus more!!! The amenities are outstanding!!! Snorkel gear and beach things were provided and very well organized. This place is kept VERY CLEAN. I can’t stress that enough. Communication with Kevin is top notch, he’s very quick with responses. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place to rest your head after traveling the island, this is the place to book.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is wonderful. The location is very nice - quiet and less crowded than Waikiki but still very close to that area (a few minutes driving distance). There are beautiful views of the ocean from the street and you are within walking distance of Diamond Head (about 20-25 minute walk to the trail head). The amenities of the apartment are excellent - so much better than a hotel and a much better value! Kevin was a great host and was super helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and things to do in the area. We loved it and would be happy to come back and stay again! Aloha!
Jun 27, 2019Kevin’s place is amazing! It is well located near Diamond Head and close to all Waikiki has to offer. The apartment is very clean, the bed is comfortable, there is a large kitchen, and parking for one small car. Kevin immediately responded to all our questions and suggested things to do in the area. We went to an incredible Farmer’s Market on Saturday, right up the street within walking distance. We highly recommend Kevin’s apartment for your next stay in Waikiki!

Jun 27, 2019케빈의 숙소에는 하와이 여행에 필요한 모든 것이 구비되어 있다. 비치용품, 취사도구, 침구류 모두 충분한 수량이 준비되어 있고 심지어 두 개의 water purifier도 있다. 집의 구조는 privacy가 충분히 지켜지는 구조이고, 집 밖에 샤워시설이 있어 물놀이 후 귀가 시 모래를 제거하고 집으로 들어올 수 있다. 집에서 보내는 시간도 충분히 활용할 수 있도록 두 개의 요가매트와 요가교육DVD, 여행관련 책자들과 가족과 함께 보기 좋은 DVD 또한 구비되어 있다. 케빈은 체크인 시간에 맞추어 적절한 조명 및 fan을 켜 두었고, 웰컴선물을 준비해 놓았다. 욕실, 주방을 포함한 집 전체가 매우 깨끗하게 관리되고 있으며 주차 또한 편리하다. 와이키키에서 도보로 거리가 가깝지는 않으나, 가장 유용한 2번버스 정류장 까지의 거리가 가까워 렌터카 없이도 충분히 여행이 가능하다.
