There are two bathrooms available for use and cleaned every day. There's wireless internet signal everywhere in the house We like having a good breakfast and so shall it be for our guests. Self-made bread, different fresh juices, tropical fruits, yogurt, coffee and many complements to eat with the bread. The breakfast is served in a big beautiful living room and we serve different things every day. The kitchen is available for use and we leave space in the refrigerator for the guests. Our permanent guest is a curious cat.

We live in a quiet, but central, part of Santa Teresa and only down the street, you can find traditional bars, charming cafés, restaurants, souvenir shops, and enjoy a beautiful view over the city. Our neighbourhood is famous for its numerous historical houses in colonial architecture and is known as one of the favourites spots for artist residences and studios. It is located on the top of a hill and in a walking distance from Lapa and the center from Rio. Up and down the street from our place you find bus and tram stations. Our goal is to offer you a joyful experience and we are pleased to give tips and advices about special places in Rio.

La casa de Ewa y Davi resultó mucho mejor de lo que pensábamos, era hermosa, muy limpia y el desayuno muy rico tal cual lo ofrecen. Los anfitriones fueron muy amables y nos dieron recomendaciones para visitar Rio, incluyendo guías preparadas por ellos mismos que nos ubicaron rápidamente en el barrio y nos ayudaron a sacarle el mayor provecho al viaje. El barrio de Santa Teresa nos pareció fantástico, seguro y no tan alejado como muchos comentan. definitivamente recomendaría este lugar.
Jun 27, 2019Ewa's place is beautiful and in a really nice location for hanging out in Santa Teresa! She does an amazing breakfast and she is really helpful with giving tips and trip suggestions for Rio - she had ever made little one-day-trip-maps for a few different neighborhoods, including restaurants and store suggestions - we really enjoyed it!

It was really great, her little guides with personal Tours and recommendations are really useful, her breakfasts incredibles and herself really nice. Thank you for everything, good luck with your photographs and everything! I hope we'll come back!
Jun 27, 2019Dank Ewa und Davi, hatte ich eine unvergessliche Zeit in Rio de Janeiro. Ewa ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, die jederzeit hilfsbereit ist und einen mit hervorragenden Tipps versorgt. Das Frühstück bei Ewa ist ein Traum, besonders die selbst gebackenen Brötchen und die frischen Säfte sind perfekt um in den Tag zu starten. Das Zimmer und die restliche Wohnung waren super gemütlich und sehr sauber. Zudem liegt die Wohnung in Santa Teresa, eines der schönsten Stadtteile in Rio und perfekt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed staying at Ewa and Davi's place. The house is at close walking distance to many nice bars and restaurants in a safe part of Santa Teresa. The house is very clean and nicely decorated. We also really enjoyed the breakfast offered every morning.

Jun 27, 2019Ewa and Davi's place is great; recently refurbised, clean, light and spacious, and the area (Santa Teresa) is bohemian and very charming. The breakfast is among the best we've had, even when comparing with "fancy" hotels. Ewa also makes her own maps on the different areas in Rio which we followed with great succes. However, the best part of staying there is the hosts themselves. Ewa and Davi put great efforts into giving their guests a great stay in Rio and their hospitality and help if needed (we lost a phone in an Uber, and they helped getting it back) is truly great. We highly recommend staying there.

Jun 27, 2019Ewa und Davi sind tolle Gastgeber. Mit viel liebe zum Detail, Mühe und Aufwand haben sie das schöne alte Gebäude in Santa Terese wieder hergerichtet. Das leckere, selbstgemachte Frühstück isst man mit Ewa, Davi und anderen netten Gästen. Es gibt viele Tipps für Rio, Bücher und Karten. Die Beiden sind extrem hilfsbereit und teilen ihr Wissen über Santa, Rio und Brasilien. Santa Teresa ist unser Lieblingsstadtteil und besser als bei Ewa und Davi kann man es nicht haben. Jun 27, 2019The moment we arrived, my wife and I were greeted by Ewa and her husband Davi. Ewa even had personalised travel guides made for us, which were very helpful as it covered a majority of the places we wanted to check out. Our room was small but just enough for the two of us. The hammock was our favourite and there was the flexibility of temporarily moving it out of the way to make space. Toilets were clean and well-kept. Only thing future Airbnb guests may want to consider is that Santa Teresa is located in a hilly residential area and may not be walking-friendly to all especially when going to and from the metro. Taking Uber is probably the best option if you're returning home from the metro. Other than that, Santa Teresa is full of cafes, restaurants and little boutique stores.

O café da manhã, com itens preparados pela própria Ewa, é sensacional, bem farto, com itens deliciosos. A localização é excelente: você está a uma pequena caminhada dos lugares mais agitados de Santa Teresa, mas também em uma área residencial tranquila para relaxar.

