This apartment is perfect to visit the downtown because you'll not need any transport for it. As it's close from the metro station "Faria Guimarães", you can also visit other places of Porto as diferents as "Casa da Música" or FC Porto stadium.

The best way to get to the apartment is by metro. From the airport, you need to get the metro station and get to "Trindade" (main metro station in the city). After it you need to change to the yellow line and go to "Faria Guimarães" station. From there, you're just 5 minutes from the apartment. You can also use the taxi from the airport, it would be around 20/25€.

Estuve con mi familia pasando unos días en Oporto en casa de Jorge. Es una casa muy agradable, amplia y luminosa, en nuestro caso fuimos 5 personas y nos sentimos muy agusto. Todo es nuevo y la limpieza es impecable. Está situada muy cerca del centro, a unos minutos andando de la plaza principal pero en un barrio donde es fácil aparcar. Al final de la misma calle donde se encuentra, hay una iglesia muy bonita que merece la pena visitar! El trato con Jorge ha sido magnifico. Tanto él como su madre han sido muy agradables y han estado en todo momento pendientes de nosotros, recibiéndonos con una botella de Oporto. También nos han mantenido informados. Por ejemplo nos avisaron un día que había una carrera por el centro y las calles que iban a ser cortadas.
Jul 27, 2019Aluguei a habitação para a passagem de ano e o Sr.Jorge foi muito prestável e atencioso. A habitação é muito acolhedora. Numa próxima visita ao Porto é uma habitação a ter em primeira opção.
Jun 27, 2019Very nice flat in the centre of Porto! 10 minutes to walk to downtown and the beautiful river-side. 5 minutes to the next metro station. Host always available and helpful. Communication before and during the trip without any problems. The flat is suitable for max 6 people, perfect for a family or group of friends. Super clean, new furniture, everything good. Really nothing to complain about. Recommendable 100%! Not only the accommodation but also the city!! Must-see in Portugal. Go and enjoy ;)

Jun 27, 2019The Apartment was very nice with heaters in almost every room. Therefore it was rather cosy and warm. Everything was super clean and anything needed in a kitchen and bathroom was provided. The Apartment is close to downtown and there are good Restaurants Right around the corner. Communication with the host was Great and uncomplicated as was Check-In and Check-Out.

No falta un detalle para tener una estancia agradable y acogedora. Jorge nos recibió a la hora combinada para enseñarnos la casa y estar contactable durante esos días en caso de que surgiese algún problema. Para repetir, sin dudas.

Jun 27, 2019Juntamente com amigas aluguei este apartamento durante três noites, e todas adorámos a nossa estadia. O apartamento tem boas condições, é localizado numa zona agradável, perto do metro, da Avenida dos Aliados e se tiver pronto para andar dá para ir a pé até a alguns pontos turísticos. Tanto o Jorge como a Clarisse foram bastante prestáveis e tornaram a nossa estadia bastante acolhedora.

The welcoming was the best I ever had with an airbnb host, and she really took us through what specialties to buy at the supermarket that was a real plus! Can't wait to come back!

The location is very convenient, near the centre and very close to the metro. I definitely recommend this house for a pleasant stay in Porto!

Jun 27, 2019Perfect Porto Experience! The location and apartment were perfect. So much room, updated kitchen with everything you need to make a meal, and plenty of privacy with the two bedroom. But the hosts, Jorge and Maria were the best part. So incredibly welcoming and kind!

Jun 27, 2019O Jorge e a Clarisse foram ótimos anfitriões. O ambiente era muito lindo e cozinha completa, com tudo o que é necessário para se passar alguns dias no Porto. O apartamento possui estacionamento gratuito próximo (rua), era disponível uma grande quantidade de travesseiros novos e forros de cama em muito bom estado.

Siamo stati accolti dalla gentilissima signora Clarisse che ci ha mostrato la casa e si è resa disponibile per qualunque cosa avessimo bisogno. Ci ha anche lasciato in regalo una bottiglia di ottimo Porto! Lo consiglio e probabilmente tornerò.

Jun 27, 2019The welcome was fantastic from the family of Jorge. We are delighted with the welcome gift,, a bottle of Porto wine. The place is near to city centre. Its takes 15 min by walk and 3 min by the metro connection. The house is splendid with all required facilities like wifi, well-equipped kitchen, and excellent washroom. Jorge was in contact with us in Phone and giving us all the instructions necessary for our stay. Thanks, Jorge and hope to see you soon.

Jun 27, 2019Tivemos apenas uma noite no apartamento do Jorge mas foi muito bom, o apartamento é grande e muito limpo, a comunicação com ele foi excelente nos deu todo apoio necessário. A localização é ótima em um bairro tranquilo e próximo a estacão de metro. Ele nos recebeu para a entrega da chave e ainda deixou uma garrafa de vinho do porto para degustarmos.

