Neighborhood Overview
The apartment is two blocks from the beaches at Waikiki and two blocks from the Honolulu Zoo and Kapiolani Park. Shopping and restaurants are plentiful in the area and within walking distance. The area is easily accessible to surf/boogie boarding spots, walking, jogging, and cycling areas. If you like quiet beaches, there is a beautiful shoreline from Diamond Head lighthouse to Kahala; only a 20 minute walk through the park or a 10 minute drive up Diamond Head Road.
Notes
The apartment has a private terraced garden. The owner/agent will need access to the apartment for light housekeeping and maintenance/watering of the garden for approximately 2 hours every 7 days; (usually on Fridays.)
Transit
The apartment is a short block away from bus stops going in and out of town. Taxi cabs are available 24/7 right outside the lobby. There is also shuttle service to and from all hotels to the airport. Arrangements can be made online or by phone. There are building security guards always on site.
Access
Guests' have access to a private garden, the building pool, tennis courts, and BBQ area. Laundry facilities are available on each floor. One parking space is included with the apartment rental. Security guards are on site 24/7.

The host met me when I arrived, helped me with my luggage, and gave me a quick orientation. As I was jet lagged, I especially appreciated the light breakfast left for me so I didn't have to go out foraging that first groggy morning. There was great communication before and throughout the stay and the host was gracious, immediately responsive, and very accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials and I was able to immediately settle in. The apartment was actually better than the listing - the lanai is HUGE and the lanai's private garden was a relaxing, beautiful oasis. It has a great view of Diamond Head as well. The apartment itself is newly renovated and gorgeous; I was the envy of my colleagues who were staying in small studios. Instead of the typical, just tolerable hotel furniture, the apartment had quality, comfortable pieces, and the overall design was great. The colors, artwork, finishes, everything about the decor was thoughtful and pleasing. The bedding and towels were great quality. I was surprised to find that beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc. were provided as well. I seriously had everything I needed for a beach vacation. The apartment doesn't have its own washer and dryer, but the community laundry room was down the hall and I rarely found the machines occupied, so it wasn't a big deal. I loved the location. The building is a hotel/condo combo and only two blocks from the beach, but in a quieter part of Waikiki so it was less hectic. There is still some street noise, of course - it's an urban area - but I never closed the windows and I slept just fine. If I had closed the windows and used the AC I wouldn't have heard anything. I had a car during my stay, which I kept in the building's garage, but only needed to use it when I left Waikiki. Otherwise, everything in Waikiki is walkable. I've stayed in hotels in Waikiki before many times and this was a much better experience; I loved staying here and it was a real pleasure to come back to this apartment at the end of every day. If I ever get a chance to come back for 30+ days again, I'm definitely going to try to stay here again. Highly recommend this apartment and host!
Jun 27, 2019My aunt and uncle, both in their golden years, had a wonderful two month stay in this lovely home. The apartment was exceptionally comfortable and just the right size for them. The terrace, which almost doubled the size of the unit, brought a beautiful Hawaiian landscape to their door. The location was perfect for them because of the public transportation close by, as well as restaurants and shopping. Gordon and Ray were the perfect hosts.
Jun 27, 2019I loved the place and location and my whole trip on Oahu was made better having such great accommodations. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone coming to the area. It really has everything you could need for your stay, including kitchen items, beach gear, bath towels etc. The garden terrace really does double the space and is a great addition to the apartment. There are so many plants you feel like you are in your own tropical oasis. There is so much in walking distance of the apartment, including the beach, shops and restaurants. If you are coming to Waikiki, don't pass up the opportunity to stay here. Gordon and Ray are exceptional hosts who will help to make your stay the best one.
Jun 27, 2019This is fantastic apartment. It is located in the best part of Waikiki: close to everything, 4 mins walk to the less-crowded part of the beach, 9 mins walk to main shopping. The apartment is very beautiful and functional. All in perfect condition. The terrace of the apartment is large and stunning. Nothing as peaceful as having a coffee there in the morning or reading a book while enjoying sea breeze in the afternoon. The terrace really puts this apartment way above any other option. The building is very good. There is a convenience store and a garage (to which the hosts provided us with a key). There is also a pool and a tennis court. The hosts are absolutely gracious, and went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. Thanks very much to Gordon and Ray!

Jun 27, 2019Highly recommend. Plenty of space for 2 people plus room to work for those that cannot escape the office whilst on holidays. Have stayed in a lot of BNB's around the world and this rates up there with the best.
Jun 27, 2019The apartment was amazing and everything we needed. It was so close to the beach,restaurants, shops etc. Gordon was fantastic very accomadating with checking in and out times. The welcome pack was a great help to give us, tips for activities and restaurants. The hosts were greats at recommending place also. We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend Gordon's apartment.
Jun 27, 2019What an amazing stay! We’ve been to Hawaii numerous times and I can honestly say that this place is the best we’ve stayed in. Not only are Gordon and Ray wonderful hosts, they are great people. They maintain the property very well and are very helpful with providing tips on the area to make sure our trip was memorable. The property is a great size for two people and is very warm and inviting. I’m impressed with the detail and care they put to the place from the well groomed garden in the lanai (it’s gorgeous) to the personal touches in the home such as their artwork and furniture. I worked during some of the trip and this place is ideal for me to concentrate and focus. I’ve escaped to the lanai many times! This truly is an oasis in Waikiki and we can’t wait to come back again soon!

Jun 27, 2019Quel bel appartement, décoré avec goût, nous avons adoré la terrasse le plus de cet endroit, entouré de plante et très bien entretenu. Gordon et Raymond sont adorable et nous ont bien conseillé. Vous trouverez les plages, bus et commerces tout proche à pied. Il ne manque rien dans l'appartement de plus la piscine se trouve au même étage et la laverie aussi très pratique. Une petite supérette se trouve à l'étage au dessous pour dépanner. Bref, un séjour inoubliable.
Jun 27, 2019Gordon is a superb host! He ensured we were properly brief on the quarters and surrounding area. I’ve come to Honolulu every year for the past 25 years for one month. This is by far the best lodging experience I’ve had to date with Airbnb! I highly recommend this property and plan to rent it this time next year!!!