Jun 27, 2019On se sent très bien ! La maison est magnifique, très bon goût, fan de la décoration et des meubles! le déjeuner est incroyable (jus frais, fromage, pain maison, etc...). Les chambres sont parfaites pour un couple, intimité, un salon et une cuisine immense ... nous sommes restés plus longtemps que prévu ! Une hôte géniale qui a préparé des cartes avec soin, visites et bars indiqué ! Le quartier est sympa et animé, la maison se situe dans une rue calme. Pour rejoindre les points touristiques parfois on peut aller à pied sinon en Uber :) nous avons adoré ce lieu ! Merci Ewa.. et bisous à Lia !
Jun 27, 2019The Airbnb to me and my partner was like a mini paradise in itself. Breakfast was always fresh, well presented and tasty. All facilities were beautiful and very well maintained. Ubers and taxi's find it difficult and sometimes refuse to go there because of it being perched on at the top of a hill, but that was easily circumvented with a 1 min walk to the highly popular bar at the end of the street where taxi's very often pass. We walked a lot in the night time and never bumped into any characters, other than the odd tourist wondering around as well. Ewa is a great host with a lot of help in direction and restaurants personally approved as good.

Jun 27, 2019Wir hatten eine unglaublich schöne Zeit bei Ewa und können Sie einfach nur weiterempfehlen. Von Anfang an stand sie uns bei allen Fragen zur Seite und hat uns super gute Tipps gegeben. Die Wohnung ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet und man fühlt sich direkt wie zuhause. Das Frühstück war perfekt und ich werde die leckeren Früchte vermissen. Die Lage in Santa Teresa ist einfach perfekt, alles ist im Viertel fußläufig zu erreichen. Santa Teresa bietet eine große Auswahl an Restaurant, Bars und kleinen Lädchen die den Charme des Viertels ausmachen. Wir können einfach nur Danke sagen, für einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in Rio und empfehlen es jedem bei Ewa und ihrer kleinen süßen Familie unterzukommen.
Jun 27, 2019Just perfect. Ewa is extremely nice, flexible, welcoming and has great advice on things to do in Rio. Very nice rooms, decorated with a lot of taste. Breakfast is amazing. We really liked the area around the house. Really nothing to change, we were so happy that we even came back the last night to stay there before leaving Brazil.
Jun 27, 2019Ewa is a fantastic host. She is gracious and warm. She does make homemade breakfast served with peeled fruits so this is a real Air B&B bed and breakfast. So delicious she even prepared a special one when I had an early trip one day. The place is glorious. Meticulous interior design loyal to original state of the house in one of Rio’s old neighborhood of Santa Teresa is so impressive. Two bathrooms makes it so easy to get a start off your day plans. Very clean. A little more elevated than expected with some effort to walk up to in the Rio heat. Also a bit far from train station but worth it to reach to and stay in such charming place with best breakfast and host who gives you a map she made with area tips. Taxi stand very nearby a convenience leaving the neighborhood of Santa Teresa and Über all over Rio easy to go back from Ipanema or Copacobana. During Carnaval there is a lot of bloco block parties on the streets: Taxis know how to avoid them but farther routes mean more metered money. Über has flat rate but would occasionally get into traffic during Carnaval and some Über drivers get surprised of the climb up to Santa Teresa. Beautiful area of all of Rio I’m so happy to have learned about this area Santa Teresa. Safer place to walk around I think. Best souvenirs from craftsmen here Tucum (closed when I visited last day but noted my Airbnb room had a well-crafted trash can with a tag that is Tucum) and La Verada. Views of the city from Park of Ruins 12 minutes walk. I would come back here for the neighborhood charm, beautiful house, clean bathrooms, talented intelligent host and quietness the most important for me.

Jun 27, 2019Ewa und Davi sind großartige Gastgeber und ich hatte eine tolle Zeit dort. Sofort nach dem Betreten des bezaubernden und selbst restaurierten Hauses in Santa Teresa, hatte ich ein gutes Gefühl - daran sollte sich bis zu meiner Abreise auch nichts mehr ändern. Die Inneneinrichtung ist ganz nach meinen Geschmack, schlicht, funktional aber mit Liebe zum Detail - man merkt, dass Beide auf der Bauhaus Uni in Weimar waren ;) Das Frühstück war jeden Tag frisch und reichhaltig. Dafür, dass mir Ewa Sonntags sogar Pfannkuchen gemacht hat und 'Late Check-out' überhaupt kein Stress war, gebe ich 10/10 und komme gerne wieder!
Jun 27, 2019Our stay at Ewa's made our last few days in Rio really memorable. Everything is as described and seen in pictures, and better. Really relaxed atmosphere, clean and simple yet stylish interior. Ewa was always available for questions and gave us plenty of tips that took us away from the hustle and bustle of the city. She made us breakfast (which includes self-baked bread) every morning with fresh fruit and juice! We were lucky enough to also meet her little one, equally as friendly and full of smiles. It's the little things that count and make a trip enjoyable, you'll definitely find them at Ewa's.