Jun 27, 2019My trip to Porto turned into a disaster when my flat got cancelled, if it wasn't for Jorge and Clarisse it would have stayed this way. They have welcomed us with open arms at the last minute. Their flat is incredibly clean and comfortable in the heart of Porto. They even gave us instructions for all the things we could do in Porto and offered us a delicious bottle of Porto wine. They have been delightful and very helpfull a ll the way through. I strongly recomend them to anyone who visits Porto. Five stars!!

L'acceuil de Jorge, sa mère et sa grand-mère a été remarquable, des personnes très très symphas et disponibles en tous moment; même après notre départ. L'appartement très propre, très bien équipé et proche du centre-ville.

Jun 27, 2019Wonderful hosts, fantastic location, marvelous city - that's how we would describe in short our stay at Jorge's place in Porto. Jorge and his mother gave us an amazing welcome (a big smile, a bottle of Porto wine, and a very informative city guide - what more do you need!?:) Porto is one of the most beautiful and special cities I have ever visited and we couldn't have found the better place to stay than Jorge's apartment: not only it is fifteen-minutes walk to all major sights, but it has plenty of space (for a group of five people!), all necessary amenities, and beautiful views from all rooms. All in all, we strongly recommend staying at Soares Guest House. Jorge, thank you very much for your kindness and welcome!

A 15 minutes walk brings you in the beautiful centre of Porto, which we really enjoyed! Unfortunately we didn't meet Jorge, but Clarisse was a wonderful and very kind host to us. Jun 27, 2019Clarisse nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse. L'appartement est très propre et très bien équipé, on peut véritablement y séjourner et y prendre ses repas en famille, et comme il est traversant et pourvu d'un balcon on peut y faire circuler l'air et ne pas souffrir de la chaleur, même au cœur de la canicule. Il est situé en périphérie du centre historique, qui est à une demi-heure plutôt qu'à un quart d'heure de marche à pied. Le quartier n'a pas de charme particulier, mais il est tout à fait sûr, très bien desservi en commerces et par le métro (à 5 minutes deux stations) ou les bus, avec la possibilité de stationnement gratuit dans la rue. On rejoint le centre historique en à peine un quart d'heure porte à porte si on prend le métro. La ville de Porto a un charme fou et cet appartement est une excellente base pour la visiter.

Jun 27, 2019Me and my friends got a perfect stay at Jorge's flat. We all arrived at different times but Clarisse (Jorge's mother) let the first of us in before check-in time. Communication with Jorge was very smooth all the time. All the rooms are spacious and clean and the kitchen had everything we need. the apartment is walking distance from the city center so it was perfect for us attending a music festival. The city itself is amazing and the people lovely. I recommend the city and Jorge's flat 100%.

Jun 27, 2019Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit! Soares Guest House war sauber, top ausgestattet und sehr schön. In die Altstadt musste man zwar ein bisschen laufen, trotzdem immer noch sehr zentral und gut gelegen. Danke an die sehr netten und immer erreichbaren Gastgeber - wir kommen gerne wieder.

Une bouteille de Porto et des biscuits traditionnels nous ont été offerts à notre arrivée. L'appartement a répondu en tout point à nos attentes. Il est calme, bien équipé et parfaitement adapté à un usage familial. Il est aussi très bien situé pour se rendre dans le centre historique à trois stations de métro de Sao Bento sans changement Un petit supermarché est facilement accessible à pied. We konden altijd met vragen bij Jorge terecht. Wij hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad in Porto. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Bedankt!

Very fast answering and helpful communication in perfect english before and during the stay. All the equipment in a perfect condition. Lot of space on the balcony to dry your towels and swimsuits or wet clothes. Easy to warm up with the electric heaters. Highly recommend to consider this option!

Jun 27, 2019The flat is well located. Excellently equipped. It was very nice and clean. The owners (Jorge and his mom) were very friendly and attentive (before/after the trip). Only one thing, the heating system can be upgraded a bit. My family and I will recommend this place to stay. Porto is a very beautiful city and its people are amazing!

Acomoda sem problemas 6 pessoas, limpeza impecável, toalhas e talheres, TV, Wi-Fi, uma bela cozinha e 2 quartos e uma ampla sala com sofá cama. A recepção no check-in e o acompanhamento e prontidão do Jorge e família também foram sensacionais! Alguns detalhes que podem interessar algumas pessoas: o apartamento é no 2º andar sem elevador; há vagas de estacionamento na rua, por 1€/hora (dias úteis) mas o anfitrião conhece um parceiro com estacionamento por 8€/dia e a casa não possui aquecimento central (há 3 aquecedores portáteis bons, um para cada quarto / sala).

Clarisse was always fast to reply when we needed help or advise and took good care of us. The appartement is cozy, clean, located within walkable distance from the centre.
